I want to register a complaint regarding my recently purchased Troy Bilt Brushcutter, TB42BC. this is my second purchase of this model. The first one I purchased in 2017. It lasted until January of 2024. This new one was purchased on 5JAN24. Unfortunately, it lasted only about 2 months and approx. 5-6 uses.
I have always used the correct oil/gasoline mix as I did on my first one. I was told by the authorized dealer that the breakdown was caused by not enough lubrication to the engine even though I used and have always the right mix.
I was told by another authorized dealer that would always be the response that I would get.
I have a 2018 Mustang 54 zero-turn mower and a self-propelled push mower.
I am appealing for some relief and fairness in this matter. Customer service has basically said too bad.

Our parts were sent to the post office eventhough they were shipped UPS. No mention of using USPS at all. They mentioned on their website that they do not deliver to PO boxes. Contacted customer service, nothing was resolved. We were just given a number to call. When I asked about being credited for expedited shipping, the customer service rep just gave a number again and ended our chat. No resolution. No parts. No refund until they receive our parts back from the postal service.

I went to Lowes for parts for my troy built generator.The guy at Lowe's told me no parts stop telling people Lowe's have parts I will not ever buy troy built again this generator was 4000 dollars don't but from troy built ...

I would like to know if my order will be sent and if so, when.

I received a part that was defective and they want me return the part and pay a restocking fee on something they sent bad in first place and pay for shipping!!! That is nuts

I bought a troybuilt rider mower in September of 22. The mower has been in the shop for repair twice, first in May and again in July . It's been a month since I took it in and I called the shop that's doing the repair and was told that the part won't be available until September. Needless to say I am extremely unhappy with my purchase. I called costumer service and spent almost an hour and they were no help at all.

Yes I brought a TB227xp weedeatter from tractor supply co and I only had it for two weeks so I go to start it and it would not start I called Troy bilt customer service and they told me to take it to a place near me so I did and they called me to go back and pick it up well they took it apart and never put it back together and now nobody wants to mess with it now because they messed with it already but I want my weedeatter or my money back and tractor supply want take it

I ordered a gas trimmer from them directly and it only worked 1 or 2 times before it quit. They refused to allow us to return it. We had to find a service location for warranty service. The closest one was about 40 minutes away and they were 6 weeks out. We waited weeks and weeks to get it back and when we got it back it wouldn't work. When I contacted them, they said I have to repeat the process, and argued with me by saying their warranty is good.

I ordered a part and paid for next day delivery.I received it a week later. I tried contacting them on several occasions. Troybilt has without a doubt the worst customer service I think I have ever seen. I will not shop with them again!

Completely misrepresented the delivery estimate for parts I ordered. They didn't even ship the item until the day I was supposed to receive it! They charged extremely high price for the part (over $20 for a screw) but did not provide adequate service. Feeling like I have been ripped off! I wish I had seen these complaints before I ordered. Order from someone else!

First I was on hold about half an hour to get to anybody. Then I was told to call a different number and I was back on the wait list again. Only 15 minutes that time. After a long typing cession I got no resolution to my deliver questions. Then about 3 days later a double order turned up with double charges. Back on the phone at the number given on the orders. 30 minutes and I again get another number to call. Now I am still on hold an hour and 15 minutes and have no idea if there is anyone on the other end. Do not buy from these folks.

purchased an item yesterday but did not get order confirmation number. I assumed the order did not go through so I ordered again, still no confirmation. Decided to try today. Checked with my bank and both orders were being processed for payment.
Now that I want to correct the problem, I can't talk to anyone at Troy Built. Have called 7 times this morning and have been put on hold and then was hung up on every time.
Troy Built customer service is the worst I have ever seen. The customer is not important to this company.

i will never but anything else from this company and i will tell all of my friends not to do business with TROY BUILT.

