I purchased a brand new whirlpool, washer and dryer set from Lowe's in Crestview four months ago. My washer broke down the first month and I had to wait two weeks to get someone out and then they didn't show up and so I had to call whirlpool again and I had to wait another week because whirlpool only has one company around here service or washing machines it's S&S appliance.
Now almost 3 weeks ago my dryer broke down and I had to wait two weeks for someone to come out and look at it and it turns out it was some fuse in the dryer and it was fixed. This is today I dried one load of laundry and went to go put my sheets in the dryer and again the dryer is not working. So now I have to call whirlpool to have them schedule an appointment yet again with S&S appliance And I'll probably have to wait another two weeks
This is the worst set of washer and dryer that I have ever had. The last ones I bought were heavily used and I was able to use them for three years and then I moved and left them and they were still working. They weren't whirl pool.
I will never purchase anything from whirlpool nor will I ever purchase any appliances from Lowe's because there's zero help also so now I'm sitting here with a nearly brand new set, four months, old washer and dryer that doesn't even work and I'm gonna have to go to the laundromat sure that they won't replace them so I guess I just sit here and have to keep having someone come out every couple of months to fix a piece of crap washer, and dryer that I have. If I could give you zero stars I would give zero stars..

Whirlpool ice maker drawer in freezer has been freezing up with great difficulty in pulling out for ice for five years. Whirlpool techs have been working on the drawer slides under the original and third party warranty with no success for the duration. Whirlpool tech line has deemed the unit is operating normally. Thus, the warranty company will not replace the unit. Whirlpool management says there is nothing more they can do. The unit was sold with defects that cannot be fixed by their techs. They told me to keep working on repairs. This very poor customer service! They do not care!

I'm the owner of a full set of Whirlpool kitchen appliances.

Unfortunately on July 12 2023, the freezer part of my refrigerator stopped working. I reached out to certifiedcare.ca and opened a ticket.

Brief version- I've had 3 visits from a technician, and currently neither the freezer nor the refrigerator section is working. I'm now more than 6 weeks into my service ticket, and I'm using an ice cooler in my kitchen.

I've contacted difficult to reach Certified Care 3 times. In my last contact with them they said I would get a status update from a technician that morning. 2 days later-no response.

I'm 6 weeks without use of my fridge that I purchased 11 months ago.

Gotta run. Time to drain my cooler again and add more ice. Thanks for everything Whirlpool

I purchased the Whirlpool stackable Washer and Dryer about 5 years ago. The washer is fine, the self venting dryer is the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. It takes a whole day to do two loads of laundry. I just had several people visiting me at the same time and had to take my laundry to a laundromat so it wouldn't take me a week to get the job done. I am looking to purchase a new stackable set because if this awful dryer that doesn't dry, and takes sometimes a half a day to dry a load of normal clothes! I will NOT be looking at any Whirlpool product in my future. Again, a waste of money and my time and patience. I can't wait to get rid of it.

Customer service is outrageously incompetent. I have called 4 times and for some reason I cannot schedule an appointment to get my dryer fixed which is less than a year old. I will never buy any brand affiliated with Whirlpool again. All I do is wait on hold for the safety staff that never comes on after 30 min waiting and then my phone gets disconnected. The customer service states I have to speak with safety rep in order to schedule appt. but I can never get anyone on the line. I am so frustrated. Whirlpool is not a high quality product company...very disappointing.

I've never been so disappointed in a company's customer service.

My parents purchased a Whirpool refrigerator and after just a few months, they found the refrigerator had "cold" spots, where it would freeze the food, ruining produce and other items repeatedly.

Despite contacting customer service (as the product is obviously under warranty) after FOUR tech visits where nothing the technicians tried was effective, Whirlpool informed them that they could only get a replacement if the technician called them while on site and said the refrigerator was unrepairable.

On the fifth visit, the technician explained that he is not allowed to make that call - and was proved correct when he literally called the techline and explained that there was nothing to be done and ASKED that it be classified as unrepairable, to which they responded that he needed to come back with LINER TAPE and tape the vents and see if that stopped freezing.

Whirlpool told the technician to literally tape the vents rather than honor the warranty and replace the item.

The technician, as well others techs, all agree that this isn't a fix, and is at most an ineffective band-aid.

