Maytag said R R Appliances would come (in 10 days) to service my 11 month old washing machine that was not working. When I called their service company on that day, they told me they had no repair order, would not check with Maytag and hung up.

Maytag customer service is horrible. Contacted them for a warranty issue the representative assured me that my washer was under warranty. Maytag found and scheduled a technician to service my washer. My washer was fixed in a very quickly. However after the repair was made Maytag refused to pay for the service they scheduled leaving me with a $200 bill with service company. The Maytag representative admitted they made a mistake but would not fix the problem or pay the service provider for the service.

Maytag has become a complete disappointment.. The constant codes and failures are horrible.. Use to be agreat product but have had nothing but probles from the very beginning... Not knowing what this issue really was we used the Affresh believeing that would sove the problem with multiple codes and failures only to be told finally ,after the warrenty elapsed, that it was a control board issue which carries a $400 + price tag.. Truely a shame for a known defective part replacement... Maytag's reliability claim has gone down the drain... SMH

I bought a MayTag washing machine on 11/28/2018. The Drive Motor and the Wash Basket has a 10 year warranty. The washing machine stopped working on the 8th of September. They sent a technician out two weeks later and he changed the Motor but did not fix the Wash Basket. They told me that they had did all that they were going to do. MayTag is the Worst appliance I have ever bought.

New Pet Pro washer started not collecting hair/fur. Maytag set up repair appointment and emailed and texted appointment confirmation for today between 9-1. At 1l:30, I called Maytag just to double check and they confirmed again. Then called repair company and they didn't have me anywhere on the schedule. Called Maytag again. This time I was told the repair company didn't accept their request so no appointment was made. I asked how I would know that since I had confirmation and was told that it's up to me to call the repair company and confirm.

My family and I purchased brand new Maytag pet pro washer and dryer. The dryer has been fine but after two days, the washing machine was making a loud grinding noises. It took six visits from their repair guy to address the issue and now it just doesn't work at all and we're waiting for repairman again. My family and I have spent more time at the laundromat since buying this brand new washer and dryer set than we ever have in our entire lives. Maytag has not put their customers first in any way, shape or form and are almost fraudulent with the crap they are selling people , it is now going on 8 weeks and I'm still waiting for a working washing machine. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get the situation rectified and all they will do is send somebody out to fix some thing that cannot be fixed. It needs to go to the junk pile. I will never purchase a Maytag product again.

I have been on the phone for the last two days trying to get someone out to my house to fix my drier that is two months old that stopped working. I would speak to someone and tell them what is going on then I would get transferred to someone else and have to do it all over again! I was transferred SEVEN TIMES !! I was eventually transferred to a lady names La Kesha who works out of the south Carolina office who was absolutely AMAZING!!! every time she put me on hold to speak to the company that will be servicing my drier she would come back to me and check in with me ever 5 minutes and let me know that she was still working with the other people and she did not loose me. I really appreciate her for all that she did and how she did it!! if I could give this lady a raise I would! she definitely deserves it compared to the other 6 that were worthless and should be fired! This review is for LA KESHA! the world needs more people like you!!!

I have a 2 yr old Maytag washing machine that has been broken for 6weeks. I was instructed to use their authorized repair service, which I did. They replaced several parts & left. The washing machine was still doing the exact same thing It was prior to their "repair" and now smells like It is burning. Maytag said I had to use the same repair service or It would void my warranty on all the parts they replaced. They offered to reimburse my the $160 service fee. When they came back out, they said all they could do would be to replace the exact same parts they already replaced. At this point we had been without a working machine for a month. Maytag offered to exchange the machine for 80% discount. I paid an additional $188.00. After 10 days I called for an update and they stated the new machine was never ordered. They said It will be an additional 3-4 weeks to get a new machine. They are a total failure as far as product quality and customer service!

My Maytag top loading washing machine is 2 weeks old and stopped working. Maytag stands by parts only and doesn't care how long it might take to fix this defective machine. I will never buy Maytag ever again.

