Dominion Energy needs to read these reviews,because there are a lot of pissed off people on here.I count myself as one of them.All I've gotten now for the past 2 months is the run around.Oh let me connect you with a supervisor.Yeah right.All this company cares about is making sure you pay on time.Not when you have an issue.They just read from the script and say we're looking into it.Dominion feel free to call me so I can tell you how I really feel...

They have messed my account up since July,2023 and I have called so many times about my account and they keep giving me the run around, they will not let me speak with an supervisor. I need help

Good luck trying to get a response from anyone there. If you do manage to get a real person after waiting on hold for almost an hour, they'll need to "check something" and "accidentally" drop your call. While most people were pleasant, nobody will bother to call you back when they say they will or give any kind of update. I'm patient. If they'd called me any of the multiple times they claimed they'd follow up and just tell me the issue was more complicated than they realized and that they were still working on it, I would have been perfectly happy with that. However, when you've been trying to get something taken care of for over a month and a half with several hours spent on hold, it's just frustrating. The only positive thing I can say is that they do seem to be quick to handle outages. So I guess I have that going for me, which is nice.

Terrible customer service I called to pay my bill and wasn't going fast enough for the automated system and was transferred to a rude lady that hung up on me. All I wanted to do was pay the bill maybe get a couple of questions answered about why the system was saying the wong number for my account and this didn't leave me feeling comfortable with the automated system trying to get my card info and it going into the wrong account. Which I have had issues with in the past. And she just hangs up. So frustrated and all I want to do is pay the bill ...

Dominion Power has effed up my account. I transferred service to a new address, they kept messing up the address. They also told me I owed $260 that must be paid prior to transfer. I did that have have proof but they never transferred my service to my new address. More than 1 month after moving to the new address, I got a bill for $620 at my new address...but with the OLD address on it. No yellow USPS sticker on it or anything, just the old address, at my new address. I paid the bill and then called because the first time I tried calling after getting this bill there was some chick on the line who refused to speak at all, I had to ask hello and when she began speaking it was clear she was very unprofessional, mumbling, etc. I hung up and called back only to eventually be told they "don't have access to my prior bills" due to the "upgrade" and that they don't have my correct apartment number. I have been waiting on hold for 43 minutes as I type this. There are too many problems with Dominion to list.

My last bill was May 31st. It was paid on time, as evidenced by the transaction clearing my bank. They do not reflect this payment. They have yet to issue a new bill - seven weeks and counting. There are no notifications to me through the account, no postal mailing, and no email about any issues with their billing system. My last call with a clueless customer service rep ended with a disconnection - she didn't call back and neither did I. I immediately filed a complaint with the State Corporation Commission, and there is no progress on the complaint.

Dominion is a joke. I moved to Blythewood, SC about a year ago. We've had 6 or 7 power outages including one last night AND another todsy going on several hours. I previously lived in Florida for 7 years. We had fewr outsges in that 7 years than with Doininion this past year . I'm filing a complaint with appropriate regulatory agency and posting these complaints on social media. I even opening a Twitter account for that reason

Same as below - the website is messed up, it will not accept payments correctly. You can try for multiple days and it will not work. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone unless you want to dedicate hours to the cause. If I go online to pay my bill today, I should be able to do so. There are no notices on the website for their payment system being down. It keeps saying my payment failed as if I don't have money in my account. I have plenty of money and all the other utilities are accepting my card just fine. It's ridiculous to have to keep remembering over the course of days at a time to have to log back in and try again.... and again... and again. They are TERRIBLE. Always have been - and there is no one else you can get your power through around here.

Last March a usual I was able to pay my electric bill with no problems. In April and now May my Dominion Energy phone app no longer works for paying bills. I followed all the prompts for resetting the app but no results after spending over an hour with the attempts to fix the problem. Likewise, there is no access to my through the Dominion Energy website. No one from customer service can be reached by phone. How do I pay my electric bill. I noticed that Berkshire Hathaway purchased Dominion Energy and we the people and customers had no say I this for profit corporate takeover of what should be a public utility. In the meantime my electric bill will get larger if I cannot pay the bill. The customer service hours are inconvenient for people working during the day and I can expect a long wait on the phone. I am a teacher during the day. I don't have the time to wait over an hour on the phone and maybe reach someone in customer service to solve this problem.