Common sense would say that blocking the vent will tax the refrigerator, likely causing it to fail in other ways down the road. But it won't be under warranty at that point, which I can only assume is what Whirlpool is hoping for.

I've made various attempts to reach out to Whirlpool directly, but have received no further assistance.

DO NOT BUY FROM WHIRLPOOL if you want even the most basic/mediocre customer service.

We just had the worst experience with a whirlpool refrigerator. It took them two months to condemn a 9 month old refrigerator after eight service site visits. It was "fixed" numerous times with technical support's assistance then broke down again and again, ruining hundreds of dollars worth of food. We bought it on sale and now we are out the value of the fridge because if it and will have to wait 2-3 weeks for the refund. We will never buy a whirlpool product again.

I purchased a Whirlpool oven 1year 4 months ago this is the double oven. I purchased it for $1500 at Lowes in Bartonsville PA I also purchased a 2 year ext warranty. The upper oven handle is attached to a plastic vent, about 6 weeks ago I went to open the oven door and it felt stuck so I pulled and the plastic vent cracked the handle remained attached to the plastic but the plastic cracked. So I assumed it would be covered, well Whirlpool obviously does not back their products. They said it is cosmetic. Unreal how is that cosmetic is the vent not needed then make it pretty without but do not expect consumers to absorb the cost of your faulty design in products. Oh and to make matters worse I need to replace the entire door because of the broken plastic. So it will cost me almost $400 to purchase a new door, that is wit us doing the work ourself. So now my oven of not even year and ahalf has cost me over $2000. Whirlpool does not care.

Customer service is the worst. Have called 10+ times over last 4 months and no one has any record I've called or any idea how to solve my issue. Compressor broke on 1 year =old refrigerator but Whirlpool can't fix it and refuses to provide a refund beyond a 15% coupon. On top of that, the repair team that they sent out broke a water line in our kitchen and caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to the house. Stay far away from Whirlpool and KitchenAid - they are the worst!

PIECE OF CRAP PRODUCT, COMPANY & CUSTOMER SERVICE.
WHIRLPOOL IS A NIGHTMARE, WE NEED A NEW DISHWASHER - WE ARE UNDER WARRANTY, YET THEY CONTINUE TO LIE AND GIVE US THE RUN AROUND.
WE HAVE WARNED ALL AGAINST PURCHASING FROM THIS ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY.
We purchased a brand new dishwasher from whirlpool, thinking it was a safe and reputable brand. After five washes, it broke down, showing two error codes for a leak under the dishwasher.
From there we called Whirlpool customer service, as we had only had it for a month and it was under warranty. THE WARRANTY IS BS, JUST LIKE THIS COMPANY.
Whirlpool sent out a repairman from a local company, Tri City, and they have now come SEVEN TIMES. Each time, they have searched for a leak, and then replaced a part of the dishwasher (a few times being REQUIRED by whirlpool to replace a part we KNEW wasn't causing a leak!!!!! Just because Whirlpool said to). The customer service, which shouldnt even be called that because they are useless, knowledgeless, and several of them rude and impatient - not listening to the actual issue and even admitting that the solutions they were offering were inane, but sticking to them anyway).
I have had to take off from work SEVEN DAYS to have the repairman come and replace another part of the dishwasher, to NO. AVAIL.
Whirlpool PROMISED us that after the third 'functional repair' where they replaced a part, if the same error codes were still happening, then they would replace the product. WE JUST HAD THE THIRD FUNCTIONAL REPAIR, IT STILL IS NOT WORKING AND NOW THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE!
MIND YOU, NOT ONE WHIRLPOOL REPRESENTATIVE HAS LOOKED AT THE MACHINE- IF THEY DID THEY WOULD SEE IT IS NOT FIXABLE AND HAS A MANUFACTURER ERROR!
However, they said that us, the customers, are the problem. That we...
1) Do not know how to properly load a dishwasher
2) Have put in plates that are not dirty enough or are too dirty
3) Two reps said we should use pods and the other one said we should not use pods.

