Dollar General Customer Service Complaints - page 3

The location on 105 outside Conroe and close to Tarkington was terrible. They're of know help. Was trying to check out and use my coupon on phone they were of know help. Because of people behind I paid more for products just to let people get out.

Stupid app doesn't work and the staff is of know help. If there not going to honor coupons then remove them.

Have to admit I live in Conroe where Managers and staff are helpful. This was the first time actually Dollar General was unhelpful and manager was needless to say of no help.

This is a very bad store, they like to kick ppl out who didn't do anything.. Rude employees and there food is old

8.33 for a pack of Marlboro Black 100s.I gave a manufacturers coupon for 2 dollars off a pack.And it was denied.And i was told it wouldnt accept because they are already discounted.Very sad I for sure wont ever buy cigarettes from you guys again and will not buyveey much merchandise either like i use to.You might want to rethink or revamp that policyyou lost a loyal customer.I will only buy in emergency or sale thats it

The DG in our area has 2 self checkouts and one for an employee to check you out. Went there today and needed to be checked out and the lady was very rude because I interrupted her while she was stocking shelves. She didn't even acknowledge me being in front of her and then rudely said what I owed. If I didn't need what I wanted I would have told her to forget it. Need to hire more friendly people or people who want to work.

Every time I come in to dollar general in bowling green mo there a cashier that works there that I noticed she speaks to the white customers but doesn't say a word to me when I come up to be checked out so I will speak to the manager about her

Store 15339: Worst experience EVER! I Went there today doing my normal couponing. Got to the register and it appeared that my card didnt take, so the cashier asked that i slide my card again, and i did and once again the machine malfunctioned. So i checked my account and sure enough i was charged twice. Once with the coupon total and once with a total before the coupons were added. So the cashier i could say was as nice as ever went to the back and got who i assume was the team lead, she comes out not really knowing whats going on or what to do, she calls the 'store manager' on the phone. This lady had an disgusting, and foul attitude from the start, like i was trying to mislead them. She asked the issue, the young lady tried but dont really know herself, so she gives me the phone. I say as calm as ever, hey ma'am, i was charged twice, no receipt came out nor did a decline slip, the store manager says ' oh well there's nothing we can do, i cant believe whats on your phone, it could be a pending transaction and we dont get paid', im like ok that's fair, but im looking at my phone where, its not pending the transaction has cleared. So i give the phone back to the young lady because there is no resolve talking to her. So i hear the young lady say, she said call the police. So i laugh, because im really in total disbelief that she wants to call the police on me and she is the one thats hostile. So then, the girl is like for what, and i ask to speak to the store manager on the phone again. By now the store manager is hollering and screaming on the phone. I asked her calmly why are you yelling and being nasty, she says cause she's off and we are calling her, so i ask, how is this my fault, and she screams st me, ill be there Monday at 8:30, bring a bank statement and we'll see what we can do. But i have to leave the stuff. Im like thats not going to work for me because ive paid twice and you are being rude, so she hung up on me. Smh. I then tell the young man, hit cash and see what happens. Sure enough, the receipt pops out and shows they do in fact owe me money... Moral of the story, that store managet needs to be FIRED for her attitude and disrespect. What happened to satisfying the customer and then threaten to call the police and she is the one beong nasty. Everybody is not meant to be in management and she is for sure one of those people! Do better DG

The DGX store in Indianapolis on Mass Ave has been closed now for 5 days and has a hand written sign on the door stating Cash Register down will open later.
This place is ran as if it's in the hood somewhere verses the trendy Mass Ave area.
Employees are lazy and often rude.
Over a two year period it's been closed for staffing issues also. There is another DGX a mile away on Ohio St in downtown Indy and is a terrific store. I suggest closing the Mass Ave store or get someone who has pride in your company.

Went to store# 17344 Geneva, OH. Disappointed to find only self checkouts in the store. I will not be shopping in this store going forward. I am totally against self checkouts no mater which ones. I refuse to use them...

United States, On how they fat shame customers and employees Kayla Conrad The Assistant store manager thinks it's okay to do so and call someone fat multiple times this person should not be allowed to work for dollar general stores period that's down right rude and nasty and plus putting signs up to make sure people of weight don't come in so they don't get fat shamed and The General manager allows it to fly which in reality shouldn't allow to happen period next step is to report it to the higher ups that's for darn sure.

Stock is falling for dollar general. Wonder why? Maybe.. its cheaper to shop at grocery store chains, fake inflation, yes fake. Covid is over. No ships in the hundreds sitting of shore that can't get unloaded. Truck drivers are back, gas prices are down & yet dollar general downsizes package size & raises the price. That called getting your cake and eating it too. Oops forgot about the loss of coustomer loyalty & stock prices. Chicken noodle soup was $1.00 up to $1.35 you all just raised prices across the board. Dumb. Winn Dixie & a Publix is only 4 miles further and worth the trip on my bicycle. Cant even get the posted prices on the shelves right and if the do, they stack product on the floor covering the price. Do you think i should have to move 12 cases of water to find out how much it cost, or walk from one end of the store to the other to ask a clerk. Nope can't find a price, I'm not going to go through all that crap, I just don't buy it. Don't know if it's corporate or locally, but for the 2d or 3rd in the past 2 years your Saturday $5.00 off sale receipt is hidden in tiny print. Maybe that's just the Butler Beach Florida Dollar General. A pat on the back for this store, don't know how you could have hired so many lazy morons & put them all in one store. It dose seem to be getting a little better.

