First of all, let me say that I truly love shopping at WinCo Foods. I have been a customer of theirs for years now, and when I have taken others over to shop there for their first time they also have fallen in love with it. Because I care for WinCo, I want them to be aware of one of their bulk items. The name of it is Monkfruit sweetener. It is so good for those that are getting away from regular sugar, and it alone does not negatively affect any organs of the body. When you purchase pure monkfruit sweetener it is a great thing for your blood sugar. But the sweetener that is added with some monkfruit sweetener is called erythritol. It is also a sweetener, but is known for creating heart disease, causing strokes, stomach pain, gas, increasing chances of blood clot formation and bloating. I want WinCo to know about this because they deserve the truth, and I know them to very concerned about pleasing and helping their customers. Thanks for checking this information out. Remember you can research this information online.

To: Winco Management Regarding Lakewood, CA Store
From: A Neighbor and Former Shopper
I learned this afternoon the root reason why I and so many neighbors of mine have shopped less or not at all at Winco. The problem is the supervisors. I will add that this might mean that the anyone reading this email might be a part of the problem too. My experience was with the "supervisor" today at the store. I had asked if she was the manager, and she nodded and said that she was a supervisor.
I would prefer to shop at Winco and let her know that I thought the store was clean and well stocked, but everything seems to breakdown at check out.
I realize that I am probably wasting my time here, so I will end this message without investing more of my time. Her conduct as a worker interfacing with the public was poor.
Winco Lakewood could be more prosperous, the employees have more secure jobs and even better customers. But ultimately there is inadequate store management. Maybe Winco won't pay enough to get decent acting people.
I managed to do just fine in October by shopping more at the other stores in my life: Superior and Walmart mostly and HMart. There was also once Stater Bros , once Smart and Final, and once Vons. I'll try Costco this week and Jethro and Albertsons. Then, I will settle into a new routine. I visited Northgate in September. I'll revisit them too. I will come up with another shopping routine with my new favorite stores.
My family was very happy when Winco opened and were saddened when WalMart opened kitty corner. We supported Winco, but we just cannot in good conscience anymore. Checkout ought to be more fair, considerate, and efficient. More support needs to be given to the checkers and the customers.

Today we were at Winco at watt ave Sacramento California. The lady at the customer service was very rude to us. We wanted to make money order she even was not looking at us and talking, she asked for how much do you need the money order I said 868 and my friend wanted to make a money order for his rent. She took my driver's license and took all my information at the same time she refused to help my friend. She said because we came as a group to Winco so it is their policy to not make money order for people who come togas to Winco!! What ????? What kind of a policy is this? All immigrants live at that area, are they rude because of the immigrants???? Or what? What is this policy for? Why the customer service lady is this rude. She refuse to make my money order too. Because it was her break time. And by the time she would be ba k from the break it would be 7:00 pm and she would tell us it time to close the customer service station. He supervisor came he was as rude as the lady we were asking that we want to talk to your manager and he kept saying that managers are busy"sorry they can not come" than sadenly the manager was crossing and she saw us she came and ask us what was going on? She was very nice she listened to us and she said she is going to talk with that lady. We ended up with no money order.

As a former employee and stock owner I shop at winco to support there business. I was shopping in the lewiston winco yesterday and was surprised by how helpful the bulk food employee was. Then I went to the checkout and the cashier said she was doing well and asked if I found everything I needed I said yes and said I was a former employee and I know my way around pretty well just trying to make conversation. I don't quite understand how the employee took what I said but she responded it's my job she said and do you understand. I don't like the way she responded to me as far as customer service it felt like she was talking down to me like I was stupid or something.

Today at about 10 AM while visiting your Winco on NW. 39th Expressway, I was in the meat department I was trying to get some assistance. I saw a short white female with blond hair and asked her for help. She was very rude walked away told me it was not her job later it was greeted with another gentleman that took care of me, I did tell the gentleman about her and he said that she is usually like that and apologized. I believe he also told me her name is Sky if your employees know that this other employee is rude and disrespectful, you should probably be talking to her about her behaviors, especially since later on in my visit, I was going down an aisle and saw her on her cell phone propped up in , the stuff she was putting up I don't know about you guys, but I've been shopping at Winco for almost a decade and I've never had to listen to somebody cuss on the phone while shopping and it actually be an employee not just a guest out of control you need to get a hold of your employees and really sitting down and teach them how to speak and treat their customers

On 2/18, I came to Winco in Kent, Washington. The entire cart area was empty. Many of us were standing around waiting for carts. I actually went into the parking lot in the rain to get my own cart from someone loading her car.

