I bought a jitterbug 2 with 5 star. Did not like it from the beginning. Quite often I would accidentally hit 5 Star and would need to call and cancel. Finally called to see if there was a way to shut off 5 Star. Talked me into the Jitterbug 3 never saying she could shut off 5 Star on me Jitterbug 2. Few days later I see that 5 Star isn't working and call to find out what the deal was. I get the Jitterbug 3 in the mail and have decided I will end it back. Jitterbug 2 is fine. I return it and I find out it is going to cost me $14 to send the phone back to Illinois and the is a re-stalking fee of $10. Total of $25. You are not a company for the elderly you are like everyone else. I am 74 years old next month and that $25 means a lot to me. Medication and food. You should be ashamed. I will tell everyone I know about what you have done.

Phone is great and the representatives have been great however my mother was not able to get any service for 1 week we both have made calls each time she would call 2 to 3 times a day the phone with Work maybe 20 minutes at a time. During the time she did not have any service at all!!! she had fallen and did not have a reliable phone. this is unacceptable for anyone! When I made another phone call on July 14, 2023 I requested to speak to the complaint department or the media department or CEO rep did not seem to have that information and or chose not to help me with my issues. On every call my mother made or I made the representative did not seem to know what was wrong with the phone and did not read previous notes in the system on her account once again unacceptable. Would've really liked to of spoken to someone to see what we could do to resolve this issue however.

From Helga Stafford.i have been charged for four months of Jitterbug though I have not had any services. I was sent a phone that had no written instruction. I went to Best Buy for help as directed by a Jitter Bug employee. I never activated the phone yet got charged high fees from my bank credit card when I did not sign up for direct payment. I am charged for personal emergency services even though I did not fill out the form. I was told that my precious photos would be taken care of but a Jitter Bug employee said I will need to do it or my photos will disappear. I have memory problems and physical disabilities. I will be using special care and I need to have all my money back and will be happy to return the phone that I have not used at all. I feel scammed and will contact AARP, the McHenry County Senior Center in IL and contact our State Legal Assistance program. It is 1:30 am and I cannot sleep, feel sick to my stomach. I am worried about th funds that Jitter Bug is taking. Stop NOW. Your company needs to be overhauled. My zip code is 60156.I DO NOT HAVE A COMPUTER OR AN EMAIL ADDRESS.TEXT ME VIA MY PHONE NUMBER, MANAGED BY T-MOBILE.

We have purchased 3 phones for elderly and / or disabled people. We created online accounts and passwords. On the latest Jitterbug, we tried to transfer an existing phone number. It has been a nightmare with hours and hours of wasted time. We finally had to get the elderly challenged person we bought the phone for to repeat each letter of the password and passphrase we created as we read it. YOU ARE IN NO WAY SENIOR FRIENDLY. We signed up to take a survey but were disconnected instead. I hope you get competition and go out if business. NO MORE JITTERBUG PHONES FOR US ! ! !

Very disappointed in the smart phone. Had 3 days and returned. Customer service is lacking for sure. They are only interested in getting you off the phone instead of answering your questions.

My 83 year old mother, who has been a customer for years, and has NEVER EVER missed a payment has had her service disrupted because according to Shitterbug she missed a payment. My mother is old school, she pays with money orders. She has her receipts, the date she mailed the payment, and the amount! However, the nasty representative that she spoke to would not take anything into consideration and shut her service off!
I am in the process of adding my mother to my cell phone plan.
For a company to do this to a long time customer who never missed a payment for years is outrageous! This phone is my mothers only way to communicate! Shame on Shitterbug!

My mom lost service on 1/2/23
She has one of jitterbugs smart phone too
That also quit working
When we got thru to customer service and I told rep that Lively let her down
Rep said, " we didn't let her down" very combative tone of voice
I requested my acct number and pin so we could transfer service to Verizon. She gave me the wrong pin and Verizon has not been able to transfer the acct. 24 hours after request we give up
We will get a new number from Verizon cancel service with Lively and make sure my bank stops auto pay. If there is a class action suit

Great Call / Lively Jitterbug Flip Phone going on DAY 4 with system-wide no service status. No resolution in site. My 95 year old mother has NO OTHER WAY to remain in contact with family or EMERGENCY Service.

