Unfortunately, there isn't an option for leaving a zero-star review! This bank is the worst. After completing a wire transfer from my account to purchase a home in a different state, I went in to have the second wire transfer done and they refused. My only option was a certified check which I had to overnight the check and wait for it to clear. After the second transaction I received a letter stating they were closing my account in roughly 25 days.
I pay all my bills online through the bank or my credit card. I was treated extremely rudely by the branch who refused to return two phone calls to me. In the meantime, I was closing out a large investment account and asked to have the funds wired into another account under my name. Two days went by, and I saw no movement in my account. Luckily, I phoned the bank's wire transfer department and was told that they couldn't see the transfer and believed it had not been initiated. At the same time, after removing my auto pay accounts except for two that were due immediately, I saw online they had not paid one of the auto pays. Another trip to the branch since they wouldn't return my phone call.
I ended up taking a certified check for the whole amount of my account.
And now, I am receiving below balance notices on my email.
This bank is the worst!

no one seems to know what they are doing. Branches are not answering their phones.
Departments not working together to share information.

PNC Bank SCAM/FRAUD victim in the amount of $700,000. PNC Bank is blaming me for the SCAM/FRAUD. PNC Bank failed to acknowledge the irregular activity of my checking and savings accounts such as Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML). PNC Bank also failed to detect the International Wires sent to Chinese Criminals and Gangs, potential Terrorist Gangs. PNC Bank failed to acknowledge this is also Financial Elder Abuse since I am over 65 yrs. old. The worst part of working with PNC Bank is the bank divisions are disorganized, rude, and do not know how to take care of their customers. I also found that the Customer Service Representatives did not know their job descriptions. PNC Bank is a mess of a bank and is not "Too big to Fail."

PNC customer service was extremely rude and they honestly give off the vibe they hate their job and really don't care about their job. Way to go to their hiring team. Didn't know much about how to resolve issues either. I will need to look to a different bank to move to.

PNC Bank SCAM/FRAUD victim as a customer over 65 yrs. old. PNC Bank is blaming me for the SCAM/FRAUD. This is Elder Abuse and is a Felony, Federal Offense. The worst thing is the SCAM consisted of International Wires to China. PNC Bank is responsible for sending International Wires to Chinese Terrorist and Criminal Gangs. The FBI, Dept. of Defense, and Homeland Security have been contacted.

BEWARE of PNC Bank online banking!

On July 5 I went to the left PNC ATM outside on 5435 Reisterstown Baltimore Maryland 21215. I deposited $825.00 to my savings. I inserted my card and the money and the atm kept the money and kick my card back out. I call customer service right after this happened. She told me they got to investigate she told me it can take up to 10 days. I told her that money is to pay my rent. I need my money, look on the cameras . This is so unfair to me, I need my money.

I keep coming back for assistance but I couldn't get any help from them. They really don't seemed to be willing to help. I have an account with them and I was trying to have something notarized but I was denied. This PNC bank is at Kearny Branch

I hate to write a bad review - in this case they Earned the rating. PNC was a good bank for me until I had to deal with the fraud Protection unit. There is no protection from fraud at PNC.
They provide a form of reactive response at best to a crime. I used the alerts on my account. I called at the time of a fraudulent transaction. Within an hour of the activity coming up pending, not yet posted. I was informed they could do nothing until it was posted.
Then after a month they informed me they believed it was legitimate, and charged my account. I was never contacted for details - just charged. Within days of the first account being hacked, someone charged a 3600.00 generator to my account. Again I called as it was being transacted. Unfortunately it was a friday afternoon and they had left for the weekend. Again they informed me it had to post before they would react. 3 days wasted. I had to track down the transaction with what little information PNC would share about the merchant. I called the police and stopped the delivery as it was happening in another state. All while PNC waited for it to POST. They are simply letting people steal the money and waiting to go after them.
PNC policy and actions are inadequate to protect you in today's world. The decision to charge me for the reported fraud is ludicrius. I guess I paid for the right to leave this review. Your money is NOT SAFE in this bank.

