In addition to my prior comment: Walgeen's does NOT address customer issues. Instead the customer is routed to JUST ANSWER to whom you have to pay money before you even speak with anyone. Wanna bet whether the person you MIGHT eventually speak to knows anything at all about Walgreen's??

I could not have said it all better than Karen did at 16:24 on 03.07.2024. I do not have the EXACT same issues but, overall, it sounds VERY familiar. I might add that I have a degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston with a GPA of 3.96/4.00. I worked for "the man" for eight (8) years then opened my own computer consulting firm which thrived for twenty (20) years. I say all this to establish my authority in saying that your automated systems are VERY inaccurate and STINK. Your VP of MIS should be fired and replaced. Additionally, a pharmacy tech at Walgreen's told be a bald-faced lie which I shared with the local district manager. He promised to get back to me within a week; I never heard from him. So Walgreen's Upper Management disseminates bald-faced lies also.

I am so frustrated with the way you run your company. I have had problems since covid with them and after reading a list of complaints to your company I see it isn't just my walgreens in Clarkston Washington. Having worked in the medical field and pharmacy myself, I am flabbergasted that you call this kind of service a pharmacy to and for the public. I have complained before and the manager at the store a very nice PROFESSIONAL Lady handle the problem with the pharmacy. To which the pharmacist there did straighten up her antics for about 2 months. Now she is back to putting you on hold with not saying one word as she leaves you there and when it rings back she does it for about 4 times then it rings and rings and rings and she starts the whole process again. Now I have always liked Walgreens because many of us in my family have followed through with pharmacy and worked for Walgreens pharmacies. But on that note not one of us would have lowered ourselves to this kind of treatment for a patient. Not even the younger kids who had chose to be licensed pharmacy technicians. We represented a medical field and held that to the highest standard of care. I would like to suggest to you to please do a thorough scan of your complaints and figure out what is not working here and address it. If you need help I will be of assistance to do so. Thank you sincerely for your time, Karen Hunt

I had a colonoscopy scheduled and picked up my prescriptions a week early. Or so I thought. Whomever got the written rx for golytely and bisacodyl made a decision not to fill the bisacodyl. EVERY OTHER COLONOSCOPY IVE GOTTEN THE BISACODYL WAS WRITTEN AS AN RX WITH THE GOLYTELY. After calling this morning and realizing nobody chose to fill the bisacodyl I said I needed it by 11 am. They just sent me a note saying it would be ready TOMORROW EVENING. ILL BE DONE WITH THE PROCEDURE BY THEN.
NOT HELPFUL.
I AM CONTACTING THE BOARD OF PHARMACY ABOUT YOUR INCORRECT FILLING. This is not the first time. You screwed up a glucose monitor and wrote the wrong eyes in for cataract eye drop prescriptions for me.
I would like an explanation from the person that decided not to fill the bisacodyl and why. This is stressful enough without your pharmacists picking and choosing what they will fill.

The worst customer service ever...!! I would rate them five star out of 5 for poor and mediocre service nobody answers the phone and if by chance someone picks up he/she will get rid of You without even asking what do You need help with.

I picked up a prescription at Walgreens
4582 E Hwy 20 Niceville,Fl
When I decided to use the medication I realized it was a generic, I took it and it didn't work. I went to the store for to return it, the attendant said I will have to pay for another refill.
I call customer service and it only got worse, spoke to a manager Ms Candice
She was of no help.
Hope someone in authority could help.

The Walgreens in Savage off Joppa has the worst pharmacy making many mistakes. The pharmacist is very rude and unprofessional. Very poor customer service skills.

Walgreens pharmacy is the worst ever!! There is ALWAYS A PROBLEM no matter what medicine I am getting. I am so sick and tired of dealing with them. I am changing pharmacy due to being overwhelmed at how much they mess up. Round Rock

Posted by Walgreenssucks

Walgreens is literally the worst pharmacy that has ever existed. They will take weeks and weeks to fill a ONE MONTH PRESCRIPTION. You do the math on that.

