I've called in twice & been on hold over 15 minutes & have yet to speak to a live person. My suggestion for huge wait times would be to have a prompt that you can select to have someone call you back like other automated systems use.

I've been using this trash service for far too long, only because it's the only option I ahve in my area. I'm a full time streamer on Twitch, and I'm overpaying for trash speeds and not even getting the speeds I pay for. How am I to do my job when these idiots can't even provide what they promise? I have many friends across the country paying half of what I am, for far better services and speeds than these jokers are offering? Y'all are a joke. Seriously. Get bent.

PTD is owned by a cable operator. Cable operators have been stuffing $$$ into their pockets forever by offering the lowest level of service for the most premium dollars that the market can allow. Think about it, when you're the only game in town, you've got a monopoly. The clock is ticking on the longevity of these companies. Customer base shrinking, no more cable TV demand, the funeral has started. Just wait--the big bow out will be the sale of every cable network to a MSO (ie Verizon, etc.) Enjoy the ride people. They'll go to the bank one last time and cash out. And remember, these networks were built with your municipality granting an exclusive right to run cable in their community and then charge each subscriber a fee that went back to the municipality. Wow, if Al Capone were alive today, what an organized shakedown.

I did an ookla speed test and it gave low numbers for my upload and download speeds. The download speed was the worse it was almost on 0.

Slow speeds, even slower problem solving. Tech support is a dog and pony show. As others have said, the problem is never with Pentele Data, it's always on your end, which it never really is.

For the last few weeks I've been having intermittent problems with logging into my email account with Penteledata. Several calls to tech support did not resolve the problem. I had my son who is a computer expert try several other things including disabling my antivirus protection with no positive resolution. Last week I placed yet another frustrated call to Penteledata only to be led through everything that had been done before. When I became frustrated I was told by tech support to either shut up or hang up! Guess I need to find another internet server.

I have PTD simply because I have no other option. We all say a prayer every day that PTD goes out of business so a real company can take over. I feel like I live in Russia. Every day the internet just stops working. I go through the reset the modem and the wifi routine when I call as if this is the first time I have called. Then they say oh my i see you are down, we'll send someone out. The guy walks around the house with some device then he says he found a "leak" splices some cable, then whala! internet. About a week later same story. Once I got aggrevated and told the tech that I thought PTD was a joke and he hung up. I called back and got the same guy and he literally told me to and hung up. I called and asked for Mgt. They didnt care. Isnt that amazing?

PenTeleData SUCKS!! Customer Service refuses to believe their own speed tests, WHEN YOU CAN CONTACT THEIR OWN SPEEDTEST!! They simply lie to you: "I see no problem in your area." I wish Verizon were available in Sussex, NJ. PenTeleData would be out of business in a week.

Worst customer service I ever experienced. I understand that you people go through this everyday but you have to treat your customers with respect if you plan on being around for long. I will just bite the bullet and deal with Comcast thank you very much

Constant random slowdowns and issues. Their techs are completely incompetent and ALWAYS say the problem is your router, even if problem persists when your router is disconnected and your plugged directly into their modem. The only reason they are still in business is because they are pretty much the only provider in the area, if there was ANY competition they would be plowed under in a matter of weeks.

I was with PTD since I built my house in 2000. In 20 years, I had 3 copywrite complaints of which 1 was taken care of and I was in the middle of clearing up the other two.

PTD has a policy that regardless of the outcome of the complaints, if you have 3 complaints they will turn off your internet. When I called, I was told to submit a letter and ask for amnesty or forgiveness and they would most likely do so. They would contact me with their finally decision within 2 weeks. Well I did that and got my decision in a few days when they turned off the internet and never told me.

Have to say, horrible policy. They dont let you fix the problem. They automatically assume because the person contacts them that something must have been downloaded. They investigated to see what really happen.

So, I closed out my acct with service electric who didnt even try to keep me as a cable and phone customer. All the way around it sucked and i would suggest no one else ever using them.