Worst bank EVER. Opened checking and savings account , also signed for PNC rewards card (they promised nice 200$ bonus if you spend 1000 in 3 months) . After few months they closed my accounts without any reason , just sent letter that accounts closed .WOW , what a way to treat customers . And after 2 months they took my earned rewards(25$) , stole it and refused to pay 200$ bonus and closed the credit card . It is a SCAM that pnc running to get you open their credit card and than close it instead of paying customers . Fraudulent bank PNC . All my efforts to get the reason why account was closed - nothing. Credit card was in good standing, always paid full balance on time and have FICO score 0f 840 . Absolutely no reason to close account unless they are discriminated me because of age or other reason .

On st 64 east Dixie Ave, a new manager is replacing all tellers thus no locals there any more.
Hours open too short for executive spouse to deposit and pay mortgage. For 6 plus years could assist spouse. Today new management disrespectfully declined to assist family executive.
Time to leave low mortgage there but move all other accounts. 28 years customers go elsewhere due to power mad new branch manager.

PNC will reorder transactions to charge you overdraft fees whenever possible. Every time I make a debit purchase, they will take the money out immediately, then remove the transaction the next day, then two days later have it show up again. They do this inconsistently and for no reason at all. They also reorder transactions to reflect a negative balance, when my account was never negative. I'm so sick of this bank and will most likely switch at some point. This has been going on for years.

I got an auto loan from PNC bank and I can honestly say it's the worst bank ever. My vehicle was totaled I've spoken with 3 supervisors Jasmine Gray, Melanie Goff , Diane and none of them were really helpful Melanie was the best out of those three. Jasmine lied to me about getting a 2 month extension and her and melanie told me they would wave the late fee but yet I'm being charged the late fee. I've been waiting for a letter of guarantee from the bank to give my insurance and nothing has been done. I have been with out a car for a long time. It's very upsetting and stressful that PNC gives out misinformation all the time. Honestly the worst bank to get a loan from

Never try to help customers
charge for taking your money out
don't help even that I have had the account with them for 20 years

They suck in a word. They just tell you for security reasons you have to go to a branch. My mother is 94 and in a home and very hard of hearing. Getting someone to help is nearly impossible. I'll go the branch alright, and put my money elsewhere.

Pnc has and is holding funds longer than 3 to 5 business days which is long enough to verify if checks are valid. The pnc bank manager initially said 3 to 5 days. Now it is 10 days to verify funds. This is due to the bank manager at the highland square branch in Akron, Ohio. There is nothing suspicious about the checks. It does not take a bank this long to verify funds. The fact they said 5 days and now 10 days. They keep asking the same questions. The check writers name and what was the money for. I have been banking with pnc for over 20 years and now I get treated like wet food stamp. In the past I found reasons keep banking there when I should've stopped. In 2023 the relationship is over. I will no longer bank there any longer

Never use PNC bank!!!

You tell them you are gonna pay for your own property insurance and 3 different PNC employees tell you your payment is going to go down by $371. Then you get a letter in the mail telling you it's only going to go down $188!

So then you get the breakdown of the principal, interest, and escrow, and they want you to pay in almost 3 times the amount for your property taxes than what you actually pay.

Fine. Y'all just won't have an escrow on me at all if you can't do plain math. I never wanted anything to do with this Bank and I purposely never gave them my business. I pray that they choose to turn around and tell my mortgage quickly because I don't want anything to do with them!!!!

To Whom this may concern,

I requested and received an unsecured loan from PNC bank, in the bank agreement, I agreed on the automatic payment deductions and was given a 1/4percentage decrease on the interest rate.
Right before the first payment was due I made a payment for the loan because I wanted to pay extra on the payment, little did I know that the Bank 3-4 days later would take and additional payment from my account, this additional payment cause a negative balance on my checking account.
I called the customer service number and followed that with a visit to the local branch the next day. No one could reverse what had taken place for over two weeks which rendered my account locked and I was not able to use the bank services until the bank reconciled the account. Not sure why it took PNC Bank over two weeks to reverse the transaction since all accounts involved are all PNC accounts.
In resolving this issue I was taken off from automatic payment and a 1/4 percentage point was added to my loan? I spoke to a person in the escalation department Mrs. Latoya and was treated with disdain and no care for me as a long time PNC bank customer of over 25 years, this escalation representative basically told me that I was not going to get the 1/4 percent back on my loan and that the automatic payment had been disabled.
My experience with this issue has been the worse I have ever experienced and is the kind of thing that is making me re-evaluate my accounts with PNC as a customer.

