Absolutely the WORST Company. I canceled their Crappy service January 8th, Returned the equipment Jan. 9th. The reason for canceling, I was told that I could put my TV service on Vacation as this service was our winter home. When we call them to suspend tv they said no. I got a so called Manager She said she could turn off tv and leave internet on. She turned off both. I had no security due to no Internet for the entire summer, We live in Montana and winter home is in Arizona. The Motherfer's Charged me another month service anyway. They kept calling and sending me Bills, Finally they had a Collection Company call, I was FORCED to PAY. I suggest Everyone look for other options STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS.

Beware!! I would NEVER do business with this company again. I was on auto pay, I requested many times to have my bill sent to me as I reside in another state. They were never able to process correctly and continued to bill me even I had tried to disconnect service several times

This is the worst company I have ever had. for the past 3 months they have been trying to put extra charges on my account, I had to contact costumer services and they had to take the charges off bc there was no reason for them. I disconnected and payed everything off and now they are still trying to charge me extra money. After I payed everything. Worst experience ever

Missed a notice advising me my bill was going up $1.11 per month. Because my bill was $1.11 short every month for 10 months, they cut me off today for owing $113. I accrued a $10 late fee every month I was short and it added up. Then, I call customer service to make a simple inquiry and got someone who almost spoke my language but had SO MUCH background noise, we literally could not communicate without yelling. And I thought optimum was supposed to be better than who they bought. Epic failure on accomplishing improvement. But, hey, at least the shareholders got paid.

Optimum, their the worst BASTARDS, stay far away from them. They shut off my service last year because I was behind two months. I paid what I owed and told them, I don't need their rotten service anymore. I was paying $220.00 per month for basic channels. Believe or not, I hookup my own outside antenna and I get all the same channels they were charging me for. People buy your own outside antenna, and you can save yourself a lot of money, instead of giving your hard earned money to these robber bandits.

Worst cable and customer service in the world,left our family members without service for days ,stopped by ,fixed for a minute ,had to come back,never showed,nasty bad piece of garbage attitude,lot of money for an in compenant nasty ignorant people, starting to look for other cable options, they do not care for the customer who pays a lot for them to have a job that they give two shuts about

My experience with optimum customer service was a 0/10. AVA who thought she being helpful (not) was very rude and sarcastic. I'm very upset because the issue I had was not resolved . Optimum do better !

Crooks! Impossible to reach billing unless you call at exactly 8am. Promised return of over payment within 2 biz days. Never received! Why did I want my money back? Just had to cancel, over charge, can't just cancel because their personal hang up on you. Again they are crooks and everyone you speak with is totally rude. Why? It appears none of them like working there. Obviously, they are poorly treated by management, they are afraid of getting terminated. Therefore the only outlet is to treat customers the way they are treated.

The absolute WORST. CABLE. COMPANY. EVER.
If you can avoid them with Verizon, Warner, Comcast, DirectTV, Dish Network, or a coat hanger with aluminum foil bunny ears- do it!!!!

- Worst equipment hands down
- Slowest internet
- Lagging cable
- Dumbest interface
- Stupidest remote design
- Worst customer service

I'd grind my thumb down to a nub if I took the time necessary to write how bad they are. I've lived all over the country and have had every service available and nothing even came close to how bad they are.

This service provider is not worthy to purchase service from i disconnected my service a month ago via the appp and returned the device they still charged me more than regular charges that i supposed to pay:(
I called and talked to agents they they don't have a record of disconnection at their end and my service is still active they say there might be scammers inside optimum app who talked to me via live chat... that is weird they don't have control on their own app:( the agent said they don't have a prove of disconnection while I asked her to give me the email address where I can send the screenshots of the prove if disconnection she said they don't have email address for me:( i am very disappointed with the services of this company this ISP is a thief they just know ho to charge you and get money from you:( I don't recommend this ISP please stay away they are just a headache

So on Monday, February 5th I called this company and told them that I don't want to be a customer no more because they left a bad taste in my mouth.

