After a friend recommended E-Trade I moved some assets from Vanguard. He raved about the support. But after a few months the asset transfers were still not complete. The support was terrible. I got the runaround and they kept providing clearly incorrect information. Eventually I asked my friend about his great experience versus mine, and he told me everything had changed for him too and he had already moved his assets out!!!

ETRADE Customer Service reps are the rudest most "annoyed" reps I've ever dealt with. I've called several times trying to use my debit card to withdraw my available cash to withdraw and my card never works. Chat is unhelpful - never the list of topics I need so I have to call. After multiple calls, multiple hours of hold time when they finally do answer the phone they are so annoyed to even talk to me. I explain whats happening and they sigh loudly and deeply even when asking for my name. Then immediately put me on hold forever. When they do speak to you - it's like they just can't be bothered to answer any questions or help what so ever. If you hate your job so much get a different one!!!!! I'm so glad to be getting out of ETRADE and moving money somewhere else.

Etrade is the worst broker I have ever dealt with and I have 10 accounts with 5 different brokers. I tried to transfer some of my money from etrade to fidelity because etrade doesn't do int'l trades. They cancelled the transfer but didn't tell me, they only told fidelity. Two weeks later I got a snail mail letter from Fidelity telling me the transfer didn't go thru (a different transfer from TD Ameritrade went thru in 2 days) so I looked at my etrade acct. It said it was "processing the request". I called twice and neither person knew how to transfer money from etrade (the company they work for) to fidelity. Really! Note that etrade makes it VERY EASY to transfer money in to them! After an hour on the phone with the second person (45 minute wait to get a person! and the people were nice and tried to be helpful but didn't know the basics) before the person could resolve the problem it inexplicably transferred me to a recording asking for my feedback and I really slammed them. Then I transferred all my money from the etrade acct to my bank which was already linked to them. Etrade customer service is the worst ever! I will never deal with them again! I suggest anyone who cares about their investment money to do the same!

As a business school professor I am horrified shocked and dismayed at the extremely poor customer service at E*TRADE we have all of our money invested there and at this point I plan to leave a trade in search of better customer service this is deplorable

It's impossible to reach someone in order to do stock a mutual vontade 90 minutes to 2 hours is so unbelievable I'm sure that's why a lot of people open it with Charles Schwab and Fidelity in Ameritrade not what each raid in staying on the phone for 90 minutes and cannot do any trades for my fiance I will not open up another account with E-Trade

Terrible!!! No customer service. I'm locked out of my account because of an error on Etrades end. No chat support, no email. You have to wait on hold fir two hours to get to talk to someone. And yesterday when I did that they didn't help! My account is still locked. My money is unable to be used. It's locked up. They are the WORST!!! I definitely am thinking my money has been stolen

Account opened recently but still shows in process. Unable to contact customer service. Phone lines are never answered multiple times even after waiting 90 minutes, unable to chat as that is never available and cannot email them, so basically stuck.
Luckily I didn't transfer any money, so will be closing this as this type of customer service is not a good start

ETRADE is the worst financial institution I have ever delt with. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY, they won't give it back without a fight. I have been on hold with Etrade for over 6 hours today trying to get my money. All they keep doing is putting up road blocks to block me from withdrawing MY MONEY. There are no alternatives except US Mail or waiting on hold for one of there incompetent, lying representatives. ETRADE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HOW MUCH OF YOUR TIME THEY WASTE, Save yourslf some aggravation and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH YOUR MONEY. DON'T Waste your time with Live chat, doesn't work, just like the rest of ETRADE professionals (JOKE). IF there were something less than a 1 star I would give it to them.
Funny I read through the other complaints and there is a common thread. THIEVES is a good word for them. All I want is my money. Do not give me the same bullsh** responce that you give everyone. Call me and make this right.

Worst company EVER. Can't trade. Can't close account, can't transfer money. Over 4 hour wait times for customer service and if you get someone, they can't do anything. Someone sue these jerks.

