  • I was denied collision coverage on my car while it sat for 3 weeks in a body shop. Geico had taken collision off my policy because they had misplaced my inspection. I am now being billed retro payments; after the inspection was finally located. I did not have coverage when I needed it and do not believe I should pay for the coverage with retro payments. Customer service says there is nothing they can do for me.

I have been transferred all over and noone from management has taken ownership. Geico has become too big and gready to service their customers.

  • The WORST INSURANCE COMPANY EVER!!! Geico customer wrecked my car and Geico not only was giving me a runaround for days, their collision adjustor for SC (Greg Brown) was rude, unprofessional, and a liar on more than one occasion. When I finally got the car back, there were still small dents left from the wreck, and I was told they were not authorized to fix them because they are small. I was treated like a dumb blond!!! They are just hoping people give up calling them and dealing with their vast lack of professionalism, and leave them alone, and cover the damages themselves.

  • During a storm last week, a massive, 3-story oak tree crashed onto my car, knocking both side mirrors off and bending the roof in from the sunroof to the back, where the entire back was bent under. I bought it one month ago, as a certified pre-owned with less than 20k miles. I'm being told that the frame isn't damaged (despite the fact that the back end is bend down into the side panels) and getting a run-around on getting specific information on coverage and my options here. They answer the phones quickly and politely, but are trying to tell me this is drivable and repairable for $13k on a $35k car, so that they don't have to declare it total. The last time they did this (a car ran into me, bending the side out of whack), the frame never fit again, with rain leaking, the doors not closing, the A/C broken, and driving off-kilter.

  • If I had read these comments, I wouldn't hire Geico. Just last month (July,2010)I went to this Geico local office in corinth city, Texas to get a quote for my home and auto, exactly like the other customer said, Geico agents commit fraud and lie to their customers, they're cheap scums. I was misled with a low rate and bought both policies, about a week or so I received so-called additional premium of $222.10 for the auto, this was plain fraud! I was very upset and called them to complaint, they said that they could only decrease the charge to $140.00. I wanted to cancel the policies, but I didn't have time to shop around, so I decided to keep them for six months, then I will cancel both and never do any business with this "fifteen minutes can save you 15% or more" lousiest company again in my life. Please do not buy anything from this company, put them out of business, they deserve it!

  • Geico agents commit coersion, fraud, lie to their customers and even go so far as to ask you for a high rating. I recently was in an accident not my fault, by a guy with no licens, no insurance. They changed adjustors 4 times in a short period of time. the last supervisor did not ask how I Was, demanded i see her doctor who did not even see me and they decide they do not have to pay for medical. These people hae harrassed, lied to providers and customers and then expect a good report. I will be suing them for their harrassment, refusing to follow md orders, coersion, fraud, breach of contract and abusive practice. They will pay much more than limit when this is all finished. DO NOT HIRE GEICO. THEY ARE LIARS AND DO NOT HAVE QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY DO NOT DO WHAT THEY SAY AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT INJURED PEOPLE. I WONDER HOW STACIE BRADLY SLEEPS AT NIGHT. BEWARE, GET AN ATTORNY AND TAKE THEIR A.. TO COURT. THESE PEOPLE HAVE LICENSES AND CAN LOSE THEM FOR THEIR ACTIONS. EVERYONE STAND TOGETHER AND GO AFTER THEM UNTIL THEY PAY EVERY DIME THEY OWE BECAUSE THEY ARE CRIMINAL. THEY HIRE A QUACK MD WHO HAS NOT BEEN IN PRACTICE FOR YEARS. THERE IS A BOARD OF MEDICINE THAT WILL DEAL WITH THESE QUACK MD'S. IN OREGON THE MDS MUST TALK TO PATIENTS AND ASSESS PAIN BY WHAT THE PATIENT SAYS AND IF NOT THEY CAN LOOSE THEIR LICENSES AS WELL. FIGHT AGAINST THESE CROOKED PEOPLE. GIECO IS RATED DISSAPOINTING. I AGREE A MILLLION PEOPLE CANNOT BE WRONG. THEY ARE WORSE THAN DISSAPOINTING THEY ARE CRIMNAL, FRAUDULENT, LIARS & CARE NTHING ABOUT PEOPLE. CHEAP SCUM.