Only at Walgreens!!!

If you don't babysit them every month to fill it, it DOES NOT GET FILLED. Literally NEVER. Babysit them from the moment it is sent in because I will guarantee you 100% Walgreens could care less about you.

I called one week ago today to get A prescription refilled they said they were out of it and had to order it I still have not gotten it this was at Walgreen pharmacy at Carthage North Carolina this happens a lot I went to the doctor I got a prescription about a month ago I needed it they took eight days to fill it after I call them

I spoke with a woman named Maureen at a Walgreens call center. I was having a problem with a local store and she was impatient and rude cutting me off mid sentence several and showed a bad attitude overall. This call center takes calls from a Bryan Texas store. She should not be working in customer, as I told her. She told me I was probably right.

This is the second time I have had a bad experience with getting a prescription filled. People need their medication when they come from a doctors appointment to ease pain. If Walgreens can not handle that then they need to close down. Their customer service is really bad. My doctor called in a prescription before I left his office. When I got there to pick it up an hour later I was told there was a time in it for 5:30pm. I didn't feel like waiting 40 minutes and didn't feel like driving back with a sore leg. So I was told they have delivery. I said ok cool then. I was told I would get a text to my phone. By 8:39 pm had not received a text. I called up there and was then told it didn't get finished until 7:30pm. Now you are closing in 15 minutes so I have to wait another day for pain medicine. That is really very poor customer service. You should have been in your car delivering it to me yourself after giving me the run around.

Terrible customer service experience. The lady I spoke to had no enthusiasm and was very down trodden like she wanted to be anywhere but where is was. Zero help in resolving my issue. Asking for screenshots of store tags! Don't waste your time contacting them.

I have been a Walgreens Bremen, GA customer since I moved to the area in 2018. My husband and I used Walgreens in villa Rica Ga before we moved. I have always had exceptional customer service with Walgreens until about the last 6 months. I cannot remember the name of the new employee, but she is rude and very unhelpful. I am a manager of a dialysis clinic and understand the importance of taking good care of my patients/customers. My husband and I will no longer use Walgreens because of this person and the problem not being taken care of by the pharmacist.

Posted by Dixon

It is ridiculous that the pharmacy would hold up the drive through with one customer for almost 30 minutes rather asking that customers Dr to come inside to resolve the issue. This happened at the Wal Greens on Taylor and Vaughn in Montgomery, Al. Terrible several cars just gave up!

Yesterday, I picked up a prescription for my son and also bought a twin-pack of eye drops (urgently needed by my son for persistent eye pain). The store manager needed to unlock this item from a locked, display case. I have no idea why this item was locked down. He handed us a slightly crushed package (the last one), but he opened it beforehand to inspect the contents and informed us that the bottles were fine. When we arrived home, we discovered both plastic bottles were crushed and the seals were broken. We immediately returned to the store, and the manager apologized and said he would replace with two bottles from the single packages (and I assumed at the same price). However, the two single packages were priced $10 higher than the twin-pack, and he wanted us to pay the higher price. I made the obvious suggestion to simply record the two single packages as defective, and let us leave with two, intact bottles as originally purchased. He was unwilling to do so, and I argued about this as I felt it was absurd given the circumstances of the store hand-picking damaged, tampered merchandise for us and the ensuing inconvenience of us needing to make a return trip to deal with this situation. This would have been the obvious, common-sense solution I would expect from any retail store. The manager seemed a little slow, so I appealed to the head pharmacist to give the manager a pep talk. The pharmacist claimed that he had no jurisdiction in the manner but was nice enough to talk to the manager. The manager would not budge, and he told us our only recourse would be to get a refund. He then proceeded to ask for a driver's license for the refund, even though we had a receipt and he had picked out the item for us and made the sale 15 minutes prior. I protested, but he insisted without a license, there would be no refund. I have never encountered a situation where IDs are required for returns with receipts. The whole experience was infuriating.

