As a 60 year old man I have eaten Sunbeam most of my life, love my toast with butter and chocolate milk. But now you have changed something and now when toasted it become a hard rock, even soaked in butter. Terrible can't eat it. Bought a loaf of Wonder and it's my new go to.

I had the same experience as the last review. Purchased a loaf at walmart and it had gritty/sandy something all through it. We only buy Sunbeam on a very regular basis. It is definitely something that shouldnt be in there. Unfortunately my son ate a sandwich and I ruined 2 lbs. of ground beef in meatloaf that we ate some of before I realized it was in the bread. I am concerned about what we ate.

I got a loaf of bread from Walmart and this is the second sandwich I've tried to eat out of it and every time there's little crunches like shards of glass or sand are in the bread?? when I'm trying to chew it it's very gritty and seems like something is in the bread that shouldn't be??

After many years of buying your bread and your bread only you have forced me to switch to something else your bread is terrible now.

I have purchased sunbeam bread on three occasions from food lion on heckle blvd rock hill,s.c.29730. On all occasions the bread was hard. Prices of food went up,but I still purchased sunbeam. Didn't think I got my money worth.

well the day come that we must part! I was raised on sunbeam bread and never looked back until now. Bread used to be so soft and fresh, lasted until the ends were gone, what a bread! Your bread just plain out SUCKS now! I agree with other complaints seen on here. I
know this won't change anything but a least i get to vent and to let you know you are only fooling yourself! The bread is stale on the shelf and it does have a bad smell, only way i can eat it s to toast it. Apparently you don't buy and eat it yourself, I've wasted time and money trying to eat this nasty bread, won't do that anymore, good luck on trying to stay in business!

Don't know what they have done to it but it is AWFUL and sunbeam isn't the only bread like this. Brand new loaf smells bad, taste bad, and feels stale. It has to be another cost cutting idea or some crap they are forced to use. What a waste! Another product gone to the dogs and we are customers have no say........except to LEAVE IT ON THE SHELF!!!

I even blamed my local small grocery store for possibly stocking "old loaves" of Sunbeam. After trying the bread from larger stores, Sunbeam is still terrible. Burnt bottom, flaky tops, air holes, and the bread is not the soft texture anymore. It looks and tastes like weeks old bread or a cheap store brand quality.
After trying Sunbeam from several stores, I am done! It's time to move on to a better quality bread.
After finding this board, I see I am not alone with finding out Sunbeam has changed for the worse.

Just recently Sunbeam has changed!! Seems coarser and when toasted tears instead of crunch!! If y'all change something go back to the old recipe or I will have to look for different bread!!

Picked up 2 loafs of bread. I aways get Walmart but I happened to be at Meijers. Picked Honey Wheat Special Recipe Bread. Wow, just not for me. the loaf was small just not good. I have almost all of it left and I can't take it. Going in the trash.

I'm 8 months pregnant and went to buy some bread from family dollar and realized it was hard with mildew on the ends.

Why have y'all ruined my one and only bread choice? What I'm buying under the Sunbeam name is NOT Sunbeam bread. Please let the world know when you go back to making Sunbeam bread by the original recipe.

All my life we grew up eating Sunbeam and then as an adult the bread I reached for was Sunbeam, I miss those days when I could always count on Sunbeam for a thin, smooth, smelling good piece of bread to lather with mayo & tomatoes. Ah, no more, those days are gone. Haven't bought a bag in 6 months, smelled a bag in the store yesterday and it still stinks. No more for me. The great value brand now has my business. Why, oh why, did you change???

Hate the fact that it changed to the same bread as sold by everyone else. On a positive note, the stores discard so much now since so many have stopped buying it that there are plenty of loaves to get out of the dumpster to feed the hogs with. The pigs havent complained yet but Im waiting.

Sunbeam is no good anymore

I'm having the same problems with bread bad smell bad texture bread burnt

First let me say I grew up eating Sunbeam bread and that was the only one allowed. But over the years you have changed your recipe. It is no longer the soft smooth bread I enjoyed all my life. I'm 67 by the way. It's now dry a full of air holes. Sorry but same as you, I now must make a change. You cut cost with your production which has resulted in loss of loyal customers. Sorry to say I'm no longer buying your product. ?

I have bought Sunbeam bread for 42 years. No more. I have tried to hang on, but tired of paying higher price for a bread that does not meet quality that seemed to be a trademark for Sunbeam. I am searching for the quality in another brand. My husband works at a flour company and agrees there is a change in the flour structure.

We have bought Sunbeam bread for over 40 years and loved it. What has happened? The top of bread is burned and crumbly and the white inside is not smooth anymore. We miss Sunbeam bread.

Posted by Very disappointed customer

I have been buying nothing but sunbeam bread for many years. Lately, every loaf has gotten stale and moldy within a day or two. I am very disappointed and have already started looking for a replacement.

I don't know what has happened to Sunbeam bread but something has changed! Like all kinds of products, people are changing their recipes and ruining once great products! I wish I could still buy butternut bread as it was a great loaf of bread! Sun beam used to be the go to now it is absolutely not worth a crap! Fix it people! With all these bad reviews you would think some executive somewhere would make an executive decision and fix this crap straight away!! Terrible business model!

I'm not sure what has happened to the sunbeam bread that I have been buying for 30 years but the last couple of loaves I have bought have been terrible. The texture is different and the no taste at all. I guess I will have to switch brands. I refuse to pay over $3.50 for bread that seems to be stale. Wonder bread here I come.

What has happened to Sunbeam Bread....the only bread I have bought for years? It is tasteless, stale and dry not the nice sweet, smooth flavor it has always been. Will no longer purchase...it is terrible.

I bought a loaf of bread, it's expiration day is March 3 rd. Why is it so hard?

I Had a Red Sunbeam MixMaster Before Placing It In Storage in Austin, TX, It Worked Nicely, Service is Not Bad. But Good for Cakes for Birthdays & Brownies For Fun. I Loved the Fact that Sunbeam made Such a Wonderful Mixer. I Love Sunbeam.