  • Geico will not pay a fair rate to the collision centers to repair your car. They will put junk parts on your car. They are more concerned about losing a dollar than they are about a quality repair. Do you want people working on your vehical who are being underpaid and have strong resentment about it?

  • During a recent repair of my vehicle. I was very dissatified with the service of my agent. The individual never contacted me and it took over a week before my vehicle was looked at for a estimate.

  • Ive been a long standing customer for over 13 years and never filed a claim until 2010...and have paid too much money over the years to be treated like this. It's a process of assessment and how much they want to spend out as opposed to what they need to do in order to take care of you as the customer. And then they turn around and want to hike up your premium, when they already make billions of dollars a year for free or the just in case. Geesh..are we the customer not valued at all to return to a normality in life after we experience the uncontrolled issues in life such as accidents, stolen vehicles, theft, break ins..etc...we are a dollar amount of revenue for them and they want to pay the least out...

  • My truck was stolen about a month ago from today. My truck was recovered 3 weeks from the missing date. Then the police department where vehicle was seized had my truck for another week. This action thus delayed my beginning repair time. I had a rental the 4th day after my vehicle was stolen...now I on my contract it states that a vehicle reimbursement of $25 per day, or $750 max, or until vehicle is repaired. I went to check to see if that was correct on my policy and would you believe that the website doesn't even read that way anymore. I wonder how and when did it change before or after I asked! Now being that the vehicle wasn’t released from the police department until after a week of seizure now my repairs are going to go over a week past the return of the rental. I called and asked for an extension on rental and they simply stated that we can only provide what’s in your policy and if we do it for you we have to do it for all of our customers. How in the world are you not going to extend it when it is at the companies’ discretion case by case! My case had extreme difficulties that I had no control over nor could change. But I have to fork out of my own pocket to get a rental for anther week since they are more concerned about paying out than assisting the customer to the letter of their policy. They have no real concern for the customer only if the customer pays them and if they can pay out as little as much as possible...That simple…

  • You are on your own with GEICO. I submitted a report to GEICO when a van speeded past me on a one-lane road and hit the flank of my car. GEICO agreed that I was not at fault, though said they couldn't do anything because my policy didn't cover collisions. So, I had to contact the insurance of the other guy that hit me myself. It took them a while to get back to me, and when I did, GEICO wouldn't allow me to see the report I originally filed with them... all I could see is a "Reported Only" status but not the report itself. Their Customer Service Rep. could not understand for the life of them why I might want to have a copy of the report I submitted to them weeks prior for my own record, since GEICO wasn't going to cover the clam. I've only had GEICO for a month, and it's already a nightmare. I want out!

  • I'm glad I'm not the only one who had been a long standing customer with this company only to have them put me at fault for an accident which was clearly a scam. Six females packed in a Ford escort who worked for a cleaning company decided to slam on their breaks in front of me more than one time while driving down an interstate...This was done intentially for no reason but because I swiped their car while trying to avoid them, I become at fault...They switched drivers and everything...The one who was driving during the the time the accident took place had switched seats before the cop arrived. All Geico paid out to them was $500 according to Geico but they raised my rate from $140 to $380 a month. Way to go Geico...NOT! I would not suggest this company to anyone I cared for because they treat their most loyal customers like criminals.

  • I have several complaints about Geico sales practices and have complained at least 4 times about these to sales persons, their supervisors, and via surveys in which I was contacted later about 1 or more of these issues.
This issues in order in which I have become aware of them.

Issue 1 About 8 months ago I noticed I was being billed for a Mechanical Break down service on my brand new 2008 Chrysler Sebring. I called about this $40 per billing period and asked who authorized this sale to me because I would never buy and never have bout an extended or extra warrant for any product. I told and asked the complaint person at Geico that I wanted proof through recorded statement that I made to order this product they refused to offer the documentation I asked for but offered me a full refund for 3 billing periods that this was on my policy.
I said also why would anyone with a full 3 year 36000 mile plus 5 year 50,000 warranties with zero deductable buy an additional warrant with a $250 each time deductable.
I also at that time realized you put this charge on a total separate page in the policy in which it was marked page 4 and page 4 id duplicated the first one is a totaled price of coverage and then a 2 page with this 2nd addition. I complained that this is a legal document and it should not have 2 different pages numbered the same with similar but different information. At this time I asked to speak to a supervisor and all they said was sorry and I would get that refund.

