I wouldn't recommend them their customer service is very bad I have fought with them for a month to get acp added them when I was added they wouldn't let me use it then when it came to the date to use it magically it wasn't there so I had to pay full price anyways so a month of wasted time calling repeatedly so I don't recommend them at all especially if your using acp

Spoke with a customer service agent on 1/31/2023 at 330pm EST. It seems like the agent is a Filipina. She didn't seem to know what she's doing as she was asking me to call my previous provider Verizon. I've had straight talk for five years now and I'm just putting my sim card to a new phone and she's asking me to call Verizon. I explained that just a few days ago when I transferred my sim to a new phone they didn't ask me to call Verizon and the agent was able to help me. It's just that I returned that other phone and upgraded to better one today that's why I needed it to be activated again however she kept on saying for me to call Verizon. I asked her to give the phone to the supervisor but she said there's no supervisor. I asked for a ticket number she said there's no ticket number. Definitely a bad custom service.

20yrs I've been satisfied Straight Talk Customer. Senior, on fixed income your suggested acp discount would've helped, but not for 1bar, spinning slow, nothing opening, service. My phone acct activity doesn't show in my app anymore. When I sent a chat to request Customer service, a Safelink rep called. I want my Straight Talk Service restored to it's $45 plan, but no one will help me. So very disappointed that Straight Talk sold my acct to horrible Safelink and doesn't value me. I don't know how to get Straight Talk Service back! After numerous calls to Straight Talk and no help I feel Straight Talk doesn't want my autofill acct anymore. Totally unexpected and dissatisfied Straight Talk Service

I was overcharged $1.69 on my monthly phone bill but Straight Talk said they could only refund me $1.50. They told me they couldn't refund the tax on this particular overcharge. That seems totally unlawful to me!

Straight talk is as crooked as they come. I purchased a $30 plan by accident from Walmart and neither Walmart Meir straight talk would refund my money. Talked with straight talk, they wanted to convert it to 2 gn but I would not be able to get my service restored with that. So I would still have to purchase another $35. Card just to get my service restored. People are so crooked these days. I would not recommend this company to no one. If I had to give them a rating it would be 1

Straight Talk is the worst customer service that you will ever receive period if you need to talk to them Uber the phone, you will speak to someone you cannot understand that is not even in the United States period a good chance, they will hang up on you, and then there's no way to get them back on. The phone when you call back, you get another person. In a different country that you can also not understand period I would recommend AT&T Verizon or anywhere else before I ever recommend someone to Straight Talk.

I'm just wondering why I always have little to no service. I pay 40 something dollars a month for my service and half the time it doesn't work. I'm not thrilled and I'm about to switch providers. Straight talk needs to get it together before many of us that are dissatisfied with the services switch providers. I know of about 30 people that want to switch providers. They're just waiting till the end of the year. And I'm about to be one of them.

This company is Horrible the security sucks.Its easily broken all the time.I have set a pin and I can hang up call right back and the pin or "extra security" they put on your phone is not updated they send a password reset to your email which is not smart if someone has your email they just retained your email reset.Why do they not reset your pin or email password reset when they are on the phone w you?Makes no sense also I've had my sister get on my account acting as me bc she knows everything about me.

WiFi device stopped working for the home phone of a friend in his 90's, it took over a month to get a replacement. Customer service is in the Philippines and the rep I talked with wrote down the wrong email address to communicate with me and wrong physical address to send a replacement device to. Spent close to an hour every time I called to find out when he would receive the replacement. Even after giving them his pin number they say it isn't enough information for their 'security procedures' to answer any questions and would not even give me a tracking number to see if the replacement device had even shipped! This poor service has been a nightmare and I would not recommend Straight Talk to anyone, especially an elderly person who doesn't have a computer.

I have had continuous service since 2018 with straight talk wireless!
I leased 3 phones during this time!
The phone in question was leased 8/1/2022 i have had continuous service for over a year it is 8/27/2023
I had smart pay on a 3 way call and they refused to unlock my phone stating they would charge me a fee or i would have to have service for another 6 months!
This is wrong!

I have had straight talk for several years, my biggest complaint with them is I get charged different amounts every month and I have auto renewal. This month is the largest amount ever charged. When I called to inquire she first said it was my zip code and when I told her the tax hasn't changed she said it was the auto renewal discount had expired. I told her why has it only expired now after several years. No satisfactory answer. I am tired of being ripped off by this company of foreigners.

