We bought a $1000 Kenmore Fridge 5 years ago, solely because Kenmore was made by Whirlpool, (with the exception of some low end product lines.) If I had ANY idea that Sears had begun farming out their product manufacturing to LG, I would have AVOIDED IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I worked in retail for 28 years and sold appliances. I saw how LG operated from the inside, and I must tell you -- I have never seen such low-crawling dirty tricks from any manufacturer in all my years. Not even close. I'm not exaggerating. The things I saw were nothing less than evil.

Compressors typically had 10 years warranty. This one has ONE year. No wonder. If I made that kind of crap, I wouldn't wanna cover it either. Obvoisly, I am angry and thoroughly disgusted, knowing that I've been had.

Our Sears salesperson apparently didn't know about the LG change either,when she acknowledged my assumption that Kenmore mid-line on up was still made by Whirlpool.
I believe she was honest and that no one informed her. But upper mngt knew, and they were seriously cutting corners for the sake of the bottom line. If consumerism in America has gone to H-ll, then Sears has certainly spearheaded this trend, along with their partner in crime - LG. Now, we're out a $1000 fridge, and I haven't found any class action lawsuit thus far that is current and/or applicable. If anyone knows of one, PLEASE TELL ME.

quick update on my dream $2000 fridge. I managed to talk to a person! They told me, aftercwaitingbten weeks that they would send me $115 dollars to buy some sort of small fridge..... I kid you not?And said maybe I could track down my own part. this is with a top performance warranty.?Then my appoint was rescheduled for a month from now.... Cus by now the fridge sounds like a jet plane.

I bought a 2,000$ refrigerator + an extended warranty. Within the year it broke.After waiting a month a technician showed. ( broke a part moving it) ordered two new parts, the original thing that was broke and the new part..... That was ten weeks ago and i have been unable to talk to a human since. The 1 800 num is a joke. In the 10 weeks since this started the refrigerator has gone from being a nice quiet $2,000 dream to sounding like a jet taking off. I have a video of it..... Its loud. The sears store i bought it from says they can do nothing..... And gave me.... You got it the 1 800 number. i'm ready to put the video on line of my new $2,000 refrigerator?

I purchased a freezer not even 30 days ago and already needing service. The customer service is the absolute biggest joke. 7 days before they can even schedule someone. WOW. DO NOT BUY KENMORE

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I received a damaged fridge right out of the box. After numerous calls to customers service they still refuses to assist. It's been 3 months since my original contact with the company and nothing has been done.

The kenmore fridge worked for 2.5 months and never worked properly again. We waited another 5 months for the correct part and a total of 6 visits from the repairman and the warrantee has expired and it still doesn't work. I have been ghosted by Kenmore and we're sick of throwing food away and defrosting the freezer by hand. All of the control parts were replaced and the computer as well. I would like a refund from Kenmore.

I bought a Kenmore side by side in 2018 and had 10 calls for service and repairs before the first year. They brought me a new one on 6-5-19. Still the same issue with the ice maker, it doesn't make ice. They made it clear when this one was delivered that they were done with me. I will NEVER purchase another Kenmore product. Lousy fridge, terrible customer service.

Have a 111.730 model side by side bottom freezer. Just out of warranty the evap fan that cools the refrigerator quit. Sears repairman comes out and says there is a code for the ice maker and it needs replaced.......crap tech....dog crap refer and now no flipping parts for the last 3 months. Used to have a quality name and product. ALL GARBAGE NOW

When I asked how to fix a problem with my cordless vac which I bought not 3 months ago I was told I could pay $5 to talk to a technician. The website doesn't allow a person to respond to that. I can see why so many negative comments. If I can't fix it myself I will buy a new one, not kenmore

My parents bought a new kenmore refrigerator from a sears location with a 5 year warranty on tre fridge. And within 6 month the freezer was not making ice. it has been over a year and hundreds of calls to the warrante dept and my parents are still getting the run around and keep getting delayed on there new refrigeraqtor. i would never ever buy kenmore products and will be posting this on my twitter account as well. Sears as well as kenmore and there warranty just ripped off 2 elderly people near there 80's.

The compressor died in my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator--Model 795.74043.411--in 6 years. I paid $1400 for it in 2015 and it failed in June 2021.

The Sears Home tech charged $187.00 for the visit. The new compressor would cost $700 and labor would be $1000. The warranty is for 1 year. I did a chat with Sears Kenmore but was repeatedly told that it is out of warranty and they will not pay for the repair.

We have had multiple problems with out Kenmore Elite model 795.74025.411. We have had this refrigerator for 5 years. Now it has quit working. The ice maker on this refrigerator has been a continual problem. We are trying now to find someone to work on . Will not buy another Kenmore.

My Kenmore Top-Loading High Efficiency Washer stopped working less than 16 weeks after purchase. The gear case stopped working. The gear case was back ordered. When the gear case arrived, I tried to schedule the repair. When I mentioned that it was under warranty, I was told their system was down for repairs and the repair could not be scheduled. This continued for several weeks. When I called and told them I had the part and did not emphasize the warranty, the repair was scheduled. I'm trying to locate the contact information for Kenmore to bill them for the part and the repair. Right now I'm out about $300 for the part and $300 for the repair, plus $100 for the diagnostic. I had to pay out of pocket, because of "the way it was scheduled".

