I called Liftmaster tech support to find out they will not assist homeowners with troubleshooting error codes. This organization sucks because of my experience of their product and now no customer service. Mark my words, I will never buy their product again.

I have spent four plus hours over two days with their retarded phone help desk regarding a 3 month old garage door opener which has a bad sensor. They keep talking about short wire tests, and then want me to cut the wires from the sensor and do another short wire test to re-confirm. It is as if they want to keep you going around in circles so you give up - which is what I did. LiftMaster 1 - Loser User 0!!

I spent $30 of my own money to buy the goddamned sensors.

This will be my last LiftMaster

Had an LA412 2-arm driveway gate model installed 3 yrs ago at a vacation home for $1500. After about 1000 cycles during that time, one arm went defective and I was quoted $1200 to replace! I escalated my concern to a tech support supervisor but she refused to offer any compensation for the defect. Liftmaster claims my incident was an outlier (1 to 2%-er scenario) but if this were true, they would make it right. Clearly, the quality of their products has significantly declined, though their prices have not! Will never buy a Liftmaster product again. Not recommended!

Service is nonexistent. We had a problem and we're directed to the local service center and Pawnee Illinois. They don't answer the phone. They don't return calls. They don't return emails. They don't do anything at all if you need service so if you buy one, you better hope it doesn't break because you're gonna be stuck with itparticularly if your service comes out of Illinois

I bought a Liftmaster Smart garage door opener. This opener has a camera and via an application called MyQ, you are supposed to be able to remotely monitor when your garage door opens and closes. With a subscription, you can even get a recording of these events. Sounds great doesn't it? I bought this device because I wanted to know when my door opened and closed while I'm not home and wanted to be able to see a video recording of this. Well, it doesn't work properly. You get a recording sometimes, not others... their system doesn't even consistently log each time the door opens and closes. Motion events don't work properly and the timestamp on motion events is wrong if you live on the west coast. Customer Service staff are not knowledgeable. You get a different answer each time and when you escalate the problems to their Survey Department, they don't resolve anything. I paid a lot of money for this opener because I wanted these features but they don't work properly. I would not recommend purchasing a Smart Garage Door Opener from this company.

I cannot believe David still has a job as a customer service representative of the largest garage door opening company in the USA. He should be reprimanded for how he treats customers and if he cannot find within himself to be kind and considerate he should be immediately fired

Just bought an 8500 Mc liftmaster, install was complicated but manageable. However, the set programming and force up and down was impossible to complete.. thought I done something wrong or out of step . Door would go up but never down ( using the wall controller) 2.5hrs of re-re-programming, still the same function. So I logged on to customer support told em my issue and would I have known that they don't deal with issues I would never have bought this. So after I told em they referred me to a web site of Mr Johnny fix and repair small engines..and I had to pay for their knowledgeable prognostication. (For a small fee)

I have a 3 year old Liftmaster 8160WB that is rarely used. I could almost count the number or times it has opened and closed the door. It is now acting up and will intermittently not close all the way before reversing back to the open position. Extensive troubleshooting and parts replacement has not fixed the issue. Also, my wifi router was replaced and now the opener will not connect to the internet anymore. Worked fine with my old router. ALL of the MyQ and Chamberlain "playlists" were followed and none worked. The only thing it can be is the opener is not compatible with the new router. Good luck finding out a list of which routers are compatible with this opener. REALLY bad product, and terrible customer support. Not to mention how awful the MyQ APP is.

The myq android app registration is a pain. The app forces you read terms and conditions without an intuitive way to navigate back to complete the setup. After several attempts, I ended up with a partial registration that would neither let me sign in or start over using the same email address. After several frustrating hours dealing with their support chat bot to live person, then via a phone all, I was able to complete the registration. The myq website is horrible as well. Likely developed by a 3rd-party hack shop in BFE with no quality control. The website pop-up menus are unusable as they automatically close one second after popping up. All in all, the app an hardware work sufficiently, but I would not recommend myq que services or products.

Worst customer service experience ever. Unbelievably frustrating. Garage opener keeps failing to work and they claim they have "good products". They sent a new opener and then stick you with the installation few and the opener still doesn't work.

Very POOR customer service! We Prepaid $3,000 to include expensive shipping for what we thought was the best Liftmaster gate opener. We were happy to finally receive the unit that was 4 months late, but after installed, the tech could not get the "Learn" function to receive the signal from the brand new, included remotes or the MyQ internet. 1st we contacted the dealer we purchased from, who said we needed to go to Liftmaster for help. After MANY calls into Liftmaster customer service, they stated they were familiar with these learning errors and sent us back to contact the dealer we purchased from and follow their procedure. The dealer is now sticking us with having to purchase a new control board plus pay for shipping and labor to install. PS: this Liftmaster unit has NEVER worked since we received it! We never expected a reputable company like Liftmaster to play hide the coin under the hat game. I'm not complaining about a product that failed, I'm stating that the company that built the product is not standing behind their unit, new out of the box. PS: I wasn't going to add this but I was startled at the logic when Liftmaster tech support 800 528-2806 said to me after I mentioned the unit was NEW in the box, "Sir once you opened the box it is no longer new!"

