I'm wondering what happened to items given with purchase of john deere mowers. I'm a commercial mower and run nine 930m and a 920 and960 zero turns. I used to get coolers or a tool box or something with purchase of these mowers. now we have no offers like that. sure they offer 0 interest or couple hundred off. I can get that with about any major brand. we are getting ready to update two or three mowers again this year what is the incentive to continue with john deere as I have for 20 years now?

I have a 1025R with a 60" belly mower the I bolts broke that adjust the deck I ordered three weeks ago from the Middletown store in Washington PA it was bad service they ordered the wrong part first off and very slow service they said they will call when the part comes in but never call and the price for a I bolt being $20 is just crazy expensive it's a bolt should not be even $10 I have always been with John Deere and my family farm also not sure if I will continue

My 2012 JD 1023E with ~800 hrs has been garaged >98% of the time.

at ~70 hrs white metal top link broke; cost to replace ~$150, ~$35 at Tractor Supply. ~20 hrs later white metal clip holder for top link broke as well. Didn't bother checking replacement price

at ~250 hours gear box for mid mount mower blew. replacement cost ~$350

at 375 hrs rear drag arm (which lifts mid mount mower) broke. Original part, inadequate in design, would have cost ~$40, but the JD engineering interns, realizing their error (one of many) developed a "new, improved" replacement costing > $450. Front drag linkage also started separating from mower deck, needing re-welding

at 440 hours ignition switch needed replacement (I also have a >80 yo Ford 9N with OEM ignition)! The 1023E has been sheltered as above. Ford 9N not so much

At 800 hrs,, front axle sprung a "leak", allegedly due to bad wheel bearing and seal. I was told the wheel bearing failed due to heavy loads in front end loader. The FEL maxes out at ~ 500# load; it's impossible to believe there is not a wheel bearing somewhere out there that can't handle a 500# load! (JD claims this is a tractor, I think it is a cost-cutting prototype. the Ford 9n still has OEM wheel bearings)
Also at 800 hours the replacement gear box for the midmount mower deveoped a leaking seal requiring replacement

If you need a tractor, get an orange one.

The JD marketing lizards and engineering interns have ruined this brand

Bought a John Deere riding mower about 2 years ago and have had multiple problems with the belt slipping. It was even changed to a new one and still the same problem. To make matters worse it is difficult to change. I had a Cub Cadet for 14 years and never had this many problems. Plus it was easier to put on the belt with the Cub Cadet. Had I known, I would not have bought the John Deere. If I could trade it in for a Cub Cadet, I would do it in a heartbeat.

My daughter has had nothing but problems with her lawnmower, was a house warming gift from her Uncle. Never again!

It's very sad that you spend thousand of dollars on a John deer riding mower use it for 46 hours just 46 for a oil gasket to fail and let your oil leak out and blow the motor if you are gonna spend top of the line money you expect top of the line product very disgusted at this situation

Trying to find parts for a John Deere tractor isa very exhausting affair. Their parts websites are beyond bad , they are confusing, poorly illustrated and designed to push you toward a dealer rather than diy.

I bought a John deere XUV 835E Gator. It has 47 hours on it and I washed the engine with a hose and after that it would not start. I took it to AG-Pro where I bought it and the said the ECU and ignition coils were full of water.

These a supposed to be sealed units. They said on page 99 of the user manuel it states, do not get the engine wet....WTF? What good is this machine if you can't wash the engine?

I asked the repair shop to save the parts. When I went to pay for the repairs I saw them digging through the garbage can to get someone elses parts. My Gator was clean and the ECU was dirty and worn which made me believe it came off someone elses machine.

The AG-Pro nmanager was rude and very nasty when I tried to ask for the John Deere District phone number...I never did get any contact number for John Deere.

It cost $2,2003.18 to get my Gator repaired.

I will never buy another John Deere product. I have never heard that the engine could not be washed! The manuel also stated not to wash the CV boots and a list of other items on the Gator.

John Deere will lose a lot of customers as soon as they try to force farmers to go electric how can a farmer run his combine or his tractor 24 hours a day during peak harvest they're trying to say the government is forcing them to force it on the American people John Deere is only letting the government force them they do not have to repeat they do not have to John Deere is very woke for me I will never own another John Deere equipment they are not for the farmer they are for the socialist Communist left when it comes to Farmers and their field they do not care let's put them out of business

Never buy another one. Dumping the one l have this fall. Less than 70 hours on it and it won't move. Put two deck belts and drive belt on it already. Have to push it up tiny hills. I'm 68 years old don't need this.

