Ralphs Downtown Santa Barbara is a WRECK.
No warnings.
No posted signs ANYWHERE indicating the absolute chaos that awaits inside the store.

The staff shared with me that they know only as much as I do about the chaos - apparently to paint the entire store with ZERO regard for shoppers who (on top of everything else - including FUMES from paint and other materials) have to endure the possibility of the effect on food amongst the perishable items.

The Deoartment of Health needs to be alerted of these INHUMANE conditions (for the workers, the stockers, the painters, let alone any shopper FOOLISH enough to put up with the madness).

While shopping I also noticed ZERO evidence of any manager being present to help with the situation or any questions anyone might have.

Whoever is organizing this SNAFU needs to be made aware of the strong possibility a concerned citizen/shopper (not necessarily myself) WILL be in touch with the proper authorities from
Our local Board of Health.

I won't be shopping here again any time soon, and will be recommending others to avoid the Downtown Carrillo Street address,
(not just now but in the distant future)
which according to on site sources will not return to "normal" for a good 6-weeks or more!

FYI Your temporary workers on this
poorly-thought-out project continue to cluster,
3 and more st a time smoking their heads off in a zone right near the entrance which is
CLEARLY MARKED "No Smoking".

Shame on you directly responsible for this slipshod stunt (which this amounts to)
that you are pulling.

I am taking my business ELSEWHERE.
No amount of paint can clean up this ongoing
sad state of affairs.

Your cashiers are ALL very sound and helpful people and ALSO deserve much much better than this.

Make sure you don't have two debit or credit cards linked to Ralph's app. I made an online pick up order, and was charged twice on two cards that amount. i disputed it but in the end imy claim was recognized invalid. Very disappointed and will switch store when I move onto my new apartment

Today is 02/22/2024 @ 9:57pm I visited a Ralph's located on G street in San Diego california 92101 upon entering the Grocery store a security guard of whom I have never paid attention too as i turned from the shopping cart rack, there he was standing in front of the shopping cart I was going to use to shop with and I thought I was imagining his omissions then he said you know you are not supposed to come in here I looked at him and I what are you talking about I don't know you then he exclaimed oh I thought you were someone else your not him I wasn't mad per se I was surprised by the lack of training this security had so after I completed my shopping and was exiting the store he again confirmed how sorry he was and he explained that some guy had come in the store while he was not there and walked out the store with a shopping cart full of groceries I asked what did he have on said white shoes I wore Black, he said guy wore a Black hat my hat was Gray, so the only conclusion a jury would come to is one of stereotyping and the only Dinominator would be the color of my skin I would hope that this comment reaches the right authorities I will be checking back

I ordered groceries from Ralph's in the low desert of the Coachella Valley. I received notice that the shopper had begun shopping, but needed my approval for a couple of items and I responded appropriately. When my groceries didn't arrive I called the Ralph's on Washington Street in Bermuda Dunes. This was Tuesday morning, January 2nd. at approximately 9:30 a.m. I spoke with a female manager and explained I never received my groceries. She handled the call horribly and just kept telling me it was Instagram's fault and that she had no idea how to get ahold of them. I told her I ordered through Ralphs.com and therefore felt she should help me figure out where my groceries were... She said, and I quote, "You can always shop somewhere else." Wow! I replied..."You are so right...I can always shop somewhere else...Particularly with a store manager's attitude like that!"

On December 28th 2023 I went to the rouse store on 101G street, San Diego, California. To purchase some flowers and a birthday cake as it was my birthday. The following day, December 29th I asked the young lady for the strawberry cake with the strawberries on it. See told me that I had to. Go to the front and participate before. She was able to box it up and give it to me. I felt offended by that because I didn't understand she told me that that was store policy for the customer.
But then there was another lady that was before me that acts for. Update. And she was not told that so I went to the front ends. She printed out a ticket for me. I paid for the flowers and I scan the ticket that she gave me I. Returned back to the bakery and I asked. How come that a young lady? Didn't have to go and pay for her item. She told me that the young lady worked there. But if store policy that customers have to pay for the cakes before they are received. So upon returning home, I notice that my cake did not match. The ticket back she gave me.
Dictate that I that I purchase was a strawberry cake. Would strawberries on top? The ticket she gave me was a Shantelle arming cake ticket.
So I called the store. And the person that answered the phone said that the managers were too busy to take my call. So I asked the young lady. Should I call the corporate office? Since some managers were too busy to take my car, add to finally got me a manager on the phone. He proceeded to tell me that the bakery did not have. A ticket for the cake that I purchase. So they improvise and gave me a ticket. That was the same price to my cake bye. If a long to a different cake, my concern is the ticket that they gave me. Does not have the same ingredients as the cake that I purchase. I do not know the ingredients that are in the cake that are purchase. As I have guessed, that will be eating this cake. That may or may not have allergies, and we do not know none of the ingredients that are in this cake. He did, however, tell me it was a double layer of vanilla cake. That does nothing for me. I don't know what the ingredients are in this cake. And for Ralph's just say that. They do not have a ticket to place on the actual item. I'm substituted with a different ticket is Alex acceptable. I will be contacting corporate is Wallace. Everybody else that will listen to me. It's too many illnesses out here in too many people getting sick for me to accept this.

