I am not sure what is going on with your stores. There has been the same merchandise for years. Also, the
Jewelry rack has been empty for weeks. What has happened to this store since the pandemic.

The store Manager at North Point Mall. Please tell that manger who is sick and have for a period of time to say home. It's very inconsiderate of him to spread germs. We as customers and employees don't want to get sick. The rumors that he has the flu or pneumonia .

Tallahassee, FL. Yesterday I wandered through the bedding/linen department at you store. There was not a sales person nor cashier in sight. I purchased nothing then. walked the relative vacant Governor's Sq. MALL, to "Going OUT of Business - Macy's. Same thing there. Hopefully you can afford to hire more floor sales people in hopes of being the last remaing "department store" in Tallahassee. We have seen the demise of Burdines, Sears, Mass Bothers and now Macy's. Will Dillards be the next to go. I'm afraid so. Your service has been in decline for a long time. When one has to go to the Service Desk to find someone to pay. Are you as a corporation sereious about staying in business?

Dillard's return policy for online merchandise is too short. I never heard of a 30 day return window when the 30 days start from the date of purchase. I did not even have the clothes yet, and I already lost 7 days. I order online a lot and I have never come across this appalling return policy before. I returned the items in less than 40 days from date of purchase In original packaging and all tags still on. I wore them for a total of 2 minutes each to try them on. They were all returned to me because I was outside of the return window. It was over $300 worth of clothes. I called customer service and all they kept doing was reading me their return policy. They would not budge. Basically they stole $300 from me since they were still able to resell the clothes I sent back. I will never order from them again. I learned an expensive lesson. Increase your return window especially for online orders!! Or bend your rules. Atrocious way to treat customers.

The Wells Fargo Dillards credit card customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. It is better not to use them or the related credit card for anything. You should never trust any promo they offer either as they are uneducated, lazy, and ignorant.

I ordered 2 dresses (Alex marie and Tommyhilfiger) dresses from Dillard's thinking that I will be getting quality dresses, I was wrong, the dress material was in the equivalent of polyester and nylon, too short. Now i was aware of the nonfundable policy, but not exchange. Dillard's shouldn't advertise items online, and once you get the product it's not what you expect, wrong on their part.

Your rep accused customer of theft. She ripped off personal belongs, dug in purse and ask for "the good stuff". Unbelievable. I don't know her name, but she weights about 350 lbs and we would call her a Karen. If she works in you clothing store you might let her know that stirrup pants went out in the 90's and offer lessons on etiquette and customer relations. You can't be ugly and a Barney Fife at the same time. She was rude, uneducated unprofessional and all around terrible person. I assume she stole the customers personal belongs for herself. She stole items, something she seemed to have a great voice of bullying. Get her out of the store or you'll be loosing half of your customer base with her power trip.

No customer service provided nicely, and no response.

Dillards used to have the best sales on black Friday and New Year's Day. I was very disappointed that their sale today was almost nonexistent. I have been a faithful customer and a Dillards credit card carrier but I am going to start referring to Belk department stores, their sales are much better. I know the pandemic has changed a lot of things yet other department stores, and stores have tried to get back to some normalcy with sales. Shame on you, Dillards! Dillards would much rather sell their clothing by the pound to retail outlet stores, then reduce the price or have a good sale for us regular customers.

Posted by Denise Partridge

Moving your sale mercahndise to the outlet in Houston is not a good idea... its located in a bad area of town....I spend thousands in your store... I shop the sale first then move onto the regular merchandise... I mentiond this to a few other women shoppers and they too noticd the change .. they said they aren't shopping Dillards anymore because of this new change...Your sales people know me by name .. they know i am loyal and spend alot with them... But since you have moved all sales out .. i probably won't be in as often as before .. I am an Elite member so i get the benefits from my spending.... however I won't be spending like i use to spend..... There are endless options for women with high income over 35... andn sadly Dillards my go to store won't be on my list..along with alot of other women......

I have been a happy Dillard's customer for more than 4 decades, shopping primarily at Dillards in the Mall of Abilene, TX. Usually returns at Dillards are easy, thanks to POP labels! However, I recently needed to return a top that was purchased at the full price of $79. After the first washing, it came apart at one of the seams in an area about 3 inches long where it was obvious that enough fabric had not been caught in the serger. Ms Anna White, the store manager, refused the return because the shirt was no longer in it's original condition since I had washed it after wearing ONE TIME! This manager seems to care more about her policy than her customer; I was totally shocked at the poor customer service and lack of value I felt from her.