Dominion Energy is the single most dishonest and deceitful company I have ever dealt with in any industry, and I am a high profile marketer that deals with many companies in all sorts of sectors.
They were the service provider for my previous home, and before moving I paid and closed the account.
Well, 6 months later, and I find out that my credit score has dropped over ONE HUNDRED POINTS. Grabbing my credit report I tracked the issue down to an account through Dominion Energy that was listed as a CHARGE OFF! For those of you that do not know, charge off's are generally reserved for larger accounts that have been delinquent for a year or more.
So I call Dominion to ask what this was all about, and a computer automated system asks me for my email to confirm my identity. No problem that's common practice. However....
The lady on the phone tells me that there was another charge to my account for $55 that they have been MAILING to my OLD ADDRESS THAT I TOLD THEM I DO NOT LIVE AT ANYMORE WHEN I "CLOSED" THE ACCOUNT!!!!
So when I asked the lady why I was not notified about this bill by email or any means other than mail (to my old address) she claimed that it was "just their procedure." Even though the company CLEARLY has my email (current) because I had to confirm it to even speak with her, and they were not getting a response from me via mail to the outdated address they did not change.
This is horribly irresponsible credit behavior, and it's sad this is what it comes to with an energy company as opposed to a lender of any kind. I currently have one of many lawsuits against the company, and I hope the great people of the BBB make sure to spread the word that Dominion Energy is a horrible company and needs to be banned from credit reporting for how immature and dishonest they handle their process.

This has got to be my worst experience dealing with ANY company in my life. I've been on the phone with Dominion energy every day this week, waiting in line and on hold for extremely extensive periods at a time, yet still my service isn't restored. I already made my payment since Monday (this is after waiting almost a week for them to set up this great new online system of there's). If only there were other energy company's to choose from because customer service is the worst. The best representative you'll ever get working there is Holly, the only individual that willing tried to assist me today. Still on hold waiting for someone to come on the line after being transferred AGAIN (been on the phone for almost 4 hours today) and I won't hold my breath on a resolution since everyone is so transfer happy there.

Called two different days. First was a 49 munite wait time. Two days later tried again...Over 1 hour and 30 min phone wait time! Just want to transfer service to renter. Friendliness and Product/Service Knowledge not graded because I haven't been able to reach anyone. No concern for customer's time. That is a monopoly for you.

Tried to pay my electric bill of $169.42 on the phone over this last weekend. Automated answer said the system was not working and should be back in service by April 10 (my due date for bill). On April 10 the automated answer when calling Dom. Energy customer service said large volume of calls with long wait. After half an hour a REAL person answered. Said she'd switch my call to third party to pay. She cut me off. I looked up the third party billing phone number. Called & gave them my account number. Said they could not find my number. Got back on the merry-g0-round phone number on the bill. This time I got an automated answer and plugged in my account. It said I owed $388.26. I was holding my bill which said $169.42. I COULD NOT GET ANY REAL PERSON in customer service to resolve my problem. So I am mailing my bill today which will be late. I do not want to pay penalties after spending several hours trying to pay my bill on time. On-line the Dominion Energy information says you can talk to customer service at their number (866) 366-4357. THIS IS A BIG LIE. If you talk to a real person, it's a fluke. Frustrating!!!

They put you on a payment plan but then charge you a ridiculous amount for the intitial payment for the NEXT DAY. How does that make any sense??

The worst energy provider I have seen in the US. I talked to over 6 representatives between December and January all gave me different stories. They made me pay 2 full months electric bills for an apartment I did not live in.

I called to turn gas on. The first lady said there was a balance at the location. Couldn't speak to me about it. It was a different name on acct. But All I need t do is send n lease pay deposit. I sent it in a different lady said I have t pay it. I told her what first lady said.
I said is it in my name. No. Why do I have t pay it. I didn't turn it on. It's not my bill.
I said just cancel give me my deposit back, and allow me t do the survey at end of call. She did for 20 seconds. I couldn't leave my complaint. So I'm leaving it here. First how do they allow people without a lease t turn gas on without a lease. They don't pay and leave a bill. The person with the lease have no say so. It doesn't make any sense. It's their fault. I didn't agree for gas. Go after the person you agreed with. Without a lease.
They can't talk to me because name not on the past due account. But want t discuss Payment from me now! On an account that I have nothing to do about. REALLY!
Bad practice. You should make sure you turn on for correct person! And I got t wait up to 10 days for my refund by mail!

Regarding application for appliance's rebates; requesting information on new appliances is satisfactory. However, providing complete sales/appliance cost/serial number of old appliances is ridiculous and time consuming. Old appliances having been hauled off makes it impossible to provide the information.
I have decided that the rebates are not worth the trouble (F) for failure.