One store in Santa Monica and one on Olympic at Barrington in West LA: both stores were advertising Lean Cuisine single dinners at 4 for $10. The discounted prices were on the shelves under every item. At both stores I was charged $16, once at an automated machine and once with a human cashier.

In the West LAbstore, I went twice with store people to see the promotion offer on the shelves. One worker said it was not her problem. The other was a manager I was told. He spent about 5 minutes checking the items and saying two of the items were not eligible for the discount. I showed him where the items had been located and marked with 5 for $10.

He seemed to be on a mission to prove me wrong.
Finally he agreed on the refund. But he said because I said something "sharp" I would have to wait in line for a cashier. It took the cashier about 10 minutes to figure it out before giving me the refund.

No apologies from anyone involved.

$15 is 50% more than $10. Wonder how many other customers are being overcharged.

I had the worst shopping experience and customer service encounter at the Ralphs Market located at 305 W. Imperial Hwy. Brea, CA 92821. I was there today August 9, 2023 between the 3:00p.m. and 4:00p.m. I went there to cash a winning lottery ticket and spend the winning money on food for my family at that same store. The winning amount was $356.00 winner of a Fantasy Five Game. I wanted to cash the ticket and spend at least $300 on grocery items. I went to the customer service counter and the person that was there by the name of Dennis treated me very bad. She claimed to be the Manager which I doubt because no manager can be that rude and unprofessional in dealing with customers. She claimed she didn't have enough money to cash it and kept sending me from one register to the other and no cashier seemed to have any money to cash my ticket. Then she went to the back office somewhere hiding I guess. The three cashiers that didn't have the money kept paging and texting here but she still wouldn't respond or come out! Another person came in and said that she didn't have a code for the safe. Finally Dennis showed up with a road rage and bad temper. I would have left and gone elsewhere but because she had already ran that ticket through their lottery machine, so I was pretty much stock with them. She was even screaming at me and telling me her name out loud like she didn't care about anything. I live right across the street from that market and my family and I been shopping there for over 25 years. This has never happened to me before. I didn't buy anything due to the awful treatment that I received today, and I will never ever step a foot in that store again. Dennis, if you hate your job or you dislike people, then you better find a different career. I will spread the word out to all my neighbors, family and friends about the horrible experience I had today. It made me very uncomfortable and upset.

We went to a Ralphs store in Ontario 3075 S Archibald Ave. Managers name is Manuel and it's unbelievable when he told us that he cannot refund the item that we purchased from another Ralphs store because he said it will be a loss from his store.I cant believe how he became a manager with this very poor customer service. He said that they cannot issue refund for milk according to the return policy. We asked him to show us the return policy but he cannot provide anything.

Dear Sir,

My name is Sandra and I'm a loyal customer at Ralphs in La Jolla, San Diego.
I love the store and buy from there all the time.
Last year I bought a mixed nuts bag that I found out when eating from it that the expiry date of it was 6 months old, I returned it to the store and the manager refunded me the price of it.
Last week, I bought a processed turkey breast Oscar Mayer and then discovered after eating a piece that the expiry date was in March.
Yesterday July 10, I wanted to buy Sabra Hummus, I found discounted ones, then I looked at the expiry date to discover that the expiration of it was June 20. I asked for the manager and showed her the MANY expired Hummus packs, she took them out of the shelves and thanked me for pointing it out. No sorry about that and said nothing about the expired turkey breast I bought and would have been poisoned of it.

Ralphs should be a reputable company and not sell Many Wayyyyyy Expired food and poison people. Please advise what to do in this situation.

Thank you,
Sandra Acra

I waited in line for over an hour, at the Ralphs in Westlake Village, CA. They only had 2 (two) checkers and one (the line I was in) did not know what she was doing.
I asked to talk to manager but guess she was too busy because I waited another 10 min and left. She was in back if she was out front she would have seen the problem

Ralph's # 95 Sandra really bad customer services and she is the floor Manager there. She can't solved the problem and make me embarrassed in front of a lot of people. The system went down and wasn't my problem at all.