My mom is blind so she does not need or want the ability to send or receive texts or pictures. She needs a phone that will come on when she opens it and will call when she requests a person on her list like in my car. She does not want to invest in Alexa to do this. She can figure out how to charge it, or I can help her with that, So I am suggesting a phone that comes on when she opens it, disconnects when she closes it and responds by calling someone who she requests that is in her phone book without Alexa. Nothing else.

You need to tell people that jitterbugs do not work in the country that they are wasting their money buying it because it does not have signal in the country you need to check on that before you sell your phones to people in the country specially Verizon Verizon don't work in the country we wasted money that we didn't have to spend per our mother to have the security call but it didn't work either

I am 68, I have NEVER in alll my life ever had as many problems with a cell phone as I have had with this Jitterbug....OMG....the problems are NEVER ENDING....did I listen to alllll the OTHER complaints about how bad JITTERBUG is...NO, its because I am stupid...I actually thought all those other complaints were just people wanting to complain about something....found out, again, I was wrong......NEVER, EVER again! I have never been so happy to get rid of something like that little piece of irritating garbage in my life...

My elderly ill father purchased a jitterbug phone less than a year ago. Phone broke so he went to Verizon and purchased new phone on Monday. Verizon requested Jitterbug release his phone number. Jitterbug claims it will take up to THREE Days to release the number. On day THREE my sister called Jitterbug and was told it should be released soon. Day FOUR I called. Mark told me I had to contact Verizon and have them connect the phone to his number and they would close his account. Verizon checked and his zip code had been entered incorrectly (their fault) and they resubmitted request to Jitterbug. Called Jitterbug back told me I had to give it time, could not look at account and could not expedite the request. Horrible customer service. If info was incorrect why were we not told Wednesday or the first time I called on Thursday. Horrible customer service. Run from this company!!!!!!I'm sure Dad will have to change phone number which is huge due to all Medical papers need to be changed.

My mom just got her new jitterbug flip-phone and I'm trying to figure out online or in fact anyway how to (if any) block unwanted numbers she keeps receiving.

I find it interesting that you "offer" 24/7 service that apparently is not in effect . All I know is my 91 year old Mother , who lives 7 hours away from me, cannot reach your customer service department , nor can I . I will be calling 1st thing in the morning . And we thought your phone service would be a good option. NOT !

Regarding the Smart PHone I am trying to order, I had inquired prior to post Father's day. At the time, the price was $112.99 with no activationfee since I am a long time customer. I don't remember exactly when I called but it was when I first saw the ad for $112.99

Today, 7/8/2016, the price went up to $129 on my first call with no activation fee. I told your representative "Okay" except my cell phone cut the conversation off. I waited for a return call but never received it.

I called back in about 20 minutes and was told by Megan that it was $149 and tomorrow they would give me a refund of $25. I told her that I had saved money to cover $112.99 and it was pushing it to cover the $129.

I asked to talk to the supervisor and Megan information me that she had just talked to a supervisor. She did not allow me to the supervisor. Megan was rude and I told her the deal she offered me was unacceptable.

I am upset and angry. What good is it doing me to be a good, loyal customer?

I bought a Jitterbug Touch 2 for my 80 year old mother. Our experience both with the phone and with the technical customer service has been mediocre at best. If we could do it over again, we would just buy a "normal" smartphone from Verizon, our family provider.

Why?

An OVERLY-simplified smart phone ends up being a DUMB phone. It is not intuitive or easy to use. We wish we had just bought her an iPhone.

Moreover, customer service, while friendly, has been incompetent. Today I got passed to 3 different reps, having to give my account info EACH time again, and they couldn't even answer a simple question (that should have been answered in the User Guide or in the online FAQ's): "What does a flashing blue light on the phone indicate?"

Definitely regret going with this phone and with Great Call.

Phone will not ring when messages come in. When I call from my iPhone to my husband's jitterbug phone, it goes straight to voicemail. It only once.

My father has only had his phone a few days. He has macular degeneration and can't see very well. We have called customer service about several things in the last few days and their responses have always been excellent, polite, comprehensive and very helpful. He's so excited about this phone because he couldn't see the buttons to dial out on his other cell phone. With Jitterbug, he can dial himself, use voice dial, or use the Jitterbug operator to dial. We are thrilled with it so far! And we ADORE customer service!
