TigerDirect: Thieves and Liars

Date: 04-06-2022 until 06-10-2022

Issue: I'll make this as simple as possible. We ordered 2 UPS in 2 different orders on 04-06-2022 that showed as "In Stock."
We were given a delivery date in April around the 15th. Order did not come. Contacted cs by phone.
New delivery date on 05-29-2022. Order did not come. Contacted cs by phone - given new delivery date - I asked if this date was absolute and ironclad - they assured me it was.
New delivery date on 06-10-2022. Today is the 10th. I called support and asked them if this order is still going to arrive today - our clients who have been waiting for over 2 months. They said no. New date, the 14th. I said give me a manager. They said they'll call you back. I said no, I'll hold...1 hour and 20 minutes, nothing. Still no call from a manager.

This is the worst customer service and the worst management of a company of this scale I have seen. We will never do business with TD again. I requested a refund for my client. I have no expectation they will actually do it. They have openly lied each step of this process. I have no faith in this company and I hope this dissuades others from ever doing business here again.

Your service suck the sale people lie to there customers I will put this all over until you people are gone!! I will call my news station and tell them how you people lie, my tv for $3000 you can not get the Internet you can not change the station an not adjust the volume some body better call me and fix the problem or I will be your worst customer

I received 2 monitors from TigerDirect Canada. Both had chip/bang marks and a visible crack the width of the frame in the top left corner of the monitors. These are used monitors, not new one. I tried calling customer support at TigerDirect several times but waited over 30 minutes listening to an answering machine tell me how sorry it was for the delay. I have sent several emails to customer support but have not received a response after 48 hours. I am unable to get an RMA number to return the monitors. This is clearly not Amazon I am dealing with and I will not be buying anything else from TigerDirect.

This is my first time buying from TigerDirect.com. It was terrible. I picked the shipping 2-6 days and charged $12 for it. A week has been past, it is not yet shipped.

My order has been sent to another address - actually, in another country! Calling their customer support was a waste: I waited more than an hour on the phone but never got to talk to a representative. So I sent an email explaining the situation, but never got an answer back. The item I ordered was only $31, so I can live with the loss. That's what it cost me to learn not to do business with this company.
So sad - they used to be dependable.

One did not ship but they held my money from Aug 14 till Aug 19 and then would of taken another 3-5 days to process if I did not call them and demand them to release the funds.

Shipped a core i5 6600K to me and the shipper leaves it at my door on a busy street, I call and they offer to refund me money, I accept a week goes by and no money. I email back and the person I talked to flat out lied to me to to get me off the phone. Now they want me to wait another 8-10 days while UPS sends someone to my 4 foot by 6 foot porch to look for the box they left and it will be another 5 days till I see my refund after that.

Since the 14th I have called 5 times. the wait to get to an agent has been 30 min, 45 min three times, An hour and 15 min once and that time the agent hung up on me.

No thanks I am going to call my credit card issuer and dispute the charges. I am NOT at there mercy.

I refuse to do any business with them.

WORST business to deal with! Do NOT buy from them. It's impossible to get in touch with them via their phone number. Quality control of product shipped to me was completely lacking (laptop shipped with zero software on it). Avoid this company!!

TigerDirect is by far one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with. On May 25, I placed an order for 10 HP ProBooks. As of today, June 16, I have not only failed to receive my products, but I have been lied to by multiple TigerDirect representatives. After continuously expressing the urgency needed to get my order shipped, I was put in contact with multiple so-called "supervisors." Several of them lied to me and said that my order would be shipped out that day or the next, and that I would receive an email with tracking information. I have yet to receive any shipping details, and the only confirmation I have received from TigerDirect is that my order has not been shipped and there are no updates. One of the "supervisors" informed me that the customer service department has no way of calling the warehouse, but instead only communicates via email. How can a company stay in business when it is operating this way? I placed my order nearly a month ago, and yet it has still not even shipped. The complete lack of honesty and respect I have experienced has left me with an extremely bitter taste in my mouth. The failure of service provided by TigerDirect is absolutely unacceptable, and I will never again give the company a fraction of my business.

Have ordered two items - one in mid-May, one in early June. Both items showed "in-stock". But in each case, 10-12 days went by before the product was shipped. They claimed it was due to a "system upgrade" as part of their reorganization. But NO company leaves their customers hanging on a lurch wondering when (or if) a supposedly in-stock item will ship. The customer service people are given no leeway to do anything except apologize. There isn't one person who can or will answer the simple question, "WHEN WILL THIS PRODUCT SHIP??" Tiger Direct needs to get their act together, or just plain go away completely.

Ordered product. TWO days later received email saying due to customer demand product was out of stock but will be ordered soon. I called. They said they were revamping warehouse and item was in stock. I complained to google guarante. Tigerdirect emailed said item had shipped. I went to their site and it said still in process. Too many lies. Once a great company, now bait and switch. I cannot recommend.

no control over 3rd party shipping/stock

no control if you use visa check out

at least 3 different call/emails to cancel an order

we have 2 different computer systems, so we don't always see the same information ????

weird double-checking calls ???

this is by far the worst online experience i've ever had.