Dillards in Huntsville Al at Parkway Place Mall has the worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I took a pair of shorts in to exchange for exactly the same thing just a larger size. I had my receipt. The sales associate immediately told me without tags there is nothing I can do for you. $78 shorts with about $400 dollars worth of other items on the
Receipt. I asked to speak with a manager. The associate rolled her eyes and began to actively ignore me. Manager Brandy did come out and reiterated what the sales associate had said. Well I can't wear the stupid shorts so I left them there. Horrible corporate policies, terrible employees!!! I will never spend 1 dollar in this store again! And I shop there at least once a month!!!

4/9/22- I purchased a suit jacket from the Mens formal wear department at the Arrowhead Dillards , Arizona. Tim your sales associate is "TOP NOTCH ", he knows his stuff and truly is an exemplary representative for Dillards. Now, then I met Chris (manager) 4/9/22 because I was returning the suit jacket (did not wear it), I didn't have the tags on it but had the receipt. Chris was called because Tim was having an issue and then Chris proceeded to insist that I wore the jacket and that without the tags I could not return it. He referred the receipt, indicating it would tell me that I had to bring it back with the tags on it to return it because it was a suit jacket and not just a $60 pair of pants! I met the returned merchandise requirements: I brought it back in 30 days, original condition and with a receipt- no where on the back of my receipt does it indicate "original" equals "TAGS". Chris appeared to me to be more interested in accusing me of lying- not a manager I would want to talk with my customers! Rating for Tim (10) and rating for Chris (-5).

Horrid horrid customer service for on line orders. Called 5 times over last week find out why order not delivered. After holding up to 30 minutes I get hang up from Dillards. One time I got a person said would research and get someone call back. Of course no call back. This is a company that wants to go out of business

Stopped by Dillards midland to buy a car seat Nuna horrible experience from start to finish. It took 35 minutes to get help and when we finally got help the Associate that helped us stated that she didn't need to be called until we made a decision on the purchase. Come on just because we are young doesn't mean we can't afford a $800 set. Icing on the cake was the face that she sold us a empty box. Pass forward 3 hr and a second trip to the store we were told that the item that we wanted was sold out and the box that was sold to us was for the display only. Okay fine they made us take the display box back to the isle. Unbelievable.... Please look into this matter and train your employee with common courtesy and product knowledge.

Horrible experience today at Dillards from sundland park at shoes department very bad customer services from the person who helped me, he literally made It seem like he just didn't care about what i needed like if he was in a rush to leave. Talking to me in a very rude way for example at the moment of paying he told me. You need to insert your card! And not even asking if i needed something else when i asked for a shoe size he went to the back for the longest time while other people waiting for shoe sizes and no one else was around to help.when he came back with the size i asked he went right away to the back and took like 20 min to come back out. For what is worst This guy was wearing his mask under the nose and another customer asked him in front of me to wear his mask the right way. His answer was oh i am sorry about that, put it the right way and In less than a second moved the mask under his nose again and said, Oh its because i don't like it because my glasses get all foggy i am sorry. And left it like that. Me and the other person asked him to put it correctly a couple of times or take it off completely and he just didn't do it. this employee could not care less for customers or protection for other people around him with all this corona virus situation. It is just not the way to be working as a customer service associate.

I went to Dillard's today looking for a perfume specifically looking for a Tom Ford perfume . The lady was very nice, she showed me a few of them and let me try on a few. Finally I decided on one of them that was $138. On my way out I open it to try it on again, to my surprise the bottle was empty. I could not believe it and was shocked. I immediately returned to the lady and explained to her that the bottle is empty. She asked for the seal with the tag on it.I ran back to the garbage can by the door to get that seal with the tag. She looked at the tag, then looked at the bottle. The bottle had a "T" written in black ink at the bottom of. She said she was calling a manager. The manager came and they told me there's nothing they can do for me until the morning when the owner of the store will have to make a decision. So let's see what happens tomorrow.

A few years ago I walked into your Dillard's store in St. Joe. While I was looking around I heard this woman going off on one of the associates there. At first I thought it was a customer, but later found out it was the store manager. After hearing the way this woman (store manager) was going off on the associate, I decided right then that I would never go back. Then a few months ago, a friend talked me into going back. So I did. Everything was good for the couple of visits I made. Then a couple of months ago, I was in the store and here was the same woman on a tirade with another associate. A very nice gentleman who had helped me on a couple of occasions whenever I came in. I immediately turned around and walked out of the store. Again vowing to never go back! My friend and I decided a couple of weeks ago to give it another chance and go back in. When I did, I found out that the gentleman, who had been taking the woman's abuse, had recently quit. This woman was rude and very disrespectful of the associate AND the customers who heard this. Along with being embarrassing to the associate. I give the associate 5 stars for putting up with the verbal abuse, but I give the store and store manager 0 stars. If she wants to yell at an employee, she needs to take it off the sales floor.