I went to Ralph's in Monterey Park Square around 12.00 pm .The system was down and the cashier was Sandra, she claim as Floor Manager at Ralph's # 95 , she announced with microphone that the system was down and they couldn't process my card. I didn't get anything and left. When I was inside the car Ian's checking my bank statement it's was showing the card been charged and processing amount of $37.22 so I went back and trying to explained it to her., she couldn't solve my problem and the others customer yelling of me and telling me to leave like I am the problem. I told her please let me talk to Manager and she said she is the Floor Manager there. It's so embarrassing for Ralph's that doesn't know how to choose good Manager that can solve the problem, she is not customers oriented., and she is rude! If she has problem solving skill she supposed to close the line and solves my problem first. I fel so embarrassed and wasting my time meanwhile I have toddler it's seem she wasn't appreciated my time. and business going to spend my in Ralph's.She supposed to get fire and choose better quality Manager with customer oriented and problem solving.

Hi
The customer service cashier at your fuel center on Manchester and Western is horrible
I am now leaving there and it's Sunday at 1230pm
This particular person that will not give her name is always rude, short, have an attitude, I told her about its Sunday it will be nice to have a pleasant person boy she went off. This is my 4th encounter with her and it's not nice. Either train your people for good customer service or get new help
When service people are pleasant and warm it really makes the customer feel good when they are rude I will never service that station again
Vons here I come

Taylor Fladgate port. Located in a general section of like products. No price tag. Charged $69.99 when the highest price anywhere else is $49.99

Disgusting gouging!

The deli at the store in orange is terrible. Every single time I try to get something from the counter I get ignored. The two girls working today let me stand there for several minutes while I patiently waited for one of them to pause their task to help me. They just kept chatting away as I stood there. One had time to stop and answer the phone, but has no time to help me. So I chose not to make a purchase today. One lady had short blond hair, and the other had long curly hair. I was planning to make a large order for an upcoming party, but I will take my business elsewhere due to this continued treatment.

There's always chaos at the registers, if you're lucky enough to get a physical cashier!! The lead cashier is rude to the customers, not customer friendly!! The store is a mess inside and out!! I will be be spending my money at Vons, across the street for a little higher prices, but organized and will ask if you need help!! Unlike Ralph's!!!

Ralphs downtown has locked their restrooms to the public. Not good! This may have been my last shopping trip there.

Ralphs Grocery Market. Trick's you out your money be careful. Look at the prices Ralphs will list soup for a $1.49 When you get to Register it's $2.49 then when you bring it to there attention They will tell you to Read the Fine print talking about some digital Coupons. For the item. I will No Longer Shop At Ralph's

Posted by john

I detest digital coupons. The checkout gal said not to worry, she would check it out at the digital coupon rate if I asked. The last gal at checkout refused to do so. Back went the shrimp. What an inconvenience. Did I say I hated digital coupons?

The store is always out of stock. I've seen rotten produce. The workers are always talking about hour many hours until they are finished. Most don't know store products too well.

Ralph's has no Customer Service either by phone, chat or email. Isn't that illegal. Ordered groceries online as usual and I pay $99 per year for same day delivery. Now they have something called Boost for $59 and then something else called Delivery Now. They were charging me for $9.95 for delivery. When I called, a woman I couldn't understand said I shouldn't be using the Ralph's app but Ralph's.com. I told her I used Ralph's.com before and after many problems, they said I should use the Ralph's app. Then she said I should be using the Kroger app. I wanted to know why I was being charged for delivery when I pay $99 a year. She said my "Boost membership" (which I don't have), expired in August. After an hour on phone and her NOT listening and driving me insane, I tried chatting. They said my $99 plan was renewed in June but couldn't take the $9.99 delivery fee off and then referred me to another "chat person" who said I never had a $99 plan and they didn't know what I was talking about. They're a mess! Everyone is overseas. No way to get help here. And now I read they have another delivery service they're starting but...you still have to pay for delivery??? I desperately need help and as a senior I feel challenged but two and a half hours out of my life trying to get help in countries that I can't understand them and they don't even know what I'm talking about and that in Los Angeles you order from Ralphs, not Kroger. INSANE!

La Quinta store: Having just returned to area from upstate NY I was surprised to see prices of everything at least doubled. Why? We filled our cart and cringed everytime we put something in it. To make matters worse they do the bait and switch. Have something on the shelf, clearly at 3.99, only to ring up 6.49. I am a watchful shopper, I take pictures of sale signs when they seem out of character for this store. After my product rang up wrong, I was told told it was a digital coupon, which the sale sign made no mention of, so it wasn't. Showed them the picture, and they went on a 5 minute search for the device to prove my picture wrong. Then one said give it to her for the sale price, followed by " you are gonna get away with it". I asked him to clarify. He just turned away, after saying just give her the sale price. I told them to forget it, I wasn't giving them anymore money, ever, and the as I was walking the rude, condescending cashier said, "good". I returned back to ask who I complained to, and he was talking about me to the next customer. He said I could talk to the manager at the next cashier, who witnessed the nastiness by his employees and did nothing. We won't be going back to any Ralphs. We are on a fixed income and the idea that they would trick customers who may just assume they ring up properly, only to find out later, they didn't. There should The prices are higher than the national average, and you get a dose of rudeness for all your money.

