Cub Cadet grease fittings are junk they should go to the auto store and buy the proper ones

Posted by Rocknrye069

Well I bought a 54" zero turn last year. Was ok except the seat is like sitting on a rock. Anyway I needed new blades at the end of May. I am still waiting!!! So in the mean time I'm paying $200.00 a pop to mow my 1/2 acre front yard!!! I think I am going to sell it if I ever get my new blades!!! Sorry I bought it, should have paid the little bit more for the john deer!!!

Very unhappy with your customer service bought my new couple that xt1 from home Depot with only 17 hours on it pulley was messed up took it in to be service they fixed it within a day still waiting on the warranty people to give them a release I can go pick up my more I paid over $3,100 for this thing and every time I've called I'd get the run around and it takes two to three days it's been over a week from here on out if I have this problem again I will be selling it and buying a John Deere never again will I buy another club cadet anything

They don't call back take forever to answer the phone!! Very unprofessional.

Buyer beware. I bought the extended warranty and they wouldn't honor it completely, with an extremely bad attitude.

The cub cadet website has the honor of the very worst parts search function known to man. Inconsistent results or none at all.
Have been looking for a pto belt. Have used the model, serial numbers and in desperation even tried looking for 54" pro belt.
Even looked for a manual using model and serial numbers......
Ridiculous

We purchased a Cub Cadet ZT1-42E a year ago from Home Depot, during this second year of operation, the battery is getting weaker. Lithium-ion batteries Do loose their torque as they discharge. The first year we could mow our yard (1+acre) on a full charge now it takes 2-2 1/2 charges to complete the same acre. We have tried to contact Cub Cadet Service everyday for the past 21 days and no response. One review we gave gave us a phone number to call and a case number-doesn't work. We also did a live chat which again we got a different phone number and case number still nothing. Cub Cadet sucks!!

If you bought a ZTS1-50 and want to add armrests, be advised you should ask your dealer to install them. Kit comes with clips, 3 per side that must be installed into each side of the seat. To get these clips in, I did not see anyway to get them installed without taking the seat off and removing the seat upholstery first ! Why they dont install these clips at factory is beyond imagination ! I devised another method to attach armrests without the clips. Good Luck

I bought my cub cadet several years ago under warranty After several visits to the shop due to fire shooting out of the hood and all the belts smoking and getting shredded they gave me a new one. Well the new one was no better. The belts flew off constantly. A rep be came out to my house and said "we're aware of the problem." I said if you're aware of the problem why do you put them in stores for people to buy? Well the rep got so mad at me for saying that. Oh well. He got mad because I spoke the truth. To this day I have the second mower and it still throws the belt and I can't mow my yard. I have 3.62 acres that are looking really bad and it's hard for me to find someone to cut my yard for me. I wish I had a good mower to use because I like cutting my grass myself. It's fun to me but when you have an undependable mower it's frustrating. Please don't buy a cub cadet because everyone says that was my first mistake. I agree. Beverly leo

My cub cadet pro 100 is already having Mandel problems I sent my mower to Buckeye Valley to have it serviced they charge me $125 for a tire rod replacement which should have been under warranty they replaced two Mandles and change the blades service the mower and returned it to me it was nearly $500 charge I cut the grass for the first time and I had the same issue vibration and bearing noise
I had to call them back to come pick it up it has been in the shop for another week and they are now going to replace the third mandle which I believe should've been done in the beginning I have a mower from 1996 a John Deere 425 has all original parts runs like a champ I can't believe for nearly $10,000 I have a mower that has to be worked on several times
And on top of everything Buckeye Valley never even contacted me to inform me what was going on I've actually had to call them I just will not be able to return back there ever again I will be doing my own servicing and my own repairs and that's a shame buyers beware

I bought a cub cadet for my husband's birthday from Sappingtons in Jackson Missouri. After only 8 hours the engine blew. It won't go in reverse unless you stomp the break several times. The riding mower has been a lemon from the start.
I wouldn't suggest for anyone to buy a cub cadet product. They don't care after they get your money. ?