I had to return my sons clothes which his father bought him the wrong size my son just turned one year old and he bought him a size 3 to 6 months which was really tight and short . My son had it on for about one hour and now I am stuck with it he bought it for $40.00 dollars 2 months ago I had the receipt and the tag but they refuse to take it back . Which was the worst shopping experience I have ever had at Dillard's . The cashier called her manager the same way the manager treated me . I have worked retails even in a grocery store we were taught to make our customers happy . Not just like that we can not take it back no reason . No explanation only she said she will lose the money . But she didn't realize that she is losing a customer for ever . Just this was at store #1 I think in Boise square mall .

I wanted to express my deep gratitude for one of your employees honest and commendable actions. I had been purchasing fine fragrance from this employee at the counter. When I went to pay, I put my bag down that was from Sephora where I had just purchased $350 worth of products there. I inadvertently left that Sephora bag on the counter. This employee was honest and took the bag to the service desk in case I would realize I had left it. I indeed did notice and was beside myself worrying what had happened to it. I retraced my steps and called Dillards the next morning after praying that no one had decided to pick it up or had a finders keepers attitude. Sure enough the customer service desk verified that they had it and that fine fragrance had turned it in. I can't tell you how much I appreciate and am grateful for this honest employee of yours. The stuff in that bag were Christmas gifts. I hope that you can recognize the integrity and character that this person showed in this act of turning in that bag. It would have been very easy for her to keep these products for herself. I don't know her name but she was very distinctive- very pretty, very tall, middle aged, distinct accent- so much I asked where she was from - Bosnia. She was working at the fine fragrance counter on Black Friday at the Crestview Hills location in Crestview Hill Ky. About 4:45pm. I hope you can reward her in some way. I was able to find her when I picked up the bag from customer service and thank her myself, but think her actions deserve recognition that I'd seen by her peers and management. Thank you.

I received Tom Ford perfume for Father's Day receintly. Love the scent, however it last no time ,seconds . I have the receipt, purchase using cc. Where do I bring the item for a refund? $150 is way overpriced for this product. Thank you.

I am writing a commendation for an employee of Dillard's Clearance Center in Gulfview Square Mall, Port Richey, Florida. Karen works in the women's shoe department there. She is personable, hard-working and efficient. On a recent visit, I mentioned my dissatisfaction with a pair of Dansko sneakers I had previously purchased there that had developed defects after only six months of wear. I did not expect satisfaction since I knew this store has a no refund, no return policy, but was simply sharing my views on the product. Karen suggested I write to Dansko's corporate office as she felt they would want to keep their customers happy. I did so and was amazed that they offered a pair of replacement shoes. Thanks to Dillard's and their excellent salesperson, I am once again a happy shopper!

Operations Manager, Mr Jason Harvey, is located at the Dillards in the Harbison Mall in Columbia SC. I am writing to tell you what an asset Mr. Harvey is to your operation. There was a major snafu done by Fed Ex & my local post office that resulted in the delivery of a dress I had placed an order for in your store to be returned. The dress was ordered in time for a special occasion. However once the dress was returned it was doubtful that the return order was first found and then resent out in time for the occasion. In stepped Mr. Harvey who diligently and thoughtfully contacted and tracked down the dress which had been returned to your fulfillment center in Arkansas instead of the lock box at the Harbison store. Mr Harvey tracked down this dress for well over a week, keeping me in the loop every step of the way. My dress is going to arrive in time thanks to his consistency . I think Mr Harvey is a gem, and I wanted you to know what a value employee he is. I already thought very highly of Dillards and he has definitely made me a believer that your organization makes your customers an important priority. His customer service was exemplary and I needed you to know that. My sincere thanks a lifetime customer and Dillards card holder Margaret McDaniel-Segars

I would like to recognize one of the employees at the Dillard's in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her name is Taft and she works in the women's shoe department. When I first started to look at shoes I was waited on by an employee who asked me what I wanted, showed me a few things and then basically left me to my own devices. As I was leaving, with no shoes, a pair of sandals caught my eye, but the other woman was nowhere around. Taft appeared and immediately came over and offered to get them for me. She proceeded to assist me in my search for a comfortable, but dressy, pair of sandals for a special occasion. She made many trips to get the shoes I was interested in trying on, made very helpful suggestions and was generally engaging, informative and attentive. She also greeted anyone entering the shoe department with a friendly word and smile. Taft is an impressive young woman. I'll be sure to ask for her next time I'm shopping for shoes.