When I got a geico survey in the mail, I filled it out and again was contacted and again I did not get a real resolution to this problem.

Issue #2 About 3 months ago I called Geico to make a simple change to my policy I gad to remove a Niesen pick up that I sold from my policy. When that was done the sales person I was dealing with asked, me was there anything else that he could help me with. after the previous mentioned episode I clearly stated out loud with out a doubt I did not need for him to assist me with anything else and I wanted to end the call.. He then told me that he had to review with me the change I made. So he preceded to tell me he is removing this pickup and that my changes would be a certain amount of money what ever it was and that there would be $ 7per billing period for my additional lock out service on my 2008 Sebring.
Needless to say I flipped out this guy after I told him I wanted to make no changes he tried to add that change without any authorization at all and charge me for it. I again asked to speak to a supervisor who stated that was Geicos policy to the sales staff to sell these items /. I told he I had not agreed to any change and that this sales person was sneaking into my file. Again, I got and filled out a survey and received a call back and as usual I stated my case and got no resolution.

Issue #3 This is the worst of all and took me 16 months to find out I had again been lied to and cheated by Geico . When I purchased my 2008 brand new Chrysler Sebring at Carl Gregory in Johnson City TN, I called Geico to add this brand new car to my policy.
At this time, I got the typical BS Mr. Dunay congratulations at this brand new car purchase and for choosing Geico. When I stated what coverage, I wanted I was told by this person that Geico had just started a new car purchase policy so any new car purchase that it is covered with 100% replacement of purchase price of the car for the first 2 years in the case of a total loss of the vehicle. I thought that was fine and doubted I would not ever make a claim on that coverage but it was there.
Then 5/27/10 came along less than18 moths after that car purchase Someone hit my car and totaled it out due to ZERO fault of my own Now. A claims property adjuster of Geico and his supervisor are telling me to take $ 14500.00 settlement of my $31,000 vehicle or leave it not a penny more. They are telling me that they never sold any such policy with purchase price guarantee. This sales person s the same sales person who put Mechanical Breakdown service on my policy at that time the Geico refunded when I demanded a tape recording of that conversation to prove that any of this was said.

I expect this document to be reviewed by people in charge at Geico and that they contact me ASAP this is violation of trust of my insured and violation of law in 4 cases a policy holder was deceived at best into buying services they did not request the benefits of coverage’s were either exaggerated or flat out miss represented to the policy holder buy some HARD SALES AGENT.

These practices were bought to attention or Geico sales staff , supervisors and survey represenitive many times so do not ever call me a liar again as you have to this point.

  • I graciously helped a young lady in need of a jumpstart. It was her cables and she connected them as I stated I dont know how to. My car proceeded to go up in flames..it melted my grill. Even afterwards I helped her to move her car into a parking spot. I told her i would b making a claim she was fine. Geico said she was not at fault. It was not "intentional"..let me ask what accident is intentional? It was accident that she Geico's client caused...they determined she was not at fault so my kindness i am left with a burnt grill..thanks Geico..ur the best!..NOT!!!

  • Geico will not pay claims correctly - they are crooked! Beware! Don't buy from them and hope you don't get rear-ended or involved in any kind of accident with their insureds! It happened to us - they will only pay 1/2 when their insured is 100% at fault. Look at other web sites: ihategeico.org, my3cents, ripoffreport, geicoblows.com, many others - thousands of complaints online. They are scam artists! Steer clear!

A 25% RAISE IN ONE YEAR, WITH NO CLAIMS IN MANY YEARS, IS JUST TOO MUCH. I'M DONE

    Anonymous 5/17/10 11:35AM

  • Well, I thought GEICO was great until I actually had to report a claim. As soon as I reported the accident I was dropped. It's just sooo wonderful to have insurance that drops you as soon as they have to do their job and cover you. I wouldn't go with GEICO, because while they may cover your claim they will drop you and anyone connected to your policy as soon as they have to do their job.