I bought several items from Walgreens. Initially I had an issue because they wouldn't honor the price that was on the sign. I called corporate and they explained to me that it was up to the manager if they would give you the advertised price. After realizing I could buy from the producer of the product for $5 less for each item, I decided to return with the receipt. They TRIED to give me 50% less than what I paid AND give me a gift card because I used reward points. Absolutely not!!! I told them that they couldn't have it both ways. That is stealing because I have a receipt and it was less than 2weeks. I do not want a gift card because this place is a joke. Eventually the manager came and redid the transaction and refunded the items at the price I paid back to my credit card. However I'm still waiting for it to reflect in my account. I had no idea that Walgreens had such horrible customer service. I will never ever shop here again. They are out of their mind to have such a ridiculous policy. BTW, yes I had to show my ID...why??? Just awful. ZERO stars.

Been going to the Hot Springs Village Arkansas Walgreens Pharmacy for about 18 months. I consider myself a VERY easy going guy. Seems like I can never get prompt service. Almost ALWAYS takes WAY TOO LONG to pick up simple cheap prescription. Don't really know why. Usually 5-7 people in pharmacy when I go there. Pretty much a joke.

Posted by Lewis

Level of service has declined since Walgreen's purchased and then closed Rite Aid i St Johnsbury VT. Instead of a local pharmacy that is easy to reach, Walgreen's now uses a national line. It is time consuming, impersonal, often hard to
understand the person's speech. To be transferred to a human being at my pharmacy who can answer questions means answering automated questions and waiting on hold. The new Walgreens is a 25 minute trip fur†her than the former one.

Just curious as to why there has not been better care of the lawn and exterior of this store. It is visited by many daily, on a very busy intersection and it's an eye sore! Great Bend has MANY lawn care services available that could be utilized to make this store more appealing and inviting to customers. What will it take to hire someone to take care of this need? Thank you for you time and attention to this matter.

Kudos to the crew at Walgreen Pharmacy at 69th St. and S Road, Galveston, TX for their excellent customer service. This morning they spared no effort in resolving pricing issues, none of which was their fault.
My thanks to the Pharmacist and the ladies who assisted him

I went to 5702 Lee Vista Blvd. Orl, Fl. 32822 store. Made a phone a call first. From start to finsh Emilo was absolutely fabulous. Professionlly, informative, kind, understanding. He went above and beyond to help us. We came to have my grandkids receive covid shots. (Bobylev & Bobyleva). He not only took care of us he never stopped working behind the counter. On the phone, at the drive thru or waiting on customers that walked in. Oh my gosh he was great. Customer service, PLUS. Also, Cam, the pharmacist, was also wonderful. Gave us all the information we needed befor taking the shots. Very, kind. March 28, 2023 11am..

I would just like to give Debbie and Mitchel a big giant COMPLEMENT they are both rock stars.I had a problem with getting my green card loaded and Debbie right away tried to help me and when she couldn't she called Mitchell and between the two of them they are great very professional attentive to all your needs. And when they couldn't help Mitchell right away went back to get my information so that I could get help if things didn't go right. I was worried about holding up the line but they told me not to worry and they would take care of me and they did just that they are both rockstars. That was the first time I met Mitchel it was a pleasure. Debbie is always a pleasure she is one of the nicest people in that store. They both know how to treat their customers.I live in greenvalley ranch and I have seen alot come and go out of Walgreens these two are keepers.

Cashier gave me 1/2 off on vitamins because there was only 1 bottle left and they were buy 1 get 1 free. Happy customer.

Walgreens is fortunate to have Pharmacist Evan White as an employee. He is courteous, efficient, and very knowledgeable. He makes my trips to the pharmacy much less stressful. If it weren't for Mr White I would no longer be dealing with your store. I previously had a run in with a fill in Pharmacist, I believe they are called floaters, she was extremely rude, but Mr. White talked with me , reassuring me I would not have to deal with her again. Whew, what a relief, since I wasn't prepared to switch pharmacies. I wanted to make sure Management was aware of what a great employee they have, and that I will continue to visit Walgreens store # 09417.

