This is the update on my Apr 20 review regarding the repair issue for my broken Whirlpool dryer incident.
After almost 2 weeks of chasing Whirlpool customer service and a few phone calls with their Service Department Supervisor and then the Complaint Department Supervisor, Whirlpool HK finally was able to resolve the issue for me first by trying to fly in the service part (circuit board) from Europe to replace the damaged one. However, 2 days after informing me of this arrangement, the Complaint Department contacted me nicely to inform me the part somehow could not make it in the near future for the repair. But this time, they were prepared and did their ground works ahead of time, this supervisor, Carson, immediately and very nicely offered to tell me Whirlpool would replace the damaged dryer with another brand new unit of the same model (actually a newer version of the damaged one). The new dryer had just been delivered and the old one taken away.
Although it was not a pleasant experience during the initial stage of this 2-week process, at the end Whirlpool was able to step up and do the right thing for their customers. For this, at least it gives me back some level of satisfaction and loyalty back to this brand. And thanks to those from Whirlpool who were involved in this process and helped to resolve...Because of the way they tried to resolve this issue at the end, I would reconsider to rate it from the previous negative to positive again now.