    GleeBee 5/17/10 9:31AM

  • It's time someone does a class action on Geico claims! Anyone who is their insured they stick up for no matter how guilty they are in an accident. It's just plain fraud!
My daughter was not at fault in an accident, but their insured was totally at fault (made a left-hand turn across traffic which caused an unavoidable accident), and they are trying to say my daughter is 50% at fault. How ridiculous! So I have to take them to court! There are hundreds of reports on Geico about this same thing online - search on it. They are big fraudsters and no one is doing anything about it!

i was rearended by a gieco client and and gieco could not even afford 300.00 for a tire and wheel was told would have to file suit against gieco and driver that hit me 300.00 is not worth it, for this amount of money would cost more in filing fees and then there is lost time from work. this is not a company i would go with not even my ex wifes broom

  • They removed the comprehensive collision from our new car by their own error. They couldn't provide tape of that call. I didn't notice the removal of coverage (we had simply added a car). With our good driver discount, however,it cost us $4,000. They were entirely unresponsive to our situation.

  • A GEICO telephone representative changed my address on their system without my approval or request. I found out that my address has been incorrect for about 1 month. I called into GEICO to request a claim for my truck that got broken into on the 1st of April. The only thing I did was request a claim. Now today when I found out my address was changed the rep on the phone told me on April 1st the call notes said I requested an address change, which is NOT true. So it seems like the representative I spoke with on April 1st. took it upon herself to change my address in the system.

I'm sure its clear how ridiculous this sounds. Enough said.

  • There is a Big Corruption going between Geico Employees and body shops. As I am suffering from these people. I live in Brookfield and met with an accident.Hit and run by UPS truck. I am having Lexus RX-350. I am paying full insurance, i got my right side scratched by truck and with minor scratch on window glasses Estimator put the estimation to change with new ones and they took my original glasses out and put the cheap ones in my car. I talked with Surveyor Ann, she gave me the number of her manager Corey Walash I talked with him too. He said they garbaged the old glasses and they put the new one what so ever made they are, they are good and if i need my real Lexus made glasses then I had to pay the difference that is $550.00 and tell me if the quality of glasses which they put is of same quality then how they are so cheap as compared with lexus ones. they took mine glasses and what they will do put in the other car and charge from them. this is what is going on in this insurance company. They take the original things out from the car and sell to others and put the cheap stuff in other customers cars and says them they put new one and makes them happy. The Geico employees do the corruption like this and they make more estimation value to fix the car and fix it in cheap and after getting the money from the Geico they share in between them and sucks the customers and threat them as i talked with Geico Manager Corey Walash. I said him that i will talk to your other managers he said whom you want to talk You can as i am the highest employee whom you will talk with and you are talking with and none else upon him. So Corey Walash told me what they did and how they fixed my car is that way i have to keep and they will not put my old glasses back either they will not put the Original lexus make glasses either, Tell me guys is this a good dealing, Moreover my right head light was broke from inside where we tight the screw in the body, instead of changing that light with a new one they put the Super Glue on it and again refix in my car because they made estimate of light and ate the money of the new one and put the old one. This corruption is goin on in Geico, So I never recommend anybody to have Geico Insurance. Very worse experience with Geico

  • Very Bad Experience with Geico
Even in hit and run by UPS truck I got my Lexus RX-350 hit all right side. Geico even knew they will get more then the loss frm UPS people. They fixed my car By putting glue on Head light right side, Put some cheap quality window glasses instead of Lexus Glasses, when talked with Geico Manager Corey Walash, he said Lexus Glasses are expensive and they will not put the new Lexus glasses rather they will go for those cheap ones which they put now. Please tell me what is the fun of Geico Insurance then, Why not we let our cars fixed by ourselves from private body shops in cheap if we get our cars fixed with glue and cheap stuff.I think no need to go for a insurance like Geico

  • After a car accident we had the car was taken to the auto repair shop that Geico deals with. It has been over three months in the shop and every time we have called to see when it will be ready they tell us "the end of the week". The claims adjuster that is at the shop will not come out of his office to speak with us or even to look at the car. When we call him on the phone he can never take our call and says he will call us back but never does. Not even once! He also underestimated the cost of the repairs by 1/3rd. Saving Geico from totaling the car.

