  • My GoPhone broke and now i can't get anyone to talk to about repairing it, I've tried talking to a home phone agent but they keep sending me back to that automated voice that doesn't say anything about repair for GoPhones. I'm sick and tired of calling so I might have to go down to a store and have them fix it.

  • I just got robbed!! For some reason they said I used 1948 untis(kb/mb?) of data on a call last 4+hrs. The phone was not used during the time they say the "call" was started, i still had 35mb left before my renewal which was next week. No my data is going and my account money!!!!

  • I bought a go phone and on the package it was written that I'd get $10 airtime included. I activated the phone and the airtime was not added (despite claims that free airtime would be added automatically).

I called customer service and got no help. I was asked repeatedly if I was sure what the package said. I'm not an idiot, I can read. I was told to go back to the store for confirmation,???(so I could have someone else read the package and make sure that I wasn't an idiot or a liar).

I asked if I could give the sku number or bar code or anything else that would help them look up what the package looks like and what it says. "No, go back to the store right now and blah blah blah..."

I think I'm going to go with a different company. I hate that some parts of this world are run by fools I wouldn't trust to pick up my dog's crap. But I guess that's life! ^__^

  • For those of you who are losing minutes on your GoPhones even when you are not using them, I can tell you that it's because you have email or IM or another service set up that is accessing your phone while you are away. It happened to me as well, but if you disable all of the email and IM services, your phone will stop losing minutes. The problem that I am having with GoPhone is that it only works in major metropolitan areas, and I travel a great deal to rural areas. Last month I was on a trip, and for over 400 miles my phone did not allow me to make a call in all that time, even though my wife who has Tracfone could make calls the entire time. I had 2-4 bars reception the entire time, but when I tried to make a call, my screen said "Emergency Calls Only." Very disappointing.

  • Don't buy an AT&T GO PHONE. Customer service reps via telephone do nothing but tell you they can't do anything, AND the prepaid cellphone support is horrendous. It's ALL computers with no option of talking to or emailing a human being. I wanted to get a phone reactivated after it had been unused for some time. To make a long story short, they wouldn't activate or give me a new phone number unless I bought another SIM card. (I know people who've changed their number and it doesn't require buying a new SIM card) Plus, I lost the money spent on a GO PHONE refill card for this phone because they wouldn't refund it. Instead, whoever has my old phone number now has my refill card added to their account balance. I'm so glad to switch all my family's phones to another company.

  • I am thorough disgusted with my GoPhone plan,it does NOT save money, it is expensive. I did not want to use it anymore and when I dialed 611 got an operator that told me I could NOT get my $33+ refunded that I would HAVE to add money and use the new amount and the old amount of money up within the time limit. I asked for her supervisor and I have never had such a rude, unprofessional person to deal with. I did not get one word out of my mouth and she started speaking over me. I finally got her to stop talking and asked for a refund, she said "Good luck with that". I asked her for an address to write to and she gave me the address so fast I couldn't get it all. I am going to complain to the FCC, Channel 7, and CLark Howard. I am really sick of these anti-consumer companies that are devious, rude, and God know where!!! I am also writing to AT&T and reconsidering my AT&T land line. I've sick of it!!! Thank you letting me get this off my chest!!!

  • I too am having the exact same problem call custumer service they say can't help because it is a go phone and to just buy another sim card

  • It took me 3 months for AT&T to change the billing on my GoPhone account from one credit card to another.

When I added text messaging to my GoPhone 2 weeks ago, they said it would be effective at the beginning of the next billing cycle (which was yesterday); it wasn't activated.

This is the worst customer service I have ever been involved with.

  • I bought a $60 unlimited gophone card to last me the month. I put it in my phone the same way i do every month. This means i get umlimited talk and text for 30 days. I got a confirmation message saying that it was added to my account and the card expired 6/8/10. Well i go to make a call, when i hang up it takes $1.00 from my account. How i must ask is this possible? Then i forgot my pin number so now my phones locked and i do not have a PUK code, so there goes $59 down the drain. I can not afford another one and this is the only source of communication besides the computer. I need help ASAP.