The Waco Tx store is always a pleasure to go and shop , but it's always a apple in the barrel to spoil the whole bunch ....on a Monday morning 11am (10 / 11/21) went to go get a gift wrapped from a purchase had fantastic service as l was waiting ,l walking around everyone was so nice speaking and saying can l help you ,just great customer service, walked over to get some bed slippers ,the employee looked me in my eyes and never said one word l stayed in the area just making a decision on which ones to buy ,still never said nothing and I was the only customer... never said one word to me. Went to pick up my package in gift wrapping,l asked her a question, got the best answer, no she will not get any commission if l purchase the slippers out of her department .thank you to the young man working with the watches who gave me directions when l entered and checked me out with my slippers. It might not mean much but kindness goes along way and you never know who that customer might be.

Great customer service by Shelley in Ladies Apparel at the Superstition Springs Mall in Mesa,AZ. My 2 Granddaughters needed new swim suits and it was the first time moving up kids to Ladies Apparel. Shelley was so helpful by asking them questions on what they liked then found several choices for them. She made sure everything fit perfectly and even ordered a smaller size for one of them to be shipped to my house. She made my Granddaughters first time in the Ladies section such a positive experience. Thank you Shelley!!!

Miss Olea went above and beyond to help me find substitutes for my cosmetic that were out of stock.
So nice to see you guys people being kind. Thank you Miss Olea.

I had the best experience at Dillard's Oak Court this weekend. The young sales consultant, Alanis Rich, was the most helpful shoe person! I have looked all over Memphis for comfortable, stylish sandals. Most salespeople I've encountered recently were not helpful at all. Alanis went out of her way to help me find the perfect shoe. She was super busy but continuously made sure every customer had what they needed. In addition, she was very friendly while multiple people asked for shoes to try on. I am so impressed and plan to shop there much more in the future.

Our experience at Asheville's Dillards was extraordinary today. Tina Bradley was our clerk in the men's department. Her personal care, communication skills and friendliness were a cut above our expectations. I have to say that our conversation with Tina was the highlight of our shopping trip. We will look for her on future shopping days. She certainly deserves kudos for representing the best that Dillards has to offer.

Well I asked Matt and he immediately downloaded an app,put his phone in the air and I got my song. Now that might not be a big deal to yall, but it made me a happy woman. Now I pat my feet and remember the good Ole days. Thanks Matt,I wish I have gotten your last name.

I shop often at Dillards and want to give a kudos to Wendy Haun at The Dillards in Santan Village in Arizona. Wendy was more helpful than an other clerk who has assisted me. She was positive, high energy and super helpful. Wendy Haun does Dillards proud. If I were looking for an employee, I would hire her in a heartbeat. Thank you Wendy Haun. Mary Beth

I had a wonderful experience at Dillards at San Tan Village (Arizona) this past week and I wanted to share my comments with management.
First, I went to the Clarins cosmetic counter where I was helped by Kari Drosos. She was so nice; she made my experience there very pleasant. She is personable and professional and I had so much fun dealing with her.
Next, I went upstairs to look for a few things to take on my vacation in July. I'm going on a cruise and I really wasn't sure what I was looking for. Here I met Wendy Haun. Another wonderful employee. She helped me put together a few outfits and she made it fun too. I will return to shop clothing on days she is working for sure.
Thank you Dillards...my new favorite store!!!

I am a person who HATES to shop but I am going on a 21 day cruise and need new clothes. I went to various stores in search for new clothing. My experience at your store was fabulous because I was fortunate enough to have a sales clerk who attended to my every need. ROBIN at Dillard's in The Oviedo Market Place was very personable, knowledgeable and willing to go the extra effort to assist me in finding the correct sizes and styles. I would like to again thank ROBIN for helping me and when I shop again I will start in your store because of the customer service I was given by ROBIN on 7/19/2016 & 8/5/2016.

I have been an employee for years at Dillards. God only knows how I have managed to stay there that long! The sales goals are completely ridiculous and unreachable! Every month we get about 20 new employees and out of those new hires there might be 1 or 2 left after about 3 months. Also we have a manager named Sanela. She works about 20 to 25 hours a week but somehow I think the company "thinks" she is putting in 40+ hrs a week. They are on a constant watch for employees cheating the company when its actually the managers that they need to keep their eye on. Dillards will eventually start to crumble and completely fall as long as they continue to be a rated "F" company do the their money hungry and uncaring tactics given to their employees.

