I returned item with receipt on 12/27/23. Clearly stated it would be credited to my VISA card. Ross shows charge but does not show credit to my card.

I frequently shop your Jefferson City Missouri location but the store has been so trashed lately I just walk through and leave now. It is just an absolute disaster. I tried to go down the pet aisle but there was so much stuff on the floor I couldn't even get down the aisle. It looks like the associates just dump things wherever they feel like it. So disappointing. I don't think anyone ever straightens because I have went in there and there will be things from other departments in the wrong department and weeks later it is still there.

Just want to let you know this shopper won't be spending at Ross .. I was at the Miami location on 120th ( London Square Mall ) . Cashier was ringing up one customer so I went through the self check out . Paid . Went for a bag to place my purchases in and was told by the cashier whom now had a line of four customers I would have to wait in line so she could check my self service purchases ! Well I did wait in line and I returned all my selections . Meanwhile other store employees were just standing around .. this consumer would prefer to pay more to be treated as a consumer would desire .

Last night, Saturday Aug 9, 2023 I was shopping at a Ross store in Chandler AZ (#0489) with my daughter and granddaughter-in-law and all was good until it came time to checkout. We were being checked out by NOAH. We could tell he had an attitude the way he was handling the clothes, practically ripping the security tags off of them and wadding the clothes and putting them in a bag. I asked him. "ARE YOU HAVING A BAD DAY", and he replied "YES" and then I asked why and he just gave me a smirk. He never greeted us or smiled and just generally didn't seem pleasant. I was willing to let his attitude go but when we grabbed our last bags to walk out he mumbled in a low voice and looked at granddaughter-in-law and said, "I hope you f#$k&g fall" in Spanish. We were already at the car when she told me what he said. I didn't hear him say it but I felt the need to let mgmnt know.
and when I brought it up the mgr., Maria, she even had a smirk on her face and said she'll have a talk with him. We found on another social media website a review about this same person. Why does he still work at Ross? He was probably about 17 yrs old. baggy pants and sort of a bowl haircut, curly hair. I don't feel the baggy pants were appropriate. It was obvious he didn't like his job or working with ppl, he was downright rude and he said he doesn't even speak Spanish and my daughter told him you don't have to speak Spanish in order to know some words. The mgr, Maria said Noah doesn't speak Spanish. The kid seemed to be Mexican and I trust if my granddaughter-in-law said he looked at her and said those words I believe her.

I have written in Corporate and that is about it. I feel concerned because they recorded my minor child and someone else's minor child so my child begins to record. I do want you to know the threatening I am putting his hand in my face. I am swearing, cursing it was a bit much I feel threatened for my life and my safety they then Followed us out to our vehicle as well. It had gotten out of hand. This needs to be addressed ASAP. A lady who seeing what happened and stopped me and told me that I should've purchased anything that no one with me miss treat her and I still support them. She's right so tomorrow I'm returning everything I bought five pair of pants and a T-shirt. By the way one of the T-shirts was only 699. I was charge 999 and that's with all that story and then the bottom of the clothes up but not want to see the management apologize for their behavior or hers.

I had a horrible experience today with a manager, if that can be called such a disastrous person, my mom only speaks Spanish and she was asking her where she can go to the bathroom and she just made fun of her, insisting that she can't understand her and that Mexicans We must be in Mexico, it seems to me tremendous racism and since this is a serious store we will take other measures to follow her attitude is unacceptable and I read her name very clearly rae... I hope the store manager does something about it. the store is in perris california.

What a huge MESS. I have never seen such a huge mess in all my life. There don't seem to be very many people working, the line goes all the way to the back of the store. There is almost more merchandise on the floor than on the fixtures! I walked out with out buying anything.

