  • Support for these eMachines is a non-existant. Ive never been ran around as badly as this company has givin me the run around. Worst pc company EVER...bar none...DO NOT BUY A PC FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I would go without before I purchased another pc from eMachines!

  • I bought an emachines CPU and it broke down after 1 year. Since the warranty expired, I still wanted to fix the CPU by myself, so I called the customer service. I explained the entire problem for 2 hours to this guy named Sunil (obviously outsourced). He gives me a website and tells me that I should follow it. Problem is, the website has nothing to do w/ my problem. Then, he tells me to get help from a local technician. -_- Ohhhh wow, why didn't I think of that? I wasted 2 hours of my life and my energy. What is wrong with these plp?

  • I love this computer. But I will never buy another one and I will never recommend it to anyone.
    The customer support is HORRIBLE.
    To get a chat, get anyone to help me on the phone or email, for ANY help at all, they want the SNID number. Wouldn't it be great, if they told you where to find the number they require from you to help you? What is that? Where is it? I can't even get anyone to help me find what it is and where because they want it first to help me with anything.
    I'm frustrated and really mad. This is not right. I want to smash this machine now.

  • The negative reviews about computers sold from eMachines are correct...This place sucks and the phone service doen't help with problems that you'll have with their product....I"m so sorry that I purchased a computer for my college graduate....save money, don't be sorry like we all are

  • I will never buy one ever aging, mine has done this to me twice in the pass year. It will lode and the screen that comes up is the one that ask to run in safe mode, safe mode with networking and so on. No matter witch you chose it completely resets and goes back to that screen, and when i tried to reset the hole thing it wouldn't load the last 9% it had left to completely reset, when i called support they said i was out of warranty and tried to give me another number, all i needed was the reset button on the comp so i didn't have to use the disk! I recommend do not buy them

  • We bought an eMachine computer for our kids to use for homework and other things. Within 2 months the fan went up and the computer shuts off every 5-20 mins and the volume works when it decides to. I have sent it back and they sent it back in the same condition I sent it in and the Fed Ex number they gave me was not correct so I had to send it back with my own money. I have called them on many different occasions and nothing is working. I am again sending it in. They will not replace it unless you keep sending it in. These computers suck and we will never buy another one.

  • If you can't fix your computer yourself do NOT buy an Emachines. The tech suport is aweful and the computer is aweful.
    Emachines are good if you plan on upgrading them everytime something blows.My Power supply blew, I upgraded.
    Needless to say after 4 years I have an entirely new PC because everything that blew I replaced. Now my system is great thanks to ME not crappy Emachines.
    If you can't fix it yourself don't buy an Emachine because they suck. I got mine for $260 with LCD Monitor that is the only reason I have an Emachines and the case is the only thing left..

  • Do not buy a emachines computer, because if you do you will be sorry. You only have 1 year warranty after that you have nothing no help what so ever you can't email or call emachines they have all that fixed so you can't. They will tell you your serial number is wrong. This way you can't email them. So if you need a new computer don't buy emachines if something goes wrong they will not help you. They will help you if you won't to pay and pay for help that doesn't help its all about money to them. If you need a computer buy a Dell they will still help you.

  • I have owned my emachine for about 4 months. Had the power supply blowout. I replaced it just to find out later that the org had messed up the motherboard. The reply I got from emachines is to send the tower to them and they could fix it. Maybe and oh ya I have to pay for the shipping. More money on a computer that was is only 3-4 months old. When I ask to get more specs on the motherboard so I could just purchase another the script reader told me they can not give that info to customers. What a joke btw et1331g-03w is model.

  • Purchased my computer around x-mas. Up untill today it would print to my printer. Now it says my printer is off when it is on. Emachines says it is a printer problem and he can transfer me to a pay supports system. I thought I already did that when I bought the computer. No offense meant by this either; but, can I atleast get a rep that I can understand when I call. I will never purchase another Emachine again.

  • Awful tech support. I am soo disappointed. My computer only operates in safe mode with networking which doesn't last long, ie. the internet connection only lasts about 3-4 days. Then a restart is required. I can't use the sound. I paid for recovery disks about 2 months ago. I have recieved nothing. I haven't received an answer from the email I sen ttech support either. I like the computer, but I can't believe the support is soo bad. I'm contemplating getting another emachine. I don't know if I want to deal with this kind of stuff again.

  • The Customer support rep I chatted with, simply regurgitated his scripts. I explained that the computer would not boot, and only beeped. He kept telling me it was a monitor problem. I checked monitor on another computer and it worked fine. I was then rushed off like I was too much of an inconvienience to him. I recommend that this computer system and its tech support team be pulled from the American economy (unless you like stuff that doesn't work)

  • Purchased an emachines for my son for Christmas. Hard Drive went bad two months later. E machines said it was damaged in shipping and would not fix it. Also - the language barrier is unaccepatable. Come on give us americans and keep the jobs at home!