I spoke with 3 different departments about a safety problem with my Whirlpool range. I was on the phone for 40 minutes. The problem with my stove knobs turning so easily that unknowingly gas had leaked from my stove. I could smell it outside before I entered my house! Their answer: buy knob covers. The knobs also get extremely hot when I'm baking . This is a safety issue regarding the design and quality of the stove. I have always liked the way it cooks but yesterday was extremely scary for me. The knob covers are extremely inconvenient. I have tried them before. There should be a better answer than "knob covers"! If my home had exploded, along with me or a member of my family, there would be serious repercussions for Whirlpool and I've thought of seeking legal representation and may do so.

I bought a brand new Whirlpool washer at Lowe's in November 2022 at a cost of nearly a $1,000. Fancy machine with see -through glass top and removable spinner.Three months later, in February 2023, the machine started producing a high decibel, ear-piercing, screeching noise and then it stopped working. Went back to Lowe's for an exchange under the manufacturer's warranty. They asked me to contact Whirlpool Service. Thus began a still on-going, 4 months nightmare. Whirlpool contracted Ken's Appliance Service to repair my washer. After multiple attempts to repair my washer, involving multiple parts replacement, this saga is still unfolding. Ken's Appliance Service has not been able to repair my washer in four+months. Obviously this thing is not fixable. It has a monster manufacturing defect. Yet, to this day, no resolution from Whirlpool. When I call Whirlpool Service, I'm often subjected to a tone- deaf dialogue with an automaton who has no info, no clue what is going on, and has to constantly get off the phone to, seemingly, get instructions as to what to say. The latest non-sense from Whirlpool:
« We are trying to reach Ken's Appliance Service «
Really ?? You've sent them to my house multiple times, over 4 months. They've attempted to repair my washer, in phone concert with your own technicians. But for more than three weeks now since the last time Ken's Appliance Service came to my house, you've been unable to reach them ?? Yet, when I call Ken's Appliance Service they promptly pick up the phone?? This stuff is straight out of a Night Shyamalan's horror film. This is shocking for a company considered the top home appliance manufacturer on the planet. I will be contacting my state's consumer affairs department soon, if I'm unable to get some sort of relief from Whirlpool. It would be nice if they'd start by picking up their unfixable, defective washer.

I had a appointment for a repair today and I took off work to have this done and the company sent to do this service isn't picking up and the technician isn't answering but when tracking the status of this appointment it says service started but no one is here what a waste of time and money sitting at home waiting on tech the company is carolina appliance repair

Hi: Whirl Pool... Replaced our 51 yr old May Tag top loader. Two service calls in that time. New May Tag Commercial top loader only made 6 months before requiring a complete Lobotomy. Unit would start on its own after the laundry was finished and try to drain while empty.

Our new fridge arrived on May 25 and broke down on May 27. It's July 14 as I am writing this and the fridge is still dead, with Whirlpool both unable to fix it (no parts in stock) and unwilling to replace it. "Outrageous" does not even begin to cover it.

They wrote this to me in response to my email complaint: "Sometimes service companies may use various contacts for supplying Whirlpool repair parts. There may be times that the part distributor they have utilized does not have the component available immediately, even when that part is available directly from Whirlpool."

This was my response:

"it makes no sense to me that I should have to reach out to the service provider - Whirlpool assigned them to me, I called Whirlpool - this line in your response indicates to me that there is no accountability:

If your dealer/service provider is having difficulty obtaining a replacement part, please have them contact their Whirlpool account representative directly, as we may be able to provide assistance in locating or expediting the part needed.

I should NOT have to reach out to them to tell them to contact you to get a part that they need - it makes no sense. You should have some semblance of control and oversight as to a service call that was initiated by YOU.

I expect my dishwasher to be in working order, or completely replaced before the end of this week.

I would rather just get a check and buy another brand dishwasher

I was very disappointed when speaking to a representative from Whirlpool this morning. We purchased this side by side freezer/refrigerator in 2019, as pictured in photo number one. We had a certified Whirlpool technician out to check it this morning. The ice maker is not making ice. The problem is that several of the wires that power the unit are broken, as evidenced in photo number two. The cause is simply from opening and closing the door. One would think that Whirlpool would want to make good for this problem because the issue is one of such VERY POOR DESIGN. Why should the wires break and fray from just NORMALLY opening and closing the freezer? We've only had this appliance for just under 4 years. Warranty or no warranty, there is no reason for Whirlpool not to stand behind their product! BUYER BEWARE!!!
