Trying to leave a review for everyone interested. I'm a service plumber by trade and live by customer service. ADT has fallen short in every aspect, my camper was broken into and the motion sensor camera pointing directly at my camper had ZERO recordings for 5 months. Paying 60 a month for my family to feel safe in our home. Customer services will always say a supervisor is always not available and If you want to cancel it took over an hour of waiting on hold to speak with someone, only to find out to cancel for their services not working I have to pay over $400. They could care less. Look into other options if you want a company and read all reviews which I didn't do because I was in a hurry. I completely regret signing up and and honestly I'm willing to pay 400 so they won't receive the extra 200 to finish out the 3 year contract which is outrageous to begin with. I never leave reviews. I just wanted to cancel peacefully and call it good with the damages done to my camper ( I have theft protection ) how long will that even take. Hopefully this reaches the right people. There are a TON of better options. I will certainly be shopping elsewhere. Literally the main reason people get security is to feel safe and protect what is theirs. 5 months of no footage? I'm out

I really wish I had read these reviews because they are a rip off and the system doesn't work properly I was told it would work with my internet but it didn't so I can't get sound on my front camera alarm and I had to just except what I got you can't get out of the contract at no time without paying hundreds of dollars so don't sign a contract get one from Amazon

ADT is a joke. Forgot about security as they moved to the Dominican Republic and took their assets and our money with them. Crooks will always be crooked. ADT is to be commended for being the most visible crooks for law enforcement to deal with! ADT is a gang dominated scam that didn't bank on sophisticated legitimate law enforcement over sight. You ADT clowns are soon to have a real full disclosure in front of all of us. Laugh now, you and your crooked comrades won't be laughing later! FBI has no sense of humor when it comes to quacks like ADT. I .

ADT used to be a very good customer friendly and service oriented company but now they don't care about there customers. Many Many times and including now when your ADT equipment is not working ADT will not get you a service technician out for weeks and sometimes over a month while your security service is not working but will demand you to keep paying the the service charge. I would strongly recommend that anyone that is considering using ADT as there security to find someone else . 10 to 15 years ago ADT was as good as they came for home security but now for me it's been the absolutely worst due to not having near enough personal to address concerns due to equipment malfunctions. ADT demands me to pay while my service doesn't work. Do not use ADT until they replace there CEO with someone who really cares. Very disappointed in what used to be a great company 20 years ago to what they are today, absolutely a terrible customer service company, find your security any where but ADT. I, too, wish I had read these comments before buying ADT security system. The system has given false alarm signals on and off since day one, ADT "customer service " has been AWFUL. We have spent hours and hours on the phone, with the final straw today, a call with 7transfers over nearly 2 hours. Now they won't even let us cancel our service because have a contract.

ADT tech supporters are horrible! I called twice to try to tell them that backup battery is bad, both of one lady and another man have no basic technical sense at all, it just wastes my time about one hour to try explaining to them.

Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They said I could transfer my home system from San Antonio to RGV. What they failed to tell us is that they were going to tackle another 5 years to the contract. I am now moving back to SA, the Equipment is ours but they won't come and uninstall the equipment. Since ITS OURS, We still have to keep paying for it!,this is ridiculous and the new home owner does NOT want the equipment! What a damn joke and I have been a good customer, no more. Building a new home in San Antonio and not using this company ever again!!!!

Do not sign with this outdated company, the equipment you pay for is garbage and the doorbell cam doesn't record it takes snapshots for example my son will leave out the front door to start his car and come right back in the house and the camera won't pick up him coming back in the house and I had the ADT technician tell me the reason is the video doesn't record again if it thinks it's not capturing new activity, the system always has something wrong with it and ADT doesn't want to come out to your property unless you pay a service charge infact everytime you have problem they want you to fix it yourself pay money for them to come out, long wait times and the contract is 3 years which is too long and I've called customer service several times with complaints but they don't care infant each time I've complained about how the service and the equipment is a piece of junk I'm always ask to spend more money to upgrade or try a different equipment etc... if you want a security system that will help you and possibly your neighbors as well then don't call ADT

On hold for over 2 hours.
When answered, had to jump through hoops for a sales rep who had offers and alternatives, and patronized me. (CSR: Jerome)
Right when I was FINALLY able to cancel my service, this jerk transferred me to "relocation services" and said he would stay on the line.
Once connected, Jerome was no longer there, and some new CSR was ready to talk to me about all his offers and market ploys.
I just wanted to cancel, they charge 75% of your remaining contract to cancel.. you think they could afford to treat people better than wasting 4 hours of their life JUST TO CANCEL.

This company is BS. The ONLY thing they did for me is install faulty equipment, which created a false alarm, which they charged me for the labor and service to replace! Under warranty! It's absolute trash.