Kathy at the Ross Dress for Less at 151 is VERY RUDE! I asked when the 10% day was and I heard today! I turned around to tell my daughter I would save 10% today. She said that's was yesterday....I asked oh what is today her response rudely was NOTHING. I said oh I thought you said it was today. Her response NO I DIDN'T! Ok I'm sorry that I had just purchased over 130.00 dollars and asked for. 3 shirts put in another bags because those were for my daughter the rest was for me....I'm sorry you were in a bad mood. The two store in Philadelphia need to fix there air systems, there clothes smell stale, and if people are retuning clothes and bedding it should be return in the clearance section, most people wear and use the item then wash and returning them, I am tried of buying smelling clothes at new prices,

How do you expect to make any sales if people dump their goods rather than put up wit a 20 min checkout!!! Sat 1:05 pm Idaho Falls store.

Hello, I want to file a complaint about a very Rude manger that was very unprofessional toward an employee that works in her store. I couldn't believe my eyes embarrassing that young lady in front of a line of customers. It was clear to me the young lady was humiliated and the store manger didn't think to be mindful and respectful setting an example with some type of dignity about her authority. I'm telling you the truth I'm very disappointed at that type of behavior in a department store with people coming in and out the store. This incident happened at the store in Monroe, LA approximately after 6:00 I feel that management should be better trained in certain incidence because that situation could have gotten out of hand the way the manger handled that young lady . Personally I feel she could have taken her to the back and talk to her that convinced me that she doesn't have respect for her employees.

I was at the Austell Rd GA Ross store on today and the lack of consideration for the customers was atrocious. There was a line at checkout of 26 customers (I counted) and ONLY one register open. There was one person at customer service processing returns. There were at least 5 other employees walking around the store putting clothes back on the racks and the manager was walking around observing the checkout line but not once made any attempts to call additional staff to help checkout customers. This is not the first time I have been in this Ross and the line was long. On the other occasions I just turned around and walked out without making a purchase. I have been in customer service for over 25 years and this is not acceptable. Please treat your customers with the level of consideration for their time as you would like. I worked for Ross years ago and the quality of service has definitely changed. It is up to management to make improvements. Please step up to the challenge. Please note: Kudos to the young lady at checkout she was very nice and professional.

Very rude manager at Crystal Lake store in Illinois. Very long line, cashier doing all the work. Cashier was polite and friendly. The manager did nothing to help alleviate the line. He was called over to help with my return and rudely told me he is absolutely not accepting the return. He told me I could leave the store when I questioned why I couldn't return shoes that were breaking when I had bought them 5 days ago. I had a receipt to prove purchase. I will never go back. I wish I had the cashier's name so I could put a good work in for him.

The only problem I have with Ross is the stupid security tags leaving holes in everything after they are taken off. Stop putting them through thin material items and leaving holes. The dress I got that I love has one that is noticeable and I have to decide if I'm going to keep it or not. Stop putting holed in the clothes. Those tags are doing nothing but causing damage to the clothes.

I was told I could not enter the store cause they believed I was somebody that had previously been told to leave the store. I camly told the lady that she must have me mistaken cause I had never been to this store in the past. She began to get loud and aggressive as she demanded me to leave threatening to call the police.again camly told her that wouldn't be necessary and that she had me mistaken but that I'd leave. She and the security guard that is positioned at the entrance began to try and ridicule me with comments about my appearance while also adding the assumtion I was a drug addict . It was so disrespectful and degrading and also unprofessional while so unessesary. If you are going to make us stand outside and wait then you should have a better way of making sure you have the correct identity for the person you say isn't welcome inside. You should have a better system . And better employees. Train them so they are not the one escelating situations and instead have the know how and level head to deescalate and understand exactly what the situation is.. I won't be shopping at Ross for a long time. This was at the California location on potreo and 16th.

I was waiting in the line to call for purchase .the manager or supervisor was so rude to her employee.she yelled on her because customer said something to her.it was customer fault. I wish that girl in hijab should complaint to hr . as a manager or supervisor she has no right to yell on employees even if they did something wrong ,as they also human beings but it was not her fault.she fatty manager or supervisor was really rude. I wanted to talk her but I did not want look at her face even.who does not know how to treat her employees.