I have purchased many products from this company in the past, but my last purchase was terrible. They sold me a product they didn’t have and then shipped half of my order. They blamed another vendor for not having it in stock and I would have to wait for it. They also had no ETA when I would receive the part. Customer service was pretty bad. It was one step above no service. I will never purchase from them again. This is what happens when a company gets too big.

Tigerdirect Sells Items That Does Not Have In Stock. And They Mailed Me Any Item They Want , It Is Up To Their Opinion Of What I Need And What I Don't Need. 10 Years Ago This Company Was Fine And Now After This Company Moved Overseas . It Became A Scammer And Cheater And Fraud.
They Even Refused To Cancel My Order Even If They Did Not Ship It Yet . I Sent Them 7 Emails In 5 Days Requesting Cancelation But I Got No Respond, I Contacted Paypal And In 3 Ways Call With Paypal And Tigerdirect, I Requested Cancelation And Money Back, But Nothing Happened. Bunch Of Liars, Jerks . Stay Away , It Is Nothing But A Headache

Recently ordered a TV which was on sale. The box arrived completely opened, and with a big hole cut out in the middle. Naturally I refused the shipment and have UPS sent it back. They will not ship me a new unit but insist that I place a new order. By that time it's no longer on sale. They also will not refund the shipping cost. Now it seems to me that until I accepted the shipment, they are responsible for the unit. I will look elsewhere for future purchases.

Customer service will answer but, doesn't wont to resolve the simple issue, and or a simple resolution.
Its nice to have all the money in advertise, but it makes no sense to have no customer service after the purchase of the merchandise.

I am retired and build custom computers as a hobby. Recently a local business owner and personal friend fried the motherboard on his main office computer. No problem for me - right. I ordered a new motherboard from Tiger Direct that would take his good 775 3.4Ghz CPU, and a 128 GB SSD hard drive that I was going to install the new opperating system on. Since the board required DDR3 memory I also ordered 8Gb of DDR3. I knew when I placed the order that the motherboard was coming from a 3rd party vendor and would take a little longer. But I have had the SSD hards drive and the memory sitting on my counter for a week now and there is no sign of the motherboard. As far as the tiger direct site goes it is shown as still not shipped.
So now I have an upset customer who will probably now not be happy no matter what I do and I can't get Tiger Direct to tell me when I might see this motherboard.
This is terrible service and Tiger Direct does not deserve anyone's business if this is the way they operate.

Short version: I took my desk top PC for repair on a Monday. They tell me that I should get a call the next morning. 2 days go by nothing. I call to find out what the issue is and how it would take. Tech answers the phone I ask if he could look into my issue. Lead tech come back on the phone and tells me that it on the test bench and he thinks it the Hard drive and tells me that he'll call me that evening or first thing in morning. 2 day come and go and nothing. I call them again and ask what is going on with my PC??? lead tech comes back on the phone and tells me that he thinks that the hard drive is bad. Sound familiar? You guessed it! 2 more days and not a word. I called and asked to speak to a manager. A manager come on the phone with-out giving his name and asked me what the issue was. I explained to him from day one what had happened. He puts me on hold for about 5min and comes back on and asked if he could help me. Yes I was put on hold and was waiting for the manager. He replies...Oh...OK! Please hold. About 6min later he comes back on the phone and tells me that it's done to come and pick it up. After 8 days!!!! But worst of all---no apology! I recommend that you stay away from Tiger direct...

I've called them for days stayed on the phone for at least an hour every time just so that I could cancel an order that had been back ordered after I bought it with no email or anything telling me that the item is now on back order. In order to get in contact with them I dialed 1-800-800-8300 then when the recording came on I pressed 0 this is the fastest way that I've found because their customer service is really non existent.

Do not buy from this site I have been on hold for 157 minutes and counting and this is the third time calling and I waited for an hour each time and gave up. Stay away stay away,from tiger direct you will be better off. I am calling consumer affairs and the BBB its that bad trust me people.

Needed to cancel an order. Waited 20 minutes and when I finally talked with someone, she told me their system was being updated and she couldn't do anything (this was at 9:00 a.m. CST). She told me I had to call back in an hour. At 11:00 a.m. I called again, stayed on hold for over 50 minutes - finally sent an email and went to lunch. Came back and called again. Have now been on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes. I think there is no one there....

Yes, it was Saturday after Cyber Monday, but I was on hold for 2 hours, 52 minutes to get an RMA return for my Lenovo desktop lemon that I opened the day before.

I couldn't even get in return chat queue until I selected the chat to buy something; that was only a 15-minute wait, then 30 minutes to get my RMA. Yes, it was *resolved* to my liking.

I had tried online for return, but it would allowed only an exchange.

In the past, TigerDirect was good, but not this time, the first time I needed after-purchase support.

I have been very pleased with TigerDirect; my son does tech support and he recommended them to me because of his positive experiences with them. I am not "computer savvy" so he tells me what I need to order and I have not been disappointed. I returned one item which was a year and a half into a two year warranty and they replaced it without any hassel; they also expediated a computer that I ordered too late (my fault) for Christmas delivery at no extra charge so I would get it in time. I am a repeat customer and will continue to be; and I have recommended TigerDirect to others. I'm the first one to complain when a business gives me less than satisfactory service so it's nice to be able to give these guys 2 enthusiastic thumbs up.