  • In spite of having an eye witness that geico's customer ran a red light and totaled my 2007 Cobalt, they refuse to pay the damages. They have NO OFFICES in Oklahoma and no claim agent or investigator came to see about the wreck. Their Dallas office has some idiots in charge who think I'm the bad guy and their customer is a liar because if she had entered the intersection on yellow, there would have been NO accident. She admitted to me and the officer that she "saw the yellow light" she sure, did about 350 feet away, over a hill, behind a long fence.
They refused to pay even after the Oklahoma Insurance Commission sent a form outlining Geico's failure to conduct an investigation or talk to my eyewitness. I wrote the chairman of Geico, Mr. Nicely, a 40 year member of the company. So far my letter to him has been unanswered. The accident occurred on Nov 17, 2009

I have called several times per week and each time I was told the adjuster would call within 1-3 business days. The only call I ever received was from an agent that said I would receive a call from the adjuster in 1-3 business days. That call never came.

The response has been the most disappointing I have ever had.

They had done nothing and a small fender bender is now showing rust and will continue to deteriorate as I wait for a cal from GEICO that I don't expect will come.

  • I have been with GEICO over 34 years. Dec 08 a deer hit my car. New Century in Winchester,VA put a new front bumper on. They got sparkle paint all over the windshield. I will not come off and is dangerous to see thru on a sunny day. They tried to wipe the spots off with a solution. The spots did not come off. New Century didn't replace the front light on the right side which the deer hit. I had to go back for that. Recently I requested the third time that Geico replace my windshield. They refused. It isn't my fault the deer hit my car and it isn't my fault New Century employees got paint on my windshield. I have not had any accidents. Why pay for insurance if they will not pay for damages done to your vehicle. Their customer support stinks! I'm shopping for a better company.

We have evidence that the other vehicle is not stolen, they conspire , and have false proof that it is stolen in order NOT to pay us, our damages is worth 6000. mY VEHICLE was hit at 1 am, no one saw the accident,we are at a lost right now, but I will fight this matter, I am disabled without a vehicle, I never filed for a claim, this is my first. This is injustice, scam and robbery.

  • Geico customer service is beyond horrible. Their customer rear ended my 75 year old father on a freeway and Geico is trying to deny the claim. My father was injured. The other vehicle had to be towed from the scene. They are giving him and me the run around because of his age. Pray you are never their victim and don't buy their product. Bad behavior should not be rewarded. Put them out of business - that is what they deserve.

  • I have had good service with Geico at times and other times it has been unbelievably horrible. The problem seems to be their inadequate training and their companies dishonesty...

One of the scenarios has been that I'll call and tell a customer service rep that I'll be paying on a certain date, and to please notate it... They then tell me they have placed the information in their computer, and that all is well...

Then when I call the next time to pay, I come to find out that there IS NO NOTATION ANYWHERE. MY SERVICE WAS EVEN DISCONTINUED ONCE... that was until I'd made enough noise and complained to various departments.... IT took me half a day of my time to straighten everything out.

Another Scenario: I'd had an accident which wasn't my fault. Geico had even told me that it wasn't my fault. All of a sudden a couple of months later my bill went up substantially.... I called and they told me that the accident was my fault. I was so angry that I called many departments, and after a whole day on the phone, they told me that the accident wasn't my fault... and lowered my car insurance bill to what it should of been... YIKES. What a pain!

  • Geico wow-shame on you!! I was in arbitration. They stop payment after I was in a MVA. Yes, They sent an examiner to look at my back. I could not understand one word he said. He told me to lean against the wall and felt my shoulder. Went back and told Geico I needed no help and never no injections. Wrong I had 24 injections. I could not walk, stand, nor sit or lay for periods at a time. They owed me over $12,000.00. They called my attorney wanted to settle for $1,000. OMG I will never ever get insurance from geico again. Do not trust them!! Make sure to have a darn good attorney. Thank God for my great attorney.

