A complete ****ing nightmare. If you ever get a hold of a human, they're so stupid (or spiteful?) they screw your problem up worse!!! ???

For the love of God, just learn WordPress. It'll be worth it if you run into trouble.

Once had a conversation with a Wix employees who shared that if a customer of Wix ever was difficult to deal with. Wix would come back and make the customers life miserable to the point of getting rid of the customer.
Now know what the employee meant. After logging into my Wix account for years, I for some reason could not get in. Reached out to Wix. Had me cone back with multiple proofs of purchase. I provided. That however was not good enough for them. Now they are requesting additional proofs of purchase plus identity verification. Understand that this is happening after I have been with Wix for ten years.
I have had it with them, and in no uncertain terms, I let them know what I thought of them.
In essence, I have never felt with a more dysfunctional group of illiterates on my life.

I am the owner of Bagatelle LLC, a small online antiques shop and my website is hosted by Wix.com.
I have been using Wix.com for about 5 years and use "wix payment method" to receive payment via credit card.
I made a sale for $8500 plus tax on May 26th, 2023 paid by American express.
However, soon after the payment was made, I received an email from Wix saying that I needed to update my bank information (even if it did not change in 5 years).
After 5 phone calls, I uploaded several documents with my bank info, all matching Wix requirements, and tge information I had to enter manually. According to the differents persons I had over the phone my documents would work.
However, after probably 3 hours over the phone, about 10 attempts to download different documents, trying to fix that situation, it has systematically been rejected with no explanation. I was guaranteed over the phone that I would be reached out by email if that was the case, but it never happened.
Obviously, the persons I had over the phone systematically refused to give me the contact information of the department that is taking care of the payment system authentication just to make sure that such a situation will never resolve.
Since I am enable to get my money, I asked Wix to reimburse my client which after 3 days has still not be done. When I asked over the phone when it will be done, no one was able to answer.
A supervisor was supposed to call me back and it did not happened yet.
I can't get my money, the client can't get his money back, I will lose a client and a big sale, will damage my company's reputation because wix is enable to update my bank info that hasn't changed in 5 years. The structure of the company does everything possible not to resolve that situation and its best for the customer not to collect evidence as the only way you can reach them out is by calling them

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. You can never get anyone to speak to you on the phone when you have an issue. The regular customer support you speak with always say it's another department and can't do anything. Send emails and no one responds. They don't care! I wish I never go wix!

I am so sick of WIX adding what it thinks I need on MY website. Stay away. It is 10 times harder to create a website that just changes because they want to change it.

Worked with a Wix support person to ensure a smooth transition in switching my sites domain. All good until the old domain renewal came up. I was locked out as administrator. I filled out 2 forms, countless instant messaging sessions, sent them a photo of my passport. The "ONLY" way they will accept in identifying ME is to give them the LAST FOUR DIGITS of the credit card I used from 3 years ago. I have many cards, many card #'s have changed, I cannot figure out which card was used.

I cannot believe that Wix is a company of more than one person. Our company was locked out of our domain without notice and warning for nobody know the reason why, and when all our team members contact Wix, we barely got a helpful response how to retrieve our domain. A week later, they have asked several documents to prove ownership, in which we did provide, they then asked for more additional documents, in which we then again provided. Another week has passed still our company is locked out, Wix customer "support" is still sitting on all the documents we provided. You cannot call nor talk to any live person on the phone in which a simple verification can be done in less than an hour. 3 weeks have passed, still no resolution.

LONG STORY SHORT, run away from this company. Even if they give us free services, I will never ever use this. It is the worse company you will ever dealt with.

This is my first time ever writing a negative review for a company.

Wix.com commits fraud on a daily basis. Check out the BBB site or any customer review site and read the horror stories. They parse your financial information and will charge you for services you do not want. They will refuse to refund you. Then, when you dispute the charge with your bank, Wix.com deletes your account and somehow wins the dispute by stating false policies. Their practices are against CA law. Not only are you charged for something you didn't want, they delete your account so they never even have to provide a service.

I recommend anyone who has been a victim of fraud by this company to reach out to any and all of California's consumer protection agencies. I will be pursing this on behalf of all of us. They need to be stopped.

Building a site is not user friendly and the support is unclear. Customers are unable to speak to a support person on the phone.

Customer service is unhelpful, unknowledgeable, and too, too hard to try to talk to some who knows anything. Can't seem to reach those, or maybe everyone is clueless

You took $155 dollars out of my account fraudulently twice, this year and last year. We cancelled the website in 2017. Called multiple times. You fraudulently stole my card number and my bank is reporting you to the merchant bank for any charges incurred, I already changed my card twice because you did not cancel the account as requested over two years ago. I'm contacting my attorney and we are going to sue your company for accessing my account information. Suntrust is aware that this an Internal fraud issue. Your disgusting robbing customers of their money when accounts are cancelled.

Someone needs to call me now.

WIX is a borderline SCAM.

They will push you through clever wording, positioning, button colors and "Click Here Now" to get you to where they wan't you. My FREE website cost me $84 before I could get out of it. Their customer service was extremely illusive. Call the Support Line, you get sent to a Chat number. Get there and a message directs you to what is essentially email. It's not customer centric. It is misleading and professional "con" centric.

I'm aware of on-line scams and did my best to avoid the overwhelming "up selling" and misdirection. But they tricked me. I want out. Guess what. No so much as evening an order number.

So proceed with caution when dealing with WIX. They are more sly and practice than a "toss the ball at milk bottles" operation at the county fair. Be sure to count your change.

Go To Customer Service And There Is None... It Is Just Questions And Answers, So If If Doesn't Sort The Problem You Are Expected To Just Go Around In Circles...

I called to clarify questions I had regarding my domain name (I purchased it from one company and synced it up with my wix website). Wix sent a message saying I would be paying through them and I wanted to make sure that was correct so that I wouldn't lose service or my domain name because of a mix-up.
The customer service agent laughed at me because he thought my question was stupid, because "I'd already been paying for a year". He laughed at my questions twice, but not in a "ha ha, this is a fun conversation" but more like a laugh that mocks my question because I obviously should know this but I don't.
How arrogant and obnoxious. Definitely never going to recommend wix.

My Domain will not connect .. I�ve transferred it from vista print 2 weeks ago paid the transfer fee.. was given a code which Wix has accepted but have not transfer domaine it�s been 5 days.. I I don�t get resolved in next few days I will cancel my monthly subscription .. wiz had terrible customer service

Their Wix web site does not list a contact number. Had to google it. Found the number, called the number and it told me to go to the website. WTF! Anyways, had to go back to contact website wix.com/contact and requested a call back. Within a minute, the phone rang (from WIX of course), but it put me in the "on-hold" for a good 35 mins before I decided to hang up. What kind of customer service is this? A call back means a call when you ready to talk to clients, not put them on hold. Will never do business with them again.

This is unbelievable!!! The wix.com/contact page won't allow you to click on anything accept "Hire a Designer" and the phone number tell you to go to the contact page. I guess they figure once they have your money they don't have to support you. Well, joke is on you Wix, I was interested in signing up for a 1-yr subscription but based on this experience have decided to use Wordpress instead. Way to go!!!