I bought my husband a cub cadet an XT1 Enduro series for his birthday.it had only 8 hours on it before the engine blew. We have had nothing but troubles with it since I bought it. Now he's out trying to fix it with stage 4 lung cancer. If he has any problems with his health because of this I'm filing a law suit. We were sold a lemon. It only has 60 hours on it out in 5 years because it keeps breaking down. I'm contacting the BBB. This lawn mower is a piece of junk. There are many bad reviews on this mower. I'm checking into a class action suit on it.
You should be ashamed of this mower. If I get it running its going up for sale.
I guess I better go check on my husband with stage 4 cancer trying to fix it. ?

To whom it may concern,
The intent of this correspondence is to inform Cub Cadet my disappointment in their product and for you to restore my confidence in your product.
The winter of 2016 I purchased from Runnings located in Clay, New York an XT1 tractor with a 42-inch snow blower attachment and aftermarket snow shelter cover.
After using the tractor with the snow blower only twice I noticed the snow blower gear box was leaking gear oil on my garage floor. I contacted Runnings and they told me to return the blower attachment only and they would send it out for repair. I disassembled the blower attachment and returned this huge piece of equipment to the store. They notified me after three months that the repair was complete and to come and pick up the unit. I was grateful the repair was finally completed but the entire process was a huge inconvenience. I was without the snow blower attachment, had to assemble and disassemble a brand-new product and rented a U-Haul trailer to transport the part to and from the store.
My next issue occurred again in the winter. The tractor always started great in the summer but very poorly in the winter. The tractor has been stored inside a garage attached to my home. The unit started easily during the spring, summer and fall months. During the winter it never started and would need to be jump started. I brought the battery to our local battery center to be tested. (Battery World in Mattydale NY). I was told the battery was good but undersized for the engine in the tractor. They a sold me the correct size battery. All has been good since that time. Once again, I was terribly inconvenienced. Imagine the difficulty of jump starting a battery located under the seat with a snow shelter cover.
The next fall I was servicing the tractor as I do every year and noticed that the grease fittings on the front wheels had fallen out being that they are pressed in and not screwed in. I took the wheels off the tractor and brought them to our local Cub Cadet repair shop (Power Equipment) and they put new ones in that fell out shortly after. I now hold them in with Velcro straps.
That following summer the choke/throttle cable bent over and needed to be replaced. Once again, an inconvenience and not something that should have happened.
This brings me to this winter. In January I was removing snow and the blower attachment stopped working. Expecting to replace a shear pin I returned to Power Equipment and purchased new shear pins. I disassembled the blower to find out the shaft at the auger gearbox had broken in half at the shear pin hole. The shaft was broken but not the shear pin! I am at my wits end. Between the inconvenience of taking the machine apart in cold snowy January, learning the shear pin was not the issue and having to be without my snowblower during two additional snow storms I was astounded to learn that the auger gear box would cost me 550.00 dollars, it was on back order and was forced to hire someone to clean my driveway. The icing on the cake I was informed there is no warranty on the 550.00 factory part I just purchased.
I have attached a photo of the model numbers and the broken shaft and shear pin.
Please restore my confidence in your company and product. Before purchasing I did research and thought buying from an American company was a wise choice. The reviews were good and thought I was making a smart purchase. I no longer believe that. I want to brag on social media about cub Cadet but can't in good conscience.

Posted by I'd Never Purchase a Cub Cadette

I called to inquire about purchase of a new 3x commercial unit.. could not get sales only parts.. the woman on the phone spoke overmw, was rude and when I indicated that I was glad I dealt with her before purchasing a machine, cause I sure would never deal with her as a customer she said thank you have a nice day and hung up .. I'd never deal with this business

Purchase a cub cadet 750 challenger in 2019 from a-1power equipment in indiana made payments on this unit thru Shefield Financial after paying it off this year I never received any origin papers of this unit from either the bank or a-1 power equipment. Now cub cadet says they don't know what they can do for me because the dealership should have given me the documents and now we are without title or anything that allows us to resell this unit. I asked customer service to give A1 a call to help resolve this but I was told that they will not provide any help with this issue. Obviously this is not customer service

I have a cub cadet zero turn I purchased at tractor supply and it has never really cranked like it should. (Almost wears a battery out and you have to choke the carb by hand to get it to start if it will start). When you call a service center for cub cadet they say if it's fuel related it won't be covered by a warranty and not to bring it in if you think this warranty will cover it.