Wow where do I start? Zero star if I could. This company is a total fraud. I been waiting 2 months for my parts to arrive for my washing machine. Finally I got upset and decided to call Maytag myself and they tell me they never received the parts request from Young's Appliance Repair in Ottawa and told me they would contact them and I would need to wait another 21 days. I almost blew my top since Young's has been telling me waiting for parts. Unbelievable!! Then when I called Youngs they tell me they received 2 out of 3 parts and still waiting for 1 part but called Maytag again and they never received a request for parts and even the Maytag customer service called a direct line to a woman called Lori and she said no parts have arrived still waiting for all 3. Maytag says it should not take longer than 3 weeks for parts turnaround but I been waiting 2months and possibly another 2 months. This is crazy especially since I bought the wash machine brand new and only used it for 4 wash loads and it broke down and now I been without a washing machine for over 2 months. WOW. Only WOW !! And when I call Young's they rarely answer or know what is even going on in there. Bush league company to say the least and will never deal with them again and I am appauled that Maytag even allows Youngs appliace to do their warranty repairs for them

Score=0!! We've had nothing but issues with our washer. The motor was fried after having it for a month. It was replaced with a brand new unit - aka another piece of garbage. Our second washer has had a broken detergent drawer and a cracked lid twice. We've spent over 7+hrs on the phone with customer service. We continue to get the run around or told there's nothing they can do - except offer me a coupon code to buy a new washer (when mine is only 3 years old). They're unwilling to help & acknowledge that the left hinge on the lid is defective. The plastic cracks in the same spot near the left hinge and eventually shatters, making the washer unusable bc it will not lock. The lid has ALREADY BEEN REPLACED. However, it broke again after just over 1yr, so it's not covered under the "warranty". I've never been more disappointed with washer or a company. They make their product well enough to last through the 1 year warranty. Then everything breaks. I will NEVER EVER buy another Maytag or Whirlpool product again!! **AVOID Maytag!!**

It would be wonderful if you could make a blanket cycle on dryers. That would stop every 10 or 15 minutes and spin in the other direction so the large blankets and sheets would not just roll into a big nondrying ball.

Maytag commercial Technology washer is TRASH!!! LESS THAN 6 MONTHS OLD!!!! Stopped working, bought extra insurance, took two weeks to get techn8cian to look at it, another week and a half to come out and replace motherboard. Three weeks later washer won't start!!!! Have to wait until Monday to call for service.
My old maytag lasted 16 years so I purchased maytag again...BIG MISTAKE!!!

Maytag used to be top of the line. No longer so.They are no better than the cheapest brands out there. There service is terrible and anything they make is junkie. What good is a warranty if I have to pay for the service call and the labor costs to make a repair. Won't buy Maytag every again.

Maytag dishwasher broke in less than a year.
Customer service referred to repair service, who was unable to repair it in 2 months. Maytag customer service is very customer unfriendly , not helpful , poorly cooperative.

Our Maytag washer is 9 months old and has broken down twice.This machine is not over used because it is only my wife and myself.I would never buy another Maytag product.

We had to purchase a new washer and dryer becaseu our old set was in need of repairs. It was cheaper to purchase new.
I wish we would have just repaired our old washer.
I DO NOT like the new model because of the Affresh feature that CANNOT be turned off. It is a COMPLETE waste of time, water, and money. There is NO way of knowing when it's time to "clean" the washer until after you have already loaded and placed detergent in it all for the code to come on and then you have to take everything out to cleasn the machine. WASTE of MY TIME! There is no button or code indicatoing whent he clean time is due. I ahve tried to by pass the feature and can't do that either. This featuer needs to been taken off or updated.

Have a two year old maytag washer. It's making a awful noise and called to get technician to come look at it. He said he would be here 8:00am to 4:00pm . No show no call. And a missed whole day of work. Woww.

