Their in-game customer support is absolutely abysmal. A customer reaches out to Game Masters when they have an issue with the written rules or policies, but all their Game Masters do it point at the policies and say "too bad." Why even have customer support service if all they do is say "we can't help?"

I was told it would take, at most, 10 days to process a request to gain access to my account after the authenticator app mistakenly blocked me from signing in. It has been 31 days and I am still locked out, and they are STILL charging me a monthly fee for a game I can't even play and an account I can't even access. Might be the most expensive, frustrating, and pathetic customer service experience I have ever had the displeasure of receiving.

I paid through Paypal for an expansion and subscription during the boxing day sale. A day later I received an email saying the payment failed. The money is out of my account and the email said nothing about a return only that Blizzard never received payment. I contacted customer support asking about a refund, and they said (after about 32 hours and 4 emails back and forth) I will have funds back in my account 'sometime soon'. After further prompting they told me I should expect it in 3-5 business days.
I understand refunds can take some time, however I still find the situation a bit unusual. I asked if they could then honour the sale price since I would miss out on the end of the sale before the refund will be in my account. They said no. I asked for a supervisor who may be able to grant me that, and they said no supervisor will be able to honour a sale price and that I just need to purchase it twice if I'd like to take advantage of the price. So essentially I either have to pay twice out of pocket, or get fcked.

The customer service representatives were unprofessional and unknowledgeable and above all else, useless. They had no ability to help with the payment system and refused to refer me to someone who would. I have not, in my entire experience shopping online, ever had such poor customer service. I would generally consider myself fairly patient and forgiving with customer service representatives, however it didn't actually feel like they had any reps, and that I was only talking to game devs. If that's the case, then what the fck, Blizzard. You are selling a product to customers, GET SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS. I would have preferred dealing with a third party call center than that clusterfck of an interaction.

What kind of company doesn't allow a simple phone call when the customer is having issues? love your games but come on... went through a whole variety of steps to contact customer support just to tell me all the steps I've tried already and then the final pages gets me to a page where I have to identify myself?! BY SENDING IN A PHOTO ID. I'm not signing up for the Military, I just wanna know why I can't log in.

It's not actually that hard to reach them, just follow the steps. But... the first response you receive will be from a bot that picks out keywords and puts together an "answer" and hopes you go away. It will be cheery and "helpful". It probably won't actually help.

Tried to buy a gift copy of Overwatch for my friend realizing I have forgotten my password. Attempted to reset my password and am now locked out of my account because it says i have an authenticator which I remember turning off a while ago, can't cancel the authenticator because my dad died recently and I had to get my own phone service with a new phone number(you need to use the phone number you linked to the account). I opened a ticket with support telling them I cannot log in to my account and they said "Need more Information" and I need to click this link to respond... guess what, you need to log in to respond to the ticket, preposterous! tried to open another ticket explaining that I can't log in to answer the previous ticket and I get an automated message after i submit that you can only have 1 ticket open at a time. I am unable to contact support now, have been locked out of my account all weekend, missed my guilds first group Nath raid, missed a guild based rated battleground run and am getting pretty fed up with this lack of quality of service. I am used to bad service from Blizzard customer support but this is definitely the worst.

A Game Master (GM) accused me of lying and cheating when I asked for help to restore items that were lost due to a bug. They were rude, unprofessional, and another GM leveled accusations as well based only on circumstantial evidence and what actual liars and cheaters were doing.

Protip: Don't accuse your longtime customers of being liars and cheaters unless you've got concrete proof to back you up.

Horrible customer service. The rep would not answer the question on account action taken, just kept repeating phrases from his cheat sheet and then actually hung up on me.

Blizzard support is terrible. For a game that charges a monthly subscription, they rarely solve your problems and never offer anything substantial to compensate when their bugs cause you to have a big time loss.

After voicing my concerns on Blizzard forums, I was banned from their use for "spamming" which I didn't do. I made several tickets to customer support ask for evidence of my spamming, which were met with form letter responses. On my fourth attempt I was told the issue was closed and any further tickets would be deleted without review. I brought this up to BlizzardCS on Twitter and they blocked me. I'm 100% sure that Blizzard just didn't like my opinions and were screwing with me to silence me.