I received excellent customer service that went above and beyond from Angela Hicks in Walgreens #03885 at 507 s carrier pkwy grand priarie tx 75051 the week before christmas. I was having a bad day and having trouble finding what I needed, Angela saw me and asked if I needed help, and quickly helped me find what I needed and did it with joy. She not only was warm and helpful, but professional and even offered an ear and words of hope and encouragement when she saw I was having a bad day. She really brightened what was an otherwise terrible day in a very long stressful week. I've worked in customer service most of my life and I can tell you it is hard to find good customer service anymore. Angela Hicks really takes pride in her job and seems to love to help the customers that shop in her store. I will be returning to shop there whenever I need to shop at Walgreens and I hope to see her smiling face when I do.

A pharmacy employee at Walgreens store on Riggins and Demaree St,VisaliaCa by the name of Natasha performed Wonderful service on prescription that was not covered by insurance. The cost was $172 and she knew how to input a Medicare Part D discount that lowered the price to $24.14. She should receive the highest positive acknowledgement by Walgreens.

Thank you

I went to the Walgreens located in Metairie, LA to have some reproductions of several photos. When I got there a woman named LINDA assisted me. She was extremely patient, and helpful. This was my first time using the photo machine and she helped me crop all my photos exactly as I needed. I cannot say enough about the assistance she gave me and I am very thankful for her help. It made the whole process easy.

I had been looking for a place to ask about a particular Walgreens store in Las Vegas, Nevada that allows non-service pets to come in with their owners and sit on counters meant for checking out packaged food items. Although I see this very often and know it is against health laws, I find that I am being very picky. After reading the comments from L. Simms on the Walgreens employee, that did not look her in the eye and, therefore, must be a racist, I decided my concern was not a problem for me. L. Simms, please check your attitude. As a mixed race person, I use spell check.

I was very impressed by Charlene's diligence in getting my discount card approved for my prescription today. The phone number hotline was busy for a day and a half and she finally got through and saved me about 200 dollars. She works at the Walgreen's in Kerrville, Texas.

Amanda who works at the pharmacy department in the Freehold NJ Walgreens is the worst unfriendliness person behind the desk. Everyone seems to be helpful and I understand it's stressful. But she shouldn't work with people.

The purpose of this comment is to commend Jacqueline Torain, Store #10071, for her kindness, effort, and flexibility in assisting me in identifying and purchasing a pair of over-sunglasses. She checked out more than simply the Walgreen's website to follow up on the offerings of certain brands. With grace and patience, she goes the extra mile and further reflects the excellence of Manager David Hendricks.

I am an African American disabled hard worker who works at Walgreens in Illinois. From the time I started, almost two years ago, I was treated very badly by a racist white team leader. I was hired as a head cashier, and this lead wouldn't let me get on the register. I was the only one walking around the store doing work while she told the Caussian and Mexican they didn't have to work. She did a lot of horrible things to me. She went around and told horrible lies about me to anyone who would listen, and even the new manager, who I found out later she was drinking with and having sex with, treated me differently. For over a year, they had people coming to work doing absolutely no work 80 percent of the time, and because I started writing corporate and complaining, I am now hearing that corporate, and the district manager is telling them whatever complaint I have not to listen to me. To ignore me. What kind of mess is that? I already warned corporate staff that there was a lot of gossip going on in that store and a lot of favoritism going on, and everything I told them was happening with certain coworkers has been revealed, and even a few other coworkers have been speaking up and saying the same thing I'm saying. Instead of thanking me for telling them and possibly saving them money because they had workers clocking in to get paid to work and they did no work, They are telling people, including my manager and team leads, to ignore any complaints or emails I send. Well, okay, that's why their store is steadily going down. That's why people are quitting or not coming in. I tried to warn them about problems that are arriving or about to come. Instead of thanking me, they label me as a troublemaker or a person who likes to complain.