I always buy kenmore appliances ' I have a problem with ,y refrigerator it does not cool ' when it stoped working it was at the beginning of the pandemic , I contacted Serra's repair and said the warranty was spired , I had to buy another refrigerator but have tthis broken one in the garage waiting for parts ' the store where I got it in Tampa is now close , I am very desapointed

Highly not recommended to anyone who's buying product from kenmore guys... I'm perfect example of purchase my refrigerator in 2016 & even bought 5 yrs warranty of peace of mind.. however after 1 month warranty expired refrigeration got STOPPED working... common & also they r prompt that kenmore is #1 companies... I will not recommend to buy any kenmore product guys ... be safe but it's up too u... thanks

Kenmore this is actually a GOOD NEWS comment. I'm happy to announce our 1977 Lady Kenmore Elite gas dryer has survived 44 years until today. It would have lived on but we can not find a part that is no longer made. I know everyone says this but " they just don't make things like they use to." Thanks Kenmore, I will check out what dryers you are making these days. Feel free to send a shopping incentive to stay in the kenmore family.

Purchased Kenmore washer and dryer in August 2020. The washer broke February 6, 2021. I have been trying to get it fixed or replaced ever since. Can't reach anyone other than "customer service" who read from a script and say someone will be calling. It never happens. I will NEVER buy a Kenmore ever again. Nor will I purchase from Sears again as there is no recourse.

May 2020 I bought a Kenmore Freezer from K Mart of Annap.MD. Around Feb 1st the freezer stopped freezing. We had a service come to our house who told us he could not fix the problem and we would be receiving a new freezer. We waited a week and we heard nothing. After several calls over a 9 day period I was informed our serve was processed wrong and our freezer was placed on the wrong warranty. I have been with Sears for over 15 yrs. Tried to call the Corp office couldn't get through. Going to buy a new freezer. If I have to I will go to 7 on my side to get this resolved. Tired now but will start all over again. I can't give up

When we moved in late 2015, I chose a Kenmore Elite diswasher (one in house was gone) because of the good experience I had with one 15 years earlier. What a difference. The electronic control panel went bad in the first year and had to be replaced. Since then, I've had to reset the control panel a couple of times (fortunately, it ends up working for a while) and still sometimes the wash cycle will go all night. Also, the design on the door hinges apparently is faulty as it makes so much noise when opened that we dare not use it if anyone is sleeping anywhere in the house. Such a disappointment!

I purchased my Kenmore refrigerator from Amazon oct 2018. after about 5 months the ice maker stopped working. I'm going to cut to the chase here. Tech 5 trips here and the part never arrived. I had no use of my icemaker during the entire summer.
Now, 2 weeks ago the top part stopped cooling.
Tech came promptly and said the defrosted sensor failed and here it comes, ordered the part. Set
up appt for tommorow. But again no part has arrived. I can live without the ice maker but not without my refrigerator. The tech told me not to fill it with food. Great!! Nov 26 is my birthday and Thanksgiving. Las Vegas is now under partial lock down due to Covid.Now i have to shop daily instead of biweekly, exposing myself to the plague. This also makes deliveries undoable cause I have to keep the refrigerator pretty empty.
I am incredibly disgusted.
I was mournful about Sears bankruptcy but I see how it happened. Sears was the retail gold standard when I was a kid. Things sure changed.
I am now in the process of acquiring legal support. I'm not waiting months for a part again.

I purchased a Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator on May 26th 2017. It stopped cooling and all my freezer goods were thawing when I woke up. It took them 2weeks to come out. That was Friday oct 23rd. The tech didnt even have to do anything he knew it was the compressor. So $149.00 to walk in my homeand ghen tell me it would cost almost 1200.00 to fix. It has an LG compressor which LG is now in a class action lawsuit, but kenmore is not part of.The fridge is 3 years old and thus should not have happend.My 20 year old side by side kenmore is still working, we use it as a second refrigerator it has whirlpool parts.
Now I have to buy a new refrigerator it will not be a Kenmore and I'm going to make sure to post on Facebook. I'm a senior and this is causing a hardship for me.

We have a 3 year old Kenmore refrigerator. It stopped working a month ago on the 23 of September. I called Kenmore immediately and asked for a technician. I was told that the visit would be $169, and could not be arranged in less than 3 weeks. I was also told that the 10 year warranty I have with them is only for parts. I told them I thought this was ridiculous. They refused to reschedule this visit, so I took off work to be here on the assigned date. The technician never showed up despite me receiving a text, an email, and a robo-call telling me he or she would be there at the appointed time. (Between 1 and 5pm.) At 5pm I got on the website trying to figure out what was going on. In a chat session that I initiated, I was told that the appointment was not going to happen that day and needed to be rescheduled. I ended the chat and called the Kenmore service line. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told no. I was further told that the next available appointment would be another 3 weeks- into November. (making a total of 6 weeks from the initial call) I was informed that I could get my refrigerator looked at by my own technician, but that the parts warranty would be honored only if it was a Kenmore technician.

Update: On my Kenmore refrigerator. Since my refrigerator is new the parts are on back order. Customer service stated they have to make parts since the unit is new. Going on 2 weeks in a cooler. I cannot believe Kenmore or Sears doesn't make this right with a new unit.

Bought my kenmore in Jan. 2020. Still under warranty. I put in 5 calls about my Kenmore refrigerator making noises. Finally it quit working. Called and got a technician out on 10/14/2020. It spoiled all my food. The tech stated my kenmore was an awful item. Unplug for 72 hrs because it froze up. Then told me to unplug EVERY 6 months for 72 hrs. ?. He didn't touch the unit. Another tech came out 10/20/2020 and told me it was froze up. Ordered 2 parts and having them shipped to me. Couldn't get them or overnight the items so I could have a fridge. He can't come back out to put in until Nov. 3, 2020. I have been living out of a cooler for 2 weeks and by the time it's repaired it will be close to a month. I am appalled at the service I have gotten after 20 calls. No one can help me and this item should have been replaced. Who leaves a consumer in a cooler for almost a month. SEARS DOES! Do not purchase from this company.
