I don't know how often people request customer service from companies regarding equipment/devices that aren't from that company so with that in mind I won't knock them for that, but after explaining in detail with the specific naming conventions of each device customer service requests pictures of the device because they apparently can not comprehend what their small catalogue of devices consists of. I ended the chat early because it was clearly going nowhere.

I use Roku to access the Lindell TV app. My frustration is every 2-3 minutes the broadcast shuts down requiring to log back on. This only occurs when watching Lindell TV. Frustrated!!!!

I use the Roku app to watch "Lindell TV" in the evenings. My frustration is about every 2-3 minutes the broadcast disconnects and requires my to log back on. I don't have this issue with other apps only Lindell TV. FRUSTRATED!!!

I purchased a app it worked great the first month, after that it keep cutting in and out. Look about said I could cancel the app but would not get back my money. I pated almost $100 for this rip off. After reading complaints from other people having the same problem it seems as if Roku is aware about the problems with the Frndly but Roku still offer this account. When you cancel Frudly Roku refuses to give your money back. I read that they will not allow this to go to attorney. Will guess what I think it time to do what is necessary (maybe a class action suit)

I'm going to say this one last time stop with the commercials I'm getting sick of these commercials you don't need to stop showing commercial so much or I'm going to stop watching y'alls Roku Channel TV because I'm sick of y'all's commercials you don't have to cut down on darn commercials I get so sick of them I can't even watch a show or a movie without commercials coming on every 5 to 10 minutes it's making me sick so you either cut down on your commercials or I'm just going to stop watching Roku Channel and I'm being serious I'm not joking stop showing the commercials

Please, please fire you advertising executive, I have been torchered me you constantly relentless weird al yankovic and series of the same commercials every single day, on every single commercial break and for many months now, don't you know how to make newer commercials at least once a month?, why harass your customers?
I really want to find a different channel now and drop your channels.

I was reaching for Broadway HD and came across a movie called Black Emperor of Broadway. I was curious. Then repulsed. 2 characters verre in "black face". I truly feel this movie has no place on Roku. It is derogatory. Black face was still being used in 1979 in London. Please consider removing this and anything like it.

Purchased a fight through roku, unknown to me, roku enrolled me in a subscription where they keep drawing money from my account. What a scam! Their customer service to question or dispute charges is non existent! They need a class action lawsuit immediately! I've disputed and reported these charges to my institution and awaiting the outcome. Shame on Roku for scamming people like this!

Roku is the biggest piece of crap I have ever owned...I have the element roku tv...so sad element was a great tv made in america I have several of them but after this crap, I will never buy another element tv again...if you are considering buying roku, don't ...run run run...from the aggressive platform with tons of glitches pure crap...every time they do an update to fix the previous problems that arose with the previous update you just end up with new issues...just crap...so for a while now I cannot see local programming schedule if the tv is connected to the internet...????...yup...so now with the last update I cant even see my local channels only roku's channel 115...so I re-scanned for over the air channels and as usual every channel roku has is now on my feed again...(this happens anytime you scan for over the air...roku forces you to spend the next 30 minutes un-checking hundreds of channels you don't want nor asked for) so just to see I blocked roku tv at my router and like magic when the internet disconnects the local over the channels can be accessed and have the programming schedule...so they fixed the problem with the over the air channels by making them completely inaccessible if you are connected to the internet....so now the only way I can watch local over the air is to disconnect the internet....just garbage...pure garbage.

I just purchased Roku Express 4K+ and installed it using the Quick Start Guide. But something is not connecting - I did everything I could think of to troubleshoot. Roku is no longer providing phone support. I couldn't connect with Chat either, couldn't create password. I'm sure it's something simple they could answer. I have no respect for companies that brag about their support and then provide none. Their support in the past was fine. I'm returning it and will not recommend.

I have called Roku every month to get my subscription changed to the first every month I get help by the customer service how to be how to do this but it doesn't ever work they still shut me off on the 27th regardless of what I do they suck

Roku is a POS, period. I have a Roku TV but after 2 years, I'm now unable to stream anything from the Roku channel. I just get a black screen. Streaming from the mobile app is broke, too. Only receiving playback error messages. Customer support is nice but still can't get the channel to work after a week. It sounds like they banned my account or blocked my IP address but I can't image for what reason. The Roku channel is free. Just stay away from their products and services. It's garbage.