I am so upset with straight talk. I went online and purchased a phone plan without any problem after I hadn't used my phone with them in quite a few months. I didn't know they had given my number to someone else and they refused to give me a refund. Every one I talked to at customer service either was very rude or they just simply hung up. Something needs to be done about this asap

Straight talk has the worst customer service. I would call them every day for 2 weeks and my problem was not resolved. Also, every time I called, I was told something different. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the worst, I would give them a -10. Save yourself the aggravation, do not purchase this product. Specifically, the product was defective. A replacement could not be shipped until the defective was retuned to FL. Then I was told it should have been shipped to TN, not FL. It has been 3 weeks since my defective device was shipped. I still have not received my replacement device.

Absolutely terrible. Talked to over 5 reps and they all just tell u the same useless things that do absolutely nothing. None of them are trying to help you. The last one got through all his script and straight up stopped responding until I left. I asked like 10 times if he was gonna do anything and if he was still there and it would keep saying agent stopped typing

Horrendous customer service! It has been 5 days now trying to transfer my existing number to a new phone and sim. I lost my phone and have been without for 5 days now. I have spoken to at least 10 different reps and not 1 can help/ Also, they are all foreigners and very hard to understand complicating the issue further. I am leaving and never going back!

Suddenly I cannot make or receive phone calls when I have my Wi-Fi on when at home to save data.
When you have an elderly disabled mother that you're taking care of and you turn on your Wi-Fi at home suddenly you can't get calls from their therapists or home nurses.
Never had this happen before and I used straight Talk for years. And now they're saying that even at home I have to turn off my Wi-Fi on my phone to make or receive phone calls.
It makes no common sense whatsoever and seems like it's just a scam to get you to buy more data.
As soon as this plan runs out I will be switching carriers and telling everybody to stay the hell away from straight talk!!

The company charged me after I disabled the account. Then they refused the refund. They still havent released my imei number four days after I ended the service and this is a carrier unlocked phone I bought from samsung. I have to file a claim through my bank to get a refund, which is completely unnecessary. Their service was very restricted and has little to no coverage.

Never had an issue for four years until this month went to pay with a cardthat I've used the past few times but saying declined I use my employer's card with permission it's a credit card which I know is good but straight talk is acting up.

I just had the best technical service by Melvin. He was so efficient and effective. This man fixed my issues in less than 15 min from start to finish, and I've made 2 prior calls for the same thing and neither could complete so left with an unworkable phone for a wk. This man was phenomenal. Melvin deserves a raise or promotion cause with him you can lose the 2 prior agents I spoke with.

I was in a terrible situation sometimes last year. We urgently needed to get a new house, my score and partner's score too was bad. We tried all we could to get a loan but all effort was in vain due to the bad credit score.An lawyer I contacted to help dispute our collections requested for $1000 upfront, the major credit repair companies gave a year estimate to get us to where we need to be, God so good to us, I later met with a credit score specialist and instructor, he gave me some instructions and requested some information from me regarding my credit score in which I provided everything to him. Luckily for me, this man was able to fix my credit score, I was so amazed because he completely removed all my inquires, collections and late payments, I'm happy to tell you that I'm writing this review from our new house which I wouldn't have got without the specialist's help. I have now attempted to buy a phone from the website and the order number they emailed me is apparently invalid. I cant actually check the status of my order until and only by the grace of god i get a shipment email with a tracking number. If this isnt resolved relatively soon ill have to switch carriers. And for years i went without a problem. Just a shame.

This month my high speed data did not refresh after my refill, so I googled the issue and seen where ST costumer service was commenting an email address for people with complaints. I thought I'd give it a try and they responded within a day and after 2 emails the problem was fixed! I do think its a negative that I even had to contact them in the first place, but I was pleased with how quickly they responded and the issue was fixed.

I did the bring your own phone program. No problems except I broke my phone. I bought the LG Sunrise as a replacement. After a month it stopped working. Wouldn't go past the power on screen. I couldn't find my box or receipt so I took the loss and purchased the LG Destiny. I went to transfer my number like I did before and got assigned a new number. I called the support number and got a lady named Michelle. She was bet very nice and spent an hour trying to help me. We couldn't get my number back. She said they'd mail me a new SIM card free of charge. It arrived in three days. I called and explained to the lady what I was trying to do. She misunderstood me and I was assigned a new number. I called back and got a guy named Heraldo. He tried but then told me because she had used the new SIM card they'd have to send another free of charge. My phone got deactivated and he began a number port for my old number. The new card arrived in three days and I put the new card in and restarted the phone. Got my number back. Excellent service!