I do not have any good comments on Ross Store for less in Idaho falls. The cashier didn't know how to scan the codes so she was surging me double price for a woman suit.She said they were two items seperate . I said no is one price. The Cashier ordered me to wear the outfit infront of every body to prove it was one piece. She then continued to remove the tugs and I got frustrated and ask her to call the manager . Things excallated when the Manger came and told me if I talk he is going to order me leave the store. Things got worse to and from exchange of words trying to prove I wasn't trying to get one item fo free. Calling me a thief in a different wording. The manager didn't solve my problems he made things worse and got me very mad and frustrated. I asked them to call the police to settle the matter if they keep silencing me. Later I kept quiet. Manager told me he will give me 10% discount for inconvenience and I didn't see any 10% appearing on my receipts. That's another bad thing I need to be explained about the 10% so I can understand how it works . Everything I bought today in that store was 10% discounted. I need another manager in the Co- oporate office to interview on this matter. Never seen a customer been told to dress in front of other customers. I should have been taken to the dressing room. Yours frustrated customer.

I'm a designer in Nashville, yesterday I was returning some items and somehow was missing my receipt which were on my clients card. The store manager at Cool Springs, GENNY, was more than helpful. She took the SKU #s and went back and by computer (I guess) reprinted my original receipt, cheerfully credited my clients card in the kindest of manner! I didn't want to confess to my client I had misplaced the receipt, thus not being able to get her refund. Granny saved me that experience and I wanted to give her my appreciation by this positive report. I will continue to shop Ross for a multitude of home furnishing items!! Oh I almost forgot, it was the tail end of tax free weekend and tho things had slowed a bit, I know she had been crazy busy for3 days and could have used a break, instead she went above and beyond, making me one satisfied customer!! At your Cherrydale store ,I complained to associate in restroom about condition,asked if I should report to manager she said no,they would take care of,she took care of it,I decided to call and component her when I found out she was the manager,I was impressed that she did not make that known to me while was there and she cleaned it herself .Thankyou,she's a fine manager

My boyfriend and I were both unemployed and he really needed a hair cut to help find a job. After misplacing his trimmers we went to Ross on Little York and 59 in northeast Houston. We found some for $14.99+ tax.
Later on we decided to look one more time and found ours. The very next day, less than 24 hours after purchasing the trimmers at Ross, I went in with the unopened package and receipt to return the item.
The associate told me that since they are electric they count as electronics and are not returnable.
I asked her where on the receipt it says that, and she read it and realized it does not say anywhere that electronics are final sale. Her explanation was that it is a new policy, so it's not i the receipt yet.
I told her that since it's not there I should get my money back. She told another cashier about the issue who also looked for the alleged policy on the receipt and couldn't find it, and said that it's a new policy.
I asked for the number to corporate, and told them it is ridiculous that I'm going to have to call corporate to get money back for a $14.99 item that is unopened and has the receipt and was purchased less than 24 hours ago but they wouldn't budge.

I went to my car and called customer service and spoke to an employee named Paige, who was a BIG HELP!! I explained my situation, the lack of a printed policy, etc. She called the store for me and I was able to go back in and get my refund.

Thank you so much, Paige, for helping me out and doing the right thing.

I've worked in retail management for years and I would never do to one if my customers what the Ross employees did to me, but I am so glad that customer service at corporate helped me resolve the issue.

Because of this I will continue to shop at Ross.

This store has lost a GREAT manager.This store want be in good standing with all ethnic backgrounds I do believe you will loose some high-ended shoppers at this location .This location already experiencing uncleaniness among other things this new manager can't never fill Mr Gerald shoes and definitely not the assistant manager.Should I rally a petition to get him back or shop some where? This store is headed like your sister store D D's. The store # 1220 in Tampa Fl. E.Hillsborough Ave.Don't know what happen but please try and save your store at this location by BRINGING MR GERALD BACK.PLEASE!!!