There is no customer care email ID. there is 1 phone number mentioned "8003872331", but no one picks it up. also there is no online chat service. Basically there is no way that we can get any customer care help. It is terrible.

E-Trade has the worst service ever. It used to be responsive when I originally opened the account but now you wait over 1.5 hours to get someone to answer the phone. I am going to dump them.

A couple of months ago I bought CMI suicide calls. The stock closed out of the money. 3 minutes after the close the stock shot up a few dollars. I was now in the money. I called etrade to exercise. I was on hold for over an hour . when someone finally picked up, they didn't know how to handle it. He put someone else on the phone who said I was too late. By the time I was done arguing to no avail, he had the nerve to tell me I was 5 minutes late from exercising. I called numerous times to tell them that I was due a fill. They just kept putting different registered reps in the phone to blow me off.
Another time Etrade got me was once again I had suicide calls in BLNK a couple of weeks ago. I bought them on Friday expiration. I waited all day foe the stock to go up. Then I see that ETRADE sold my calls for 30cents. 3 minutes later the stock shot up 1.50. They just sold them out from under me and then the stock rocketed just as I suspected. Thats why I bought them. The registered rep told me that ETRADE can sell me out whenever to protect themselves. I had enough money in my account that even if I reneged they would have been covered. Im tired of these lame excuses. Such a coincidence that they sell me out right before the stock made a major move. He said the algorithms made them do it. Bull. More like they had a buy order and knew it was going higher. This is 2 times they royally screwed me. Once again the registered rep just gave me a bunch of lame excuses. I will be pursuing these complaints.

Was on hold for 1:32hr to be transferred to be on hold for another hour just to be told that I could not buy a stock cause they did not know anything bout the compnay. Ahold have just stayed with fidelity's

E*TRADE has to be the worst organization. After 9/11 the organization was up and running within ten days. Unlike other organizations you still aren't organizational after 8 months. Your C/S, telephone tree and lack of staff is the worst. Plus they is no way to discuss my issues with a person since you have closed location and disconnected their telephone numbers

I was looking to open an E-Trade account from abroad as an American citizen living in Germany. I called a man named Mario Gurra who told me to send over my information to his email digitally and that it would take 2-4 business days until I received a conformation. He also gave me his phone number and told me to call him once I sent him everything. I proceeded to call him and he never answered. I was only able to get into contact with him through contacting customer service. He kept coming up with excuses about why the application couldn't be completed. He was a total jerk and very arrogant. I will be putting my time and money elsewhere. I am disgusted that E-Trade uses such unprofessional people. I would recommend not putting your money into the hands of a company that puts people in charge who are clueless.

Straddling is a poor choice for trading stocks. Customer service is very bad the only one worse is Robinhood Both will be difficult to reach and Robinhood does not have a phone number. Trade customer care and support is not supportive and will fee you for every transaction.

I started with 3000 then 60000 with AMAZON MALL TASK PLATFORM. i wanted to withdraw my proit they demanding 90000 commission to release 13000 USDT That already showing that withdrawal completed but not received in my account. "I had a withdrawal issue with them and couldn't get my funds when i initiated a withdrawal, They ask me to pay 20% upfront fees, I did all they asked of me. It's not so good if everyone complains about a particular issues and nothing is been done to correct it, Except we use external recovery companies like FASTFUNDSRECOVERY before withdrawal issues are resolved. It's fraud to just wake up and decide to block my account for no reason, why? they kept telling me stories about verifying my income, when did you guys become the government? I was finally able to get my funds recovered by the help of FASTFUNDSRECOVERY AT PROTONMAIL COM , You can use them if you in such situation.

Scam!!! They will succeed in convincing you with their tricks to believe them and put your hard earned sum by promising you 100% guarantee and at the end you will end up getting nothing and they keep demanding high fees when you ask for a withdrawal they can never keep to their promise after convincing you to invest a huge sum amount with them. I went ahead to seek help to claim my money back. They are sometimes a pain but if you work with them to find an answer they HELP LOTS! They called VISA to reactivate my card and fix everything up! Plus, they double check everything! One of the best customer service!