Not ONCE did any troybilt employee apologize for my lemon stormtracker snowblower, or express shock or dismay that my BRAND new $2200 machine is a piece of poop. I'm a Lil old lady in the mountains, and they tell me to take it BACK into service center for another try at fixing this pos. No remorse, no empathy, no humanity

I just bought a brand new Troy bilt 42 inch pony lawn tractor. I put the steering wheel and seat on it and hooked up the battery. Tried to mow with it yesterday but the deck was vibrating so badly it scared me. I parked it and looked underneath and the deck belt was so loose I have no idea HOW it stayed on.I called customer service 3 times...each time the "kids" basically read from the owners manual or a script of potential problems and advised me to take to a service center (the nearest is 50 miles one way). I was told to try leveling the deck...I tried but the adjustment for the front of the deck would not budge. The seat tore up as well...(The very first day of use). I found bolts holding the left rear axle so loose they were almost falling out. I can not find ANY way to tighten the belt at all. Some at customer service say some are tension belts and some are not...No one could tell me if mine is one or the other (I can slip 4 fingers between the pullies and the belt so THAT doesn't seem good. I'm basically left on my own with the vibration problem.MY truck is down and I have no way to haul it. MTD tells me that they only honor the warranty at selected service centers and have no techs who come out to service their products. This company is the WORSE I have ever dealt with! Things that were supposed to have been done at the factory weren't so now here I sit!

Purchased a Troy Bilt 30E riding mower. Fall of 2018 & owned it for 3 yrs 8 months but only used it 2 summers due to medical issue. The deck motor broke May of 2022 and it's been in the shop for almost a year awaiting the part. Troy Bilt said they do not have any in stock and neither do any of their distributors. They have changed the design for their new mowers. I realize mine was out of the 3 yr warranty but I only used it for around 2 summers (12 months mowing twice a month?). I should be able to get a replacement part ( # 924-04334) for this mower as it is practically new or get a replacement mower!!!

generator with the receipt from lowes 1,128.00 ,the generator has 43 hours on it and no one wants to replace ,fix or refund my money .. the field burnt out as nothing was plugged into the unit. I just started it to run it dry of its fuel and in doing so it fried .. the part costs 538$ and another 350$ to have it replaced by an authorized dealer . Troybilt who told me they just have their name on the product because they sponsor it handed me off to briggs and stratton i explained the situation to them and they said they would call me back and never did .. stay away from lowes and any troybilt crap

Todays date in WEDS 1/3/2023, I have repeatedly called customer service and the warranty phone numbers for several days. Recordings for both say "closed until Monday 8:30am EST in observance of the Holiday" WTF it is Weds 1/3/2023, 10:15 EST.

Hello i had purchased a troy-bilt XP series 7000 watt- 10,500 starting watt generator. I have my receipt the unit cost $1,126.38 . The unit has 43 hours on it and it looks as if i just unpacked it from its box. I keep it indoors and out of the elements. A week ago i started the machine just to run it once a month as i always do, after i started it i turned the breakers on and sparks flew from the stator so i quickly shut the unit off and stood there in disbelief . I had an authorized dealer look at it for me and they told me the field was burnt and no longer any good .the shop told me to call troy bilt to see if there's any recalls on this unit. I caled troy bilt and they told me to call the number they gave me to a local repair shop.. long story short the new field will cost about 538$ and labor will be about almost as much .the armature checked out to be fine but it needs the field. The bottom line is nothing was plugged in to cause a short . The machine itself had a defect internally for being it only has 43 hours on it .. can you help me with this problem or do i rethink any future purchases from troy bilt ..thanks jason

I purchased a Troy built pony riding lawnmower 6 months ago.
Recently having a battery unable to keep a charge. Expiration date on the batter when purchased says 4/20023.
I called tractor supply who said they could not help and I needed to call troy built. After waiting on hold for 25 minutes I was rerouted 2 times. To be told I had to deliver the whole tractor to an authorized dealer( 20 minutes away).

Don't expect rapid shipping. 7 days and still no tracking for a cable. Disappointing and we see why Amazon is a success.

I bought Troy built 42cc 20 chain saw Oct 22. I am seventy years old. Best saw I ever had, and I had all the bigger Name brands. Light. Easy to handle. Starts easy. Lots of power. But doesn't control Me. I cut and block at least 10 cord of hardwood for heat every year. I watched the Troy Built videos on Maintenance. Great saw. So I bought a. Troy Bilt Grass trimmer and Bronco mower. All great.I called to register the warranty and a representative was a great help.

I own 3 Troy built weed eaters (1TB675EC;1TB685EC. and 1 TB90BC) and none will start because of the very poor plastic pawls. I order them 2-3 sets at a time to try to keep one running. Why not make metal pawls and not have to buy the fan at a cost of about $40.00 delivered. I enjoyed the TB90BC so much until the plastic recoil starter pulley wore so bad it would not engage, why not metal? Sincerely, Grady Smith
