On September 14, 2023, I first reached out to Speedy Cash for the possibility of applying for a loan of $5,000 with them. What seemed to be a helpful and expedient process, soon proved to be something contrary. I've been with my bank for over 35 years and have never had any issues dealing with them, but that was about to change.
Speedy Cash asked me on at least two different occasions to change my user ID and password. This was the first of a few red flags I saw. A deposit of $999 was made to my account, so I thought this to be proof that the loan process was moving forward. They requested that I purchase four gift cards under the plan to build my credit. A HUGE RED FLAG!!!
Following this, I found on September 19th, my checking account had been frozen and put under restriction. My bank informed me that the bank Speedy Cash was using informed them that the check deposited in my account was fraudulent. I spent a good part of the morning of September 20th, at my bank's local branch, where they were able to resolve the problem and open a new account for me.
Previously, while the process was underway, Speedy Cash was calling 4 or 5 times daily. However, once their dealing was found out, I haven't heard a peep.
I'm not looking to malign the entire Speedy Cash organization, but the office based in Pittsburgh, PA, has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and I wanted to help others by being forewarned about their practices. I was able to repair things with my bank, but this was a scenario I never needed to be part of. It's so very unfortunate how some people scheme to take advantage of others at their most vulnerable point. Regardless, I won't be recommending this company at all.

This people rob old people's money on there last payment cause they did it to my husband. His email said last payment July 2 and the money was in there they always took it right away on last payment they never took it and later on about a month they took 800 after he was on his last payment which they never took it to begin with ,I keep telling him he needs to report it.

I set up an Ach through my second bank account and they said it would take 3 days but the very next day they charged my debit card and said they don't see that but I informed them I have the proof and they told
me to email it to them or fax it after I did that I ask the rep to verify they received it and then was told it would take 3-5 business days for them to look at it so now y'all was double paid and I have to wait 3 days for y'all to give me my money back.....So I wouldn't recommend nobody to make a payment online if their local store is closed because if you use your checking account they still will draft your debit card as well and you would have to wait for them to reimburse your money

Teller TWX from speedy cash 146 in El Cajon California was quite rude in my vistit to pay/reloan, as i walked in she looked around her computer at me then went back to whatever she was doin. There was no greeting or "welcome in" , waited for a couple minutes and she finally asks are you ready, so I go to the counter and begin the process of paying and reloaning. As she gave me the dates that I could loan for the dates were for the middle of the week so i asked if i could move it to a friday or saturday, she quickly reclaimed "your already on a 2week loan"the tone in her voice was belittling, ive come in early almost all the time and still get it for the friday or saturday. My paydays fluctuate from time to time so that day or 2 (thursday/friday) ensures that im not late and your company gets paid. I dont know if she was having a bad day or was really just judging me as i came. But it was really not the customer service I have experienced in the past.

You seriously need to update your system I spent 2 and half hours in store just to renew my loan and I was the only one there at that time. I mean at the very least give the stores a credit card machine. There is no reason they have to call a pmt in then wait for it to post. And that's just the beginning your computer system is archaic and needs a total overhaul. I can't even imagine if they had more customers in the store than me. Do you not understand that an outdated system is costing you money and customers who can't or won't wait.

Your speedy Cash location at 10404 Venice Blvd is the worstly managed store. There are 4 people working at 6pm on a Monday but only 2 are helping a constant line of 10 people.

I am on a fixed income, my payment every month is $240, l pay this amount with no problem. I don't understand why your company is changing me an extra $30, this month. I am told that this payment was due on the 30th, my govrrment don't come until the 31st. I don't have extra money to give away. I would appreciate if someone would call me. Please.. Thanks

I went into my Speedy Cash in Salina Kansas to get some MoneyGram and checks cashed and they refused to cash them because I was sending it to my fiance overseas my fiance that I have known for years they refuse to cash even though the checks are good

I was contacted by speedy cash corperation said i was approved for a 5000 dollar loan they got my photo Id as well as my social and i never recieved my funds thats no way 2 do bisiness one persons name is adrian smith the guy from accounting named keith cussed me on telophone and thays not good business tjey are probabally scamming me after i got upset they called told me i would have 2 go to walmart or walgreens pay 200dollars for voucher their number i will be contacting my attorney as well as the BBB and im holding yall responsable for allowing scammers to use yalls name 2 swindel people now these phoney ass people have all my info u need to put a stop to it my credit score is 580 and my wife and i really needed the help not appreciated at all im contacting the BBB and My attorney sombody is gona pay for this my name is Daniel nolin my phone number if its still on come monday is 334 468 4642 somthing has got to be done thank u they missled me had i known they werent legit i would have never gave them my info now i dont know what were gona do

I was a customer with speedy cash. I got a loan . paid it back. There was 2 diferent time the money was taken out of my account. Have bank statements. Then all of a sudden I get a letter from collections . Ive PAYED THEM. IM STILL IN COLLECTIONS AND THEY ARE NOT DOING A THING ABOUT IT. EMPTY PROMISES.....

good afternoon. the reason im contacting headquarters is because i got a payloan advance for a while now.i work graveyard shift and live in duarte ca. i get out at 6am and dont have a car i take 2 buses to get to 11000 lower azusa rd, in el monte ca .until they open at 8am.but sometimes they have 15customers in line because they have 3 representatives but 2 of them are taking phone calls giving information on the phone so we end up with one person helping everybody. they start helping you and they stop to take care of the phone. i asked them why? if we have been waiting on line for a long time and is not fair for us customers and the answer was that the corporate has to give a priorety to the people on the phone it does'nt make sence . why?now they want us to recommend new customers?? but to be honest i can't it will make me look bad. i seen so many people walk in and out. you have lost alot of clients do to this problem. also they have this manager inside her office that either she is eating or doing god knows what. but i worked as a manager before and i tell you if i see alot of people in line out of coutesy to the custumer i would get up and help out. as a suggestion only it will be nice if they could assign a single person to answer the phone only the phone. and the rest can help the custumers.thank you and i dont like to complain but is so rude and annoying to wait so long in line and they are checking other peoples informations while you wait to finally get your turn after 45min to re-loan and to be honest it makes me feel like i never want to come back. thank you for taking your time reading my concern.

Terrible! 800 percent interest!!
I got a loan for one thousand dollars and required to pay 330 dollars a month only interest! So this means if i pay 440 dollars a month for ten months i can pay off a thousand dollar loan.. think before you do this, if you'relate on a payment they will file charges and arrest you while addung thousands more in legal fees