I couldn't find the self checkout employee to tell her, so I told a clerk about the cart situation. She was nice enough to tell the self checkout woman, Becky. When Becky was told there were no carts, she gave the poor clerk a dirty look, got in her face, and sarcastically said, "So?"

The clerk quickly went back to her register, and I was standing there disgusted at Becky's bullying, and failure to help. I said. "No? What do you mean by no?" She pointed her finger at the clerk and said, "That was for her." I told her it didn't matter who it was for because it was just rude and didn't solve the problem. She wouldn't give me eye contact, but said that all the carts were out. I told her I realized that, and asked her what she was going to do to remedy the situation. She just shrugged her shoulders and mumbled something about maybe somebody possibly getting them.

It was pretty clear that Becky had no intentions of problem solving the situation, so I said, "There are a lot of people out there waiting. They want to spend their money, but you won't even find carts for them. You're being rude." She just shrugged her shoulders and the conversation ended.

Winco is a store that I enjoy shopping in, though I live in Seattle. I have found the employees to be helpful and professional. The deli and meat department employees are top notch! Becky was a total outlier. I was dismayed that she didn't even give it a thought as to how she was presenting herself. The self checkout line was at full capacity, and I know that customers were witnessing our exchange.

I'm hoping that Becky can go through some training and work on her professionalism with her own peers as well as customers. She is definitely not representing your company in a satisfactory manner.

My husband wrecked our car on his way to Winco in Missoula limped into your parking lot did his shopping and chatted with an employee about it . On Sunday night my son-in-law went into tell them we needed more time the guy said he could have 24 hours . We are seniors I just got out of the hospital with double pneumonia turned sepsis and on oxygen so nothing is easy for us and your store had it towed. When I spoke with and employee I'm assuming a manager. He said you do it to encourage people not to camp out there. We aren't those people. I live on a limited income and now my car is in a towe yard owing lots of money. It's enough strain with everything else. Where is your heart?

On 12/13/2022 bought 4 Stella freshly shredded parmesan cheese 10 oz. containers. Used 3 of them, no problems, delicious. Went to use the 4th one and noticed curious condensation on the underside of the tightly sealed protective plastic covering. I was uncomfortable with this, decided not to even peel it back to open it, but to return it to the store for questionable quality. Well, oh my goodness! The disrespect I was met with was just astounding, by three different employees, one of course a manager. This happened at the Lewisville location, 1288 W. St. TX, store #0121 on Jan. 10th, 2023. It was astonishing at how they absolutely refused to give me my money back, but even were quite reluctant to allow me an exchange either. When quality is the issue, this is a serious matter. However, I definitely was treated as though I had bought one too many and just desired my money back. I could not believe the discussion that was taking place between these three employees. It was the most ridiculous thing I had ever witnessed! I finally grabbed the container in question, along with my receipt, and vowed never to shop there again, as I walked out. To assume everyone is out to screw them is a bad way to approach a customer service problem. They really do forget just how much some of us has spent over the years at their establishment and that a $4.38 refund would have saved a good customer. They blew it badly.

I do not write bad reviews not unless I really need to. I shopped at winco on 4200 Coffee Rd. Bakersfield, Store# 0032 , Cashier: Angela Barcelona. I greeted cashier, did not get a response back , and that was fine I thought to myself she's having a bad day. She proceeded to scan my products super fast as if she was in a hurry , where at one point she scanned something twice, but she removed it. I later in my receipt notice she did charge me the wrong amount for an item. Are they able to enter a different amount for an item? She had a rude face ( mad) for no reason I done nothing to her other than try and be nice. I think she's not happy in her job and Winco should not be hiring people who apparently do not want to be there. I was most disturbed that she charge me more for two items. Will be returning back those to items! Not to mention I have to do an extra 30 minute drive just to return.

I was at Winco today at 2300 Watt Ave
Sacramento, CA 95825
United States. I needed to buy a money order, I was from about 6:20 to 6:50 pm. The guy who sold me the money order was rude and not polite to me! He sold me a money order for $ 600, I was with my neighbor and she also had to buy a money order, she went up to him to buy her a money order for her driver's license, he told her that he would not sell a money order, we asked why he said that we were in the place! We told him that we were separate and that she has a different driver's license, then he didn't sell her a money order to my neighbor, he closed the cash desk at 6:50 it wasn't even 7:00 in the evening, it says that they work until 7 and he closed it at 6:50 and left! He told me and stressed my neighbor! He heard that we were from Ukraine and he hated us, he discriminated against us! We came from the war from Ukraine, and he made us stress!