  • I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER OF GEICO AND THEY CHANGED MY BILLING DATE AND AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCTED MY PAYMENT A WEEK AHEAD OF TIME WITHOUT WARNING! I AM A NEW CUSTOMER AND WILL SOON A PAST CUSTOMER! SHAME ON GEICO

  • There are no adjusters available on weekends, just sales people. Adjuster did not return my call or email for almost two weeks. Each time I called, I was given a different answer and most of the time both answers were incorrect. People answering the phones seemed young, poorly trained and inexperienced. Their solution to my having trouble getting a rental car because no one was available to authorize it at Geico was to "borrow a car from a friend." Settlement offers were extreme low ball. Adjusters were argumentative and unwilling to negotiate in good faith.

  • I , have never felt so humiliated in my life before this day of our lord, October 18, 2009. I had a "customer" representative call me a lier, indirectly ! Nevertheless I lying , because he is also a member of the same banking institution and he , I know they are pretty good about sending funds " referring to navy federal credit union. Never mind the fact that he is being very bias. I'm outraged! To have had to endure such ridicule from a person. Harold Pettit needs learn the corp values of phone eidetic . I want to know, does geico use a gender and racial profile. If so it should not be on a person policy.

  • My husband is in the United States Air Force and we are stationed overseas. We were hoping to get insurance from Geico. We've both had 2 car accidents when we were teenagers, but it was over 3 years ago and they are completely off of our records. Geico gave us a great quote, said they would insure us, and everything was fine. The next day I had 2 very rude voicemails from a man named Ron who works at the local Geico office who gave us the quote. In the first one, he was saying he could not insure me, and he was "sorry, so so very sorry." (Very smart ass as he is saying this) The second one, he is saying he CAN insure us, but due to my driving record our payment would be more expensive. He then called me again and told me everyone at Geico was "very impressed with my driving record", chuckling as he says this. (Note the sarcasam once again) He continued to tell me that I had a violation recently. I told him I didn't, and he continued to argue with me. I DID NOT have a violation recently. My last car accident was over THREE years ago. HE IS PULLING THIS INFORMATION OUT OF HIS A**. He then told me, "Look, we can insure you. Try not to hit anything else, okay?" I told him he was being very rude and my husband would call him as soon as he returned home from work, then I hung up on him. I then called my old insurance agency back in the states who could find nothing of the violation he was talking about. I also called the DMV and they couldn't find anything either. After that, I called an 800 number to file a complaint and the woman I spoke to was very nice, thanking us for our service to the country. I also spoke to Ron's wife, who apologized for her husband being such a mess up, and who works at a different local Geico agency. She rechecked my driving record and found N-O-T-H-I-N-G on a recent violation. Pretty much, don't go through Geico in Mildenhall, England. Go through Lakenheath. It's not everyone in Geico Customer Service who deserves to go to hell. Some of their CSR's are jerks, while others are pretty nice. Have a nice day :)

  • I had an accident on Aug. 29, 2008. I have been a Geico customer for years and years. It was not my fault. I was hit behind by a 3 time DUI, but Geico still has not settled with me. My attorney says, Geico is trying to only settle with customers with pennies on the dollar. I pay them almost $300 a month, every month for years. And now that I have had an accident, they don't want to pay the claim. This is rotten business practices, and believe me I have been waiting for 11 months for my settlement to be done, and Friday 10th, they pulled out of trying to pay me, and now won't. I have written State of Florida Insurance commission, my attorneys, and Geico. I will not be silent. They are cheating me and many others. For every day I go without my full settlement, I will figure out some other way to get "their" attention and the public's. Next I think I will contact the television "rip-off" departments and see if they will investigate and let the public know what crooks they are. I am angry, hurt and disgusted at their business practices. Geico has thousands and thousands of customers and if they rip off just 10 % of their customers, that is a whole lot of money people are getting robbed of. They just prolong, and prolong the settlement until people just take whatever. Well, I won't! I've paid my dues, and I want what I am entitled to...the WHOLE amount.

