Googled my local theater. Clicked a Fandango link because I had a gift card. Thought I was purchasing a ticket to my local theater. Arrived to discover the tickets were for downtown with no time to get there with my 80 year old mother. Purchased new tickets at the local theater. Staff said that Fandango would refund our prior tickets. I tried, but it was 3 minutes after screen time (even though the movie wouldn't have started). Fandango policy is ironclad and heartless. I will not purchase through them again.

Received a two pack gift card for dinner and movie. Movie card used dinner card was deactivated. New number and pin was issued by email. All restaurant listed won't except it. Fandango refuses to help states that they don't give out dinner cards. . You can still purchase them today same 2 pack card. I would like to use $25 at one of these restaurants. Fandango continues to send me genetic messages if no help.

The policy to not refund tickets after the showtime starts is really bad. They are forcing customers to pay double, if they accidentally book at the wrong theater. If you think about it, trailers are 15 min plus. Somebody should be able to get a refund before the actual movie starts. Customer service is really rude too, no apologies or anything. They just keep repeating the same thing. Bad management, and asinine policies.

Having booked tickets weeks in advance using F--dango, we wasted a couple hours driving to/from a theater to find out they double-booked our seats. The theater manager KNEW the seat maps were not aligned and yet no one could bother to fix this problem weeks ago when booked? F--dango customer service is worse; since it's after the movie time, they can't refund, they can just escalate. A bunch of script reading tech support not empowered to solve anything. So that's $50 wasted, some "convenience" fee, gas, bridge toll and time wasted rehashing the same details to their "support" team. Nice business model. You had one job. FAIL.

Order tickets for a movie when we got there we realized they were for a movie in a different state. Yes my error. Customer service was horrible. Lady must be reading a cue card. Sorry movie already started we cannot refund you. Now with today's technology you would think they can tell if the qcode was scanned. Never use them again

Purchased 3 tickets for the Barbie movie for a 3:45 showtime. Showed up to the theater 10 mins early only to realize a confirmation email with the tickets was never sent, but my card was still sent. I went to the AMC customer service desk and they said Fandango never reserved the seats for us and that the pending charge would be dropped (It wasn't). By this point the movie was already 45 mins in! We had to repurchase tickets for a later show. Come two days later and the charge went through for the 3 tickets, so I called customer service, and what a joke. They were rude and said there is nothing they can do about the tickets since showtime is already past. Fandango sucks the $2 discount is not worth it.

I HATE Fandango!!!!! You guys are thieves!!! I will never, ever in life purchase another movie ticket from this company in my life.Fandango would not let me purchase movie tickets with my credit card. I tried twice. But I was able to purchase them from my debit card. But they charged my credit card twice for the movie tickets. They refuse to refund me for the full amount. They disrespectfully issued me half of the refund amount and are trying to make me prove to them that they charged me twice even though they can see the two charges on their end. Nobody at this place will answer the phone, and I'm now left at the mercy of waiting on a BS email from some BS department where I'll have to provide screenshots and proof of the charges. This was it. This was the last straw. I am done with y'all forever, and I hope this company collapse from all the money you all have stolen from all of these people. Fandango is a scam, big corporate gouging customers daily. Buy tickets in CA get tickets in Washington. No refund! Movie theater staff says this happens daily and that is just one theater. It's a know problem with the service but owned by big corporation so I one can make them fix there very defective website or maybe us purposeful so that they can scan people for money. By the multiple complaints it makes a person think the latter is true!

Having tons of issues trying to redeem my Applebee's recipe for a free Indiana Jones movie ticket. For a nationwide offer, this seems like a scam. If you are going to advertise on tv and other media, you should follow through with your offer.

I called Applebee's and they just passed me over to Fandango. I submitted my receipt 5 times and it keeps getting denied. Don't fall for this! They will not make good on their offer.

Be careful when you want to use Fandango to buy the ticket for movies, because if you cancel it your service fee will be lost!!! Not come back at all
So unlike to AmC, atom and etc
Really really bad experience
Never ever used it again
So please dont use it before they rob your money!!!!

I bought a $50 card, I didn't use it for a while, then they deactivated it. I have contacted customer service and after agreeing with me about the funds being available... It has been two months since my first request and no reply. All they say is: we have escalated your request to corporate...

My wife purchased 4 tickets on March 31 2023 for John Wick Chapter 4. The theater was closed that day due to inclement weather (tornado warnings) so we could not attend. When we requested a refund for the 4 tickets, we got a runaround that they could not refund the money unless WE contacted the theater and received confirmation from them that the theater was closed. We did that and sent that in to Fandango. Fandango STILL refuses to refund the money.

Fandango is bad business, I purchased tickets to watch a movie and didn't realize it was purchased at a different location I was at. I didn't realize they don't refund after showtime, it was on A Saturday, so called customer service on Monday and the two ladies I spoke with repeated about a policy that says they can do that. I argue I purchased more tickets right after I found out the error for next Saturday and that don't even matter, I feel there a RIP off? I explained I I purchase tickets in advance to get a good seat since they assign seats now but it's all bad we have to go through fandango as a middle person for that advantage, be aware there policy is questionable?? The BBB needs to investigate this company, when I called sounds like someone working from home not even in a office, from the start not legit who knows who were talking to the ladies ascent sounds from another country not even American....

