They pride themselves with the highest manufacturing quality standards but in reality they produce overpriced crap. I just spent $$$$ on a Single Action revolver. Never fired a shot and the cylinder hand broke the next day. Now they want me to pay for the shipping label to send the gun for repair. Their customer support sucks, there is only one guy on the phone and gives the same standard answer: "write us an email with your concerns". I will never buy anything from them again.

American standard is junk
Had a unit installed in 2018
First blower motor went in 2020
Coil went in 2021
Second blower motor went out today 10/26/23
At 1000$ a repair almost the amount of unit when new

I had a 2.5 ton they replaced it with a 2-ton was an adequate so they replaced the 2-ton with a 2 and 1/2 ton making loud noise when on in a vibration noise when running a technician came out did something with the bolts on the compressor put a blanket on for the noise to me a blanket just muffles the sound doesn't fix the problem the unit is only a little over a week old I asked for it to be replaced instead they sent a technician out to adjust the bolts on the compressor put a blanket on I want the unit replaced I paid almost $13,000 for the unit like I said they put a 2-ton unit on instead of a 2 and 1/2 ton they said they're 2 ton American standard air conditioning has a turbo motor that will do the same as a two and a half ton it didn't do it so they put it two and a half ton request of the owner it makes a loud sound coming on they adjusted the bolts on the compressor put a blanket on and did some other work on a new unit the owner wants a whole new unit put back on replaced nothing but problems

I have a customer with a 3 year old system with a leaking evaporator coil. A.S. estimated 4-6 weeks for a replacement coil. It's 108.5 as I write this review. They don't show any sense of urgency and after a full business week of calls I've gotten no where. I'll never sell another piece of American Standard. Horrible customer service!

The customer service rep was absolutely rude. Laughed at me when I was talking to her. I very well could have laughed at her on her knowledge of plumbing.

Don't buy their faucets. Purchase a lifetime warranty faucet when I put a claim in they sent a cheaper faucet with a limited warranty. So much for buying quality. I bet upper corporate loves to not back their products like a reputable company. Just send our cheapest replacement.

I recently purchased an American Standard AC unit. Upon my inspection is saw that a significant amount of the bristle/vents were damaged. Crushed against the frame. I told the installer and he said that is the way the units are delivered. He sent for 4 more units and I had to choose between the "least" damaged. I requested to meet with an American Standard rep and he said that he would say the same thing, " the damage doesn't affect performance". I was frustrated and would have left it alone but I gave feedback to the company. I called customer service and I think that I woke up the representative. H had no answers and put me on hold for over 35 minutes trying to find someone for me to talk to. His response was that "the supervisor said ....". He/she did not want to talk to me. I will continue to express my disappointment on various social media until I can get someone to talk to me. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE......

I purchased 2 American Standard toilets from Lowe's and I called American Standard to verify ID information.That woman was so rude...I called back a second time and she's the only one who answer the phone in that department.
I HATE poor customer service, and for that reason, I'll never AGAIN purchase an American Standard ANYTHING...PERIOD!!!!

1 toilet had crack in bowl out of the box, thought we could fix it then a few weeks later a large chunk broke off. Contacted them for replacement, which took them about 2 weeks to send, that toilet was even worse. Replacement toilet was in literal pieces, they shipped via FedEx and didn't bother to cushion it nor put "fragile" stickers on it. Contacted them again and was told a refund would be issued, that was on May 22nd and now they disappeared and not answering. Out $300, lifetime warranty indeed.

I called this company to get a quote on a walk in tub. I had a family emergency and had to call & cancel. When she asked me if I wanted to reschedule I said not yet because I am unsure at this time when I could do a 90 min presentation. When I said I didn't want to reschedule she hung up on me.

Also, when the scheduler called me to confirm the appointment my spam blocker blocked thier number. They called me 25 times in the span of 2 minutes. I will not reschedule now because of the ridiculous amount of times they called me & because she hung up on me.

My husband and I had a shower installed in February. We were told that it would take two to three days from demolition to installation. However, it took SIX WEEKS because the shower door was not measured correctly. TWICE. Since then, the door handle has come off, the screws are literally falling out constantly, the floor "gives" every time we step on it, and there is a constant leak from the bottom of the shower door. The painter who filled in the color on the walls around the shower said it was the shoddiest workmanship he had ever seen. Last week, I had a plumber here to repair an outside hose faucet. I asked him his opinion. He pointed out so many flaws in the work and asked us how much we were charged for such a terrible, unprofessional job. I was embarrassed to tell him. Meanwhile, my husband has called customer service 3 times. To no avail. And by the way, we were given a LIFETIME warranty on parts AND labor. What a joke. I tell everyone I know (and especially friends who are in the process of building a new home) to stay as far away from ANY American Standard installation, product, or salesperson. This has been the worst mistake that we have ever, ever made as homeowners.

