Worst customer service ever. I have tried and tried and tried to get a phone number for the corporate office and nobody will give me the number. Rheem associates say they do not have a number yet they work for and are paid by Rheem. I'm dealing with smoke screens. There's number isn't even listed online anywhere. It's obviously time to contact an attorney.

Purchased a Rheem water heater at Home Depot In July, it was installed in October. This thing broke a little over a month after 6 year warranty ended. I call and was told to get an invoice from the plumber for the installation date, and that I could use that for the warranty. I then postpone appointment to get a new one installed, and go through the time and effort to get the 6 year old Invoice. Then after a lengthy call and transfer to a supervisor, they tell me I can't use the invoice THEY told me to get! They wasted my time and scheduled appointment date for today. It will now take days (without hot water) for me to get someone in here to install a new one. I can guarantee you, it won't be a Rheem.

I am replacing a 5 1/2 year old Rheem heat pump. They would not repair of replace the unit so I am out $10K+. They clearly do not stand by their product. Guess what brand I AM NOT buying?

We have a new built home in Washington state that we have not moved into yet. We had a Rheem 20seer heat pump installed April 2023. The A/C side has never worked. We have worked with a pro partner and the Rheem tech Kelly for over 2 months with no solution. We have had no contact since August 2nd despite multiple calls to the contractor/Rheem corporate/going through the contractor side of tech help and emailed corporate.receptionist. We have given sufficient time for a fix and would appreciate at least contact with someone of authority to rectify this situation.

I got a ream 40 gallon water heater installed through a company and I've had it for 11 months. It has been nothing but trouble I don't know if they hooked it up wrong. I don't know if it's a defect in the product but it shuts off at least once every month and I've had them over at least nine or 10 times to come and reset it only to have it do the same thing a month later. I don't know how many times I have told them I want a new water heater only for Shefchiks not to replace the water heater they put in my house. I have been going through chemotherapy for the last eight months and every time I want to go take a shower before my doctors appointments I can't this is totally disgusting and it is not right and nobody does anything about it except keep sending a number plumber over to keep doing the same thing that he did before and then it stops working. They took a 13 year old water heater out of my house because he insisted it had to be upgraded and I never had any problems with my other water heater and then I get this one in. It's one thing after another. There's no reason that I can't get a new water heater. Obviously this one is defective. They got their money they got paid now I'm sick and tired of not having any hot water and it always happens on the weekends so I go without hot water for three or four days and I am sick and tired of it. I would never recommend a Rheem water heater. How sad is it that the company put the water heater in and doesn't want to deal with it or give me a new one.

Less than a year old water heater and no hot water, pilot won't light. Call for warranty and they'll send part and arrange repair locally - in 2-4 days. I need hot water today. Told I can get part in 1-2 days if I pay expedite fee. Speak to supervisor after long hold and agrees to one-time waive of fee. If I want part today, I can check local suppliers and get reimbursed. They cannot tell me who has the part. This is just terrible customer service.

Bought a Rheem wh. It exploded down the seams. Rheem warrantied the unit but refused to pay damages.
I was told to return the unit under warranty and they refuse to acknowledge the water damage. Now I have to go through my insurance company. This is not acceptable. Very bad product and worse customer service.

Bought tankless water heater for 1 bedroom home. From very start it would not maintain hot water for 30 seconds at even one sink and for some reason caused feedback in radio while it was running Customer support was supposed to send parts to fix it but did not. When I called back they said it had been too long and they wouldn't send them. Had to buy new control board and thermo sensors. Seems better now except it says my water flow is too high (just running kitchen sink) had to cut water pressure down. Complete nightmare from start to finish. When it goes out I'll be going back to a tank or at least a different company.

Said they would send me a voucher for repairs but did not

I am trying to register my new air conditioning unit but the form will not accept my numbers.

I have tried to get someone on the phone but none of the numbers I found are working.

I'm contacting you to tell you about how I feel about Rheem's quality products. Your water heaters are exceptional and why I have always used Rheem products. I just removed the original water heater that was still working, in my grandparents 1944 cottage. I was wondering if you would be interested in having it, not sure what is the earliest one that was made, but like I said it was still in working order and may be one of the original models and might be nice for nostalgia or a great marketing tool.

On March 10-2023 I purchased a new Lp.Gas Boiler from Kuroda in Mazatlan Sinaloa México.
I had the unit installed on on March-15 2023,after completing the installation the igniter would not light the burner.
After several attempts to activate the boiler,I contacted the customer service phone number to report the problem.
That was done on March-16-2023 as I was unable to get someone on March-15.
On March-16 I was informed by the customer service department that a service technician from Rheem would be in touch with me between 48-72 hours to deal with the problem.
It has been almost a Week and still nothing from the Company OO!
I would Very Strongly advise anyone buying a Lp.gas boiler to stay we'll away from any Rheem products!!
Customer service and Support is a total waste of time!
Don't waste your time or Money!!

Do not putchase Rheem hot water heaters. Purchased top of the line hot water heater Feb 2022, in March 2022 it needed a new control board. I am no longer getting any hot water at all and when i called their support line the associate told me " yeah it sucks and spread the word". They do not even believe in their product! $500 gor a giant paper weight

In mid-February 2023 my heat pump was not working properly. Heat pump is 5 years old. I turned it off and called HVAC the next day and they came and fixed it. One copper-like tube had broken and the Freon leaked out. My warranty covered the part but they told me not the Freon. The bill was over $700 and over $500 was for Freon. My complaint is - since the part broke and made the Freon leak out - I believe I should not have to pay for Freon because of the inferior part in heat pump.

