I purchased a camera on line and thought I purchased from Best Buy. Some how your company got the order and I would like to return it for a refund as it isn't what a thought it was. The packing slip does not have a phone number to contact you. I tried to take it back to Best Buy but they said I must contact your company for an R/A number. Can you send the info to me by E-mail? Thank-you.

Purchased a Christmas gift and needed to return as person had Air Force jacket already. Emailed buy.com and never received email. When I found number to speak to person, found out my purchase came through a 3rd person sale and so I really didn't buy through buy.com. If I wanted to buy from someone else I would have. I am not happy that I would have to go through a 3rd party and Now I can't return jacket as it is not in their return timeframe. I will not buy again. Carol Masino, Naples, Fl

I had been on the phone for 50 min. and counting. You have $1,344.08 of my money tied up from denying my pay pal transactions (336.02x 4 of them). I was told by sup. Ellie that she would try to contact Pay Pal 15 min. into our call. I had to call her from my cell number, where a c.s.rep. wanted to have her call me back.I at that time told her "No" I wanted to talk to Ellie the Sup.(she needs to learn to come back to the customer, and let them know just what she is doing while she is staying away from the phone so long). Ellie starts telling me the same thing that her partner sup. told me yesterday "to call pay pal", I explained that I spoke to Pay pal, and there is no issue there on their end. I just need your company to fax a letter to them on your company letter head my name, last 4 digits of the card number tied to the account, the (4) different sums for the transaction, date of trans, and that you won't try to collect from me for the merch. that you cancelled the order for. I have never seen customer service like this. I have connections to many people, and will pass along this great service :(((((((!!!!

My Credit Card was STOLEN from buy.com. Several thousand dollar charges were made with the card. It was good that the company put a hold on the card. I can see now that I am not the only one.

I ordered some frontline plus on November 1 and am still waiting on my package. Paid Anemrican express and had to order somewhere else because I did not receive my merchgandise. By now you should know that drug deals are happenning because no one has to sign for shipments. If on one is at home or the shipping company does not ring the bell they just throw the item(s) on the porch and in some cases the packages are simply taken since no one is at home. I am certainlly not implying you are part of illegal ship,ments, under no circumstances. Some times a pacakge simply disappears for many other reasons. I sm canceling my order reference $ 61.99. Sorry but there are too many comlaints on a certain website about buycom. I have learned another lesson. R P Meurrens

I will NEVER use Buy.com again. After ordering from them, my purchase (via PayPal) was involved in a scam/fraud! PayPal paid Buy.com $89.99; that fact I know. Where the $89.99 went after that is apparently a mystery since the item I purchased (a Keurig Elite) was sent to me, but CHARGED TO SOMEONE'S STOLEN CREDIT CARD! I have had to return the item to Keurig, and Buy.com continues to shirk any sort of responsibility for giving me a refund. So, I am out $89.99 and I have nothing to show for it. It is reprehensible and I will do everything I can to convince others NEVER to use Buy.com, lest they fall prey to this same sort of scam!

I odered a notebook on August 10 2012 and I thought it was great that I would get it in 1-2 business days.Considering I ordered it on a Friday, I gave it til Wednesday, WELL that didn't happened so I called only to find out that it was being "held up" because some customer service person claimed that they called me & left me a message that I didn't get either {hello cell phones do keep a call log & messages!. So when I did talked to the customer service on August 15th, we confirmed the info that caused the "hold up" and was insured that it will be sent to the confirmed shipping address tomorrow. But low and behold I get a call to confirmed my shipping package today at 2:47 on a package that I thought was already in the mail & expecting it on Friday! I will tell you this, this is a lot of firsts with this company, first time to ever order from you and the first time I EVER complained to sit down and tell a company about it. Really!!! I spent a lot of money & couldnt get a phone call explaining the reason why my order was being "held up". This will probably be my last time ordering from you & thats too bad for you cause I was looking at an expensive camera to purchase that I seen on your site. And I work at a large utility company where I am having my package delivered to an my co workers are seeing the service that I'm recieving and they are not liking it either. So you will get a bad report by just not me From any of our friend and coworkers who is considering to buy a product. Will tell them where NOT to buy! @ BUY.COM!!!

Your representative talkked with me a few moments ago and your connection was so bad that I could not understand what she said. My name is Billy d. Patty,Sr. and I reported that you failed to cancel charges for disputed delivery of furniture with Chase. My address is 39 East Highway N, Wentzville, Mo. 63385 The last for numbers of my credit card are 6229. I was told several weeks ago that all charges had been dropped. I never received the disputed items and I contacted the shipping people informing them that the order had not been completed as thought and that they could contact you company for their
returning what has been shipped.