Recently at work I talk to a person regarding losses that I have caused to the company He than made me sign a paper stating that I will pay back $175 dollars That I caused the company in losses, He proceeded to ask if I can pay back the losses I cause the company. However I comply signed the paper and Also wrote about what we talked about that day and signed too. After that He left the office so I asked my manager for copies of those papers and they said they couldnt give me any because the case was still open.Never did I once said I stole anything I did said that I problaby made a mistake or probably got confused obviouslty I am not going to steal stuff When I have been workin at Ross for almost 4 years now. People make mistakes all the time. They told me I was going to be put on paid leave until the investigation is complete and I was going to receive a call back telling me when I could be back at work. So on Friday I left early from work and I never heard anything back from them until right now Tuesday a voice mail from the assitance manager saying that "I could go pick up my last pay". Until right now I have no idea what is goin on with the investagation but I guess the outcome of it is me getting terminated from work throught a voice mail. It took me by surprice that I was fired theough a voice mail without any reason unless she was planning on telling me why when I go get the check. I guess it was fun working at Ross while it lasted being Frond End Supervisor was nice! It was not nice getting terminated just like that for a mistake

I am another Ross employee that explain some issues stated here.
1. if you try to return any item over a year in original condition with tags and receipt, we can take it back. If you do not have the tags, it may be hard for us the verify the item on the receipt. If you try to return it without the receipt, the product will no longer be in our system because the product is too old.
2. If you bought a pair of shoes still in original condition and lost your tag, bring the receipt and try to find a replica of the same shoes( Size does not matter). The reason for this is because sometimes on some products the product description is not always accurate on the product. This is something that the employees in Ross stores have no control over, it is sent to us like that.
3. Credit card/debit card refunds depend on your bank. It can take up to five business days.
4. If you buy an item and want to return that same item in 24 hours, then we are required to ask for I.D. This is not as an insult to anyone, it's just company policy. If you have an issue with this, please return the item(s) after 24 hours and before 30 days and we will not ask you for an I.D (Unless you lose you receipt.)
5. If the dress looks obviously used and worn, we will not take the item back. We WILL take back products that have a manufacturer's defect, OR if an item is in original condition. We can't take back a dress after you've had your fun with it because we can't sell it again. In terms of business, the company would lose money if we operated that way and the company would soon fall. This is why it is recommended that you try on your outfits (or even at home) and bring them back ASAP in original condition with receipt and tags attached in order to get back your original form of payment.
6. ANY item you return, it is important to always keep track of your receipt and the price tag. If you return something without a receipt, it is automatic store credit, Ross employees at the store have no say over this. If you try to return an item without the tag but with a receipt, then we have to check the description. If the description is clear and it's obviously that product, then we will return it. If not, we will need to see a replica of that item from within our store.
7. The lines can be long. If an employee works in customer service and there is only one other cashier, that customer service employee typically goes back and forth between returns and purchases. Some stores are a bit different, but most are pretty fair about it.
8. We do not give you cash back for debit card returns. The exception to this is if you pay with a check. You will get back how you paid for it originally (Given you have the receipt and tags in original condition). We have no say over this process.
9. If you have two cards that are linked to the same account, you can return it using the other card that is linked.
10. @Deanna James; You have to get it back how you paid for it. You paid using a debit card, so it has to go back onto the debit card. We only offer store credit as a second option for instances like that when customers do not have that first card but they still want to shop, they can use the store credit instead. It is suggested that when you make a return, that you are to bring the original form of payment with you to avoid any hassles.
11. If you want to give an item as a gift, just cross off the price but leave the rest of the tag there. That way, the tag is still attached and we cannot deny return if it's in original condition.
12. If you try to return something without the receipt, we will need an I.D. (This is to prevent theft and fraud.) You will also get store credit for what the item is worth currently that day, and not the amount you paid for it. Keeping your receipt secures the amount you will get back even if it's over 30 days. If it's over 30 days, You can get back the full amount of $20 in store credit rather than a marked down price of 4 or 6 dollars in store credit. This is why it is suggested you bring your items back ASAP for a return.
13. Please keep in mind that all company stores (Such as Ross, Marshall's, TJ MAXX, Walmart) all operate and run differently. It's fine to make a comparison, but expecting Ross to handle things the way TJ MAXX does will not happen. They are separate companies operated by different people with different policies. You will only get angrier if you continue to rely on that.
14. Store credit never expires, and you can use it at ANY ross, regardless of state.
15. If you lose your store credit, we cannot give you more store credit to replace what you lost. Outside of our store, it is not our responsibility to ensure you remember to place your store credit somewhere safe.
16. You can exchange your returns for anything in the store, even if it's not the same type of product. For example, you can exchange a purse you changed your mind on for a pair of shoes and just pay the difference. :)
17. Don't get mad at Ross employees over the policy. As i've stated before, we don't have control over that, it's a corporate thing. All we can do in store is carry out Ross procedures. Being mean and nasty to Ross employees does not mean you will get what you expect either. Strangely enough, we are humans too that are on your side but are limited by policy.