So over a week ago had maytag (bought it 4 months ago) dryer timer and knob break. Called maytag who sent in service request to provider. Since provider hasn't scheduled a repair date called today. Seems parts are on backorder. Called maytag/whirlpool. Hah! They wait 21 days for backorder then if don't get parts "decide" whether consumer waits more or replace. So customer service is a joke. Won't purchase a maytag or whirlpool product again.

Well my sis payed almost 1000$ for a Maytag washer a little over a year ago and pow it goes out would not recommend buying there products the warranty is not worth a crap they don't stand behind it and give you the runaround with repair guys that should not be in business any way they used to be the choice in are family but guess what looks like looks like LG will be our preferred brand Maytag has become a joke

Washer bought through Home Depot on 5/2/23. 6/27 it is now broken for third time. Worst product ever. Have asked for replacement or money back and told no. Must continue with warranty process only. Worst customer service. NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AGAIN.

I've had this refrigerator for 2 in a half years, when I first purchased it, it was brand new and it broke down twice. I had it replaced and lost $100 worth of food, I then rented a refrigerator for 3 months because my original new refrigerator was being replaced with a new one. I was never reimbursed from the rental or the food that was lost, not once but twice. When my new one came in I got the extended warranty and 2 in a half years later I am having the same issue with the freezer and it's a new refrigerator which I also had service a year or so because it was an issue with the freezer and the gentleman had to come twice to replace the screen, and took my freezer apart and ordered parts. The customer service is horrible, you'll get some actual people who want to help and some who are just rude.

Just spoke with Jason in Cleveland office. And again was offered no help at all as to when my Maytag 18 cu in stainless steel refrigerator might arrive, as I was promised it would be her the first week of May and I have a house full of people arriving g. Nor can anyone help me with the up to 40 percent rebate offered for purchasing in May through Menards. I will file papers with better business bureau. Extremely long phone waits, being transferred to 6 different departments, to be unable to find anyone with answers is unacceptable.

My dishwasher is only four months old now. Stopped working and started beeping continually. We went through the warranty process with Maytag and it took three or four days for the repair man to come. Turns out the part is on back order and after calling Maytag twice they are telling me it will be at least another five weeks. I asked if we can just exchange it for a different dishwasher at Lowe's but they refused. I tried to escalate it, but they said the escalation team is helping with phone calls and couldn't talk to me for another couple of days. What kind of company handles customers like that! So I have dishes all over my countertop, both clean and dirty because I can't keep up with five kids hand washing everything. Worst customer service experience I've had for a LONG time. I will avoid whirlpool and Maytag like the plague from now on. Both the same company.

I ordered a commercial washer and gas dryer set directly from Maytag.com 4/4/23 to be deliveried in OKLA. When they told me J.B. Hunt would be the delivery service a bout had a heart attack. There is no TRUCK sign on my street. I had no idea that Hunt had a small truck delivery fleight in OKC, OK. They showed up early with out a scratch and brought it right in 4/14/23 9:45 a.m. Easyest delivery ever. My hats off to J.B. Hunt!!!

After two bad experiences with Maytag customer service representatives, I had the best customer service experience EVER. Samantha (Houston) was patient, understanding and very professional! I would steal her away tomorrow for my business if I could.

My problem was a little convoluted. I was helping my sister-in-law who had given me wrong model and serial numbers. Samantha worked through all of the issues and scheduled a service all. I hope Maytag knows what an incredible job she is doing!

12 1/2 months after buying a Maytag washer and dryer, the washer threw a code. I called Maytag and even though my washer was just out of warranty they gave me a one time warranty service call. The tech determined that we needed a water pump and wiring harness. After waiting several weeks, Maytag informed me that the parts were not available and they would replace the machine. after several weeks, the new machine was delivered today and the old one was picked up. Great customer service. Glad I went with Maytag.

