  • I cancelled my account in March and MSN continue to collect from my checking account. I keep calling talking until I'm blue in the face with these non understanding people for a refund for something I don't use. I sent a certified letter, and emails telling MSN to stop collecting, I filed a report of complaint, no one has responded. This is Bad business! These people in India and Phillapines keep saying the same things. Your account is cancelled but when you called it WAS DURING THE BILLING CYCLE, WHAT F.... I cancelled!!!!!

  • Your decision to unilaterally stop supporting "Organize Favorites" and to provide no method of migrating ones long and painfully-accumulated list of addresses to your new system was the last straw. My migration away from MSN starts now!

  • My access to my MSN e-mail account has been denied. I was on the phone for hours last week speaking to someone whom I could hardly understand. Anyway, after talking to one person, I was transferred to another. Long story short, after following their directions, I still don't have access to my MSN e-mail. MSN has been my ISP for years; I guess it's time to switch providers.

  • Terrible tech support and terrible service for dial up. msn doesnt care at all... miss a billing cycle and they'd probably be in contact with you immediately ...but have majore problems and not even be able to use the service ...they dont care... why should they ? 42 minutes on hold to talk to a know it all who didnt know the correct info ...now i have a stupid reference number and will have to wait another 40 minutes to MAYBE talk to someone who can help me .... Very BAD Tech support....maybe they should get rid of the JUNK and make a simpler system that is efficient and effective .... BAD MSN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The automated system was useless and so was the operator (press "O" a bunch of times). In the middle of asking for my phone number, the line went dead. Thanks for wasting my time, MSN!

    Anonymous 7/20/09 1:33PM

  • I have been unable to access my dial up MSN account. My password does not work and when I go to reset it, the system does not recognize my state or zip code that I have lived at for the past several years.

Nowhere is a phone number to try to fix this.

The self help screens don't help, they just cirle around from one site to another until I was so frustrated I put my computer away.

If I don't hear from someone soon to help me, I might have to find another service.

  • I am totally frustrated and dissapointed with MSN's tech support services. 1. Back in January I was talking to some reps (probably in India) for three hours to initially set up MSN on our new Laptop. After about 2 weeks, it stopped working to connect to MSN, and I simply gave up. 2. On June 6, 2009, I finally talked to tech support again because my son needs the Laptop to access the Internet for school. Again, I talked to two guys for over 2 1/2 hours while executing their directives on the Laptop. I was told to download 2 large packages (MSN and MSN Explorer) Total download time was about 6 hours on dial-up. After spending ALL day on this effort, nothing improved, and I still cannot connect to MSN. I have wasted $ 50.00 on my prepaid cell phone and used up 6 hours of my 20 monthly connect hours. Since nothing was accomplished at all, I ask for a 6 hour credit to my account. About 2-3 weeks ago, I also ordered the recommended CD to upgrade MSN access. Never received anything in the mail. In short, I'm one pissed-off customer. As soon as Windows 7 is released I'll buy a new PC and get high speed Internet access. Won't be MSN. In the meantime, what do you suggest to make the Laptop capable to hook up to MSN? I can't keep calling you guys, as you don't seem to know how to fix the problem. I give you one more chance before I switch providers. I want the problem resolved now. Regards, Boris Rimensberger

  • I have not had access to Hotmail for two days now. It is incredibly frustrating. I have tried through Safari and Mozilla Firefox with no positive results. I can log on but cannot access my inbox. When I used my friends iPhone I WAS able to access hotmail on a limited basis.
What is up? I am hoping they fix it soon but there is no way to contact MSN or log a complaint and there seems to be many other people out there with similar issues.
    Does anyone have answers?

    cb 5/8/09 8:00AM

  • Seriously, I have been with my msn email account since my first year in college (99). Im not sure what the problem is, but I hope its resolved. I tried to log into my account, and I was redirected to the login page. When I was almost ready to give up, it logged me in. Unfortunately, it told me I had to sign up for an inbox. THE NERVE OF MSN. I use this email account to do most of my business and pay bills. Now I don't have access and can't retrieve any previous emails. What really pisses me off is that I can't reach anyone for tech support!! Seriously, MSN GET IT TOGETHER!!!!!

Seriously Pissed with MSN 5/7/09 7:46PM

  • Yea same here, I called the number and they said "some users may be unable to connect to msn at this time" and blah blah blah in an automated voice. MSN is just plain terrible.
And guess what else that automated thing said, users of just email accounts can't get technical assistence, I swear msn puts the ASS in assistance.