I tried to sign up to get wifi service online. I filled out all the information and even got an email confirming the purchase. After i waited and never received the wifi router i checked my email and seen i had another email from optimum. The email stated the purchase was canceled due to an existing bill. So i contacted the online customer service chat portal and informed them that i got the email and that there was no possible way i owed a bill because i have never been a customer through them. They gave me a number and said i would have to call optimum. So thats what i did and i explained the situation and they told me i wouldn't be able to get services without paying a $200 bill that belonged to someone else and said that one of the reasons for this was i used an email that was associated with a past account. i explained to them that this was not true and they said they would have to transfer me to someone that could help. I waited on hold for a few seconds just to be hung up on. After that i called back to inform them of the email that i actually used because i have the email on my phone where they have sent me multiple emails. Once i got on the phone with an agent as i was explaining the situation they continued to hang the phone up once again!!! And i was not being rude i was not yelling or having an attitude with them. I just simply explained the situation and this is how they treat someone who took a chance on trying their company smh. 0 starts optimum ? ? ?

Absolutely horrible , We have since switched to FIOS.
I believe optimum uses a third party billing to fraudulently accept payments while not posting the payment to the account. I paid my bill
(they had my account number so I thought it was Optimum) through a service called T.V upgrade . They even had my account balance but optimum said it never posted to my account and that the company was a fraud ! So I believe the company was a fraud and that company is Optimum using a third party biller and getting away with immoral unethical billing practices. Please be careful . There is a class action lawsuit against them as well. I spoke with a representative by the name of Mohammed and he was very verbally abusive . I have never been treated so inhumanely . He said he would find out my social security number and personal information! I was shocked and scared to be honest. I hope this information helps someone .

NOT a honest reliable internet company.
They didn't want to keep their word on a yearly plan contract they made with me for $64.49. Not even after 6 months has passed and they went ahead and started charging extra money (enhancing fees...$65.99).
It's not the amount, it's the PRINCIPAL.
I've been an old faithful customer, and this is the way they pay back.
I advise you (friends and family members) to go to Verizon company instead. They have the same plan, for the same amount + same internet speed for 5 years contract (locked price).
Nowadays it's hard to support a family of 3, when every cent counts.
I'm very disappointed as a customer of Optimum, but I won't look back and go with Verizon.

My wifi service was cutting in and out called and made an appointment for 1/7 between 11am and 2pm. Waited and no one showed up, when I called to find out what's going on the first customer service rep said it was canceled because they were calling and I didn't answer,which I never received a call. She transferred me to another rep and she told me there was never an appointment made so I don't understand how 2 people working for the same company and can't get there facts correct. To me this obviously a sign that I should start looking at ur competition.

my Business email account has been out for days ... dozens of phone calls an equal amount
of assurances it would be corrected .. never fixed .. never escalated the issue as promised multiple times.. they are terrible and very unreliable.

Out of fairness and transparency, I must post a very pleasant and satisfying customer experience with Optimum Customer Service over the New Year's weekend when my internet went out. Thinking it was an area outage -it wasn't- I called in to Riverhead and spoke at length to the tech who patiently walked me through recovery steps while we waited multiple times to see what would work. He determined that the modem needed to be replaced and set up the earliest appointment available, a morning option right up to the time when I was scheduled for a Zoom conference online. The repair tech- knowledgeable and prompt arrived by 9am, finished the assessment and replaced the modem by 10am, with 1 hour to spare before the start of my meeting.

I had trouble signing in on a paid subscription channel, I did not know how to integrate Internet with that channel. I spoke with a representative.Malique. He was helpful, and very patient with my limited technical skills. He walked me through it.
Though I think Optimum Internet sucks, at least, having a knowledgeable and polite customer representative made it tolerable. Deborah B

I had need of customer service on Long Island, NY, today, 8/22/23. When I first called I spoke with "Anita"' who was impolite & rude. Answered my questions with little help of resolution. Ultimately she gave me information, which was unsatisfactory and unhelpful.
I ended that call, and called customer service again. I spoke with Jason, who was not only helpful, but polite and patient. He answered all of my and my husbands questions and was able to give us a more affordable cost with upgraded internet, and the plan he assisted us with was exactly what we needed. Jason is an asset to the Optimum company.