The sales rep will hound you, badger you, and stops by your house several times a week after business hours, interrupting dinner and whatever just to sell you their service.. which if you see above, is costly, unproductive, and difficult to cancel.

DO NOT BUY. ADT is trash.

When I called to cancel I was disconnected 3 times then told the cancellation takes a month to process, so you can not cancel for 30 days forcing me to pay for 2 serviced.

Tried to cancel your service because it has never worked properly and at 73 years old, I am not about to get up on a ladder and try to fix connections and try to find plugs. Want a real service department. The "video" doorbell has no sound and never has. Had to hire an electrician to come and run a wire for electricity. Then ADT came back out but still couldn't get it to work. No sound so unless you have a dog, you have no clue if someone is at your door. Try to get help, go to the website but it doesn't answer your questions and unless you are techno savvy, you are SOL! Tried to cancel and the very nice woman on the other end spent over 40 minutes trying to convince me not to. She offered everything other than to pay me to keep the service. Then I'm told I owe $450 for a system that has never worked and I can't uninstall it. It shouldn't be this hard to purchase something, pay $50 a month for it, have it never work properly and then you have to pay to end the contract and pay to get it removed. Have A Nice DAY ADT!

Our smoke alarm went off tonight with no evidence of smoke. I called the same ADT number I have always called to report a false alarm. After waiting 5 minute, I was connect to billing. They transferred to to a tech service and I was on hold for 15 min more minutes and the call was finally dropped. This happened two more times. Well, needless to say, we soon found the fire department in our driveway. We were very embarassed and left wonderind what the heck happened. We were more concerned about never reaching anyone to report it to even more than why the alarm went off with no evidence of smoke. We have been ADT customers for a very long time and this is the first time we have failed to have a security person to answer our call. Very disappointed and feel very bad about the fire department coming for no reason. What's going on with ADT?

I had been calling and waited for more than 45 min on the phone and no one takes my call I need to canceled my service ASAP is more than 1 time I have been calling them I need to cancel and they never answer I'm so mad at them

Do yourself a favor and seek another security company before using ADT. ADT's service is far below average. I'm contacting Vivint, who I hear has much better service and equipment. It'll be worth paying the cancellation fee.

ADT is fine as long as all you do is send them money. But when something goes wrong the train flies off the track. It takes hours of wait time to reach a person and then they promise a callback. When that comes it says press 1 to reach a person because you are very important. All the ones on my phone yielded nothing so it threw me back in the hour plus queue to speak to a person
The issue with my system is not one a customer cam correct. So I am required to pay for their truck roll. Wow. Just wow. The worst customer service ever.

I have been with ADT for over 20 years and I have seen the customer service decline over the years. Why is it so difficult to speak with an ADT rep? And, when you're connected you're in the wrong department so when you get transferred the phone hangs up on you.

I recently switched from ADT Pulse to ADT Command system - I have to say it sucks! The reliability just isn't there. Tonight, the battery on the main panel is dead, which I didn't know until the other panels were saying "standby" - I try to call ADT for help... instead during the hold times I fixed it myself! I ended up pulling the battery from my Garage main panel (I have a separate ADT Command system) and it turned back on. I haven't even had the system for 6 months and the battery is dead already and the monitoring center did not receive notification that my system was down. What am I paying to be monitored then? At this point, I am completely frustrated because I have spent so much on this new system and it sucks!! In addition, the ADT customer support sucks... well, their answering phone system! I will need to call to see what my options are - if I can get my money back or switch back to the ADT Pulse system.

Horrible service. The wait times are crazy long and then, when you finally get to talk or chat with someone, they can't even help you. Then you have to schedule a virtual appointment with a technician. They need to stop lining their own pockets and invest in good customer service.

I purchased Blu from ADT, and was very dissatisfied with the product. From a poor app to camera that wouldn't function, when needed. I purchased a so called Chime, and still usless, although they promote extension. This company is misleading, and not worth attention.

My system has not worked for a very long time, yet ADT keeps collecting my fees every month, without fail. I have called, I have had an appt when no one showed up, I just called them 3 times this evening alone. 1st time the wait was at least 67 minutes; 2nd time the wait was at least 79 minutes. The 3rd time, I just hung up. How are they protecting their customers? Why are so many customers calling them for technical support? Something must be wrong with their system.

Unable to get anyone on the phone. Wait time is 120 minutes or more to get someone to talk to about making an appointment for a failed system. I would not use them again.

I have been with ADT for over 30 years at various locations and the service was always very good, but since I moved 5 months ago, the service has deteriorated.

Very unhelpful with replacing my batteries, ordered wrong batteries and took 30 minutes on hold to cancel the already wrong batteries.