I am sick and tired of getting over charged for sale items in the dollar general. Maybe it just the one in Prue Oklahoma but I suspect it's not. We have shipped there many times and got to checkout to get a special deal only to find out it doesn't ring up as the advertised price. When you say something to the cashier they just say well there's nothing I can do. They offer to remove the item but don't offer to give you the advertised price so if you want the item you have have to accept the rip off. This is ridiculous. Today it was just a dollar but if 30 people lose a dollar everyday you pocket and easy $900 extra a month. How is this even legal? I will now drive the 30 minutes to another town to go to a grocery store or to Walmart. They have better prices there anyway. Too bad the dollar general is the only store in our town. But I guess that's why our town keeps putting up with it!

Dollar General on Miles at Lee Road. The parking lot is filthy. In the store the new stock is sitting in packing box or crates blocking isles. The is so much clutter the most isles can not be walked down. I felt very uncomfortable like a mice are rat could come out at any moment.

I have a negative review for store number 8919. It was always my favorite but the customer service is not the same. I was ignored when I couldn't find an item I was looking for and today the lady with the colored hair hung up on me when I said thank you on the phone when I called to see if they had candy I wanted. I called and asked why she was hateful to me and she apologized and it was so FAKE. When I got to the store she did not speak and the other lady Jennifer didn't either but Jennifer told me to have a good day. NEVER GOING BACK THERE. MY MAMA SAID SHE WON'T EITHER. PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!! I CALLED DOLLAR GENERAL CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT IT TOO CAUSE I DID NOT DESERVE HOW I WAS TREATED. PLENTY MORE DOLLAR GENERALS IN SHELBY YA DIG.

The dollar general in Rome Ga. (Coosa) store #04703 is by far the worst one I have ever been in. There are isles that you can not walk down. The front window is so junky. It's filthy. All its worth is tearing down.

I purchased 2/% milk from Dollar general in paulsboro twice and they both had a nasty taste it wasn't sour it just tasted bad

I went to the new dollar general on south sandario road just down from Ajo hwy. 86 here in Tucson AZ.
There is a very rude and not ever been social or courteous to customers. Today is Monday 5/22/2023 and it was 3 -5 p.m.
This employee is a young guy with extremely curly brown hair.
He is very rude and I would say not trained well or just dont care , as I have went there several times and observed the same attitude from this one employee. And this time I had to tell him how to bag my items as he put frabreeze air freshener SPRAY in with my frozen fries, milk, candy bars.
And when I said I want my food items kept seperate bagged from house cleaning supplies he just paid no attention until I asked him AGAIN not to put them together.
He is so lazy and will make you wait at the register for ever while he is taking his time on his phone or talking with another employee.
Now let me understand ....this...
He doesn't buy the bags, so why is he so stingy about using them and bagging groceries a proper clean way ? And they should be trained to know how to treat customers and know how to bag the products for the customer. I get much better service from family dollar.
Though I have no complaints about the girls that work at this particular store as they try to please you and always greets you as you come in.
But next time I go into this store and this employee is working , im walking right back out and take my business elsewhere.

I don't know the store number but it's run by some Hispanic lady. The one by the cinergy movies in midland tx. Very roud, cuss when they think customers dont hear( loud about it) not really friendly(don't know if it's cause I'm gay...) and does not help really with finding things. Will not shop again so not worth the gas wastage

This is the worst store i ever visited, my needs as a customer were not met when i needed help finding things and the managers are disrespectful to the workers in front of us. I feel bad for them, I was there when an employee voiced concerns that they had an were brushed off and told not to talk about it. This is very unprofessional and I will be contacting HR. Do not shop here

The store on Beach Blvd. Across from Alhambra is such a dump now. Moldy bread bare shelves and so dirty. One employee that just sits there and watches self checkout even if there are 10 people in line won't open other register.You are recorded in self checkout. Rude employee. What happened to this store.

Wow. Newnan Georgia Hwy 16. Used to be pretty good store. Now just awful. Nasty employees. No dress code. They wear street clothes. Talk rude. Act rude. Just overall disgusting experience.

This is a sorry company they are rude 3ss people. The store in Etna California is the worst bad management and rude employees. I've had employees walk away as I walk up to purchase my groceries and won't see another employee for up to 30 minutes. The manager named Veronica Arceo is extremely rude and disrespectful to the customers. Also the Employee named Ruth Borba is extremely rude and disrespectful to customers and other employees. The whole place seems like a hostile environment and neither my friends and family nor myself will ever shop here while these two work there!!!!

Indianola, Ms Dollar General have very great staff but very bad management. Any time I visit the store the employees are very nice and helpful. However, the manager is never available when I come. I've only saw the manager one time and even then she was very rude. The workers deserve better management for their hard work. Great Staff. Poor Management.