I have been on the phone for a period of two hours, attempting to solve an issue about double charges, I need to speak to a superisor, agent is telling me that he is looking for one, I asked for the main phone in Miami , he claioms he doesn't have the number, as I am emailing you I am still on hold. I have been a customer for three years, This is the worst experience when a customer has to speak to someone in another country, We need agents from the United States where they are able to speak English and understand the language !!!!!

Straight talk now has a deal on their $45 unlimited plan. If you bring over a phone from another carrier you will now get 5 gigs of data instead of 3. And i got a text from straight talk saying next time i refill my service i will get 5 gigs of data. But when i looked on their website it said the only people that will be getting 5 gigs are people that bring a phone from another carrier and everyone else will still only get 3 gigs. Thats not fair. We have been loyal straight talk customers for years.i think everyone should get 5 gigs regardless. I hope they change this soon and start giving everyone 5 gigs.

hello..I love my phone an receive excellent service. .everyone I have talked to is very nice an helpful. the only thing wrong is my high speed data gets cut down. .I pay for full service an am very disappointed. .when this happens I am willing to pay more for high speed. .however I feel a card should be made available. .with this option. it is very bad business to do good paying customers. .this way. .I really would love for my high speed to be restored. .since I provided you with a better way to please your customers thank you so much Linda Lee

I live in a town in oklahoma where no carriers work. Especially Tmobile. But straight talk works great! I can get on the internet I'm my house and talk/text. I love it and it's affordable! I reccomend highly. Everywhere I go it works great!

I had problem with my phone. It would come on at all. I call sheila and she did all due could to help.so I bought another phone. As I was getting ready to put everything in a box for junk.it came on and scared me. I want to tell sheila thank and I cancel to get another phone.

I just brought my zte savvy st in Feb, my cell no longer charges now. Called the company and they determine it got wet, I had a case on it and everything. I also have a warranty but I can't use it. I really like this phone now it only comes on and charges maybe 15% and as soon as I unplug it it says please connect to charger. What else can I do to get my cell to charge?? I had a friend look at it, he said the port or battery is the problem. I just don't understand they will not let me use my warranty??. Please please help.

I love straight talk!! But I have no idea where I can go to ask for help with my phone. I have no warrenty, :( my phone is on with a blank screen I can tell its on because on the ZTE Majesty there's a light that blinks when I have a notification....my phone had been glitching so bad, I had to get another cheaper phone that I honestly don't really like. Is there some place I can send it to get fixed with a warrenty? even if I have to pay a fee....

I purchased a Straight Talk ZTE Majesty android phone at my local Walmart store in Utica NY. When I called customer service to register my phone and import my phone number from Verizon wireless they were extremely helpful, never put me on hold at all and I got through to talk to someone in no time at all. The women was very nice and very helpful, she told me that when my old phone stops working that my new phone would work after I dialed * and four more numbers and that the system would then set up my phone. She also told me that this could take anywhere from two hours or up to two days. When we where finished and I hung up with her I waited about FIVE MINUTES and I checked my Verizon phone and it had been shut off so I dialed the * and the four numbers that I was instructed to do and the system set up my phone with no problem at all. The whole thing from start to finish took only fifteen to twenty minutes and I was on my way with my new phone. I have called Straight Talk customer service in the past several times and I have never had a problem getting through to an operator. I do not know what all these other people on these forums are talking about, I have had a great experience with Straight Talk so far and am glad that I left Verizon, should have done it a long time ago. It was one of the best customer service experiences that I have ever had.

For all of the negativity, I have a positive. My experience was most rewarding. I contacted ST by e-mail, had tremendous support from Theodore and Kurt, and within three days, my problem was completely solved. I tried calling, but had trouble understanding the gentleman on the other end. Almost gave up, but decided to go the e-mail route. Our phones consume so much of our time that when one little thing goes wrong, we panic. I am very grateful for the fast, courteous service. Life is too short. Step back, breathe, and have patience. They can help, if you let them do their job. Thanks again, Straighttalk.