I have been shopping at WinCo foods on Olympic street in Springfield,OR for 10 years and they have discontinued the Norbest Turkey in the deli section. It sold for $3.98 per lb and now they only have turkey that sells for $5.98 per pound. I am disabled on a very low fixed income and I find this kind of increase to be abhorrent.

I have been shopping at a newly opened Winco. Please understand that I am a CFO of a large company in our town. I wrote a check to Winco and it bounced. This was an innocent mistake and I took care of it immediately. I talked to bookkeeper Sarah and I ask her to run it again...the answer was NO! I can't do that and she continues to tell me that I am also banned from writing a check ever again In that store. I will never shop in this awful store again. I have been tried, convicted and harshly judged all in one swoop!!! How nasty is this?

I've been waiting years for the Eugene property on north Coburg Road near Beltline to be redeveloped.
What's the delay?
Don't hide behind the excuse of city and state obstructionism. I know there's too much of that.
Damnit, just get going on the project.

Winco does not care about their customers or laws that are in place in the slightest. We have pictures of all of the people who were violating the 6 foot distancing and the mask mandate. For some reason, winco seems to be under the impression that their corporate policies are above state laws and safety mandates. They WILL be turned in to the state for their lack of responsibility and we'll see how much the "employee owned" business likes losing money on huge fines and threat of losing their business license. Has always been a pain to shop there anyway since they never have more than 3 checkstands open, with lines clear up the aisle, back to the meat department. They obviously don't need my money any longer.

Winco
Tiya customer service representative

Made a racial comment to another customer do you know why I did that?

The customer (in front of me) answered yes! I know why you did that. As a two hour conversation about the customer who was in line (which was me.)
I was never addressed. (appropriately) that I should not put my groceries on the conveyor belt Until after the other customer was completely paid and bagged her groceries.

So while they were talking about me and conversing I said "I'm more than 6 feet away from the other the customer." Then the two women (employee and customer ) started talking again and said they're red lines on the floor for a reason instead of addressing me. I believe this is the most unprofessional conversation I've ever seen with somebody who is working for an employer..
So while they were talking about me and conversing I said I'm more than 6 feet away from the other customer. Then the two women started talking again and said there are red lines on the floor for a reason instead of addressing me. I believe this is the most unprofessional conversation I've ever seen with somebody who is working for an employer.

Then she waited an extra 2 minutes to ring me up to be passive aggressive. But when the person put all their stuff on the conveyor belt behind me who was Filipino she never ever said anything to that customer. So I asked her are you going to tell this customer the same thing you told me she kept her head down and didn't respond for over 30 seconds while the woman kept putting her groceries on the conveyor belt. She pretended to act like she didn't hear me she pretended to act like she didn't see it to keep her head down this is the most inappropriate behavior I've ever seen.

I've shopped at Winco several times and it's interesting because, when the person is paying they've always told me to put the stuff on the conveyor belt so I believe there should be training done so each customer service representative does the same thing and do not rep sent the company in strife. From the point of pain to loading at the very end of the conveyor belt it is more than 6 feet. But to bring my groceries up to the front of the conveyor belt on purpose and then to ask somebody do you know why I did that is completely unprofessional and inappropriate. I truly feel the customer service representative was trying to get me to respond in a negative manner or say something inappropriate. Customer service representative tried several times to engage me in a negative connotation .
That did not happen because, I am a professional.

All lives matter no matter what color. I'm 1/2 Hispanic I'm blonde hair blue-eyed and my last name is Quintana.
My granddaughter who's with me is half African-American: and Hispanic.

My granddaughter asked me why is that woman treating you that way grandma. (5 years old)

And when there were still people waiting in line and I was bagging my groceries TIYA went to help the woman Who check out after me.

Why isn't Winco requiring vendors stocking shelves, and customers to wear masks in CA, when the governor is requiring it. Shame on WinCo

June 26th midnight mandatory face mask was made legal in Salt Lake County, Utah. My brother and I were shopping at the store located approximately. 2100 south Main street South Salt Lake City (located in Salt Lake County, Utah). I asked one employee about wearing the face mask and he satiated only needed to be worn when on the clock. One wearing over mouth only a few wearing masks and the rest not wearing maska at all. None of the stockers we were by showing respect to customers regarding social distancing. Pretty discussed with management not answering my call to addresss these issues so here I am. Expecting feed back as I am planning on posting this on social media. Oh yes I am also disappointed Winco at least this dtore does not respect their patrons enough to follow the law.