Your snowblower x3 is a PIECE of CRAP it is the worst snowblower I ever owned. I have the one on tracks and it SUCKS.it is the worst snowblower ever.

Cub Cadet Sucks. The 3 year warranty is not transferable.
That warranty if the product is quality should be transferable to whomever owns it for the warranty length.
You as a company must not have faith in the product you build !
CUB CADET SUCKS !!!!!!!

I will never buy another cub cadet product again. I have a push lawn mower, had it just under 6 years ,and with in the first 3 years the deck fell apart , it was fixed under warranty, That should not have even happened. Now under 3 years its falling apart again. Your quality has gone to the dogs. I'm telling everyone I know about this issue, so it doesn't happen to them.

On 10/4/21 I opened a ticket concerning the lack of an hour meter/service minder on an Ultima ZT1 42 with customer service. At that time I requested to speak with a manager and was told that someone would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. Needless to say, I have not heard from the manager and the ticket has been closed. The case number was 07226224. After this interaction or the lack of an interaction I am starting to second guess my purchase. It would be nice to hear from someone that cares about their customers and their satisfaction with the product. So far Cub Cadet does not appear to be that company.

I just wanted to write to you to let you know how much my dad loves his cub cadet. He's had it for over 17 years it's been bandaged babied and kicked on and loved and cried over but he won't give it up he keeps making her work and a good job she does. We keep trying to tell him to get a new one but his heart is connected to this girl their BUDDIES. I can't begin to tell you how many belts plugs tires he has taken off put it back onAnd go riding across the yard. I just thought maybe you'd like to hear some good news somebody loves the cub cadet if he ever did get a new one I'm sure it would be a cup cadet but I don't think he's going to part with this one you might have to bury him with it ha ha Ha

I placed an online order and received a message that the transaction could not be processed at this time (no reason specified), but call the CS number. When I called CS she confirmed that my billing and shipping were the same, but then conveyed that it must be my credit card company and that I should of received an alert of some kind. She said check with them and if everything is OK, call her back and they will process the transaction. All was fine with CC company, but when I called back they said I had to wait 10 days before they could take an order from me. Its their fraudulent credit process that has no way out, no manager override, nothing can be done. I could not use another card, no other options existed. I hung up the phone, called mowers direct and purchased what I needed with the CC that for some reason did not work on the Cub Cadet website. The CS rep said that this 10 day interval was there for my protection. This experience is an embarrassment to the company, I will avoid them as long as I can.

I have been a loyal cub cadet customer for over 20 years purchasing tractor, lawn tractor, weed whip and in Sept 2019 I purchased a chlgr750 red. After 200 hours the muffler went I took it to the deal I purchased it from and they fixed it under warranty. At 300 hours it quit running . When I call the company I purchased it from they told me they had nothing to do with cub cadet anymore cause the brand was messed up. I called cub cadet customer support. At 800-800-7310 and asked about my warranty and where I could get it repaired. Travis told I had 3 year warranty on the unit (I gave him model # and serial #). He told me to take to farm and fleet near me for warranty repair and gave a #. 06924495. I got unit to farm and fleet; after week they and told me cub cadet told th
Em the warrant on the unit was a year and had expired. They also told me the engine was unrepairable there was no way the unit could be fixed
Needless to say I was very upset. I would never have taken the unit to farm if I had known the warranty was expired. Additionally being told the unit was unrepairable was very upsetting. I am still paying for the machine. I emailed the customer support center and never received a response. Travis told them he had told me my warranty was expire
F. I understand that, he didn't want to get in trouble
I am asking for one of two things: forgive the balance of my loan. Or give me a new Chile 750 for the amount I owe on my loan

Please respond,