As a Ross employee I'll clarify some of these incidents for you.
1: Asking for an ID. Our registers automatically ask us for a form of ID whether it be a passport, ID or DL. Just some form of ID if either of the following occur: you do not have a receipt, you are returning it within 24 hours, or it has been either over the return period of 30+.
2: Price Ticket removal. Once you remove the ticket it IS consider altered unless you purchased it without the tag attached. Once removed it is up to the store's management whether or not they allow you to return the item.
3: Fragrances. Once again once you open the fragrance or perfume it is considered altered. Ross usually takes returns that have no defects and puts them back on the floor. So once it is opened we can't repackage it in its plastic sealing with the price tag on it if you remove it. Consider this when purchasing fragrance.
4: Return of funds back to card: It depends on your bank not our processing when your money returns back to the card it could take from 5-7 business days depending on your bank of course. Please keep this in mind next time your purchase with your debit or credit card. As well as checks.

I worked for Ross for about 7 months, quickly moved to MOD+ and then to FES, I was kinda thrown into the position with hardly any training and so I taught myself how to do the job! I quickly caught on, but got in trouble several times because I talk to customers too much you should be fast and friendly at the same time cause they time you on everything! But that's not great customer service, you want customers to feel welcome not like you are taking their money and pushing them out the door! And the management didn't care that we had a employee that bullied other employees and even talked bad about them to customers, even after several warning she still continues to do it, then they wonder why they have alot of turn overs, especially when management has favorites, and the favorites don't work just walk around talking, and when I would call for backup cause of the long lines the management would call me back and say such and such is doing this right now it's gonna be a few minutes! Customers come first period to me! After my disability put me out of work they ended firing me due to job abandonment cause I tried several times to call the store to get a leave of absence but everytime it was oh we are busy or call back they are gone on lunch! SMH and some of the managers didn't even know how to do it, only the store manager I guess! They never imply their own policies unless they don't like you and they talk bad about customers who take to long to check out after closing and they think it's funny when they get customer complaints about another employee smelling like marijuana after she returns from her break! And they tell other employees about employees who call out or quit because they ask! That's a privacy violation!I will never work for Ross stores or dds discounts!

I work at ross and it is crazy what people try and get away with. I am a consumer as well but what people must understand is everyone is not honest and unfortunately the honest people have to pay. People sitting here saying I am not going to shop at Ross anymore, REALLY!!!!! ROSS IS AWESOME! However my advice to you as my fellow consumers are as follow:
1) check you stuff out see if there are major flaws
2) keep your receipts have all ross receipts in one place
3)keep the tags if you need to staple them to the receipt
4) stop trippen on stuff and think realistically if you were in the cashiers spot what would you do and remember don't make them try and compromise there jobs for a small $1 savings.
5) Understand that we live in a not so great world and people are scandalous and steal stuff and then try and return it. (these are the people who ruin it for the honest ones.)

I love my job and also remember the attitude you give is what you get back...Customer service it is my job but I am a person who deserves to be respected and if I came to your job acting crazy or heck if you are retired if I came to your home you would hate it if I was rude or disrespectful.