I've been a customer of PenTeledata for approx 6+yrs, hoever a starnegr to computers so I often called many times however, after my issues were fixed my calls became less & less Now it's been over approx 2 yrs but I am often "reminded" that "No it hadn't been so long thus giving me the last date actually reminding me of my last call}or Not really you just called in..making it an issue that wassn't suppossed to be but this has been said by one particular tech Brent whose name I did not give last time as this site was not available yrs ago or I'd have expressed my greivience long ago! I have always been complimentary most of the time even if I knew I was being treated w/ alck of humor or a sense of false superiorority I would go as far as "condesending",re:Customer Realtions this is a format for communicative reasons,where a;; aspects of ones personality dictates the many facets of human feedback which includes humor,but "professionals do not treat others w/ distorted self serving,imzgined expertise,adding authoritive,smug know-it-all attitude[s] nor should they brow beat someone 20 yrs+I shouldn't antincipate fear each time I call & expected to talk primarily about computers as human nature distates "friendliess is also vital to ones needs not just answers to issues! according t'so this tech-bed side manner his "sighs of annoyance" intolerable is also heard, this guy has';t experienced the communicative nature of what tech's or any customes rep should be as a person in every area of life just as respect,this continued lack of the slightest professionalism has continued today when he overheard my remark while I didn't know he was on the line he screamed at me repeating what he heard so what I was taliking to myself I'm reporting you to my manger?" what? this narcisissticelief that he has gotten away w/ numerous insulkts then thinks customer will accept his threat thinking he has done nothing having being held accountable before for his own nastiness I overheard him laughing so we are even {we both overheard ourselves}but it was obvious that his humor did exsist however twisted he shared his triumph w/ others while he hadn't hung up,he belives suddenly I insulted him? No! This has happened to me first to Fear your ISP is not going to work!To fear self expression against his angry loud raised voice will not be tolerated! His false sense of professionalism" thinking if he breaks into laughter or as he has told me "I cannot do that" you'\ll have to call your computer sevce while I've already gotten help for the same thing his answers have been "Well i don't know who helped you, but I can't" So you're saying."You can't fix my e-mail server error?" No offense but, I will call later as I cannot believe this mundane problem needs such investigatory work I've hade this done many times before I think he hung up at least once or twice! I spoke to CHERL" earky today I was so happy she was warm understanding,receptive,& understood fully,I told her he threated to tell the manager I mentioned something something re:a lwayer but didn't mean it as I would never do that! She knew I was upset that's all [how can a company just take the word of a tech who has raised his voice,insulted me,many times refused to help me last year {many times] that I feared Oh God don't let me get that "hissy fit" Brent I didn't say it to you he said it didn't matter you said it" that is irrational" I didn't say it to him directly,his early morning sleep deprived attitude [ready to go home]indulged his anger & rage toards me why is it nobody else has ever complained bec- I have never given any tech reasons for"complaints I'm not going to condesent to him anymore almopst loosing my dignity while I am not a passive woman,this time I told him but he hung up again! Thank you for your excellent attention re; the "Customer Support"[er} employee for her undivided attention, understanding & compassion I told CHERL I had help from "Linda" after 6am She was so warm,relatable,& Laughed,sense of humor either he is devoid of it;s definition or thinks it means he's less Geeky is immature,& depressing! Linda's the one who helped me w/ the same everyday problem Mr. Brent said was impossible to fix!Thank you I cannot imagine someone so narcisisstic to think a ISP woul;d attack A customer after I've paid my bill through {automatic transaction bank}ontime for yrs I nevr call & have been a self taught re:my computer issues anything just not to get Mr.Brent! So afraid he will be cold,smug,& dismiss my problem as "impossible" not again! I will call after 8am thank you again SHERL & LINDA have restored my faith in ISP help! I feel better now!NEGATIVE RATING BELOW IS FOR THE ABOVE MENTIONED TECH NOT THE OTHERS!NO ISSUES W/ THEM EVER WHY? DIFFERENT PERSONA'S,PROFESSIONAL,WITHOUT CHARACTER FLAWS..

Linda can only solve super super basic issues that could be solved by visiting the main website, accompanied by some reading comprehension (she's no longer in the department), and Brent now works 7-3. FYI, the pay there is terrible, which is why the vast majority of the people there don't know anything whatsoever. When you get a good tech, you'll probably know it.

To Whom It May Concern I'd rather call after 8am after the early am hrs as I used to call at 5am sometimes earlier I've been inuletd many times by the same immature,guy whose 30yrs younger than I, this lack of humor,& the false sense of "superiority" is not in any way a sign of professionalism ,rather devoid of customer relations,where humilty,& friendliness should be an innate quality not the boring We don't do that call your provider"this weak character flaw is upsetting ,funny how after calling back later I "was not told to call my provider" the issue was fixed in seconds,I alrady had this probelem & someone helped me" well i don't know who helped you because we don't do that" {besides his poor grammer limited vocabulary},lackluster character These are far from "Geeks" not Smart & certainly not "Smart-er" nor are they intellegent Geeks of any kind you have to pull the words out of most of them still they are Hired? yes 3 are Great Linda after 8am was terrific Fixed my worries fast while other at 5am was an Insulting Brat! When one becomes afraid they'll hear a certain voice,{they know} when I must hang up for fear of what I might tell him, {without being hung-up on} that's not good what's worse? They are not held accounable! Commin Sense is missing.Since when is "laughing"& humor a Geek" thing?