Service technician was here on the outside of the house to fix the problem for our cable and Internet. He was so nice very polite. Even moved my trashcan so the trash pick up could get to it and put it back after they left. Thank you whoever you were.

I called to cancel my service because my bill went up from 95.00 to 150. And I was transferred to retention leny was great and she understood my frustration and help me she upgraded my internet and gave more channels and my phone to keep it she was so professional and she lowered the service from 150 to 85 dollars for 12 months .these agents from retention really understand customers concerns I am so pleased and this company should have agents like leny she was great thank you leny

I was extremely disappointed with Optimum. I was without service or had issue with the mini boxes for 2 weeks. I call to get a credit for my bill. Well I received a credit but they downgraded my cable. I call back, highly frustrated, to complain. I was told that my cable service was downgraded after I received the credits, to add everything back that I have always had would cost an addition 50 dollars. Needless to say I was furious and told them to cancel my service because they are crazy thinking I would pay this after being with them for 9 years. After this threat, I was transferred to Jazz in another department. I was highly pleased with Jazz. He understood my frustration and got my bill reduced with all my cable channels for better rate. Jazz saved the company a customer because I was going to for sure cancel my service with Optimum. I hope that Optimum realizes that Jazz is an excellent agent and saved them from losing a 9-year customer. Thank you Jazz!!

I wanted to give one of your employees a 5 star review for her assistance in helping me with our plan.
We needed a new tv box because it was old and out dated. I asked her to help with any upgrades to our plan and internet.
Most customer service employees do the bare minimum. She took her time and gave us the best plans and upgrades she could find. She didn't have to do that but she did and I am extremely grateful. This employee is Deakeia Dw9

My experience at the Executive Blvd location in Yonkers was exemplary. Louis. Jalil and Zefa were soooo patient and helpful. We were there for over an hour and never felt rushed. They took time to answer all my questions. Excellent customer service!

I talked to a customer service person over the phone and she was very courteous and helpful. She scheduled a technician to come out to the house the next day to assess our problem. the technician whose name is Ananta was very helpful and efficient. He explained what our problem was and made recommendations on how to fix the problem.

sept 2,22 technical support was excellently provided by MUHAMMAD He spent hours finally after TWO DAYS no email he got it FIXED BRAVO to MUHAMMAD He knows the system even though we had to repeat many issues HE got my email send & receive working ! I lost 2 days of email because they did not save when system off . Today the google system looks different with unfamiliar pages set up so I shall work my way to understanding them. BRAVO ,MUHAMMAD for spending energy & expertise to fix the email . A MILLION THANKS and as we closed I said i'd mentally send box of candy to you ????so enjoy the pretend ???with xxoojean

On Saturday, July 16th, I placed a call to the retention department at Optimum. I was transfered, disconnected, received a return phone call and finally transfered to Tameka in the retention department. I cannot speak highly enough of my interaction with Tameka. She was friendly, understanding and knowledgeable. She addressed my issues quickly and easily. Her explanations were clear and thorough. I told her it was the first time in all my years with Optimum that I was smiling and even laughing when on a call to customer service. Tameka is outstanding!!!

After many phone calls and dealing with many people in the Optimum organization, I finally spoke with a young man named, Shah, in the Sales Department who was very helpful, knowledgeable, and the only representative who managed to deal with and successfully complete my problem/issue. I want to acknowledge this individual to those who evaluate his service to Optimum. He should be recognized as a superior employee and customer caring person.

after having problems with my new cable box from optimum for almost a week i had a service call bye a tech and had all my problems fixed after a second trip made later that night.the tech made a special trip back after hours to bring me a new cable box.what service,and a great piture.Rick tech#0166 should be requested when ever pos in the grand juntion co area.great service.

I have been with Optimum or Cablevision since September 2010. I have had issues with their service but nothing that rose to outrageous like the call I got last night on Thursday, 2/16 at around 9PM. The woman called and said that a previous tenant in the same building owed them monies from two or more years ago and that their were adding this to my account. Sure enough today I went online and Cablevision added $400 to my account. Unbelieveable but true.