During the NFL playoffs, we placed bets with your sports book employee. The employee Shaun was very obnoxious and very unprofessional in being a representative for the fandango casino. We currently have gone to another casino. It's a friendlier atmosphere, very polite and helpful. Our experience with Shawn has been a nightmare. we will not place bets at fandango as long as Shaun is representing the fandango casino. Note: he was very demeaning especially to women.

Fandango is AWFUL. We purchased 3 groups of 4-5 tickets for 3 different movie times as we had a large group so had to split our group among different movie times. Due to weather and wanting to all go together, we decided to cancel our tickets and get an exchange credit to use later. We cancelled the tickets well before the movie started, but the credit exchange request for our last ticket was denied. I must've tried 15-20-25 times...just kept hitting the exchange option and kept getting "error" messages so that I wasn't allowed to get the exchange credit. I finally ended up at the 5:15p movie time, and of course the cancellation "window" closed. I then tried to contact Fandango 3 ways...via chat, email and phone, all with no result at all after spending ridiculous amounts of time trying to get through to someone to no avail. I finally reached an agent via phone ... Edgar or Edvar. He was incredibly rude, refused to let me speak to a supervisor, and informed me the error message I received was "bc I had requested exchanges/refunds for multiple tickets." This is unacceptable...Fandango's policy says NOTHING about limitations on #s of refunds/exchanges. To be kicked out of the system and not allowed to request a refund/exchange within the permitted timeframe is unacceptable. If that is Fandango's policy then it needs to state same on its website and be transparent with customers. The agent also informed me Fandango corporate "would deny my refund/credit request"..."because there are tons of people that call in for refunds in this same circumstance." I recorded my conversation with the agent...including his statement that Fandango is not following its stated return/exchange policy for customers and is instead kicking out valid refund/exchange requests when "too many" such requests are made. That's tantamount to fraud, misrepresentation and oppressive and unconscionable business practices. Needless to say, I've been denied a credit. Do NOT do business with Fandango. TERRIBLE!

I agreee. Fandago has become a corrupted company that steals your money and has no human decency for any human errors. This wasn't the case prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. Now if you mistaken placing a date or if you have a family emergency they wouldn't even exchange for even fandango credits that isn't even actual money spent!!! It's service and money they still keep!!!! Now as of today I have made a mistake ordering tickets to see a movie today instead of tomorrow which is THANKSGIVING DAY! I have contacted support ( of course they can't help but says they wil escalate ) and I already knew these crooks will steal my money. Even when I've already bought the tickets for the correct date and have proof and confirmation of this so that they don't see that I'm a crook or nothing, they still email me saying they can't do anything. Again this is the 3rd time they have done this and have no remorse. F this company. I'm one purchase away to just buy at the kiosk day of forget this!!! Sad af.

Bunch of crooks. They took my money for tickets online. Then said the order did not go through but the money has come out of my bank account!! I am unable to get a refund and unable to get my tickets. Their site is extremely difficult to navigate and they ask for codes or passwords they have not given me yet! I have been scammed.

I ordered my tickets and I thought it was for Stone Mountain NCR, however, come to find out it was for Macon NCR. I called Fandango and explained my problem and the guy was understanding, but, he said he couldn't issue a refund because it was after the start of the movie. I told him I wanted to speak to a manager. He said that the manager would call me back. I'm still waiting!!! I WILL NEVER ORDER TICKETS THROUGH FANDANGO AGAIN!!!!!! This was a total crock!!!!

Horrible just horrible never going to use fandango again. I went to watch my movie and their website said that was an issue on THEIR end. After trying multiple time to load my tickets I wasn't able to. I wasn't even given a refund because it was past show time but I wasn't even my fault. When I tried to contact them they kept saying the same thing "we can't issue refund after show time". When I was their fault I wasn't able to watch my movie.

Hello, just a comment on the last Applebees/Top Gun tickets deal. We ate at Applebees and spent enough money to get two Top Gun tickets. We tried numerous times to go through the online site to redeem the tickets and emailed customer service twice but nothing worked. It was a bad experience.

If the app freezes on you I'm sorry they are unable to give you any kind of refund or exchange. So just let you know you will not be getting your money back even thought it was there app I was struggling. Sorry you also didn't receive a confirmation number sorry they won't do anything to give your money back.

Listen, I ordered a ticket to the new Spider-Man movie a week in advance. The only problem is that I accidentally ordered it in the wrong state, so I immediately tried to get a refund. I ordered that way back in December 2021 and it is now 5 months later in May that they finally responded. They took 5 months to tell me that I couldn't get a refund. I live in Mississippi, but the theater option was automatically set to New York, so I definitely feel that a refund was necessary.

This is the WORST service I have ever dealt with! Incompetent, unprofessional, incredibly rude, and unhelpful. What a pathetic company, you shouldn't be allowed to do business AT ALL!

You wasted my gift card, refused to offer any REAL help, wasted the money I spent buying on your website, refused me ANY FORM of a refund. I lost my gift card, the movie my wife and I wanted to go see, and you REFUSE to accept ANY RESPONSIBILITY!!!

Fandango needs to be held accountable for their utterly useless employees and management. The customers should take any and all steps against this corrupt company. You're robbing people of their money, fail to help your customers, and take any form of accountability!
