Oster Extra Large countertop oven Model TSSTTVDGXL is WASTE of money. Had it first month, called Customer Service They said I pay to send it back to be checked. Didn't happen. Been thinking it would work...Didn't happen. It will not get up to 250°after 40 minutes. Still doesn't hold heat setting and WILL NOT BAKE AT ALL.
BEWARE OF OSTER

My warranty is up in a month. They will not stand behind the warranty. They want me to pay to send in my clippers, being that it is under warranty I feel like they should pay it. They also give you a round about to get any information.

This toaster sucks. It's a pretty color but the cord just stays crumpled!

I Have A Brand New Turkey Roaster Oven That I Have Used Exactly Three Times. The Third Time Using It, It Stopped Working In The Middle Of Roasting A Turkey.
Contacted Oster, Waited Two Days To Hear Back.
Just Received An Email Telling Me That My Roaster Was Only Under A One Year Warranty,
And That They Couldn't Help Me.

Brand New, Used Three Times Roaster, Dies During Third Use
And They Can't Help Me.
I Am Pissed.
I Will Never Purchase Another Oster/sunbeam Product Again.

I have been waiting for my food processor for 19 days. When I called they said there is a shipping delay and they never contacted me to let me know.

Bought Oster power max 2 speed had it three weeks, just went to use it, within 15 seconds the blade was extremely hot. I'm calling customer service in the morning...I'm sending them back and calling my bank to have them work on getting my money back.

I have had my a5 dog clippers for less than a year and only used them a handful of times. They have broken already and NO ONE from Oster will provide any help whatsoever. This is some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

I feel like I've wasted hundreds of dollars on what should have been a quality product with quality customer service in a time when life is barely affordable as it is.

Extremely disappointed and I would steer well clear. And I only usually leave positive customer/product reviews.

Oster is the WORST company, their products are of poor quality and their customer service sub, subpar. There are so many other options in the appliance purchase world, steer clear!

I just threw out my little blender I received as a Christmas gift. I only used it twice and both times the contents came out the bottom when trying to take it out if the blending machine and it was all over the kitchen.. floor, cabinets and countertop. A total mess !! 2 out of 2 times and it tightened the bottom little black blender part very tightly. When you try to release it from bottom of blender it comes off. Good bye total mess and trash now. Garbage!! I ended up stirring with a spoon worked great!! Lol anyway your product is terrible and a waste of money!!

When I was 18 years old, I purchased one of your blenders for my mother. I think it cost me $18. It's base is avacado green.
That was 51 years ago! I am 69 now.
I am a health enthusiast. I went through Nutri Bullets. I was sold how cutting edge it is to extract the nutrients, blah, blah, blah. I drink most of of my breakfast, which are organice fruit and vegetables.
When my last Nutri bullet bit the dust, I dared to try my Osterizer Blender. I have used it almost everyday for the past two years. It does the same job! A GREAT JOB!
Somehow, I lost the top to that blender. I was sung saran wrap, until I thought Oster deserves foe me to buy a new blender, everb though I do not need one. So, I use my new top one the old "bottoM" motor and blade.
YOURS IS ONE GREAT PRODUCT!!!
Sincerely, Rudy A. M. Malizia

Dear Oster People:

This is more comments than questions. I got a blender for making smoothies. It was the oddest thing I've ever seen.

The first problem was I couldn't pour anything from the top. It was sealed. I had to turn it upside down to put liquids in it. Then attach blades to it. Then turn it right side up, put it on the base and turn it on. Then I took it off, turned it upside down again, removed the blades and then poured the liquids. Who designed this? Were they sober when they did it?

I took that bizarre device back to the store. I got another one where at least you could pour from the top like you normally do. But I had to attach the blades to it and put it on the base. As I poured the liquid in the container, it went down through the container and created a mess on the counter, on the floor and everywhere else.

