Terrible customer service
I bought a TG-6 for scuba diving just before lockdown and the Covid pandemic. i couldnt go to Egypt for 3 years as restrictions but also too ill from Covid to dive. so the camera remained boxed until April 2022. I paired it with the app and used it on only 5 dives, but someone cracked the screen when it was in the soak/rinse pool. I sent it to Olympus to be repaired and screen replaced in May 2022, and when it came back I kept it untouched until March 2023 then opened it, and tried unsuccessfully to pair it with the app while i was packing/preparing to go on my annual holiday. I took it to Egypt again and 4 different people (2 professional underwater photographers) also tried to pair it without success. I used it on 6 dives - no wifi on the device. I contacted Olympus and they said to send it repair. I now get an invoice for £160 for the repair - WHICH IS DAMAGE THAT OLYMPUS ITSELF HAS CAUSED. the camera wifi worked fine until Olympus "repair" had it. Customer service refuses to acknowledge. Refuses to escalate to a supervisor or call me to discuss. Terrible customer service.