The customer service reps of straight talk have the worst attitudes! Paid for their $10 global card, tried to make an international call to Trinidad and Tobago and it did not work. I called S.T. and the first CSR in an obnoxious tone (first told me the terms and conditions of international calling) instead of trying to help me out (making it seem as though it was my fault). Then she asked me which country I was trying to get in contact with. I told her it was Trinidad and Tobago. She asked in Central America? I said no in the Caribbean. She then corrected me in the same obnoxious tone that Trinidad and Tobago is in Central America. By the way I grew up in Trinidad and Tobago, it is located in the Caribbean just above Venezuela. Central America is made up of seven countries (none of them Trinidad and Tobago). After what I consider an insult to me and my country, she told me that I would need to dial *22890 and the situation will be rectified. I asked her if it does not work is there a number I can call back? Again in her obnoxious tone told me if I dial that number and follow the instructions it will work. I did just that and It did not work! So I had to call back, wait for a Csr for about a half an hour to be told that I need another contact number so I can call them and have them reset my phone. I do not have another phone since I am a new INTERNATIONAL student! So they eventually told me how to reset the phone and told me if it does not work, find a PAYPHONE and call them! This is The best Customer Service I have ever received. Thank You CSRs! I am definitely considering changing plans to RadioShack no contract. With such great customer service I am sure you will keep all your customers! Thank you again for all the help!

It was less than great, but she was eventually able to help me..and In the end I ended up with two months of unlimited- When I had paid for 30 days "everything you need" and an unlimited. But only because The first card I bought "everything you need" did not work, couldnt make calls, even though my blackberry is compatible with both, so I added an unlimited card the same day but I only got one month credit.. I called and complained..the lady didnt understand me
Multiple times...
Couldnt make out english..
Finally She was able to help me which is more than most contract phones..

Im a straightalk employee and I do understand what american are talking about us not really understanding them. I can understand english very well but what about others out there who don't. I fully commit on helping those who needs help when they call I put my heart to it. But sometimes guidelines limit me from dealing problems like a human being, instead its directing me into becoming a robot. To tell you the truth straight talk is a great prepaid service if only where directed to deal problems like a human being. I mean who would want to be yeld at over the phone? But some Americans to be honest just have no idea what there talking about.. For example one lady was talking to me about purchasing in the internet basically i told her the product available and the warranty and that was very clear. She said I do not understand but that was one example though.

I used to be a Straight Talk Customer Service Representative. If you people had a bad experience with ST customer service, then I had the worst experience in working with straight talk. First, they do not allow us to say anything that's not on the script; second, the system sucks; third, we end up giving customers wrong information because their system get so much errors. Take for instance, credit card transactions. What we get from the system is that customers' credit cards were declined, but the thing is...it wasn't declined, it was the system itself that's not allowing the transaction to go through. As for the ENGLISH part, well, people from the Philippines get blamed for the bad English when, in fact, those representatives who can't communicate in English well are those from Baranquilla, Bogota and Guyana.

Im an straight talk supervisor, i know that straight talk service has many trouble like waiting too much for the reps to answer or sometimes too many issues with the system that cause problems with the phones.

We employees, aknowledge these problems and try to handle the issues that the system gives out, the 95% of cases of being unable of using the phone are due to system errors.

The company really tries to improve and solve the system errors as soon as posible, but mean while i recommend you to make this steps when in a call with an st rep.

if you are unable to use your phone, if you have problems with sms, mms, browser or making calls:

if your phone is cdma (verizon)
dial *22890, *22891, *22801 (press option 1) and *73.
if your phone is still not working, call the custumer service, the rep will look in the system he will give you some codes and check the system. if after the codes your ph is still not working ASK FOR A SUPERVISOR OR MANAGER. higher department agents have way much more tools than a normal agent.


if your phone is gsm (atyt, t-mobile)

take out battery and sim card for about 1 minute, after that insert it back in.

the same with cdma phones, if the rep is taking too long or u dont understand it just ask to be transfered in a gentle way, when custumers normally ask to be transfered is when they are really pissed off, do not stress ur self, straight talk is not going to take ur money without providing u the service, they will grant compensation for u if you are unable to use the phone.