  • I was in a fender bender. I called Gieco. The accident was my fault. I spoke with Baron (Tucson) and his supervisor Nikki. I have rarely seen this type of customer service. I was treated like a million dollar customer. He was polite and put my needs over the companies. He had all of the solutions I needed and took excellent care of me. Honestly, I expected lesser service with my inexpensive rates, Baron proved me VERY wrong. What a wonderful experience, I will ALWAYS be a Gieco customer, plus I love their commercials!

  • Geico is the absolute worst auto insurance there is. Been with them for over 17 years and have never had an acident that was my fault! Everytime I file a small comprehensive claim they turn it around so they have to pay nothing...claiming the damage was a collision claim ..see then the deductable is higher..then they get the estimate way down on crappy third party parts and used crap. Always a jerk from Arizona Gieco office that is thousands of miles away making decisions...they have no agaent or aprrasier in my state!! But they always make ME send digital pics of any damage and I have to do all their work!!They are arrogant and try to cover their own asses all the time and they just prompt you to file a complaint with the state...which you should do as it hurts their ratings! These poeple who contact you on the phone are trained to scew you but good. Idiots out of college from some dumb ass school in the hills...never again

  • Recently, Geico raised my insurance premium rates based on the results of controlled crash testing in specific regard to my vehicle. Being that Geico maintains the right to increase its rates at random based on hypothetical criterias and scenarios which are completely unrealistic, I maintain the right as the policy holder to recieve more and better coverage for my vehicle that is in question. If I have to pay more, I should receive more to validate the increase of my premium unconditionally. I feel Geico is taking advantage of an opportunity to extort money from the clientbase. There is no reason for this. It is offensive!

  • I learned from bank of america website that I will get discount on my autoinsurance from Geico since I am a customer. However, in my policy center, it seemed that you only asked me to make payment instead of giving me the discount that I should have. There is no link for me to put in the information of my account in bank of america, even though I already enrolled in the ebill and epolicy. I felt very disappointed about your service. I will never purchase any autoinsurance from Geigo anymore.

    Ye 10/27/08 3:46PM

  • Geico quoted an amount to insure a used vehicle that I purchased at a higher cost than the car note each month. I went to another insurance company - Geico sent me a letter stating the policy was cancelled. Now they have a lawyer harasing me saying I owe them the balance of the policy from May 30th to June 8th. They originally cancelled the policy on May 30th-they are a rip off.

    Anonymous 9/21/08 7:03AM

  • It appears that GEICO's customer service site does not provide any mailing addresses for reporting problems encountered with local GEICO representatives. It seems odd that GEICO corporate management wouldn't be interested in how their local offices are representing them, especially when they promote customer service as one of their attributes.

    Anonymous 9/10/08 10:41AM

  • I called today to drop one dependent off my policy and they are charging me an additional $140 a year because #2 child will now be the primary dependent? Sounds like an unreasonable excuse to get more premium out of his policy holder. Well 'scuse me, Geico, auto insurance is just too competitive. If you can't do right by me, guess I'll have to go insurance shopping. I'm more than ticked!

  • I am cancelling GEICO after 18 years of being an excellent customer. Their people have made us feel like a crimial for the last time. Can not get to managers, they convenently hang up or let my calls go to voice mail. NEVER call me back although they have my number. I hope they lose more customers like us as we are a couple out of about 10 million Americans. And we all feel the same.

  • I would like to thank the GEICO service Manager Hector Clarke at DACARS AUTO REPAIR EXPRESS and Terry who took my initial call to GEICO on July 12, 2010 for their expert assistance in taking care of me after a minor fender bender interrupted my wife's birthday. Even though the repair was minor Hector refused acceptance of the body work twice until it was perfect and they both followed through to make sure that I was fully reimbursed by the other insurance company for the cost of the rental car. Thank you!

  • After being a customer for a little more then two years with no claims I changed insurance companies to save some money. My new insurance started five days after the month began with Geico and I was charged $69.34 for 5 days of couverage. My regular monthly payment was $114.57. They say there is no penalty for withdrawing from geico but thats not what I see.

  • I've had GEICO for a few years, and hit a deer last year with my 04 F-150. Caused about 1000 dollars of damage, and the claims process was simple. I was able to reach somebody at 11pm on a Sat. night, and explain what had happened. GEICO sent an adjuster, who immediately confirmed that I had hit a deer, and arranged for repair at a reputable local body shop. The truck was repaired and I didn't even see the bill.
My insurance rates never went up.

