I Just Had A Hitch Installed At The Farmingdale Ny Location. First Off I Was Told To Come At 8 When The Technician Doesn't Come Till 9. When I Called To Make Appt I Specifically Told Them They Can't Cut Bumper As The Car Is A Lease, I Told Person I Checked In With They Can't Cut My Bumper, They Cut My Bumper Which Causes A Big Problem For Me With Warranty & Will Now Have To Replace The Bumper Upon Return Of Vehicle. Im Am Furious.
I Was Told I Should've Done The Research, Why Do The Research , They're The Professionals Apparently & We're Told Not To Cut My Bumper. Nobody Listens!!! In This Case They Either Ordered The Wrong Hitch Or They Shouldnt Have Done It At All If They Had To Cut The Goddamn Bumper!!!!

I Do Not Blame The Technician Who Installed It, I Blame The Others!!!!

We have had the worst customer service when trying to deal over the phone!! They put you on hold forever.. THEN... They answer the phone then the call ends and they don't call you back?!. Trying to book a car dolly it's never been this hard with any other company.. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE... just absolute CRAP service!! Shame on you guys! I really hope you hire all new staff, and someone else gets bigger than you and takes all your business cuz you guys suuuuuck!! This isn't the first time either I never left a comment the last time but people should be warned!.. go somewhere else.. where the customers always right!!!! Boooooooo

I am moving from Rochester, MN to Minneapolis. I had to change my reservation. What I see online is not what they're telling me on the phone. I have called to confirm three times and each time they mess up the pick up and drop off. The last person I spoke with wouldn't let me recheck my reservation. I'm on fire!

We booked our truck from Colorado to Florida 1.5 months in advance. The rep said we may not have our exact size truck and you may have to travel a few hours to get it. Cool. 2 days prior they didn't have a truck anywhere except Witcita KS. 7 hours each way. Don't care attitude...NEVER will rent from them again. You should not either. They don't care. Caused alot of stress for us. We called Penske and a miracle that they had one last truck available.

Called to see where's the closest place to rent a Uhaul van or pickup truck in my area and they want me to make a reservation first to tell me where the equipment is available. Unreal! F*** you, Uhaul.

confusing, disorganized, unprofessional process from start to finish.

My truck was ordered AND confirmed to a different location than where it was actually located to pick up. One of the front desk girls was highly unprofessional and having a personal conversation with the girl who was checking me out.... She was using extremely offensive vulgar language in front of me.

Upon returning my truck, the store was busy and chaotic. I was instructed by the girls to "just leave the keys on the counter and we will manage all return trucks". Which I did. Upon receiving my bill, I had about $97 of extra, unexplained charges. After chatting with a Uhaul representative, it appeared that the odometer was not updated after my return and I was charged about 250 extra miles that I DID NOT USE.

I've been attempting to reach out and resolve this for days now and no one at Uhaul has reached out to me as they said they would. Each time you call or get transferred to a different department, it's about a 20-30 minute wait each time.. If anyone needs to move anything, please send your business elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

Frauds!!!
Both occasions I have used this service they charged me very unrealistic amount for fuel even though I filled the fuel to the level when I rented them. First occasion I had only travelled 11kms and my fuel charge was $30. I don't know how that even possible. second time I was charged $28 for a 30km trip. Its even harder to workout a dispute as no one return for your complains. Never use this service again.

Yesterday, I went to the U-Haul located at 9178 Colerain Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45251. There was a handicapped couple ahead of me and they were almost in tears because her husband, who was on a breathing machine, was told that the hitch that they had paid for and reserved in January was not available. They then stated that they had called 4 times the day before to verify that their equipment was available. The manager barely made eye contact as she explained that it was not their fault. They were brand new. They then received a call from a gentleman who said he was double charged for a vehicle that he had returned. He went on further (I am hearing the attendant repeat his information) that he came in to return the truck but the attendant who was described as a young blond woman said that she did not have time for this and to just put the key in the box. With extra profanity, the entire staff went on about how the last management team was a complete mess and that they had just started. Now it was my turn. I asked for a truck. I stated that I did not want the insurance and he informed me that he had to read the statement that I would be completely responsible for damages if I did not get the insurance. I still declined. This all occurred just before 8am. I got my truck and proceeded to do my chores. I then got a call at 3:30 that my truck was due back at 3:15 and that I had requested a truck for 6 hours. I told the manager that this was not true. She then told me that she would make the corrections. Today I got a bill that shows that I have been charged for 2 days and I also have been charged for insurance. I returned to the U-haul to fix this problem. As I noticed the day before, the manager does not make eye contact and acts as if I am not speaking to her. I repeat that I spoke to her yesterday about the charges. She acts as if this is the first that she has heard of it. She then says that she will take care of it. I then show her my bill with the $10 for insurance. She says there is nothing she can do about this. All the while making no eye contact.

I have driven to over 3 separate location each time having a confirmed reservation for each location.

When I show up at the location there is NO AUTO TRANSPORT. I have never received notification that my reservation was moved . I have called the location to confirm it is there and when I show up they do not have it.

Scheduling department is not communicating with the locations and the customers are suffering. I have spent over $100 in diesel driving all over south Florida to secure an auto transport. I spent hours on hold being transferred from one department to another and need a manager to contact me IMMEDIATELY to resolve.