The liftmaster gate opener has not worked for over 2 months now. The installer has stopped taking my call. Code 93 cannot be repaired.

8 repairs of my gate opener in less than 6 months. Product seems to be a lemon. I will never purchase a LiftMaster item again.

This site speaks for itself. Without questions the support in commercial will tell you a bald face "LIE" NOT AN UNTRUTH but a straight out lie in a heart beat.

I had a Liftmaster model 8355W(WiFi) installed. I went through the documentation looking for the LEARN button, no luck.. I then pulled down the cover for the motor unit looking for a Red button or a label indicating where the LEARN button is, no luck. I called the installer and they said it was the YELLOW button. They said to tap it once or it would wipe out your hand held openers. I tried to program my cars Universal Home Link button to no avail. The documentation says you need a repeater if it doesn't work!!!!!!My old Liftmaster had a RED LEARN with a label and I was able to program the Universal Home Link in my car in three(3) easy steps. Buying a repeater is just another way for Liftmaster to make more money. If they had built the 8355W the right way instead of cutting corners the unit work without a repeater! Sloppy manufacturing...I tried the chat process at Liftmaster which was a waste of time because nobody ever responded...

I have built my dream home and had the door people pick out my openers before I did my homework. They did not work from the onboard openers on my cars after failing attempts of me, neighbors, family members to program. The sales/installer sent out a service person to find out after months of trying to program we needed another part. He charged us for a repeater and a service charge and told my wife that only one car worked the others were not compatible. He would have never got paid if I had been home. Everything worked fine at the other house openers (Craftsman).We don't have no high price communication gadget its just a crying shame that a door opener will not open it but gadget will. Where do I go from here. I will not spend any more time or money on your solutions.

I had to purchase a Liftmaster gate opener online since I live 1 1/2 hours away from any dealer, and that dealer only sells garage door openers, not gate openers. But after two years of operation, when I replaced one of the batteries on my unit, I received an error message which was not explained in my Liftmaster materials. However, when I called Liftmaster they REFUSED to help me. Instead, they said I had to find a certified Liftmaster technician and pay him to drive out and answer my problem.

Had the MyQ software running on my Liftmaster for a couple of years and when it would not come up on my iPhone I went to their website which immediately refused to accept the password I had for these same years. I contacted customer service via chat and was told to delete my current account and create a new one. I asked why am I responsible to do this when it was their website that was malfunctioning. I was told they are are not telling me just suggesting but they had no other suggestion. Reloaded my account and the next day, same problem again. These people have a terrible website and customer service does not exist.

i called for help on a product, before i reached anyone a questionnaire popped up and i had to take it there was no way to get around it then transferred me to some idiotic cruise line representative. then the lady had the balls to tell me to call the number again and it'll go through but i call again it goes back to this DUMB survey. these people are the worst.

liftmaster door openers for residential customers are junk had one installed and needed some kind of computer board as door was stuck. Had the new board installed same issues with the door. called customer service no help with replacing the complete unit. sending new board again not very helpful. WILL NEVER RECCOMEND LIFTMASTER TO ANYONE.

I called tech support Jun. 4 and talked to Kelly. Kelly was not only knowledgeable but courteous and very patient. She led me to a bad wire and problem solved. I couldn't be more pleased with her help.

I am a user of the chamberlain/liftmaster door openers. I recently had to replace a sum parts.
It seemed after a number of calls with some reps better than others. they had told me different things that were confusing and false.
I did not give up finally I talked on 2/16 at about 7.00 pm and spoke with Ashley. She took care of my problem in about 15 min Ashley should be commended on her knowledge, patience, and persistence to solve my problem You need more dedicated and knowledgeable agents like Ashley. I love Liftmaster. They very quickly replaced a malfunctioning unit that I've had for a long time and loved with a brand new 8360. First, the lady that answered the phone was very friendly and understanding. She knew exactly what the problem was, that the unit couldn't be fixed and how to resolve the problem. She referred me to the reps that took care of service.

That rep (Candice) followed up, resolved the problem and delivered a new one to my door within days. I will be a loyal LiftMaster customer for life with service that amazing. I just wish all companies stepped up to back their products the way LiftMaster has done. Great job!