    Anonymous 5/7/09 7:37PM

  • msn stinks can't get into my e-mail got their phone number from google search than called they said there is no one available to answer calls at this time no explanation on the phone or web site.

    bob 5/7/09 7:34PM

  • I don't know about anyone else, but it seems to be working again... For me at least.

    Anonymous 5/7/09 7:31PM

  • Would love to find an answer if I could. Every time I call this number, MSN automatically redirects me to Verizon, and their office is closed. My account is used for work, bills, everything. Temporary outages can happen, I know. I've been a paying customer for this account for 6+ years though. The had better get it resolved.

    Anonymous 5/7/09 7:23PM

  • Have some major research that I am working on through my emails, but can't get on tonight. Been on hold for about 5 minutes to get some answers. Would be nice if having problems on site to have something posted from MSN on homepage, etc. Hope this gets worked out immediately!!! Don't want to change my email address as a result of some new marketing strategy.

    Phyllis 5/7/09 7:15PM

  • I can not access my e-mail account and can not locate a phone number to contact tech support. Please advise on status of this outage.

    hbalducci 5/7/09 7:12PM

  • I can't sign in to my msn premium account or to my msn.com e-mail or windows live mail...nothing is working. Does anyone know what is going on.

    TMEE 5/7/09 7:10PM

  • YOU ARE NOT ALONE! This is absurd. We called an MSN technician who told us it would cost us $3.50 a minute to find out what's going on and asked us for a credit card! We cannot access our email including all the bills that come in thru email, all stored msgs, contacts, etc. We are completely shut out with no explanation and no help. WHAT IS GOING ON???

    FJF4CARZ@MSN.COM 5/7/09 7:03PM

  • What is going on with MSN? I can't sign on to my account. As another person noted, if you email a response I will not be able to receive it since I cannot sign in.

    gc1018 5/7/09 7:03PM

  • I can't get into my account and I can't find a phone number to call. What gives?

    Kathleen 5/7/09 6:58PM

  • It would appear I am not the only one having this issue. Not only can I not log into my email, I also can't access and Microsoft related site with my MSN-based Windows Live ID. Tried calling MSN and the passed me to Verizon which disconnected me. This is my primary address and everything I have is linked to it. Hopefully this issue gets resolved...

    Anonymous 5/7/09 6:57PM

  • Who are you people???! Between dinner and now you decided we needed to have new soft ware to pick up our email?

No posted phone number. No indication for what we should do?

Is this how you treat paying customers?

    susan 5/7/09 6:32PM

  • Thank you so much for the number. Even though I am very thankful for the phone number, it is frustrating that MSN themselves do not provide the phone number for their OWN customer service.

    Anonymous 5/1/09 10:03AM

  • I haven't had any dealings with MSN for over 3 years. Today, at my work, the business got a phone bill with some strange charges on it. In researching these charges, I was told that 'someone' with my PREVIOUS email address had signed up for 'radio streamlining' at the cost of $14.99 per month. I have no idea how anybody would have gotten my work information attached to my PREVIOUS personal account with MSN. We do not use Internet services at my work, therefore, I am really concerned as to HOW and WHY this happened. Any idea how I can actually TALK to someone at MSN?

    Mysterylady 4/24/09 9:38PM

  • I have tried since last March 08 to contact MSN regarding my ISP service. I have spoken to 4 or more reps in India and have been billed for over a year for services not rendered...I have been offered a two month credit in return for 13 months of incorrect payments. While no ISP service was provided.I am completely frustrated! Help!

    Anonymous 4/15/09 2:49PM

  • as i see it, hotmail is provided by and offered by MSN, so why can we not get any phone numbers or customer support on the phone??????????? if you use the oneline help, to fix an email problem, they want to email you a solution. thats great, but what if you CANT GET YOUR @#*$@ EMAIL OPEN??? its enough to piss off the pope!

    psdinkiowa 3/5/09 10:08AM

  • I agree - the new format for hotmail is terrible, unless I open my mail thru Instant Messenger, which because of Fairpoint.losers.com taking over Verizon, I am no able to use - A message saying my account in no longer valid, contact customer support pops up and closes messenger. It doesn't tell me how to contact them. I finally found a place where I could send an email, but after 3 days haven't heard a thing!!

    Anonymous 2/4/09 4:15PM

  • Hotmail is terrible so many problems and can't do simple things like fonts. PUT IT BACK THE WAY IT WAS. And try to get a phone number for customer service there is NONE.

    max2597 1/26/09 7:34AM

  • After 8 years on on time payments, I contacted MSN to disconnect dialup service over two months ago. I am still being billed on my credit card. I disputed the charges and finally cancelled the card. Now I am writing to the three credit bureaus to warn them about MSN's lousy customer service and billing practices.
PS - my new high speed service is the BOMB!!