I have filled out 2 surveys and have not been contacted . I will continue to leave public reviews on Google, Facebook and Yelp. Until Uhual has contacted me and offered appropriate resolution.

This is absolutely the worst business I have ever dealt with .
I am confident middle school children could run a more organized and efficient business than Uhual

I Will Never Recommand Uhaul To Anyone. Because I Used The Trailer For One Day And Was Charged For 3 Days. The Customer Service People And Also Corporate Have No Customer Service Skills. I Was Moving My Us Military Soldier Home. I Think It Is Quite Ridiculous That I Was Charged For Three Days And I Only Used The Trailer For 24 Hours. Uhaul Is A Total Rip Off......

After exhausting all my resources trying to talk to a manager/supervisor including calling multiple times, going in person into the subject location (4502 w Fullerton) was never able to find a manager on site so i opted to leave my information with a brief description of my problem and instead of getting a response back to my request I get swamped by harassing calls demanding payment right, so I answered explaining the problem and I get promised that a manager will call me back but instead of a call I get text messages as shown above!!!!! Which shows the lock of customer service that this huge corporation has towards its customers....my story goes as follows: " since last year i rented two different units at two different u-haul locations and since then, every time I'm in town from traveling I go to my storage unit and find myself being locked out of it supposedly for non-payment but then I pulled my bank records and see that they've been taking their sweet payments out of my checking account; so for 5 months I've been going to my storage unit without being able to access it ( I guess what happened was that I set up my account for automatic withdrawal and right from the first month I get hit with $20 dollars late fee for each unit so I go into the store and showed them I'm signed up for automatic withdrawals and they proceeded to explain to me that it takes 30 days for automatic payments to go into effect but not to worry bc I will get credit (to this date still waiting for credit back to my account and what's worst yet is the fact that right after that, they put their own lock prohibiting entrance to my unit so every time since then I went to the location but couldn't get to my storage unit til couple days ago so in a very polite way I requested to talk to someone about the reason why my storage unit was inaccessible and every time I called or went in person there's never been a manager on site nor I have received a call from anyone except for the rude calls from the collection department demanding payment or else I will get fined with late fees (mind you that every time I tried to request back my original credit and every time I tried to explain the problem to them they ended the conversation with: "a manager will get back to you" ..... still waiting. Very heartless people representing this brand and the inconvenience that they created for multiple months, will never be sufficed. Will not recommend uhaul for your moving needs.

I can't believe that I haul truck rental still exist. The company has the most rude customer service and is so poorly managed.
I will definitely let everyone know NOT to rent anything from u-haul

After picking up a trailer for a one way rental and nearly completing loading it, I discovered U-Haul had provided me with a trailer that had no license plate. I called U-Haul and after over two hours either on hold or talking to three different "customer service" representatives, none of whom could help me, I finally returned to the rental location and waited ANOTHER 45 minutes for them to print a temporary license number. One of the customer service representatives even suggested I call the emergency roadside assistance number. I did, and received an automated message telling me the estimated wait time was 45 minutes! Not very comforting if I was actually broken down by the side of the road. After this experience, I tried to write a review on the U-Haul website but was directed to a non-existent link. Looks like they're not interested in hearing about their customers experiences.

It is amazing that U haul is still in business with the worst possible Truck rental service and the worst possible Hitch installer possible. For instance when I ordered a hitch to be installed they never confirmed and when I arrived I found that when the Hitch arrived at their store NOBODY CHECKED TO SEE THAT ALL THE PARTS WERE THERE!!! No hitch installation even after waiting 10 days for an appointment. Worst possibler business policies!!!!

I reserved a trailer at a location close to my home two weeks ahead of time. The day before, they called me to confirm the reservation and told me by the way we don't have a trailer like the one you reserved at that location. The closest one is an hour away. What's the point in having a reservation? I cancelled it.

Don't have rent a truck at 205 General Courtney Hodges blvd. Perry, ga. The guy told me that truck and fuel is good. I ask him to check it. Then I got charged $60 for fuel. When I call this place he said call uhaul and I even called U-Haul. I didn't get refund and also when to fill back again he simply denied stating that needs to be done at uhaul. Well this is uhaul. He wanted to make money. He said go ahead and complaints I don't care.

I've rented a small trailer from Uhaul several times and maybe 20 days in the last 6 months. This morning I arrived at Brandt pike to pickup reservation ending in 5782 and of the 4 people working only a child of maybe 6 yrs old greeted me
He said everyone were busy but they would get to me next. 20 minutes later another gentleman walked in and all four suddenly had time to wait on him. 30 minutes after that I finally got the child to acknowledge me again but stated computers were now down. I asked why adults ignored me and a man with long black ponytail tried to come at me over the counter. Again the child apologized, for service and adults who were ignoring me. I hurriedly left before hippie had chance to get around child and start fight. I fear for the child being forced to miss school and be the only adult on premises. These folks are scary, hippie might need a drug fix? Uhaul, if you don't care about customers at least make sure the 6 yr old working there is safe please? I had to cancel furniture delivery to elderly couple and hire two men and truck to perform pickup and delivery. Never again Brandt rd uhaul. 6 yr old will be reported to OSHA.

Don't ever rent a truck from North 16th street uhaul down town Sacramento, CA. Poor customer service and quoted price will NOT be the same after the truck leased and return. They will do almost anything rip you off.