I am a former Dillards associate. I have worked there for two years. I have to say that it is the worst job I have ever had in my life. The amount of stress, anxiety and utter mental and physical exhaustion are not worth it! It is a hostile and completely unprofessional environment. I have never seen so many unhappy, over worked, resentful and insecure employees in any other work place. The employees are treated like garbage, the work load, sales quota and demands for credit applications make no logical sense. The employees are "Punished", written up and threatened with termination as a scare tactic to produce more sales and credit apps. When they fire you they write "failure to perform" or "breaking company policy" on your pink slip - so you are not eligible to receive unemployment benefits.
The employee turn over is shocking.
Pay cuts, write ups,Punishment, threats, scare tactics, exhausting work load and a severely unprofessional work place all give Dillards a terrible reputation inside and out. There is good reason for it.
Don't apply.
Understand that Employees are not responsible for company policy. And getting abusive with a sales associate or customer service associate - will not change the policy.

I was a former Dillards associate and know the frustration of working there. I had a terrible cosmetic manager who was never there. In defense of Dillards, however, I will say that their customers know of their lawsuits and take advantage of the store. People use to come in and steal, wear clothes and try to return them, change tags -- you name it. I was new and on the job for only a few weeks and a lady came in and wanted a full refund on a coat that was a year old (you can tell by the tag the age of the item). Their 3 day return policy is probably a good thing and I imagine all other stores will start enforcing the same policy except WalMart.

I was an employee of Dillards at Willow Bend Mall. It was the worst work experience in my entire life. Thoughts of jumping off the escalator crossed my mind on several occasions, but the fear of messing up the clothes I just folded, snapped me out of my funk.

Don't apply, don't apply!

I have worked for Dillards at Greentree mall in Clarksville, IN for 8 years. In that time I have always strived to to my best and looked at Dillards to be a great company to work for. That is until Charlie Hufford the store manager came in. He is very mentally abusive to his employees and treats us with total disrespect. He works through abuse and humiliation to get what he wants. Everyone complains but is afraid to report him because they are all afraid of losing their job. If he gets mad at an employee for any reason he calls the person into the office and yells and swears at you until your in tears. He will also belittle you until he gets what he wants. You would think that with all this abuse that something would get done about it. I, myself feel as those my hands are tied. The only way I know how to get this out somehow is to post this message and hope that someone out there reading this will help us.

I have shopped at Dillard's for many years; even worked there in the past. The customer service is great, especially the Jewelry Specialist Lauren Nelsen in Strongsville, OH. She spent extra time in finding a product at another store. She deserves a compliment from management. carol

Dillard's is possibly the worst job I have ever had. The managers treat the employees with disrespect. You work hard every day just to get treated like dirt. The quotas are the worst thing of all. It doesn't matter how much you do for them, or the customer, if you don't make your quota then you get a decrease in pay. Everything revolves around your quota. It wouldn't be so bad if returns didn't count against you. There is so much I could say about this company, but I think I would have to write a book to hold it all. I have gone home in tears because of the treatment I have received.

In response to the person above me, I am a former Dillard's associate. You are an example of why Dillard's is known for having such poor customer service. You say the customers are only caring about themselves. That is the point. They came to shop for THEMSELVES. How do you expect them to spend more money or to remain hushed of an unsatisfying purchase just to help you with your commission? No. Your job is to serve and help THEM. Instead, you are thinking about yourself and your commission. The point of your job is to fight harder for sales for each sale you lose. Not to justify it by saying that the customer is wrong for not spending or wanting their money back because of a product's failed expectations. Minimum wage will be your life.

I am an employee at Dillard's and I will speak in defense of Dillard's. Dillard's has the worst and most abusive customers that I have ever seen in my 15 years in retail. Dillard's customers DO NOT APPRECIEATE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE and are not LOYAL although they pretend to be. I have never seen anything like it before. Most of Dillard's customers don't want to pay the price for the merchandise, all they do is complain and ask questions like when is your next extra off or 70% off sale? If they do purchase anything regular price, even after an associate has given them all of their attention and excellent customer service, the customers will do things like wear the merchandise (especially shoes) and want their money back and will get enraged when they are denied. Customers at Dillard's will also return merchandise if they have knowledge of any extra percentage off sales. This is a huge problem because the nice associate that helped them works on commission but the customers don't care at all. They are all about themselves. I've had customers do horrible things like sever and cut shoes pretending as though it just happened, just to get their money back.