Now I get notice that your people failed to notify Chase of the the recention of the charges.

I will expect by return mail your notice to me that you have recended the charges and that my account has a "0" balance. Thank You

It's not strange that every comment on here is derogatory (NOT NICE) I just placed an order recently and now my credit card is compromised from someone placing an order for over $500 from buy.com and over $650 from Apple online store (which I have never ordered from Apple). I called to discuss and Buy.com was very unhelpful.

I had no idea of the shipping charges until I've placed all my bank information and I was ready to check out. There is no indication of the shipping charges and why it is half the price of the merchandise. Now I have to change all my bank info.

Buy.com is originally Japanese internet shopping company, known as very pushy, strong advertising service. Once you buy something, you cannot escape from their spam. This time I tried to buy a book. After ordering, I got a mail saying that they don't have the product anymore. Then I started to receive their spam advertising mails. I immediately unsubscribe my email address, and they say it takes 5~7 business days, sending additional email. Don't use this kind of site for your shopping. It shouldn't be in Google's trusted site.

Before I proceed, I'd like to say that I placed orders from buy.com many times in the past, but this experience has completely turned me off and I would never do business with them again.
I made a purchase on 4/18. The items were listed as In Stock and Usually Ships in 1 to 2 business days. I received instant order confirmations. On 4/25, when I noticed that the orders were still processing, I emailed buy.com asking when they would ship. On 4/26, Alexis replied stating that on 4/19 someone left me a voicemail asking for more information, and to notify them if I did not received this message. I replied, and asked for them to call me or verify my address through email. The same day, Tamie responded, saying that my info was forwarded for review and that my order would be processes in 1 business day. On 4/30 I got a voicemail asking me to call to verify my address, but no number was left. After calling the general hotline number and spending hours on the phone, I finally got through to the Address Verification Department and they verified my address. Within minutes, my orders were canceled by the marketplace seller, stating that the stock at the lower price I paid was no longer available. They said buy.com took too long to process the order and it sold out. I contacted buy.com asking them to honor the price, but they refused. I spoke with 2 reps before trading emails with Robert Porras. He claimed that there was a price mistake and said they will not honor the sale. This was not a price mistake and there was no reason to assume that. I purchased the items for $118, but buy.com claims that it should have been $1218. This sells for $599 everywhere else, so there was no reason to assume that it was fat-fingered. I figured this was a clearance item, since a new model of the tablet is about to be release. I have found great deals on the internet before, this was one of them. I was offered a $25 gift certificate, which I refused. Then they offered me $100, which I also refused. Then Robert offered to price match 1 of the tablets to a competitor’s price of $599, which was ridiculous because I could have just purchases at that price originally. After I refused, he stopped responding.
This is unacceptable. Buy.com needs to take responsibility for not processing orders in a timely manner. There is no way the customer should have to pay for their negligence.

I ordered a cover for my Mac almost a month ago to be shipped to a friend's house (friend was going to bring it to me when she visited as I live overseas). I receive an email confirming my order, but nothing after that. Almost a month later my friend told me she never received the cover, so I log in to the website to find out that the order was put on hold. I called customer service and they told me that they called my billing phone number (useless, as I live overseas) to verify my credit card information, but couldn't reach me so they put the order on hold. I asked why I didn't get an email notifying there was a hold on my order, and the answer was "we can only call." I was also told that I should open a credit card in the country I'm in so that I can put down a phone number I can be contacted on. They said the account specialist would contact me within 24 hours. Still nothing, so I had to call back and ask for rush delivery, which they now say is impossible unless I re-order my cover and pay for rush charges myself. I said forget it and cancel my order, and then immediately received a lovely email notification saying that Buy.com has canceled my order because I was non-responsive to their inquiries. Never, ever, ever buying from them again!

Horrible experience. On hold forever. First order had not even been transfered to seller (Adorama Camera) after five days despite being advertised as an order that would ship in 1 to 2 days. Second order was in address verification and despite my calling address verification, they would not allow me to proceed with order. Do not use buy.com if you value your sanity!

If you live in Canada, forget trying to do business with this company. They say they ship anywhere. I can't even get them to ship to my US address. They say they will take a Canadian billing address but they don't. It is a waste of time.

I purchased an Iomega Mac Companion HD from Buy.com which did not work with my iMac running Lion in spite of claims on web site. BUy.com said work with Iomega first. Iomega tried replacing the drive but it still does not work...strongly suggesting that this drive is not compatible with Lion (Apple tells me they get lots of similar complaints). Went back to Buy.com who told me that since I "allowed" Iomega to replace the HD, I no longer had the one they sold me. They have completely refused any further customer service other than offering a $30 credit in place of a $300 HD that is essentially a brick.