Dominion Energy in South Carolina has very poor customer service representatives. When you call, you end up being on hold for over 1 hour-which is ridiculous! When you try to dispute the bill and or make an arrangement the customer service representatives are not helpful

With inflation at 8.5%, food prices up 14% from this time last year, COLA adjust for SS recipient at 5 5%, Food Stamp,SNAP,EBT benefits COLA 12.5% (Starting Oct.1), the all Carrington DR gave it's retirees a whopping, 2.5%. Definitely a caring company

Dominion Power literally steals from their customers and were caught red handed (ie: They're THIEVES!). Then when it simply rains or there's a 10 mph wind, the power goes out for a week while the pinhead field techs lay sleeping in their trucks in shopping center parking lots so they can make a killing on overtime. Do we get compensated when we have no power for 7 days? Of course not!
These idiots will shut your power off in a New York Minute if you're late with your payment.
These corrupt people need to take all the money they stole from the millions of people they "service (Yeah, they service us alright!) and invest in some modern equipment. Parts of Europe have had underground lines since the 1930's.
We have a bunch of sticks holding wires up only to fall down when the wind gets over 10 mph.
I bet you the thief, corrupt CEO's of Dominion Power never lose power at their mansions....

Ridiculus hold times and no communication on service issues. Constant unusual call volumes, over an hour on hold and then no information because the only person that has any knowledge is on vacation. There is apparently one person at Dominion who can help me and no one backs them up. How big is this company? Do they need to hire more people?

Yesterday afternoon was a very bad weather day here in Hampton Roads. It was the first real trial of the underground power lines here in the Rivermont section of Newport News. NO POWER LOSS!!!! The area had lots of trees down and traffic lights out but we had power!

My review is more than great great great!!!!! The customer service person (Tonya) did something that is very very rare. She made me feel heard at every moment. People need to realize when the power company comes out sometimes it's quick and easy sometimes it is not. It is dangerous it is hard work they have to work in the heat they have to work in the cold and the rain. I for one appreciate what they do and a lot of people have to be very patient cuz sometimes it is not a quick easy job and is it dangerous for those people they better think God that they got people like Dominion out here fixing electricity so we all can have power cuz me myself I would not want to be out in the cold or the heat or messing with power lines cuz it is very dangerous so people need to think about this and appreciate them. And if people that do not work in electricity or with Dominion or any power company if y'all think you can do better then go ahead and try to get up there and fix it yourself and see how easy it is.

September the 14th 2021 electricity went out 6:00 in the morning came back on at 8:00. Thank you Dominion power very much I appreciate the service and it was very quick I thought I was going to take longer cuz it said that people in North Chesterfield it was like 2,000 people out but the power was back on quickly I thank you for your service. I appreciate the work that y'all do because it is very dangerous so I applaud you thank you for the great job y'all be safe and keep up the good work..

We live outside of Waynesboro. We had a component on our transformer pole blow (we heard it) and all of the power went out. No lights or heat and temps were dropping. We have a well pump so no water and we have an engineered septic system which requires a pump so no septic.

We called Dominion at about 4 pm and Tom came by 5:30. He was up in the bucket right away, replaced the component by 6pm.

Great service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had Dominion upgrade my service from 200 to 400 amps. Cathy Bell came to my residence twice to survey the site and answered all my questions. She even brought the new meter box so I would not have to go to Dominion to pick one up. The service crew was friendly and professional. They installed a new transformer, spliced in the new power and refilled the trench. They were done in 1 1/2 hours. Great job by everyone!

I had four gentleman from Dominion Virginia Power come to my house today to fix the wire coming into the meter. They were so nice and amazing! I can't tell you how refreshing it was to have nice people do the work. Their names are Jamie Jamerson, Billy Wallace, Brian Ward and James Ipock. I would love to provide their names straight to Dominion Power for them to get credit for how great they were.
Also, they were all previous military so thanks Dominion for hiring these guys!

Dominion BUDGET is nothing but BULL CRAP IN Virginia I have complainted to Dominion several times about my so called budget to help people .This so called budget bill that seem to be getting higher and higher, I can't afford their so called budget Plan for me of $300.00 my heating system broke i had no heat for months the system was shut off,, OMG my bill came in the same how can that be???Then my stove broke,I unplug it but my bill was still the same WHO'S electric am i also paying for? something needs to be done about all this.

Amazing that the website for Dominion Power and our local phone book does not list a phone number at all that I could find - they have "well-insulated themselves" from the public they serve!

I would like to commend Va. Power Company employees for their tremendous efforts during this Natural Disaster. I have seen a lot of Negative feedback because some people are still without power, but I see Va Power employees out risking their lives and saftey every day.I have nothing but good thoughts for them. This storm was devastating and completely out of the hands of Va. Power. We need to stop complaining and let them do their work and be thankful they are willing to respond to this in spite of the dangerous conditions they are placed in .
I am keeping my thoughts with them and may they be safe.