We bought a new 35G excavator less 100 hours and have hose issues and washer pump and agpro what to charge travel time and service call to fix it while under warranty if u dont pay their cost and they send u parts to repair your self the part will not be covered under warrant u have to eay cost if breaks again beware of john deer I wouldn't have paid 70,000 for new equipment and still have to spend money out of pocket on something new not worth the hassle to buy these units

Posted by JD is lousy.

Bought a S100 riding mower worked great for 20 minutes, customer service told me it is my responsibility to take it to get fixed or else have Lowes fix it. Never again. It is just sitting in my front lawn dead. F... JOHN DEERE AND THEIR EMPLOYEES.

STAY AWAY! We had great service when we went there to purchase our tractor with nine attachments and a farm boss chainsaw. The chainsaw never worked from the start and it had a broken trigger. I took it in to get repaired via the warranty. It took them over a month to repair the chainsaw, and that was only because I called to inquire why it took so long; they told me it would be a couple days. When I picked it up there was nothing said to me. A few weeks later we were called for the bill of the never working, broken trigger. We were able to clear that one up with no issues. Then we set up the warranty work of our tractor which we were told that it was part of the contract. However, that was not the case. You get a 10 year warranty, but in order to have that warranty valid you have to get an annual inspection done to the tune of $301 plus. During this inspection, the mechanic found an item that was needing to be fixed that was a warranty item. Instead of fixing it on the spot we were told it needed to be scheduled at a later date. We called to scheduled the warranty work, and I later received a call to actually set it up. The lady wanted a credit card to do the work, but when I mentioned that it was warranty work she put me on hold and came back with the fact that it was indeed under warranty and did not need a credit card because it was covered. The repairman came out and did the repair and left without anything being said about any bill. Fast forward seven weeks later and we get a call that we owe money because of the warranty work. When asked why, the guy came up with the fact that the labor and parts were covered and it was a trip charge. However, he totally skipped past the fact that the service person did not perform the repair when he found the discrepancy. We received the itemized bill showing that the labor was in fact not covered so we are paying for trip and service. When we received the annual maintenance, there was no charge for "trip fees." I am totally disenchanted with James River Equipment, and will no longer consider purchasing anything further from them as was in the works. Their service department is unacceptable! We bought over $26k of equipment, and was considering over $20k on additional equipment. However, the excellent experience of the sales person will not make up for further horrific treatment from their service department.

Had my john deere mower a little over 30 days, started having issues with the mower, i was instructed to call john deere, spoke with Dandra, she was rude and not helpful. She went on to tell me the repair may not be covered only quality and product defects, ive had it 30 days obviously its quality. There is a 2 year warranty bumper to bumper and the lowes warranty, they r already trying to get out of the repair. She gave me a local repair and they have been closed for years. I should have gotten a craftsman, they will replace in a heartbeat.

Central jersey tractor absolutely terrible worst service department I've ever experienced in my 45 years of farming owners are cocky and very arrogant I told my son do not spend one dime there although he does like Dennis at parts department he is fantastic other than that I would not buy a tractor from them if they were to sell it for one dollar !!!

Not happy with John Deere anymore! Bought JD 990
years ago and it has been a great tractor. However, I need to add a front end loader. When I contacted the dealer, I was informed that they no longer support the 990 any longer and that they can no longer supply me with front end loader for my tractor. That's what they think of their customers. Wish I would have went with the Kubota. If you are thinking of buying John Deere. DON'T

John Deere might be doing a good job with new technology, but they are not testing it out properly and I think they got the worst engineers out their, there is no reason why customers should pay for half witted engineered products, example, their engine fan drives ( it shows cause dealers stock multiply of them) that customers have to replace on there own expense after 3 years or 1500 hours, that's hiway robbery!