If you want to have a hassle free buy and sale of a product...then DON'T BUY FROM BUY.COM. There's NO local number yet there here in SoCal. Sooooo disappointing!!! Find your products elsewhere.

buy.com is the absolute worst. eveything they say is a LIE!! you can never get through and it's one scam after another requiring constant hassle. my last purchase i got stuck for over 200.00 the promise of a refund was a lie never heard from them again. i turned them over to the BBB. BEWARE of these crooks.

So I had ordered a ssd from the site two days ago. They sent me an email the day after ordering and a day of processing to tell me that I didn't have my shipping address registered with my bank. After resending them my billing address and changing it on my bank to appease, my package is STILL going to go through a day of processing after verbally torturing a customer service representative for the faults of the company she represents. I was even told that even if I wanted to cancel it due to the fact that during the conversation my package suddenly became ready to ship while I was talking to the representative that there was a possibility I wouldn't be able to. I have never had this issue with ANY other online seller. Who asks to get the shipping address attached to the bank? It's the billing that should only matter. I only hope that others wont make the same mistake and purchase anything from this place.

We needed to purchase 565 (yes, 565) 2TB External USB 3.0 hard disk drives for a company-wide project. Buy.com specifically said they had 870 in stock and they "usually ship within 1 business day." They confirmed availability multiple times with no deviation. We ordered them and paid over $64,000 immediately. Two days went by and we didn't hear anything. Timing for this project is crucial, so we called... and called... and called... and called. We were shuffled around and, after 9 *hours* and nearly a dozen people, we were finally told they could not fill the order. They would be graciously refunding our $64,000+ "within 10 business days." Needless to say, we were livid. Our annual IT budget was over $740K in 2011, and will be even larger next year. Of this, Buy.com has insured they will get $0.

It could have been so much different, but their support, customer service, and order fulfillment should be a business school model on how NOT to run a business.

I bought a stick of RAM over two weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped. I called them 3 days ago. They tried sending me all over the place and then I got disconnected. Their sales representatives don't know anything about the products they're selling, so much as to tell me whether THEY HAVE AN ITEM or not. The company is run by a bunch of careless idiots. Never buy from buy.com.

Horrible experience!!!! Made 3 purchases on different websites (one of them was buy.com) with the same information. The other two were processed within minutes. Buy.com claimed that they couldnt verify billing address. I called the bank they said they approved the purchase TWICE!!! 5 days later still cannot verify billing address, but they were able to refund me. When I told them to contact my bank with me on the line... they said they are not able to do so at the moment. At least they were able to process my cancellation within minutes. I don't know how they stay in business. At the end I ordered from another website, got a better price and my order was approved within 10 minutes.

Buy.com has always been above the standard. I work in IT and deal with a lot of different companies. I am always much more confident when I order from Buy.com that I will get what I need.
Once I ordered the wrong ram, opened it before I noticed. Then I called Buy.com and told them my mistake. They issued an RMA for it and credited my account very quickly after they received it. This is VERY RARE in most cases I would be totally eating the cost of this mistake.

After a few hundred transactions I know I can rely on Buy.com.

Not sure why there are negative comments for Buy.com. I have been long time customer and have always been very satisfied.

Latest experience - Placed order for Samsung UN60D8000 @ $2599 (cheapest price on the day anywhere) on Thursday evening. Immediate email notification on confirming the order. Friday credit card charged and shipment made. Prompt notification. Saturday TV at the local sort facility. Scheduled delivery for TV. Delivery happened on time I requested, in the house, in first floor at the place I wanted by a very courteous delivery man.

Though I paid for normal shipment, overall experience seemed to be expedited.

Just loved the shopping for a high end item at Buy.com

I am yet to open the box and check the product - so far - EXCELLENT

Buy.com has the worst customer service of any online retailer I've ever dealt with. First a promotional coupon was automatically added to my cart, even though I did not "reach the minimum requirements" necessary for the coupon. The coupon was then not possible to remove, even by "customer service", and thus the only way I could check out was with two separate orders.

I had to find an order that processed through buy.com but was from another website. Not only did they help find the order, but also supplied me with the actual website that would be shipping and processing the order as well as giving me the order number so that I could track the package with the supplier website. The woman I spoke to was not a native English speaker but spoke very well and was pleasant. I give buy.com two thumbs up!

I have been purchasing from buy.com for some 7 years and have yet to have a problem. Perhaps soon, I don't know; but not yet. So, all we're seeing here are the folks with bad experiences and I figured I might as well put in a good one. I probably buy from them some 10 times a year; everything from a Harry Potter DVD to refurbished notebooks and new netbooks. So, I very much appreciate their being here.

