I received a new Holmes Bionaire model BCM730BCN in December of 2020, which was a replacement for the same model that failed (water container cap broke) before the one-year warranty was up. About 11 months later that unit also failed. The water container developed spider cracks all through it and the water all leaked out and caused water damage. I contacted Holmes Customer Service again asking for advice, and was told to return the unit by courier for inspection. I did that and the tracking number shows it was received by the company three weeks ago. I have since sent three emails asking what is happening but have not received any response. I have now purchased another brand as I got tired of breathing in very dry air from a furnace keeping my home warm in -30C whether. Needless to say, I'm done with Holes-n products.