  • my daughter got an at&t go phone from her dad for her birthday and it had $46 on it. from jan 31- march 4 we added another $30 for talk time and 2 times we put that 200 messages for $4.99 on it. She got a message saying she had $.68 and then a message from where someone went online and used her number for a game that was $19.99 We in turn spent 3 hours on the phone with the company about her being screwed out of over $40 and 200 messages and they can't do anything about it. 1 lady said there was 3 daily $1 charges in one day and when i repeated it I was wrong and THIS person also tried tellin me I didnt know how much MY kid texts. I am NOT happy with this company at all.

  • AT&T sucks!! Their customer service is TERRIBLE

  • I purchased a Go phone at Radio Shack in September of 08 and along with it a purchased over a $100.00 worth of time. The phone never worked properly and, if I left the city (Houston) I could not get a dial tone or make calls. In early spring the phone stopped working entirely so I went to Radio Shack and they replaced the phone. Meanwhile, even though I hardly ever made a call, my call balance kept going down. I called Go Phone only to discover that my time had expired and I was forced to renew my time in order to continue using the phone. (I was leaving town and needed it.) Then the phone stopped working again and when I took it back to Radio Shack they would not replace it this time. I just spoke with a Go Phone representative and his response was that electrical instruments wear out and when they wear out it is the owner's responsibility to replace them. So basically I have spent about $180.00 for less than 10 phone calls, a new now useless battery and two worthless phones. Go Phone, and by extension AT&T is a big rip off with virtually no concern for their customers!

  • There is no email link anywhere for go phone customers. This is outright irresponsible on their part.

  • I am extremely unhappy with my service. The very first payment was taken out of my account. After it was taken out, I recieved a text that the payment failed. This has been a huge inconvenience to me. I have spent at least an hour maybe 2 on the phone WITH AUTOMATED service trying to get directed to the proper person. After being connected to a live person i was hung up on 3 times before I even said on word. I work in customer service and if this is how you run your business, I assure you it will not last very long.

  • I cannot get a live person on the phone no matter what I try. I just added a $25 prepaid GoPhone card to my account yesterday after having almost a zero balance for over two weeks. Today, I only have $13.00 left. There is a charge on my account for ringtones, games, etc for 9.99 that I did not charge. No one has access to this phone but me.

How can I prevent these types of charges?

  • I have the GoPhone "Pay-as-you-go" plan which is the best cell phone deal I have ever been on. You get free minutes and text 24/7 for a $60 flat fee each month and they offer auto-draft. My signal is PERFECT. I have never had a dropped call and no static and mind you, I have a refurbished $15 bottom of the line Nokia 2320. I love this cheap little phone. The Customer Service Reps go out of their way to be pleasant and helpful. However be forewarned: I bought two different starter kits at Walmart. I first bought the one with a 2320 Nokia. The phone was in bad shape and I strongly believe that it was a used phone. The battery was bad and it glitched up a lot plus the exterior was scratched up. I returned it and got a Samsung flip phone starter kit instead and had the same problem. The phone REALLY sucked!!!!! I ended up buying a reburbished Nokia 2320 and it looks and acts new and works great.
I will stay with this plan. NO contract either!! You can cancel any time you want to without getting charged.

  • I have been using my Go-Phone for a year now and the only problem I've had has been with house chargers. I am on charger #4 and so far so good. I keep up with my expiration dates but I mainly use my phone for texting. I've never had a rude Customer Service Rep and my number is a James Bond specialty...WTG Go-Phone!

  • Added $25 refill to go phone account using online access. Phone would not work, displays "Smartchip Registration Failed". Contacted ATT by 611 on other ATT cell phone. Account was closed although it took the $25. Was told since I had not used phone recently, phone number given to someone else and I had to buy a new SIMM card for my phone at a cost of $25. Jill of ATT processed me a new SIMM card for the $25, and now I'm required to go to nearest ATT store for new SIMM card installation and must add another $25 for service. It was a unadvertised process and a $25 lesson learned from a really nice person.

I just had a very pleasant and satisfactory discussion with one of your customer service representatives named SOPHIA. She is undoubtedly the most pleasant and helpful person I have encountered in a very long time. I am 87 years old and I have much difficulty understanding words. She was extremely patient and so very helpful. I hope this message is received by someone who might recognize this young ladies inate ability to perform excellent customer service. • I had problems with my account on my gophone and I spoke with a very nice young woman by the name of Raine. I just want you to know that she was so very helpful and so plesant to speak with. She went above and beyond to resolve my problem. I only wish I had her last name so she could be recognized as well she should be.