I'm about 70 years old and I have never seen blenders like this. Tell this to those overpaid idiots who would have trouble designing a sandbox. A blender has only two parts, three if you count the lid. There is the base that has the motor on the inside and the buttons on the outside. Then you have the container which holds the liquids. Also attached are the blades and a base that goes with it. This is all one piece. You put the container on the base, secure it and then turn it on.

You do not assemble anything. You do not turn it upside down. You do not have anything leaking. Oster used to be a good company but if all you can do is come up with Rube Goldberg contraptions, maybe you should seek another line of work.

I can't send a picture because I took the upside down blender back and I have no clue how to send a picture with an email. The second one was a Duralast All Metal Drive Blender.

Remember these three words; simplicity is everything. The less parts you have means the less problems you have. I still have my mother's food processor-which still works! And no, it's not an Oster brand.

A newer way is not always a better way. These weird blenders of yours are certainly proof of that. Go back to what you did 40-50 years ago. It was simple, it was easy and best of all; it worked. Try it sometime.

Confused and upset,

This is a warning about the Oster "Convection Countertop Oven" TSSTTVDFL2 . It's what we call a "toaster oven".

bought March 26, 2021
failed April 2, 2021

This unit of the same make and model number which lasted over 10 years before one of its heating elements failed. I loved that unit, but the new one is not the same quality at all and it's not the same item, though it looks the same.

Summary: It's cheaply made and it's dangerous.

1.) When I unpacked it on March 26, I found out that the new one is externally smaller in size. I tried to put the old one in the new one's carton & packing to take it to the recycler, but it would not fit.

2.) The power cord is also very short, and is made of thin 18 AWG gauge wire. The unit consumes 1400 Watts, which is 11.67 Amps. Bear with me here about power cords.. 18 gauge power cord is rated for 10 Amps by NEMA/UL in the USA. Not 11.67 Amps. This tells us immediately that every possible penny has been cut out of the manufacturing cost and forget about quality!

3.) If it is the same model number, why would it be an actual different piece of equipment with a smaller external size? That alone is a 'flag' for deception, but isn't a giant reason to complain as long as it works, and the inside of the oven seemed to be the same volume but I didn't check because the same dishes etc. fit fine.

4.) It lasted 7 days and failed in a dangerous manner. This is a huge safety problem. The new Oster Convection Countertop Oven TSSTTVDFL2 got so hot that its door-handle brackets melted and the handle fell off. The part of the melted handle bracket still globbed on the door was partly burned brown. That means the temperature there was well above the simple melting temperature of the plastic. Know that the brackets of the handle are probably made of ABS plastic which melts (not burns) at 110-270 Degrees C (230-518 deg F) depending on alloy, and that paper ignites at 233 Degrees C (451 deg F). This is therefore not a frivolous complaint considering the charring of the plastic on the door. If I'm wrong about the materials please point it out, but it annoyed the heck out of me to have this happen on a brand-new name-brand product.

5.) The handle melting off is suspicious. How/why did that happen? We never use the "stay on" setting. This morning, there was a faint 'hot electronics' odor. I was checking around the computer, TV, and UPS when I heard a noise from the kitchen, and found the handle and its melted plastic bracket lying on the counter top in front of the toaster. The power light was not on but the unit was very hot.
6.) The unit had been used the same way as the old one: operated by mature adults only, and for small single serving dishes, broiling hamburgers, and making toast in the usual home kitchen.

7.) I think this product is dangerous if it gets so hot that the door handle melted and fell off. Why was it obviously overheated to that point with no safety feature to stop it, and why did this happen with the power light off?

8.) I believe this problem is caused by a cut-cost and cheapness problem running right up against the ragged edge of engineering safety and reliability tolerances. It's made in China. The old one was not made in China.

9.) Its going back to the store for a refund, no replacement, no exchange. Oster had a good and long-time reputation for quality. Because of the reasons above, I have no confidence in Oster any more. It could have caught fire or who knows what.