The staff at PNC Bank was unable to fix the issue in a prompt manner (locking my account for about two weeks), were unwilling to correct the situation and now has hiked my loan an additional 1/4 percent, to make things worse the call from a the escalation department Mrs. Latoya (called at 7:30pm EST) was cold and uncaring to my concerns or questions and basically told me to take a hike and f@#&* off in a cold business like move.

I certainly hope that PNC Bank trains their banking staff better and have more compassion for their loyal customers, this all came about because I was trying to make a higher payment than required for my loan and because of that I have been penalize by the bank.

I have had a safety deposit box with N. Huntingdon, PA, PNC for over 31 years. I wanted to open an individual savings account using cash and five United States EE Savings Bonds.

They would not accept the bonds! Their account representative, who was very professional, checked with her supervisor and told me that I had to have been an account holder for at least a year to cash in the government bonds and deposit the funds. I had no problem if they wanted to place a hold on the funds, but they refused to accept these negotiable Federal EE Bonds.

In addition to the $6,000.00 they lost that day, I had planned on transferring a large sum of money from an online bank account I was closing. I had also planned on opening a separate business checking account. These funds and more will be placed in a competitor's bank or credit union.

Over the weekend I was alerted through an email notification that my checking account was below my threshold which was strange to me because I planned to leave myself spending money after my bill payments for a weekend trip home. When looking through my recent transactions I saw there was an AT&T charge for $242 in a different state than my own. I was never alerted of a fraudulent charge which was my first complaint.

I waited a few days for the payment to go through before I called their corporate/fraud number listed on their website. It was extremely difficult to even get through the automated system before I finally reached someone who didn't have a damn clue what they were talking about it. She almost sounded inconvenienced that she would have to deal with a fraud claim and told me that it would take 45-90 days for them to even look at my claim and refund my money, so she suggests I call AT&T myself. Great idea, idiot, except I'm not an AT&T customer so people on their end basically laughed in my face saying they couldn't look into anything because I didn't have an account.

I have had my card skimmed at gas stations before and my bank is always the one to reach out to me, let me know fraud has been detected, and then THEY take care of it. I have never heard of a bank making their upset customer investigate their own fraudulent charge. This has left such a negative taste in my mouth I want to pull all my money from the bank and look for a different establishment.

Avoid at all costs! Mortgage was sold to them and, long story short, they're horrible in every way...frequently providing inaccurate and conflicting information, typically failing to provide attendants with sufficient notes on account to answer questions, and refusing to to provide access to any level of support beyond those attendants. I'm seriously considering getting a new loan, at a worse rate, simply to ensure I never have to deal with again. Don't get stuck, like me, especially with so many alternatives

A representative by the name of Albertrise refused to assist me as a customer and transfer me to a manager. In fact, she hung up on me before and I called back and got the same person.

I had over $500 stolen from my account. I contacted PNC bank to report fraud. I filed a police report. Both done the day after the charges appeared. I was told PNC bank WOULD NOTrefund the money to my account. Reason being I had not talked to the fraud team. I have spoken with the fraud team since. PNC bank still will not refund my money. The account was opened through my employer for payroll services. Fraud protection is advertised for all your cards stating zero liability for any fraud that takes place on the card through the account. It has been over 4 months and I have received nothing. Basically the company promised were not upheld. The customer service I have received since attempting to contact someone regarding this issue has been extremely unacceptable. I would expect better from a mom and pop restaurant. I wanted what any customer would want. Acceptable customer service and a company that backs what they promote. I wanted my money back as promised. I am one customer and may not hold much weight, but if no contact is received regarding my issue I will remove all accounts and discontinue P No c as my y bank as well as my make my experience known. This is no way to treat customers. You are practicing bad business and letting unhappy customers deal with issues your bank took responsibility to fix in the beginning. No operation that treats customers with such negligence and allows issues to be shoved under the rug will have the support it by needs to thrive for long. My experience with PNC bank has been the worst of any company I have ever encountered. And the worst part is the entire time it was completely preventable and fixable.