I had an electric 40 gallon rheem for 15 years. When it went out 2 years ago I spent extra money to get a tankless one and I learned that it needed ALOT of maintenence to the filters and frequent element changes. The unit started spraying water from one of the elements so I went to change it and found it wouldn't come out. I now have to replace the entire unit.I was a useless product.

I had a RHEEM tank for 15 years, until it died. I was forced to by another RHEEM 5 years after it's installed the tank doesn't work. They insist it's electrical since I was asked ONE question & did not have a multi reader with me. So much for their 10 year warranty! Haha this company is a JOKE!

This company is horrible. The Rheem water heater breaks often and the customer service is even worse! Sitting on hold for at minimum of an hour to talk to someone every time something breaks is ridiculous. Researching for the correct part is impossible without talking to one of their customer service reps. Plumbing companies despise the manufacturer and now I know why. If you like having hot water and want a company that answers your call, DON'T BUY RHEEM! Home Depot should not carry their product especially when Home Depot can't carry or stock the parts to fix this POS of a product. I love Home Depot but they could do better here.

I recently installed a 50 gallon XG50T09EN38U1 water heater only to find out that the sacrificial anode had a slow leak at the top of the tank that was not immediately noticed. The water heater is installed in the furnace room in our basement and is not easy to get in or out of its location. I tried tightening the anode thinking that it was just loose. The leak slowed, but would not stop. I turned off the water and drained some water out of the tank so I could unscrew and raise the anode enough to inspect the threads. Bright blue sealing compound was present on the threads but it was water soluble and not adequate to seal. I cleaned off the compound and used Teflon tape to seal the threads which stopped the leak. I measured the resistance between the anode and the tank and it was 0.1 ohms indicating the Teflon tape had not insulated the anode. I think all is well but it was very frustrating to have to take an extra hour to complete the installation. I spent a thousand dollars for the water heater which is not insignificant. I am impressed with the warranty but hope I never have to use it. I am questioning the sealing compound since it appears to be water soluble. Either it needs to seal and harden before water is introduced, or there was insufficient sealer applied to the threads on my anode.

I mistakingly thought Rheem was a good brand name, but, now, I wouldn't take a Rheem water heater if it were free! Rheem should not call their warranty department customer service or anything near that! They have NO idea what customer service is! Waranty service on a two month old water heater takes a week to get a part, then you have to get a technician and pray that they sent you the correct part. There are no really technical support people at the other end of your phone call to Rheem!

I have 5 HVAC systems In my home. Two of my systems are Rheem. Both units are not reliable and parts are hard to get. I've been 7 days so far, waiting on parts for my heat pump, meanwhile my aux heat is also inop, did you notice the date? It's December without heat! Im working with a HVAC contractor who is a Rheem technician. This is totally unacceptable!

Rheem Canada has absolutely the worst customer Service (non-existent comes to mind)
Our 1 year old Rheem Marathon 105 liter hot water tank (lifetime warranty) started leaking. Now after 6 hours on the phone, being mistakenly patched thru to customer service USA twice and then finally getting a warranty confirmation number from Rheem Canada, it is up to us to drive out to Home Depot for a replacement tank for which we have to lay out ($2,000.00) and then hope upon hope Rheem Canada will reimburse us.
Why should it be up to us to do any of this why can't Rheem Canada get this tank delivered to us at our home for our plumber to install? Why on earth do we have to jump through all these hoops. We bought this "LIFETIME" warranty tank hoping never to have to go through having to replace a hot water tank again. Not a hope.
Note to the CEO of Rheem Canada - get your act togetter and get your customer service dept to DO their JOB. SERVE the CUSTOMER because without customers your company goes down the toilet, in otherwords without customers you are NOTHING!!!

I'm a retired contractor. 25 years doing everything but block work. Always volunteer and people get in touch if they know someone that needs help. Always ready to help someone that genuine needs help. My father in law has a care giver. Single Mom and her Mother live in a house they are buying under land contract. A lot of hard luck has left them from pay to pay. When I found out their water heater leaked to the point it wouldn't relight I jumped in to help. Allen Adams has been prompt and professional and you can tell he cares about his customers. I hope you have others like Allen because he is a gem. A great example of how customer service should be! Thank You Allen Adams!. ps bought my first Rheem water heater a couple years back and it completely outperforms any water heater I have ever had. And at 61 I've had quite a few. Will always be a loyal customer and I tell everyone about the heater and will about the customer service.

You people are all wrong. What you dont get is that rheem manufactures components for hvac systems. The hack that you hired is the one who built your "system" theses systems are not refrigerators that you roll up and plug in. They are built on site at your home. Next time research the company you are hiring to build your system, not one of the companies who makes one of the parts in YOUR hvac system in YOUR HOME. people get bids and go with the cheapest or a particular brand are misinformed and should shop professionals who outline terms clearly. You are buying the company who puts in your system, not the brand condenser they use. Next time, dont call rheem, call the "reputable" company you hired to build your SYSTEM