Maytag!! Please explain why do I have to replace my heating element every year for my dryer?? I clean the vent out after EVERY use!!! My washer broke right after the warranty ran out. And ever since the dryers heating element goes out every year!!! Junk products. When this dryer completely breaks will never buy Maytag or Kenmore!

MAYTAG IS THE BEST!!
I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer in May 1987 from Marty, owner of Homestyle Appliance in Mount Kisco, New York. I had to replace the dryer about 6 years ago, but I STILL have the washer which is and has been used everyday usually 1 to 2 loads a day for the past 34 YEARS! It only needed 1 small repair, a $10.00 part which my husband replaced. I will literally cry when the time comes to replace it. It's a very simple machine, push buttons and dial, not the fancy computer operated machines of today that only last a few years. Thank you for making such a long lasting machine, I could do a commercial for you! I am 66 years old so I remember the commercials with The Maytag Repairman ?

My parents got my husband and me a Maytag washer and dryer June 26, 1960 for a wedding present. I've had three washers and my dryer went out tonight. A Sears employee told me some time ago that I should let the company know that and I did but haven't had a response. So, I'm letting you know tonight that it's gone! Thank You. My Maytag washing machine is the best money i have spent in a household appliance for a very long time. A close friend of mine is a white ware repair man, our washing machine had broken down and i asked him if he had any second hand washing machines for sale,he told me he had just done a minor repair on a Maytag washing machine and that in his 15 years of being a qualified whiteware and small machines mechanic had never worked on one as they are known in the industry to never break down. We jumped at the chance to buy it 4 years ago and have never looked back. We have 6 children and as you can imagine a whole bunch of laundry,,,, but my favourite thing is that it has no computer board and just does what you programne it to do. Thank you Maytag for producing a product that lasts the years and is reliable. Would never buy another brand.

I have always purchased Maytag washer and dryers and will continue to do so. I had an issue with my Maytag Performa dryer and it needed a new roller wheel. During the removal of the front cover I reached under the lip at the top of the cover to remove it and cut a finger on both hands one to the bone. I didn't slide my hand all I did was lift.
I have been a heavy jet mechanic for 42 years and as a group if we find a part that has a cut hazard we file that item down so no one gets cut.
I find it hard to believe that your quality control department would let your manufacturing department let something like this out the door, knowing that someone down the road would cut their selves .
I through this may have just been my unit but when I was talking to a repair man when I was picking up my part he said they are all that way.
My suggestion to you is take the extra few minutes to knock that edge down in your future dryers.
Thank You for making great products and this could just make them better.

I could not be more satisfied with the customer service team at Maytag. I had an issue with my brand new front load washing machine and the rep walked me through the steps needed to correct the problem. She was both friendly and patient. Needless to say that the issue was resolved without having to schedule service.

I have a Maytag Bravos washer that is almost 3 years old. I did not purchase an extended warranty so when it broke I expected to be on the hook for the full repair. I called Whirlpool to get a recommendation for service and to my surprise, they offered to send someone out to have a look at it at no charge! I had indicated that there was a burning smell so they said it was a safety issue and they would send someone the next day. Later that day, I got a call from my "Whirlpool rep" who gave me her name and DIRECT contact number. She said she would be following the case until it was fully resolved! A technician came the next day and identified the problem - several parts needed to be replaced. So, again, I thought I was in for a big repair bill. The next business day my Whirlpool rep called to ask how things went. She had not yet received a report from the technician so she wanted to know what he found. I read the report to her and she said that she would authorize coverage for the parts (5 in total) but apologized (!) that I would have to cover the labour. She suggested I call the repair people in 1 hour to give her time to forward the authorization to them. I did so, am now just waiting for the parts to come in and will be left with a bill for about $100!!! Amazing service from Maytag/Whirlpool.