I have had an unresolved case with Ralph's customer service for over a month. I have called MANY times and all they say is that the case "was sent to the exectuive team..." Or, I am placed on hold for long periods of time. Well, this is URGENT and no one at customer service cares. I need assistance ASAP as the case involves my ability to go to my store (Hauser and Wilshire) to pick up my prescriptions. I need to be able to pick up my prescriptions without being HARRASSED by the manager, Anna. PLEASE HELP!

I came in today 9/5/2022 at 10:37am. I was going to ask the floral dept a question but the lady was not cooperative. I said hello, and she was not happy to say hello back. Is the floral a part of Ralphs that this is not the first time this has happened to me. She was not respectful. Please retrain your floral dept on how to approach Ralphs customers! I tried to call Ralphs Encino but it kept ringing for 10 minutes twice.

I went to the Ralphs on Ventura Blvd in Sherman Oaks, Ca today and received excellent service. April 14th I would have been my mothers 74th birthday. At the last moment, I decided my kids and I would celebrate with a cake. I specifically requested a white cake with butter creme icing but there weren't any. PG came to my rescue!!! He said, "If you have 10 minutes, I'll be happy to do it for you. And boy did he hook me up!!! The cake was beautifully made and absolutely delicious!!! And he was pleasant about it too... Thank you so much for hiring excellent people skilled at what they do and happy to do it. He was a joy!!! Both Wendy (who rang me up) and Janelle (I think that was the name of the girl who put my groceries in my cart) were a joy as well!!! It ended up being a great day at Ralphs and I enjoyed celebrating my mothers birthday. Thank you for being a part of my blessing!!!

I shop at the Ralph's in Anaheim Hills CA and have to say that Jessica, who works behind the counter in the deli which serves the best fried chicken, boar heads meat and salads in the world is the most friendly and efficient employee you have in your store. She always greets me with a smile, works quickly to make my shopping experience a A plus every time I enter the store. She is a keeper.

Cindy was very polite during my time in line and helped give me directions to where an item would be for future reference. Overall, wonderful experience!

I never thought that I would take the time to write a review. Many of these are negative, but I have to tell you that ANIT MARKEY at your store on Wilshire at Hauser is not only great at her job and willing to do whatever is needed to get something for you, but also she is so pleasant and just a lovely person. I do hope that this review reaches Anit so she knows what great service she provides. Some of your other employees might want to follow her lead. Thank you.
Sincerely - Curtis Kabat

From all the staff out of the whittier blvd and soreson store goes over and beyond in aiding all the time with all my handicaps. So very friendly and so helpful which makes it such a pleasure to shop evety week. I notice they extend this to all customers too. If there is any way they can be noticed that would be wonderful. They deserve it and more. I've been in lots of other Ralphs stores but this one stands out.

Ralph's Westwood, CA Store. With the new expansion I couldn't find the item I was looking for. I asked a clerk, who cheerfully took me directly to the item. I much appreciated his help as the store was full of shoppers and I would have had a hard time locating it. The ID of the person who helped me said "Jesse W".

I really only expect such service from expensive butcher shops! Kudos to Luis!

store location 2030 Lincoln Ave. Anaheim, Ca re: Cashiers Toni and Kellie. I had left the store without an item I could not find on the shelf. The cashier Toni came out to my car and said she thought she had found the item I needed. I went back inside the store and she had them at her station. Cashier Kellie checked me out at her register so I did not have to wait in a long line again. I appreciate their friendly and helpful service and both cashiers went out of her way to help me. Please give them an acknowledgement in their employee file. I will be going back to this Ralphs store because of their kindness to me. I will also be recommending this store to others to shop there. date and time of day was December 17, 2013 time around 3:15 to 3:34.

I work at ralphs store #648 in Burbank.I am supposed to do sedentary work only as my orthopedic doctor ordered.I was working as a cardboard compactor(ripper).I was working for the last two months as a greater which is what the doctor ordered. This morning the assistant manager (mike) very rudely and in an insulting tone of voice took the table and the chair and ordered me to do my shift standing up which is violating what the Ortho doctor said. I have multiple herniated discs and l4 and l5 lower back problems.the management at store 648 has knowledge of of my injury because all the reports from the doctor was given to them.I am a loyal employee ' I used to clean the meat department'the produce department 'the seafood department on top of operating the cardboard compactor. And now after the injury which happened while I was operating the cardboard compacter and the director of store 648 in Burbank called the ambulance to take me to the hospital.and now after all this hard work and dedication.I am insulted and management violated the doctors order.I would like for the administration front office to look into this matter and do me justice.