Do not do business with this company. They don't respond to problems with their product or sales people. They will take your money and not provide service. There system is automated and no one answers the phone...just says leave a message. There are more reputable companies and contractors. Horrible experience. Wouldn't hire them to fix anything

I had a shower installed Dec 27, 2022. As of today, March 22,2023 I have not been able to use it. I was lied to from the beginning. A seat was to built into the shower. It was not. I have called time after time and have not received an answer to my problem. The installer caused an outside water leak which cost me extra. I have not been reimbursed for it. I would rate them on the bottom of the scale.

I bought a $50.00 toilet seat made by American Standard. A slow closing solid wood model. The hinge broke after a few months. Lowe's doesn't carry and replacement hardware. Where can I get new hinges. I won't buy another seat if they don't have replacement parts that should be $5.00-$10.00 and seems like a design issue. The seat is a nice hard wood with cheap hinges that the company must know break often.

WOW! I guess I'm not only one having difficulties with American Standsrd the company. I purchased a toilet a power flush one. I heard constant dripping inside the tank. Can get a reply. Nope all I get are crickets. Their customer service is awful!

Had an American standard heat pump installed 2018. April 2022 had freon leak. Nov.2022 had to have coil replaced at cost of $1470. Contacted Trane in Dec to ask for help because the coil was defective. They did get back with me in Jan. and offered me $500. I did not accept the money because I didn't feel it was enough. Told them if I ever needed another hvac I would not buy a Trane or American Standard. I feel like they have known for some time these coils were defective. I think they should have done a recall on them or at least reimburse for the cost of the labor and freon it cost to replace.

The Tub-2-Shower install that was to be completed before Thanksgiving is still not done. It is now January 10th. The walls are up...but that is all. Their excuses are running thin. They have lied, misled, made various excuses over all this time....and, it seems to be everyone else's fault but theirs! We've been through Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's...and now they don't even respond. I wouldn't recommend them to work on our doghouse! What we are having done is not rocket-science....just a tub-2-shower conversion. Passing the buck seems to be the norm, because it comes very easy. I've even had them 'quarantine' that the correct parts would arrive 'next-day'....then was told the parts weren't available. And, I was told the parts would be overnighted (by someone who wasn't even in the position to make that promise! Unless we are an 'outlier', I suspect they'll be out of business soon....or working under a different name. BE CAREFUL!

Hvac installed heat pump system less than five years ago and it is supposed to be covered under warranty. They are refusing to honor warranty because they require hvac to register units and hvac failed this part. Homeowner has no control. They have serial numbers and can confirm age is less than five year period but still refuse to cover

I have told them at least 10 times to never call me again. They say they'll add that to the list. It never happens and they lie! I would NEVER buy anything from them because of this. Even after telling them, several times, the person tried to ask me questions and tell me information.

I had a date set for American standard to come out and install a walk-in shower they never showed up they never called I would not recommend this company to anyone

I am a customer in Wichita KS who has been lied to by many, including Claudio Silva in corporate of American Standard for promised to give reimburse for $95 owed for 6 months.

American Standard they do lousy work they do not clean up properly they will not fix a problem when you call them they will not change anything for you after everything's been installed and you're unhappy with it I ordered a walk-in tub because I am handicapped and I thought it would be easier because I do not want to go to a nursing home and it is leaking from the shower and to my basement and I cannot fit in it it's very very small they are fighting me on it right now they want to fix the leak and they want to cut through my bedroom wall to do it and I will not allow it I would advise highly not to use American Standard for any type of work in your house they are terrible and they will not will not fix anything for you properly my husband was having this done to prevent me from going to the nursing home we are very very disappointed I do not recommend them to anybody do not call them for anything

When i signed the order for a hvac system it said I had a 12 year warranty incl. parts and labour but no one told me I had to send in serial numbers. They sold me the system they new the serial numbers!!!

1to 10 at this point I rate this product a 0. We purchased our unit, it was installed in April. Three weeks ago we were told the compressor was bad and the the company would NOT replace the unit. We were told on 9/11 that a compressor would be sent. (There were two new units less than 50 miles away) Last week I was told the compressor was shipped from Texas to Tennessee. Today we were told it is still in Memphis. We are both in our 70's and in Ill health. We have dealt with temperatures in the high 80's and 90's. Our next step is to call the BBB and/or an attorney.

My new American Standard Toilet's plunger didn't work well. I called Am Standard. Talked to a very nice lady immediately. No wait. She sent out a new, improved part, which arrived within three days. The only fly in the ointment was that she said I could disconnect the old part and put in the new one myself. In actual fact, the plumber I hired had a little difficulty with it. So, my free part actually ended up costing me $30 for labour.