INEXCUSABLE. Went shopping today. Not a single employee with a mask. Called the Eagle store and commented about the lack of masks. Answer, "Ok" and a hang up. My friends and I have pledged to NEVER again shop at one of your stores. Guess you're a COVID fatality.

I am a regular customer of Winco in Bakersfield, Ca. I'm not sure I will patron the store any longer after being treated poorly by an employee named Terri. I called to inform her of an incident my adult 21 year old son had after I sent him to by an alcoholic beverage I needed for the dinner we were having that evening to celebrate his milestone in his firefighter career. He took his 20 year old girlfriend, who was attending the dinner, with him to get what I asked for. When he went to check out, he was asked for his ID which he kindly provided. The clerk then asked for his girlfriends ID. Because she was under age the clerk would not sell to him. When I called to ask why my of age adult son could not make the purchase, I was told it was illegal to sell to him when he was in the presence of a underage person. When I tried to discuss the issue with Terri, she became extremely rude and would not let me speak. I'm saddened that this is how she treats her customers and more so, an of age first responder that works hard to protect his community. I'm sure if I went in to purchase the alcohol and had my 18 year old daughter with me, this senecio would have not been played out the same way. I feel he was discriminated against and treated unfairly as well as myself by Terri. Anyway, thank you for your attention. I hope she will be spoken to about her behavior in hopes that she might treat people with a little more respect in the future. Very disheartening to say the least. Karrie Gee :(

made a purchase at Winco Mckinney a few days later i ate some of the cookies i had bought. Had a off taste and texture i chalked up the taste to just having eaten a nice steak. A bit later I noticed a really bad after taste and my stomach started to get a bit queasy. Checked the date of the cookies and they were 2 months out of date. I was up all night because if this. Took the cookies back to the store and at the counter I was given a platitude "were are so sorry" and refunded the purchase price. I though about it and got upset at that time I expected at the least that Winco would have tried to make it right I had not asked for anything. So I asked for a manager and she made no effort except to fill out a indecent form. I was just contacted by your insurance representative and was told in the simplest way those cookies were stocked by a vendor and Winco does not stand behind or take any responsibility for products we sell. We will contact the vendor to contact you. Hmmm! i wonder were i will be shopping now. I used to tell everybody about this store now i will still tell them about this store and how they should avoid it like the plague.

We appreciate you contacting us. Your message has been shared with those appropriate here at our corporate office and forwarded to the vendor responsible for stocking said cookies. Once a claim is submitted to our third-party insurance company, the investigation is solely in their hands - WinCo is no longer involved in the decision making. Should you wish to discuss the findings or decision made, please contact Traveler's directly.

Hi Staff Sadly I have no idea how your Reno NV Virgina St store can afford to lose so much business sales when it claims "24hrs Savings" but only has 1 checker at 10pm Tues 7/30/19 + 15 customers waiting to check out resulting in over half the customers leaving especially when Walmart is only 1 mile down the road :(

I really like winco pocatello. Prices good but several items just made me gag. Namely their name brand milk. As a child we had a milk cow and had the milk straight from her. The taste gagged me and you dont forget it. Winco name brand milk is exactly same taste. Got a huge winco brand ice cream and threw it out after opening and dish up some. Horrid. However once on way home i stopped at Ridleys and grabbed milk. To my shock, same taste on their store brand milk. Taste brings back memories of milking cow early before school but i'll stick to name brand.

This is in regards to the Longview, WA location. I'm a faithful customer at this store and I see more and more dogs that aren't service dogs in the store. They might have them in the basket or walking, either way is not sanitary. I've walked in behind these people and not one person working there says a thing. I wish they would clean this issue up, the last thing I want to do is have dog hair on my groceries.

I recently moved to Corvallis and have visited your Store #0003 on several occasions. Often, I have found this strips of metal, which are broken bristles from the street sweeper that services this business. These represent a tire puncture threat for your customers.

I love the prices and products. To me it seems almost exactly like Costco (for food products), yet I am not buying a yearly membership! Even better selection than smart & final. I am still assessing prices but from a grocery bill of $200, to mostly restock the kitchen, the only thing I complained about was meat prices!!! I love this place so far and am not worried about shopping here in the future.

Winco is very friendly, easy to get to and fast to shop. Prices are comparable maybe a little lower. I'm hoping they got new fidearound carts. Customers are friendly too. Very helpful. Shopping is quick and easy. Open all night.
