Absolutely disgusting customer service from Optus. They are thieves as charged me for service they never provided. Despite spending days I haven't got my money back.

Rude customer service to elderly customers. They want their monies but when it comes to helping them, they don't bother and treat the elderly like they stupid. When I called the store manager in the Westfield Garden City, booragoon , he denied it on the phone. When I said I will move my parents to another provider, store manager said go ahead. So the store manager was more than happy to lose customers.

I cannot believe the absolute insult this system is from a so called professional company. It seems if I do not want to buy something or pay my bill they don't care Read " give a f..k". The button pressing routine and speech option are a complete joke. I have been awake all night thanks to the internet boxes on my wall beeping every 15 minutes or so and it looks like I will be in the same boat tonight.
I am so sorry I changed to Optus. Capitalism personified.

On 4th december 2022 I rang optus help line. They sent me a 6 digit code so I thought I was talking to optus. They helped themselves to the balance of my credit card.The staff in the local store said THEY don't trust the local site and gave me the number for optus pay bombora. So now iI have to pay my bill manually.3 seperate times I have rung the optus help line through the optus site. Same accent....same laughing and cheering in the background....6 digit codes.Something very wrong here.

Change my plan
And just had to give up
Will cancel my optus and go elsewhere. Canstar give moose a good rating

Hopeless bunch of useless robots promising much taking a lot and offering NOTHING TANGIBLE in the way of actual service. Best described as liars and totally unreliable offering a seriously substandard service. When my local tower first went up around 2017 we got 2 bars and were getting up to 70Mbps data. Full speed 4G should be up to 150 Mbps so they started out at about 40% a Fail to start with. Fast forward too many to count outages and so called upgrades and today I get 4Mbps on FULL BARS. Clearly Optus has rigged the system as I am supposed to be on full speed 4G.

Appalling lack of ANY Customer service.
Robotized Belligerent and unhelpful self service.
Faulty, insecure & nonfunctional unusable web sites.
Record FAR too much personal information that clearly they cant be trusted with.
Their own staff keep dropping out on calls and are unable to call back expecting the customer to constantly chase them up.

Optus is the absolute worst!! They have been overcharging us by double for over a year and a half. Insist we have 2 routers when we don't and never have. Keep trying to get it resolved they are rude and unhelpful. Then they say they'll issue a credit and all that does is keep us locked in for another year. They finally refunded the 1800.00 back then started double charging again. Cancelled and am trying to get the refund of all the overpayments they took out automatically. The WORST!!!!. I'd give negative stars if I could.

Not satisfied with any part of this company. They are only good in charging people and ripping people off. It's ridiculous how you specifically say you don't want something and they decide to charge you regardless. I regret being with this company everyday

Dreadful Customer Service both on the phone for 45 minutes then in the Booragoon Store. Zero support. Assistant on phone had sent us in to the store. Store assistant made us phone Optus whilst in the store. Assistant on phone told us to go in to a store. I said, "I'm in a store!". Store manager wouldn't help. I had an account in front of me. Assistant had name and account number but couldn't match them up. They match up every time I pay the bill. Every time! Manager apologised in a condescending manner, very loudly to assistant on phone for my 'behaviour'. I have moved providers away from Optus. Never again.

My Experience Today In The Optus Store Was Are 0 Out Of 5 Stars.
Customer Service Was Appalling And Alot Of Verbal Abuse From The Salespeople. If You Don't Buy Anything In A Optus Store They Are Not Getting A Sale So Their Attitude Is Get Out If Your Not Buying Anything Because All They Care About Is The Word Money Not Customer Service Their Useless And Pathetic. They Are Bullies Intimidating And I Wouldn't Walk In A Optus Store Again In The Way That I Got Treated And Humiliated From Them. Their Customer Service Is 0 Stars And I Wouldn't Waste My Breath Getting Their Help As You Don't Get It Only If Your Spending Money The Staff At Optus Brookside Mitchelton Are Very Rude, Abusive Andi Wouldn't Recommended Going On That Store If You Don't Want To Be Verbally Abused About Pne Pf Their Products That You Bought Yourself With A Receipt. I Requested A Refund As The Salesperson Took It Upon Himself And Open The Optus Box Without My Consent And Pit On A Som Card In Yhe Device That I Bought And Tjey Had The Nerve To Tell Me That I Already Opened The Box When The Salesperson Did. All About Money Not Professional Customer Service When You Request Your Money Back. I Will Be Taking This Matter To The Ombudsman And Ruining Optus Reputation On A Current Affair.