  • I bought a brand new emachines laptop in DEC09 for my son for Christmas - 2 weeks after he got it, I had to take it back because the internet would not work. It was determined that the WIFI card had gone bad and had to be replaced. Two weeks after getting it back, it stopped working again - very sporadic behavior... would work, wouldn't work, so I took it to Best Buy where I bought it and they ran diagnostic tests (took over an hour). They found no viruses, no spyware, nothing bad, and determined that the hard drive was bad and had to be replaced. This laptop has only been used a total of maybe four weeks and it's getting the second thing replaced on it. So they tell my that I will have to get a recovery disc and to call the company to do so. I just spent 20 minutes on the phone with someone who can't speak english, to find out that because the system is so new, there is no recovery disc and to call back in 10 business days!!!! I bought this laptop three months ago, but there is no recover disc available for it????!!!!

  • I had the most "FRUSTRATING" experience!!! I was more annoyed with the language barrier, than the fact that after a number of calls my problem still was not rectified. If I said "can you repeat that" once, I said it a hundred times! I would not recommend purchasing this product to my worst enemy. Why is there not any multi lingual tech support personal????

  • i am so pissed right now. i called 8 times before speaking to a person that doesnt speak english. they hung up on me 3 times and finally she told me she couldnt help me at all.

    this is pathetic

  • I purchased an e-machine from Wal-Mart, which is a rebadged Acer. The box, and computer appeared in perfect shape, so I wrapped it and put in under the tree for my wife. When I booted it up the first time on Christmas day I noticed a very small 1" crack in the display. Upon calling ACER support, I was told that it was not a warranty covered item. That is was damaged by me or shipping. I naturally challenged that because the box had no accordian marks, no dents etc. They "the Indian support center" suggested I call back for 2nd level review the next day. That call resulted in rehashing and being told no warranty and that I would need to do another 2nd level review. I returned the computer to Wal-mart, which was gracious about it but did not have a replacement. Knowing as much as I do about computers, I've learned yet another valuable lesson. Acer No! HP, Dell, Toshiba, Sony YES!

  • So far, the 2 phone numbers listed on my tower for support don't even work.. They're out of service or some such thing. All I want is to contact them for another system recovery OS disc, and just finding a WAY to contact them is ridiculous. And I read in one of the commets they gave someone a hard time about getting another disc - wish me luck, for if?when I get a hold of them! ugh..

  • I bought an e627 laptop. When I created an administrator user, it locked me from any admin. access. When I tried to get this resolved through online chat, they told me they could not help me and call I.T support that I will be charged for....I just bought this unit 10 days ago! Where the hell customer service is located, I'm sure the climate is the opposite from where I am. They could'nt give a rat's ass about my problem. They just want to know if its plugged in properly and did I push the button! Emachine customer support is a joke! they can all kiss my ass!!!!

  • I have dealt with acer/e-machines for 5 years now and thier customer service isnt worth the free call. I have had to return 2 monitors and 2 towers ( one tower didnt have the proprer r.a.m it was supposed to have and a faulty harddrive) I have even called acer headquarters to get problems resolved yet they seem to not care about customer satisfaction and keeping people happy. I work on computers for a living and had to tell them what was wrong with thier own machine ( they insisted i was wrong however, I was 100% percent correct). I WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND E-Machines/Acer to ANYONE !!

  • have been trying too get a windows 7 ordered for the last 3 weeks.just keep getting a runaround.many many people keep responding to the e mails i send. they all keep saying s/n no good or machine not reg, or s/n not on file. i have sent and faxed this info along with address phone state county shoe size and sex but all they do is e mail back asking for the same info. 800 help line was used but could not understand the english spoken. good luck, my machine was bought at best buy on july 2 2009.   • this company does not care if it loses customers. they wont even send me a reinstall disc when i talk to them over live-chat. they insist i call a toll number and then disconnect from live-chat. i would urge anyone thinking of buying an emachine to look elsewhere. they are just downright rude and dont care if you are helped or not.

  • Once I got past the automated prompts, the service was very responsive. They registered my SN, which kept getting kicked out on-line and took care of the defective keyboard issue I had.

  • I called and sat on hold for 5 to 10 minutes, but once the live person answered they were very helpful and resolved my problem and now my computer seems to be working again. We have had 2 eMachines and they are good computers for kids. It all goes back to you get what you pay for what do you really expect for $400. If you want a Lexus you don't buy a pinto and expecting it to be the same....