Posted by Linda

I don't have a complaint about customer service. I have a complaint about employee service. Me being the employee. I recently transfer from Kentucky to Tennessee. I was working 8-4:30 Tues-Sat. I have worked for the company since 1991. I am trying to get on at a Walgreens down here, problem is this fair scheduling BS. I have to work days because of my home life and a child at home. We know nobody down here. I worked 15 years with a swing swift, including being assistant and working pharmacy. I believe I have paid my tides and earned the spot to work my day shift. How is it fair for a veteran like me to have to still work the swing shift. You want to be fair? but Walgreens is not being fair to the people who have put their time into the company already. I am an honest, hardworking, dedicated employee who now has to look for a job outside of Walgreens. I have dedicated 23 years of my life to this company and I feel that arrangements can be made to accomadate this situation. My old manager even sent a really good recomandation the the team leader here in Tennesse, to no avail. I thought that Walgreens was family, they are sure not treating me that way. Family takes care of their own, not shou them away. I am very upset that I cannot continue my career with Walgreens. I have invested so much in the time I have been with Walgreens, I really do not find this to be very fair at all.

Store manager seems like a nice person but is a "mouse" having poor management skills. Unable to fire employees who: chronically come in late, don't perform minimum core job duties, and oblivious to employees who steal merchandise. Little to no verbal communication - simply leave memos on counter-top to read. Store is dirty and unsafe. Rules enforced unevenly. Store mgr gets all nervous when Regional Mgr comes to visit - presume feels guilty. Annoying that some co-workers feel entitled and goof off.

Posted by hatethispalce

Walgreens treats it's older workers poorly. They cut our hours, make us do more than the younger workers, and we have no hope of ever being promoted. Only those under 40 are promoted into any type of supervisory position, and into the pharmacy. The younger workers are given 25-30 minute paid breaks and 45 minute lunches. They also are not expected to really do anything. Customers wonder why they can't get good customer service. It's because those of us that are expected to work are treated so badly, we don't even want to be there - we have to.

Posted by Anon

I would have to say that as far as corporate goes, Walgreens is crap. You can't expect them to look at you any further than as a infinitesimal speck on their radar. They cut hours every other month, for both store and pharmacy hours, and then brag to forbes that they are up for sales. And worse, they literally just redesigned the Management system so that assistant managers lost about $3-$5 an hour just to keep their jobs. The only people who are safe from this are the lowest of the grunts and the store manager.

As far as stores go, it's not much better. As you can expect, morale is low from all of this cut hours and lost wages crap. So nobody but the guy who doesn't know anything, and the guy who runs the store gives a damn about much of anything.

However, there ARE a few stores here and there that you can find excellent service from. My store is one of those rare gems. Everyone who works here is very friendly and we receive excellent customer ratings all the time. Most of us have been at the store for 2 years or more, so we all know what's up and most of us can even tell you what is in stock without going to look for it. (Which I understand is annoying, but trust us. If you stare at the same aisles and stockroom for 40 hours a week, you tend to memorize it.) We frequently write Rain Checks for anyone who asks for a reasonable number of the item that is on sale and out of stock. If you have any issues, most of us can fix it quickly, even those of us who are not managers. I would say, for our store at least, expect excellent service, even if it's a little hectic.

My District Manager at Walgreen told my store manager to keep the expensive items lock up away from "Aunt Jamima and Uncle Ben". then the DM point her eyes to an elder couple African American in side the store to make her point.*** That is so not cool. I think she need to stay away from the Klan.