  • I have been with GEICO for a lot of years... Today, I needed GEICO'S help when my wife happened to be stuck in traffic with her sister's car which had stalled on her. This happened while she is visiting in Orange Colunty, Ca. My wife was at a loss but called me. In a matter of less than 15 min. GEICO's Emergency Dept Rep, Miss Shanetaa Gibson, provided emegency service to someone who was really in despair. It was the professional reaction one expects but seldom receives but I did!!!! Thank you Gibson, and thank you, GEICO! You are STILL NUMBER ONE IN MY BOOK.

Employees like Jeffery need to be acknowledged from the company. If he could have paid for my insurance I'm sure he would have.

  • I am extremely happy with Geico's customer service. I've used them three times for road service in the past three years and all three times they have been consistent with great customer service: from the staff taking the initial call to the tow truck driver. It's truly amazing how a national company can keep the appropriate parties in the loop when a local company can't even keep track of one service repair man. Geico's training program and communication skills are definitely top notch. You must treat all your employees well because it has a trickle down effective to the customer...just AWESOME. Keep up the good work!!

  • Fantastic service! A 10 in every way.

I spoke with courteous people, who were patient while I looked up answers to questions and did their best to make me feel at ease.

They took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I understood the claims process.

I especially liked that I was not on hold or on the phone forever trying to get to a real person.

  • I have been with Geico for 10-12 years. I have always been so impressed with the customer service. There are so many insurance companies that say that they can beat Geico's price - but, I can't imagine that another company could match the customer service!! I work for a large satellite company and am responsible for the service provided by several Call Centers on the East Coast. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW THE TYPE OF TRAINING THAT GEICO OFFERS TO PRODUCE SUCH EXTRAORDINARY CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. IF A MEMBER OF YOUR TRAINING DEPARTMENT HAS A FEW EXTRA MINUTES - I WOULD LOVE TO TALK WITH HIM/HER !!

  • 4/27/2009: GREAT JOG GEICO! I have been a GEICO customer since the 1960s and it's been all good stuff. Recently, a deer ran into the side of my Mustang GT. Everything GEICO did was perfect. CSR Mindy Miller processed my telephone report and she demonstrated a very professonal, helpful, and caring response. Rudy Tuesdale was the GEICO adjuster and he was GREAT recommending that I consider using GEICO Auto Repair Express in Florence and explaining its repair guarentee. GEICO's Bobby Henderson and Danny Jenerette at Auto Bodyworks of Florence (Auto Repair Express)met with me at the repair facility and agreed to use genuine Ford parts without hesitation. The accident happened on Tuesday and I had the Mustang back the next Tuesday. GREAT job GEICO by a GREAT team of customer representatives. s/ John Harlow Fork SC :-)

  • GEICO CUSTOEMR SERVICE TEAM: I just wanted to compliment, once again, the outstanding customer service I received this morning when I called in to renew my auto insurance. I don't remember her first name, but I believe her last name was "Pancake" or at least it sounded like that. Anyway, any time I have had to deal direct with a customer service rep at Geico over the past several years, I always have the same excellent, friendly, polite customer service. I am also in the customer service industry so I understand and appreciate all they have to deal with. Make sure to forward this to management, because I feel your customer service team deserves a great round of applause!

  • I fell that I have gotten great response from Geico. My old auto company was charging me double 208.00, I am now paying 105.00 I am not the best at math but it adds up for me. The service was wonderful and I feel that it demands respect. As for the commercials, with the savings you get you can now invest in TiVo. Just fast foward.

  • Thank goodness my experience is different from those that have posted here. I have been with Geico for several years, after switching from State Farm (highway robbery!) I've had one claim that was dealt with swiftly. I've contacted Customer Service and am able to talk to the right person to help. I hope I don't jinx myself by making this positive report, but I've not had problems with Geico and unless I can find cheaper insurance, I'll stay. (I live in an area where car insurance is basically OUTRAGEOUS and can be as much as a car payment, per month)