    Anon 1/6/09 12:41PM

  • I cannot write any content in the body of my email now that hotmail has allowed yet another change to it by QWEST!!!! I hate it! I actually opened a gmail account but I hate it because anytime I want to send an email I have to type in email addresses even though I have a contact list! Does anyone have any idea how to fix the problem of not beig able to enter content in body of email. I can enter text into the subject line and the to:, lines, but not the body. Cannot find any support online and when I click on the help center it tells me I hve to possible clear my cookies for the site. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

    qwestmailhater#1 12/30/08 4:37PM

  • The listed 800 number worked great to up date my credit card. The online customer service did not work at all. This situation certainly needs attention.

    Anonymous 11/13/08 10:20AM

  • I have found it impossible to get any reply or help from customer support because you make it impossible to do so. the new format for my email is a nightmare. I now only have half the screen space I had before the change Elimate the huge space you are using for advertisement above the email list would be a huge improvement. nobody reads it anyhow. If possilbe put it back to the way it was ...If it isn't broke dont fix it

    Anonymous 11/10/08 1:54PM

  • Please stop changing your formats and forcing us to constantly take hours to re-learn your changes. OUR TIME IS VALUABLE, and apparently more so than your employees.Do you just give them busy-work so as to avoide firing them?
I hate your services and am changing to G-MAIL, but not before suing you. You forced me to change to this Live Windows crap, lose half my very important business storage files, and now I can't find a "contact us" option. You keep looping me around to the same HELP most commonly asked questions. There is no option there for me to use!

    rosannajuncos@hotmail.com 10/31/08 6:39AM

  • all I am trying to do is give you my change of address and phone number for your records and I can't find any link for that.
I moved to a retiremnt home and am using their internet connection, so I would like to have the dial up stuff removed from this computer.....
Also, at the last update (before I moved) my bcc vanished and I was not able to get it back after elaborate instructions by techs via Email.....
Hopefully this message will have results?

    clippingoma@msn.com 10/11/08 6:00PM

  • Most of the time I cannot find the answer to my questions on Windows XP. Tonight I tried again and still could not find what I needed.

MSN customer service is NOT helpful and I am not going to pay for it either.

Just wish I could get a paper handbook like the good old days when you could actually find what you needed.

    Big B 8/30/08 8:21PM

  • MSN needs a better way to contact customer service to fix problems.

    smiley 8/18/08 5:27AM

  • I keep having a terrible time getting signed on to Hotmail. It keeps telling me that I've tried to sign on to many times. If MSN can't fix this problem I'll be switching my homepage and my Hotmail.

    Anonymous 8/8/08 2:26PM

  • It took me 20 minutes to find the site and I don't know if the number I received is correct. It is a shame that MSN makes it so hard to reach a live person.

It's all about connections, right? BullS..T

  • While the irritating voice mail loop is still in place & not a human operator, I was able to rather quickly (60 sec) get a support tech who was able to answer my questions quickly. He was very helpful...

    Anonymous 2/8/10 2:47PM

  • Actually, I had a good experience the second time I called. the first was a waste of time. A lady named Suzette who spoke English with only a slight accent was extremely helpful. I called to change my account which was originally through Qwest which I discontinued(Qwest that is due to slow DSL speeds) Suzette attempted to keep my e-mail address and was told I could not. I said I needed to due to business contacts. I explained the problem it caused and asked her to check with management to see whether I could keep my e-mail address even though it was not "policy" and call me back. I have several providers and could use one of the others and not pay MSN (which I have done since 1991). This made more sense to me than changing my e-mail address with all of my business and personal contacts.

She called back about 30 minutes later and was able to convince management to do the right thing. Bravo for Suzette!! i must add, management made the right decision as well because they would have lost an 18 year customer. Every now and then things work out well.

    Suzettewas my contact 10/8/09 9:08PM

  • Tried this phone number and it worked. The key to getting through to a human was the voice-activated menu not understanding one of my responses. I needed my password reset, probably because someone had been trying unsuccessfully to log in using my ID, and locked me out of the system. Once the voice menu sent me to a live support person, it took less then 5 minutes of Muzak to get to him. Worked pretty well. I'll be saving this number.

    Optimist 2/18/09 1:20PM

  • I was able to get the information I needed by asking for Tech Support. Just say that you do not have an account and listen to the menu. Tech support gave me someone live who helped forward spam. Send all suspicous spam to abuse@msn.com