So after waiting for one hour and 15 minutes the girl I was talking to in south Australia was the most rude person I have spoken to in my life she could not answer questions so her way of dealing with it was to hang up the call.

Just had a dealing with Nellie from Glen Waverley store. My Voicemail hadn't been working for a couple of months and I had it looked at by 2 other assistants who couldn't fix it. Took it in today and Nellie fixed the issue in about 10 mins. Great service.

STILL WAITING!!
My husband put his water damaged phone in for repair or replacement on 22nd August and had his insurance claim approved in store. The store rang insurance while he was there.
After so many calls to your offshore call centre and waiting on my phone for hours there is still no resolution.
The poor performance of your staff is pathetic.
WHAT CAN WE DO TO GET HIS PHONE BACK???????

WE NOW HAVE SOLID PROOF THAT YOUR STAFF LIE ABOUR WHERE THE PHONE IS AND WILL SAY ANYTHING TO APPEASE THE CUSTOMER ?????

Their customer service is abysmal. Good luck getting someone who knows what they're doing and want to buy a plan from them. If you have a problem, no one wants to help you. They'll literally just chuck you back on the on hold queue until the next person picks up your call and you start from the beginning. Trying to cancel with them is a nightmare. If you can convince someone to cancel a service (which is really hard, no one wants to do it so you'll get bounced around for hours), they'll just lie and say it's cancelled, then you get the joy of calling them back again and going through the whole process once again trying to get away from them. Never used to have a problem, but their customer service is worse than Telstra's now.

Deceptive Sales team 383 George St. AVOID them
OPTUS you have just your faithful customer. I have been with optus customers for so long and recently join their NBN plan. Unfortunately there is dishonest practice from the sales team located in 383 George St Sydney and a sales person who just moved to Bondi store.

Don't trust the sales team located in 383 George st optus store. Especially a sales person who now work at Bondi Store at the time of the writing. Very deceptive, no integrity and dishonest practice. I was originally just looking for two iphone 12 minis phone plan that were on special. However, I was encouraged to join the family plan $149 by a male sales person (who now work in Bondi store) and I was told that I will still get Device credits for the two iphone 12 minis. I was shocked to see the recent bill that show Device Credit was not given to both of my phones and was told that I will not get the device credit if I join the Family Plan.

Unfortunately our conversation was not recorded so I don't have the prove. BE VERY CAREFUL to join family plan when device discount offered. Be careful with the sales team George St Store Sydney. Better to deal online- DON'T deal with sales person whose job is to sell products and get commissions.

The stores sales team tend to push people and encourage people to move to family plan. BAD CHOICE!!! NO device credit given to phone plan.

Optus: 10yrs down the drain. Absolutely disgusting.

Too many issues to write about
Fraudulent account in my name.
Bad credit rating due to their mistakes.
Rude customer service.
Cut off after kept on hold for 20mins.
Incorrect billing.
Accounts merged that should not have been.
Accounts changes from personal to business.
Incorrect pay TV plan that was sold door to door salesperson.
Hours and hours waisted trying to resolve.
List goes on...

Canceled 4 accounts so far and about to cancel my 5th and last. Most likely will not return. Trying Vodafone
Let's see what happens this Monday

Optus sucks, i have had the same issue with them for 3 months now. they refuse to help with my issue and continue to play it off like it's my fault and sending debt collectors after me. zero time for optus.

I called Optus on 133937 at 11:11 on 27 December 2019 to receive assistance activating a replacement sim. Concisely, I received a new sim and wanted to keep my existing number. After responding to relevant questioning in addition to other questions by the female team member and before indicating I could activate it myself using blunt and unhelpful tone ... I.e., the responder appeared to lazy or incompetent to assist before terminating the call after asking to speak with a supervisor.