Roku has been charging my bank account twice for a channel that I already have for two years. I purchased Britbox in 2021, here it is 2023 and they say that they will only credit me for two months. Roku has very bad business service to double charge a customer and not refund the money.

I'm tired of it having commercials and stuff like that I wanted to be commercial free so we can watch the shows without no commercials or interruptions so it needs to stop having so many commercials and just show them the movie that's what I want to complain about I'm tired of it stop having somebody commercials in the show the picture that's what I want to comment on and that's when I am commenting on it needs to stop having so many commercials and this show the picture nobody's paying Roku channel to have so many commercials we're paying to show the movies and not commercials so y'all need to work on that

Purchased a Roku ultra two months ago. Unit stop working after one month. I've been chatting back-and-forth with customer support for three weeks now and still the issue has not been resolved. every time I tried to contact them it's always with somebody from India, which I cannot understand and they don't understand how to talk English. I have requested to speak to somebody in America that speaks English and they transfer me to somebody else in India, which I still cannot understand. The half dozen times that I've chatted allI I am requesting is a replacement and I'll send the piece of junk I have been back and they keep telling me 3 to 5 days every time 3 to 5 days but yet nothing happens. I can say that chatting with Roku support sucks. Would I ever buy another Roku product no way at this point I am getting ready to contact the states attorney's office to file a report against Roku, and I will probably file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau

I would like to put the people in charge of the commercials on Roku in a room and make them watch the same 4 commercials over and over like we have to until they are driven mad and figure out they need variety. Its almost inhuman.

Roku has the worst customer support. They do not have a support number to call/their web site ( so called self help sucks) and I wonder why this company has so far not been pulled into a law suit for cheating multiple customers on streaming services.

Roku runs the same obnoxious commercials for its own service and door dash every 5 minutes. Ridiculous. Roku also tricks people into signing up for channels without consciously doing so, and fails to send a confirmation email. They are stealing huge sums of money from their viewers doing such and should be subject to a class action lawsuit for recovery.

By far, this is the worst service support I have ever had, and I have dealt with some pretty bad support. All I needed to do was switch my PBS from DC to my new home in Melbourne. I could not do that online, so I want to Roku, to change account, and then reload. Short story, I ended up in India support, who changed by passport, and did not help at all.

I could not log on to my account, as that password did not work, not did my old one. I tried three times to use the forget password function and nothing. I call the 816 number but they are only taking money issues, what a surprise. How do I get help?

I haven't had many issues with my Roku TV, except that more frequently now, the sound will not work and I'll have to wait for it to magically come back on. I have tried everything possible and have found no explanation. Not making me want to purchase another Roku ever in my life

I subscribed to a free 7 days subscription of Fubo through Roku. It was clear on the Fubo site that my free service would be automatically terminated at the end of the 7 days trial period (I had no intention to pay for further Fubo service). Then on the day after the end date of my free trial, I found that Fubo charged my visa $78.99 for monthly service !! When I finally got hold of the Fubo customers service, they told me that I needed to have an on-line chat with JustAnswer to resolve my charging issue. It would cost me $1 for the chat which is refundable. I spent close to an hour with the JustAnswer agent and he was not able to resolve my charging issues. The agent said I had to talk to the Roku customers service. I asked for the Roku phone number which JustAnswer was able to provide to me. I thought that would be it for my interactions with JustAnswer. Then I checked my visa account and found that JustAnswer put a charge of $46 on my visa for no reason. I talked to an agent from JustAnswer again. She informed me that for any successful resolution of issues (which was NOT the case for my situation), they would automatically enroll me in their membership program and charge me $46 without my consent !! After talking on the phone with the JustAnswer agent, they finally agreed to reimburse me the $46. But this is an absolutely unethical business practice. I think Roku being a very respectable company should not recommend, or have Fubo recommend its clients to deal with JustAnswer!!

As for the Fubo $78.99 charge, the Roku agent was able to successfully reimburse the money back to me.

The bottom line is, JustAnswer is an unethical company and reflects badly on Roku's solid reputation. It fact JustAnswer has the appearance of a scam company. Roku or Fubo should not continue to recommend its clients to deal with JustAnswer.

But I Really Want To Tell You How Disgusted I Am That You Allow "swimming With Sharks" To Be Included In Your Lineup. It Is Pornographic Like A Lot Of Other Things You Have On Your Lineup. But This One Is Particularly Vulgar And Will Send A Lot Of People To Hell If They Watch It.