10.) Like many other American brands previously known for traditional American quality, Oster has joined the "Made in China" club. It's their own fault for accepting low-quality and dangerous product from their overseas manufacturer. These should be recalled. I will never buy Oster brand again.

I have been working with them for a month on a warranty issue with an air fryer. It seems they went dark and quit responding. I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt during these tough times but they should at least respond and say they are still working it

Breadmaker needed a new foot. They made us send the whole thing back for a replacement. They could have mailed a new foot for a dollar.Instead it went back UPS. when we didn't hear anything for 3 weeks we called and they told us they don't have any breadmakers to send us!! We said why did they insist we send it back if they couldn't replace it?? They said they would refund us $390.00 instead we got a cheque for $49.99. Nobody to follow up with, wrote to the CEO to no avail. I wouldn't buy anything that came from this or any associate company.

I bought 14 piece set of oster stainless knive set. It is the crappiest and softest knives I have ever used. Never in my life have I bought a knife set that I had to sharpen right out of the box. Also when I tried to sharpen with their sharpener it kept denying a chipping the knife. Pathetic. I am not happy at all

Contacted Oster to determine if they are recalling my toaster oven due to it turning on by itself and heating. The timer control knob with bell signal is defective. I was told to take it back to Walmart myself and IF They won't replace it, to call Oster back again! Why would I do that when I'm on the phone with them now? The item is defective and can cause a fire. Does it not matter to Oster that their product could cause a fire. I have to remember to unplug it anytime I use it!! After 48 minutes on hold and then another 20 speaking to the rep, I'm told there is not a manager to speak with. After I insisted I speak with a manager because I'm not happy with the customer service I am receiving or resolution, I am told there is not one available because of the high call volume! What has happened to Oster and their product and more over their customer service? Very disappointed as I have purchased many Oster products for many many years! Finally after going back-and-forth and insisting something be done while I'm on the phone, the rep states he will send a return address label via email so I can return the item directly to Oster and they will replace the item! Why couldn't this just be done within the first five minutes of the call after I stated I don't want to go back to Walmart, wait in line and then be told they cannot replace it because I do not have my receipt. He suggested I have to take pictures of the item and send them via email and proof of purchase! I said I don't have the receipt and having the item itself is proof of ownership. why do I have to go through such extremes to get a fire hazard replaced? Is this really what Oster has come to? It's very unsettling that a consumer has to go to such extremes, to get an item replaced that is defective and possibly could cause a fire! I will follow up once the item is either replaced or never to be seen again!

First the door to my toaster oven stopped closing so I had to use a screw to keep it closed. Then the thermostat broke, so that no matter what temperature I set it to, the elements all just glowed red continuously. If I had not noticed I could have burned my house down. Even when it was working, it made terrible toast and took forever. Never buying an Oster product again and am telling all my friends. If they had any semnlence of customer service this could have been avoided.

I own a Oster 4 quart. I cleaned it with warm water and soap. The top of the fryer door got totally discolored. Please advise what I could do. It looks like its rusted and embarrassing to me when I have people over my residence.

Thank you for your time regarding this matter.

Apparently Oster hasn't come into the 21st century.. no email to customer service. I had an Oster toaster I used for years and when it seemed to only toast one side of the bread I bought a new OSTER. This one does the same thing.. ONLY TOASTS ON ONE SIDE of the bread. I'm very disappointed.

The 3 cup rice cooker and steamer is EXCELLENT! (CKSTRC6S-DM).
If you measure per instructions there won't be any overflow mess and cleanup is easy with the no-stick bowl. I've used mine a dozen+ times and the rice is always perfect. The steamer works great too, but it's small so asperagus and larger stuff has to be cut down. I'd feel good recommending or giving as a gift.

I needed a replacement pan for an older model toaster oven. Their rep, Joely went above and beyond to locate a suitable replacement.

Called the customer service number when my blender jar broke and after a short wait I spoke to a representative who shipped a replacement to me with no charge and no mention of the warranty. Great customer service!