we bought a Maytag single wall oven (along with a micro wave and dishwasher). The oven smelled every time we used it for weeks. The first time we self cleaned the oven blew itself out and the door was locked. Called Maytag, a service man came out and said we needed a part, due to Maytag putting it in the wrong place in the oven. All in all we were without the oven for 3 plus weeks. The second time we self cleaned the oven did the same thing, except it was smoking so much the smoke detectors went off and would not turn off, so we had to take the battery out for the night. It was Sunday, and I was beyond angry. My other appliances worked fine but the oven was awful. A different service man came out, said he had to order a part and it would be a week. Than I got hassled about warranty being expired, so I had to go to Home Depot to get a copy of the original sales slip. I was still in warranty. All this was on Monday, and I felt well a week is shorter than 3 weeks. Thursday I got a call from Joe Sparks from Maytag, in Michigan. He had seen my nasty letter I wrote when the oven broke again .At the end of our conversation about my oven issues he told me he was sending me a new oven and he was having ours sent back to see what had gone wrong. The process took a couple of weeks and we received the new oven, he had it installed free of charge and it had a new year long warranty, starting the day it was installed! I was so amazed that he was doing it for us, especially after reading some issues other people had. I want to say THANK YOU to Mr. Sparks and Maytag for the amazing service.

I have a Bravos machine that gets an F-1 code. Bought it in 2008. Called Maytag Headquarters (not the 800 # that dont work) which happens to be Whirlpool and they transferred me to customer service. To my shock they are covering the cost of repair and part replacement of the control board!!! I almost fell over! So call headquarters and voice your dissatisfaction. If your appliance has been listed as having issues (not isolated but wide spread product malfunctions) they will cover the cost! Good luck to all

The last time I used Maytag (Whirpool) Customer Service was a nightmare. A&E Customer Service took 2 months and several calls to do nothing. Maytag finally called another company.
Today I called them again with entirely different results. The repair company was here within 2 hours doing a diagnostics. Within 5 minutes he knew what was wrong, called it into Maytag and they authorized the entire repair under warranty since the problem was the same as last time.
I have gained a huge amount of respect for Maytag. Thank you to their Customer Service rep in Tennessee.

After a very frustrating experience with a refrigerator less than a year old with issues and customer service reps who were rude. I am happy to report that Melanie helped me get my issue fixed. She understands your concerns and works with you, unlike my previous experience. I bought a top loading Maytag washer in December 2009 for $1100 at Sears, now it's November 2011, my washer went dead during wash. At first, I thought there was power disconnection so I had electrician came to check and he confirmed the power to the washer is good, it's the washer went bad. I called Sears, they said I have no extend warranty when purchased it and now they offer an extend warranty for $719 for 12 months. That is my first Maytag product and it also be my last. I used to have a GE washer and it last me for 10 years.

I have shopped at the Maytag store on Est and Orange Show Rd. in San Bernardino, California many times. I am always met with a warm smile and such helpful advice. I own all maytag appliances in my kitchen and have never had any problems so far. I love Maytag and I won't shop anywhere else.

I own one of the Maytag dishwashers that was included in the recall for a faulty heating element (which I had no problems with). When I went on line I discovered that M&M Appliance in Boynton Beach, FL was one of my options to schedule an appointment for replacement of the recalled part. I was relieved as I have purchased an oven & refrigerator from M&M and have been so appreciative for the assistance in choosing an appliance and for being so helpful with any follow-up service & questions.
Mike from M&M came as scheduled and not only replaced the recalled part but went way beyond the required service and replaced old copper tubing that was no longer flexible enough to reconnect without potenial leakage. He took the time to replace the tubing, at no cost to me. Mike never suggested the possibility that the tubing should have been replaced when the dishwasher was installed, nor asked who installed the dishwasher. However, I believe if the company that installed the dishwasher practiced the quality of service M&M provides the tubing would have been replaced upon installation. Maytag should be very proud and appreciate the quality of service provided by M&M Appliance.
I believe that M&M should receive some accommodation for their wonderful attitude towards customer service.