My customer advocate Rochelle was very knowledgeable in the questions that I asked her concerning my Roku. I am very pleased with the pleasantness and the time that she took to explain the answers I had concerning my device. On a scale of 1 to 10 I will give her a 10 Roku needs more customer advocates like her.

I have called customer service 2 times since buying my ROKU 3. The level of service was for unexpected and surprising. The customer service representative was very helpful, friendly and understanding. I am not tech savvy and the customer service rep explained how my ROKU 3 worked and how to understand the features and benefits of the product. The customer service representative provided me great service that was very friendly and supportive. Great product, great company.

I accidentally disconnected myself before getting to thank Clarissa and do the review. She was absolutely FANTASTIC. Earlier this week another of the CS reps attempted to help me by sending me a new remote, and when that one didn't work I contacted Roku again. This time Clarissa responded and after some searching she was able to fix my problem. She is to be commended for her abilities and for her patience and knowledge.

I had a problem trying to hook up Roku to my TV. I called in to Roku help line and got a gentleman by the name of Subu Hani. He was very helpful and to by disbelief the most patience person that I have ever spoken too. He stayed with me on the phone until and I mean until my issues with the Roku was solved. He was very easy to talk to and I did not feel like an idiot. He made me feel like no question was ridiculous and I felt at ease and very comfortable. I wish there were more decent technical support people in the world who are courteous and kind like the experience that I had with the help of Subu Hani.

I was having problems with my Roku stick after a power outage that lasted for 17 hours. I went on the Roku chat line and chatted with Arwin, he was great, very knowledgeable and amazing patience..he kept saying that's okay take your time. Great service guys, keep up the good work!!!!

We would like for you to know that we truly appreciated the kindness and professionalism shown by 'Exefril" when we called regarding assistance with our Roku. We will never forget the patience he displayed as well. I mean he was 'truly" patient with us as he helped us get connected to services. You never heard any irritation in his voice as he calmly worked with us. We were truly happy that we got him on the other end. If only you could "con" him:) If we ever have to call again I HOPE he is the one on the other end again.

Bought Roku Stick and attempted install for 6+ hours, with telephone support, trying to set the security code to accommodate a Brothers WiFi Printer. Note the universal security code supported the Roku Stick but not the Brothers WiFi Printer. Returned the Stick and bought the Roku 2 and it worked. Apparently Roku needs to update the firmware on the stick.

Roku: 1)No one said anything about needing a credit card to get started. 2)This was not easy to start up the Roku2. Grandma is never going to understand how to start. 3)Never metion that you have to add each individual channel to your line-up of channels. I had to call support for a little help. 4)There are good channels free but on most you have to watch commercials, ha. Also the cleverly written intros to the paid channels, you got to read carefully, or your credit card is going to get charged, be careful. Learning more everyday how to use Roku. Overall so far, 4 days, I would still purchased this Roku.

I am thrilled with the Roku. Bought it because I just can't justify the cost of cable. I've had my eye on it since it was over $200, for $49 I am just incredibly pleased. I don't have the most consistent wireless connection, it comes in from outside my blg (share with a friend across the street), I've had very rare instances of it having to buffer. I got the very basic Roku and among other things that please me completely is the FREE access to Pandora- streaming that over my TV and being able to choose my music preferences with great flexibility is so cool!!! I haven't had to access customer support at all, between the good information on their site, and info just out their on tech sites, questions are quick and easy to answer. Setup on the Roku, setting up stations etc is a breeze. Totally thumbs up on this one. If you are fed up with the cost of cable, and are willing to be flexible, GET THIS, and Netflix,Huluplus for $16 a month- enormous choices!

ROKU is by far the worst electronic product I've ever purchased!!!! i have FOUR damaged ROKUs at home all damaged last year!!!! IT NEVER HAPPERENED TO ANY OF MY ELECTRONIC PRODUCT I EVER PURCHASED. Is there anyone that has ROKU that lasted more than 5 or 6 months????

After long thought, I decided to purchase a Roku box.My intention was to then sign up as a Netflix member. I have to say that I received excellent customer service.As a new Roku owner, you must list your credit card info with the company ( in case you order a premium service) After telling the rep. that I no longer use credit cards, he was very helpful letting me sign on without this info. Also he was very patient walking me through the setup. Maybe I was the exception, but I love the new box and received great service. I would recommend!