They are utter garbage, never give them money.

Cannot log in, account was hacked and phone # and security question changed. Emailed and had to provide photo ID to ticket. GM sent no reply email saying info was fixed. All they did was unlock the account, but nothing has changed still can't get in. Can't provide feedback on ticket since I can't log in still. Submitting ticket #2.

The Worst Customer Service Attention
I Try To Change My Password (too Many Attempts) The Livechat Person "game Master Suzaminies" Did Not Help Me, Close The Conversation, After That She Send Me An E-mail (of Course I Have To Log In In Order To See The E-mail) They Are The Worst! No Respect!

It is impossible to find a "live" person to talk to. When you call the 'customer support' number, often you can not get through. And when you finally do get through a pre-recorded voice tells you to seek help elsewhere.

Now if you are inexperienced with computers, an older person, or just a 'computer dummy' like me, THIS IS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL!

It would be more helpful if when a person does call the number, a live person could be reached, EASILY.

The customer service for Blizzard is a joke, they link you in an endless loop and force you to deal with people via email instead of talking to someone on the phone, they ignore tickets, and treat you like garbage and just want your money.

Just reporting my performance problems with latest update in overwatch.Get answered by their techmaster and just blame my latest drivers that compatible with overwatch itself and recommended me to download old drivers and feels like I must try old drivers one by one and report to them frequently.

Very frustrated. Opened two tickets and no response. My son can not remember his security question. This company has made it very difficult to receive help. Poor customer service.

Legion has hands down been the expansion where I actually needed to make tickets. Probably made 5 unique tickets since launch, and the thing with Blizzard is that they actually lack empathy and dont see the problem from the customers point of view. Out of those 5 tickets, I probably had to re-open 3 of them MULTIPLE times. Only to get the same answer "Cant help with this issue" or "if it does not work after that, make a new ticket, then we will definately help"

And also, why would you even have the option to appeal bans or suspension, when no one reads the plea for mercy. First I got a automated response, which I of course had to re-open as I didnt feel like I was being heard, only to have another support staff member close the ticket. I am a employee at a ISP and I find Blizzards way of handling their customer atrocious.

But I guess, with the downfall in subs, they dont care about trying to keep a few when they ban thousands for botting. Good luck staying whole, its time to adapt to 2016.

Just Attempted the new raid Trails Of Valor With My Guild We defeated Odyn but Some Of who had died so we relaeased only to be ported to the next stage of the dungeon and when we were brought back by a warlock summon we couldnt open the chest that drops the loot so submitted a ticket were i had to argue for nearly 2 hours with a GM (Game Master Yeah Right) to be told tough luck but thanks for telling us so we can fix the issue when i asked what would happen to my chest loot they told me because there is no record on the logs of the loot (because the chest wasnt opened which i confirmed by asking how loot is generated and they told me that its when either a boss is killed or a chest is presented for loot) finally i gave up after them accusing me of trying to get gear from them and saying i lied about my ticket

I played with a game mechanic that changed during patch 7.1. Just 3 days prior to the 7.1 patch I purchased a character boost ($60) for a character I intended on playing. After the 7.1 patch the game experience changed so much for me that I decided I no longer wanted to play the game, and discontinued my subscription. I requested a refund for the character boost based on the unanticipated change in the quality of my game experience and my consequent interest in cancelling my subscription. The refund was denied, they stated that their policy is not to refund electronic transactions.

If you are looking for an MMORPG, I encourage you to look elsewhere first! This was a disappointing experience in several ways.

Got my accont silenced in overwatch for harassment, except I play with the in-game chat muted.

Tried to contact the support for an appeal, the answers clearly come from people who didn't even read what you wrote and just crt+c crt+v an answer, on top of that, they instantly close the ticket.

Every answer was done by a completely different person, none of them could even begin to grasp what I was saying. To make it worst, they all repeat the same thing "we reviewed your case and decided the silence will remain", except I don't use the game chat, meaning, it's a phony system designed to trick the consumer.

If someone who never used the in-game chat cannot get an appeal for a silence punishment, then the system is fake, it's phony. Probably why they won't even bother reading what you wrote.