We bought a john tractor from Papa in Ponderay, Idaho approximately 11/2 years ago. It was not put in the shop & went through to make sure everything was working properly on it. If they would have under a load they would have found the injector pump was weak & there was no fluid in the hine tires. The salesman put in the paperwork that it just needed the loader pur on it which they bought from someone that had a tractor there for sale sold the loader to us. When it was delivered we had to put over 600.00 work of fluid in the hine tires & now the injector pump is gone. It will start & barely run, not well enough to even load on a trailer & John Deere WILL NOT stand behind their screw up & fix the tractor. I talked to 6 different employees at John Deere about this & gave them the name of the salesman. We will NEVER buy anything from John Deere again. I've had numerous people tell me the same thing about trading with John Deere. This is the poorest customer service I have ever seen or experienced.

John Deere Montrose Colorado sent a sales rep out to our farm to show a tractor. He brought a couple out to see it. The problem is we received no phone call or communication that they were coming out to our farm. It is posted no trespassing and he mocked me for bringing it up. The arrogance and lack of following laws.. nevermind dismall customer service is appalling! Being a senior we expect better from John Deere

The John Deere customer service line 800-537-8233 is completely useless. The talking head who answers the phone then records your contact information is unable to provide any help whatsoever. Not even sure why they bother answering because the solution is always..."talk to your local dealer". They cannot expedite, escalate or even provide a phone number within the John Deere organization to help. Products are great, service is embarrassing. Shame on you John Deere!

Do not use The John Deere location in Jasoer, Ga! Terrible customer service! Had my zero turn mower for 6 weeks and charged me 374.00 for replacing a belt and regular service!! Would not recommend!! Stay away!!

Posted by Wes

I purchased a 54 zero turn was told they report to credit Bureau only reason I finance the machine was to build credit only to find out later on that yes they report negative credit hard inquiries and non-payment they do not report your payments that you make On timeThen I received a paper in the mail on my warranty being up and they get a free warranty check again only to find out after I asked about the free warranty check and drop the machine off when I come to pick up the machine they tell me there's no such thing as a warranty check so I called corporate corporate says yeah they send out papers but you have to have this newspaper size flyer that they send you in order to get the free warranty check east told them I've been a customer for a long time this is unacceptable they should've told me this before I dropped off the machine instead of trying to hold my machine hostage for $50 they should've easily cleared this matter up but instead I will no longer be a customer over $50And the disrespect and the way I was dealt with it as a paying customer of a $10,000 machineI talk to Byron S only name he would give me a corporate he told me good luck he would not help me whatsoever he was the boss there was nobodyAbove him that he would let me talk to

I would like to give Tyrease Carter a salesman review. This gentleman works from the Savanah N.Y. store. This young man had many obstacles placed in front of him during the time of my sale. He was trying to take care of other customers and myself with computers being down. His initiative to take care of all of us was beyond and above the calling of customer service. Some way he was able to satisfy all of us and keep all of us happy. This was a lengthy process for him to multitasking and get done. I admit that, he is deserving of a raise, for his customer service skills. John deere can't get better than humans his intelligence. Please consider what he has done for all of us. Thank you for your time.

Hello all,
I have a 2012 X300 with a 42 in mower deck. Have a few attachments and they all work great. First I've gotta say the X300 is a great machine. Haven't had trouble with it so far other that the standard maintenance of blades and battery. My only complaint is the mower deck. Starting with a whine and grinding noise. I figured it was the blade spindle. So, I changed out the left spindle which was very easy with no down time for the tractor other than getting the part.
Here's where it gets good. I'm bored and take apart the bad spindle just for fun. What I found was like, "John Deere". WTH!!!
The spindle shaft had a grease fitting and I greased it more than required by the manual. What I found was the upper and lower bearings were sealed! There's no way grease can get to the bearing.
Either your engineers or assembly team weren't thinking!

Everyone that has a John Deere X300 keep you eyes and ears open for this failure. It's bound to happen.

Overall John Deer is amazing. However, over the last few years one thing has not improved. The buddy seat. Farmers are working long hours, in which may get lonely. Sometimes its nice to have company, however the buddy seats are straight up and down and hard as a rock. This is very inconvenient for both the driver and the passenger. Their are many benefits of having a passenger in the tractor with you such as company for when the drivers lonely, being delivered food during the long days and a passenger may even help keep the driver awake during long nights. The drivers comfort is important, but so is the passenger. If buddy seats are going to be included they need to be comfortable.

I want to take this time to commend and thank the great folks at Chad's Little Brunswick Maine. I had a hydraulic leak with my x310. They picked up and turned it around in 2 days. Bruce,Nate,John,Ben all contributed to a very professional and great experience. They are unquestionably the very best!!