I used to work for Walgreens And would not recommend anyone working for these people ever.
I started out as overnight cashier got consistently 40 hours a week but they would give me a scedual of 1 day on 1 day off 1 day on 1 day off that went on for about 3 months killer turn around when you work 10 hours every other night.

asked to be put on days so I could go to school again was never gonna happen they just ya sure w/e me a month later hes like I want you to be a photo tech during the days only because he wanted to fire another employee mind you. Put me on days and cut my hours in half. Asked for more hours went to 15 hours for 3 weeks. Kept asking for more hours weeks never happend. That manager eventually got promoted to district and moved and a new manager came in district as well this time. he cut my hours to 10 hours a week and would not give me more eventually walked in and I had 5 hours in 1 week and told him wtf and he wrote in more hours for that week. He hired someone new and I got a good look at his calender and he would scheduled everyone else's hours around this guys availability. the guy cut everyone elses hours in the store to make room for this guy. its like wtf man I worked hard when I was there they would schedule me for truck day 3am to 1pm on those days and I would unload the truck and move it all out to the floor and put it all away.

I still get mad at how they treated me there wont even walk into a walgreens anymore

I am currently working at Walgreens. I am trying to get hired at CVS. At my store, during truck days we are forced to tell the customers the photo machine is down although its not! Because we are short on people. Poor customers! My assistant managers are terrible, they are very lazy.

Walgreens has hired many new young kids to be managers, district managers, district supervisors and others on the top of the chain. This company I have seen just many changes that were good but sad to say I have seen more changes that have effected the spirit with employees and the value it used to have with employees. Ive seen stressed out Pharmacist and realy outraged technician because of the budget cuts and not able to meet their needs. Walgreens if their realy busy, usually has 6 techs. one at 8am, 9:30am, 10am 12:30pm 1:30 pm. They say we have been affected by express scripts, they are still busy. and even when we had all the contracts they still would cut hours. What gets me, why are they still buying STORES! give me a break, greed, greed. Customer service is a big deal for Walgreens and all companies but they still make them wait. All Walgreens are under staffed and from what I hear from these employees they are not being treated right. They cut hours on workers that been there for many , many years and they decide to hire another person and cut hours from a person thats been there longer. Thats wrong! It seems the older you are with the company the more hours you will be cut because of performance. There is more to put on here and all this is not written preoperly. I was rushing, so im sorry for the grammar.

I worked at Walgreens several years back at store number 5475 at 300 East Township Street in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the photo department. The lady over the photo department was horrible. Mean as a snake, and yelled at other employees in front of customers. Wasn't too nice to customers either. The store manager was horrible too. There were some very good managers and employees there too, but the store manager, the lady over the photo department, and one assistant manager(can't remember the names now)were just rude and treated me like crap. I apologize if these positions are filled now someone with someone new, this was back in 2002.

I've worked for Walgreens for almost 7yrs now. I've been a pharmacy technician and during which I've also been studying to be a pharmacist. However, it's very unlikely that I will return to this company as a pharmacist after all the experiences I've been through. They cut the pharmacy hours every summer and for some reason, it seems like we get busier (numbers don't lie) when they say we should be slower. Customers complain that we can't have their prescription ready in 15 minutes, instead we have 1-2 hour waits during the afternoon. The reason being is that we do not have the help that we need. Today is the 2nd of the month and we had 60 labels on the counter with 1 technician filling, taking in new prescriptions and answering the phone, 1 technician working the drive thru selling and taking in prescriptions and 1 technician working the out counter selling prescriptions. The 1 technician filling was me this morning, and I had to come home and take a nap because I was so exhausted!! I should not have to exhaust myself to get these prescriptions out on time. It's not fair to me, and after awhile I stopped answering the phone and let the pharmacist get it because I was running out of gas.

I have worked for Walgreens. I quit when I got fed up with my fellow employees not doing there job. There are a few good ones, but most management is awful. They only care about the bottom line. Bottom line being money. Also the reason the pharmacy is so bad, is that these pharmacy workers are not given lunches or breaks, besides bathroom time. These people are seriously underpaid, overworked, and that is why they act the way they act. I hope walgreens decides to post my comment, if not they have somthing to hide, it will come to the lite, I'll be watching!