IF YOUR PHONE IS ANDROID (sprint)
go to menu
go to settings
go to about phone
go to system updates
and go to update profile
press ok

after that press update prl
press ok
turn off the phone, turn it back on.

usually the system of straight talk has trouble due to verizon or atyts updates, they are constantly changing things on the system and causing delays and phones disconnected.

and one thing more if your service end date is in 1 day, do not enroll in autorefill, your phone will be disconnected because it takes 24 hours to activate the autorefill thats why it doesnt work most of times.

i hope those trouble shooting steps are usefull for u

Hey guys! before you complain about straight customer service representative being idiots try to see what the company really has to offer you.. CSRs are there to assist you with the use of the system provided by the company, so basically they are just following what the system tells them.Don't blame the CSRs its not their fault if your phone is out of minutes or out of service, they don't have the tools to take out minutes on your phone. CSRs are just there to follow the policy that the company gives them, they don't gain anything if they tell you that your phone is defective and advice you that you need to buy a new phone. Its not the fault of the company if they like hiring people from other countries, in the first place its their prerogative plus if the cost of labor is not that expensive the company may just decide to employ Americans instead of those that are hired from other countries. A little advice if you wanted to call on and ask for the assistant of a CSR please try to be more specific with your request, example when your phone just don't work it won't power on. Don't just tell the CSR that your phone is not working try to be more specific like "my phone is not working the moment i Got it form the store, can I have a refund or a replacement phone for this?" if you have some issuse try to make some research on your own product knowledge of CSRs are limited to what the company provides to them... Remember this is a prepaid service no contracts are used for this, try to assess first what you are getting you self into before you decide to do something. its hard to complain when you don't have the virtue of patience.

Hey guys! before you complain about straight customer service representative being idiots try to see what the company really has to offer you.. CSRs are there to assist you with the use of the system provided by the company, so basically they are just following what the system tells them.Don't blame the CSRs its not their fault if your phone is out of minutes or out of service, they don't have the tools to take out minutes on your phone. CSRs are just there to follow the policy that the company gives them, they don't gain anything if they tell you that your phone is defective and advice you that you need to buy a new phone. ok im a rep for straighttalk,some of the complaints are good some are bad and some are pretty much funny...ok for the comment with the poor (customer service)-there is a short amount of reps to take calls,so they tooke the reps that take spanish calls and let them take english calls so u guys wont have to wait on hold till another rep finish assisting a customer.my language is pure english and i could understand them,because i speak to them every day,even though we r from different countries, y cant u understand them? comments for the (long hold time)-answer to that,"few reps lots of customer"..the coment with the guy that wants to burn his phone and dance around it.i find it being sarcastic.but my answer to u is to go right away and burn your phone its your, you bought it,,the coment with the earthquake int he phillipeans, thats not nice remember they are human beings 2..im still reading your coments and concerns and i will give u guys an answer at a later time

i am a straight talk cs rep and after hearing all those posts of inconvenience and horror stories about our service, i could honestly say that some are caused by our own systems' mishaps, but some could have been avoided if customers would also do their part - read and acknowledge our TOS and pls. try reading instructions. We do also try our best to solve every technical issue and we're here to assist you if ever you get stuck somewhere with the service but please also do your part as a customer because when you decided on getting our service is when you also decided to work with us. Having a working service is BOTH our company's and YOUR responsibility.
- horror stories about porting numbers: we try our best to work on it w/in hours but it may take at most up to 7 days. We give and ask you of our terms if you do agree. We give you a good deal of information but some customers just want to get things done their way. Effective communication is two way, it can only be achieved if both parties listen and understand. For example, we ask you as a main requirement that a number should still be active w/ the previous service, but some port their numbers though its about to be deactivated on the same day - of course that would cause problems and delay. Some don't provide their correct account numbers and pins - those really cause delays. We tell you that it may take at most up to 7 days but some even call immediately w/in 24 hours after the request has been carried out. Come on people, we communicate w/ your old service provider, we give them info and wait for their response, it's not as if we can immediately snatch your numbers from them because you've asked us to.
- roll over (esp. w/ the all you need plan users) : it has been clearly indicated on our TOS that we don't stack the service days, nor the minutes over. If you happen to experience that they did, we apologize, but it was due to our system's glitch. Though we knew that some minutes did roll over, we didn't erase them even though we had the power to do so. We do understand that it's our fault for having it dragged on for too long, thus creating misunderstandings but please don't be mad if your minutes had been erased after doing your refill.
-- please just do bear with us, while we continue to work on those weak and problematic areas, we hear and understand your concerns and will be working on giving you the best service and best customer service but we also need your cooperation --