I just called to follow up on a return, and I was able to reach a person in the customer service department. I can't remember all the options I selected, except I know the last number I pressed on the phone was "7".

I went through the IVR menu, and chose options related to checking status on returns, and it worked out fine.

A very helpful Buy.com rep. confirmed that we did not place the orders, said they have received other calls and asked that I help by forwarding the emails to [email protected] and [email protected].

This is the 3rd or 4th time that I have had a problem with Buy.com and, once you know their phone number, the are amongst the best as far as the speed of getting to a representative is concerned and the way they handle an issue, even if the customer screwed up the order and wanted it cancelled. Reason for the "average" reachability: they don't publish their phone number on their web site

Update 2-11-10, Thanks to being able to speak directly to a Human, regardless of how well their English speaking skills have developed, Buy.com showed actual concern for the way I was treated by abacus24/7,who is in my opinion is the third party merchant responsible for the whole mess. Buy.com took the high road by issing me their sincere apology plus a gift certificate for free ink or anything else I might need. I may have been transferred 3 times to people I couldnt understand all that well, but in the end Buy.com did the right thing and for that will get my return business. We all screw up from time to time, the main thing is trying to fix it and make it right again. gadhml7

My wife and I purchased 2 netbooks from buy.com 1 Acer and 1 Asus. They were both purchased on January 29th and we received both by Feb 5th. Actually my wife's, the Acer came in on the 3rd!!! Both were delivered by Fed Ex and arrived in perfect condition. We are EXTREMELY pleased with our purchase and intend on buying more items from buy.com very soon.

I called about a refurbished sandisk mp3 player I bought for Christmas. It no longer powers on. They offered me an exchange and sent me return instructions and an RMA #. I was very pleased.

I thought this company did well to satisfy my having to return an item. Firstly, it was my fault that I didn't further investigate this software title that I had purchased to ensure it would be able to open the vector formats I needed to work with. That being said, Buy.com was more than willing to hear me out, ultimately gave me a FULL refund-On software no less (who does that!) and went as far as to enable my shipment back free of charge. What more can I say?

I would like to rate their service as very good. Even though I got the product in 10-12 days after I booked, I don't want to blame them since I had opted for free ground shipping. I purchased a digital camera from buy.com. After 2 weeks, the price on their website for this same product got slashed by $ 68. I called the customer care (thanks for the phone number listed here) and spoke to them about the price slash. They promptly refunded me the difference amount. You need to be proactive in discussing your concerns with their customer care. The only concern I have ith customer care is the calls were getting disconnected in between very often. Had to call them 5 times to finally explain the complete situation.

Have bought numerous items from Buy.com. I have always been impressed with the speed of delivery contrary to what I have read. Perhaps that has to do with where you are located and where it is being shipped from. Yes, their phone number is a bit hard to find. It is not located on the website but a simple search will bring it up. Have only spoken to English people. For the sake of everyone else the number is 800-800-0800. Will continue to purchase from them.

I LOVE this company. Been buying stuff from them for years. Great prices, things ship quickly. Good emails with tracking info, etc... Only had one item DOA and it was disclosed prior to purchase it was Manuf. returns only, so it's back as ASUS right now via RMA. I recommend them.

I purchased a unirex CDX-22 CD-R/RW capable Personal CD player. I received the merchandise, and foung one ear bud broken . That was not the problem, the problem weas the player worked for a short time then quit. I called BUY.com and the lady I spoke to was very nice. They sent me an electronic return label and an authorization code. I mailed it back by UPS and it was received on the 19th of June.
Hearing no word back from them I then called on the 3 25th of June and spoke to a very nice man (Kevin) and was told that the item was received. Credit had been approved and would show up in 1-2 days on my credit card.

I basically had a good experience with the company.

I ordered a speaker and apparently there was a Fedex label printed but the item never actually left the distribution facility. I had some difficulty explaining my situation as the Fedex website said that the item was in transit. I told them that Fedex told me that they do not have the item and it is not actually in transit. They said they would make some kind of claim yesterday. I checked back today and called to confirm... They have reprocessed an order for this center channel speaker and it should ship in a few days. They have only charged me once and I should get my item soon. Not too bad to deal with in my experience.

It's not all bad.
I ordered 2 ups batteries and received them withing a reasonable amount of time. It took about a week. One worked well but the other one would not turn on. After a busy week I called the customer support # I found here to request a replacement. The service rep. did have a thick accent and was in a hurry but she was courteous. The shipping will not cost me and I received the shipping label by email while I was still talking to here. The only down side is that it will take about 2 weeks to get a replacement.

All in all they offer pretty good service and terms and I would buy from them again.
