I had charges on my account that I never made and they used up all my store credit. My billing address and phone number were changed. Also a credit card (not mine) was added to the account and charged. The above number works spectacular as long as you press 0 four times to get a person and ask to be connected to itunes secturity. They helped solve my issue quickly.

Very similar to the commenters below. I noticed unauthorized charges on my bank statement and called the above number. The initial rep told me I have to do it via email but I insisted that I heard that the apple policy changed and he transferred me to Itunes security. They took the details down, put me on hold while they conferred with Itunes and then came back to tell me the charges will be reversed.

5/31/12 I found charges to my debit card from Itunes that I did not make. My first attempt to call Itunes support ended in failure as the rep told me there was no phone support for Itunes. I went back online looking for help and could not find anything. I tried the number listed here again and when I got through I asked for Itunes Security. I was promptly connected. The rep I spoke with told me that this is a rather new department and some Apple reps are not aware that these issues are now able to be handled by phone. My issue was resovled promptly. If you are told that it has to be done by email press the issue (politely) :>)

Got through to a customer service agent pretty quickly who ID'd the source of the billing and was able to provide instructions on how to keep it from happening again.. Good job Apple.

Excellent service using this number! $200 in fraudulent charges. On hold for appx 2-3 minutes, rep answered, took my information, put me on hold or appx 4-5 minutes to get hold of an itunes rep. Came back on and said my charges would be reversed in 3-5 days. Rep was very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. I was worried after reading all the reviews!

UPDATE:
Got through using the phone number above! Was transferred to the security department. Found out my card was hacked! Many more purchases had been made since my first posting. The security team was of great help. All my money will be back into my account in 3-7 days. Very thankful!!

I contacted the support team at 800-275-2273. And to my surprise they were able to chat with the Itunes tech team and enable my account. I was very happy and pleased with the service. Thank you.

The support team answered the phone and helped me right away. Last August, some charged 500.00 worth of games to my iTunes account and it came from paypal. The paypal people reversed the charges and the Apple people removed the purchases...but missed one. I called today and that last game is being taken off my account so I will be unlocked and able to make purchases again.

I had three fraudulent charges show up on my account, totaling over $100.00. The representative that answered my call was very helpful and refunded my money (all though it does take 3-5 days to go back in your account). He also made sure that no one could use that card number at Itunes again. I also called my bank and cancelled the card. Thanks Apple for your help.

I CALLED ITUNES ABOUT AN ISSUE WITH MY MUSIC DOWNLOADS. MY CALL WAS PICKED UP WITH LESS THAN 3 RINGS AND THE REP WAS GREAT!.. MY PROBLEM WAS ALSO RESOLVED :)

I just called 1-800-676-2775 for two unauthorized itunes purchases. Had a great experience with the customer service agent and security agent. Both were very polite and my refund will be was issued and be posted to my PayPal account within 3-4 business days.

Ok so I had trouble like a lot of people have been complaining about with purchasing things on itunes. I had money in my account but it kept asking me for billing information and so I couldn't buy anything. It's a really simple fix. I thought i was going to have to put my credit card info or my Paypal account in it for it to work, but instead all you have to do for payment is select "none" and then go down to where it says your name. There is a little things that says "article." Put in Mr. or Ms. or whatever and then it should work! I just bought a song and am listening to it now and I didn't have to put in any other information than just Mr. Good luck people. Hopefully you read this.

i paid for my itunes card with a 25$ gift card and then the next day(today) they sent an email to my mom saying we owe 17$?

I was given an Itunes card as a gift. I was stupid and didn't read the instructions carefully and I scratched the back of card too aggressively and completely rubbed off the back of the authorization code. The numbers and letters on the authorization code were completely ruined and unreadable. I thought the value on the card was lost.

But I emailed Apple Customer Support, gave them the serial number of the card and in about 24 hours I got an email with the recovered authorization code. I plugged it into I-Tunes and my balance was restored.

No problems at all. My daughter downloaded apps that i didnt approve of and i notified itunes via email and got a response less than 24 hrs. Within 3 days my money was refunded and all is well. A person named Cerin took care of me and answered all my emails withn a few hours. Awesome cust service. Thanks itunes.

I had a similar issue with erroneous charges and called customer support and received fantastic service and a swift resolution from an agent name Kristin. She was very professional and empathetic to my concerns. She managed to get my charges reversed and eased my concerns about future fraudulent activity. I have had my account since 2007 and have had no other issues.

Ok for all you frustrated customers with billing issues
if you have fraudulent charges contact your bank. if some one stole your credit card and went on a shopping spree at walmart would you contact walmart? no you would want to contact your bank it has nothing to do with the company that the charges are from the bank will take care of it.

also itunes the software is supported by this phone number apple supports itunes THE SOFTWARE NOT THE STORE think of the store as a totally different company like if walmart has a subway inside of it get it now. and there support is handled primarily online at www.apple.com/support/itunes

I had the same problem as others regarding billing but they immediately took care of things. I'm disappointed that it happened in the first placed and I don;t purchase as much as I used to but at least they left me satisfied with the resolution

OK, so I used the # above and also had to hit # several times before being put on hold for a LONG timne, but when I finally got someone they were very very helpful. They helped me all they could and then took my email to send me a case # and gave me a direct line to call back in the event my issue wasn't resolved. Also, they said to try 1 800 MY APPLE to get somneone next time...GOOD LUCK!
