I am furious that your latest Java update includes the Ask shopping extension that will completely reconfigure my browser defaults. Ask is a contemptible product that is borderline malware for the devious techniques it is currently employing to install itself. The last bogus ASK update I got could not be un-installed by any normal means, and I had to get the Revo Uninstaller to get rid of it. Shame on Oracle for allying itself with this contemptible scam on all of its internet users. It is ludicrous that I cannot trust a routine Java update without reading all of the fine print. Java and Oracle have left the list of my trusted products

Technical support is poor on many aspects, I think it is the worst on the Web.

The support personal is very poor, I been discussing with them for 10 days and we are not started on the case. They don`t understand or they are stupid. Also de delay for an answer is sooo long. Honnestly we cannot support a corporation with that kind of application support. There is to much chance of fatal failure and no support.

Spent 3 days with our Hyperion Production environment not working and getting ZERO help from Oracle Support. Escalated issue when we first realized all systems were down. Got passed around to serveral reps all who asked the same routine questions without reviewing that the answers already existed in SR. Called support, and you get a customer rep who says a manager will call you back within 30-40 minutes. Waited. Nobody called. I called back - same answer - a manager will contact you in 30-40 minutes. Wasted so much time just waiting to hear back from someone. A rep through the SR suggested a fix. I immediately responded with a simple question regarding what he was suggesting and had to wait 2 hours for him to respond. Oracle support is a joke and a huge waste of money. Makes us seriously consider why we continue to use Oracle products...

My complaint is with regard to , manager Adriana.

We have been waiting for over 3 weeks now for an invoice to make payment for support services. The support services ends in December, however we had emailed Adriana Grama on the 11 November with regards to filling in the correct details and her team still got this wrong and now to change a simple line it is taking 3 weeks. WORST CLIENT SERVICE ever... they need competent staff...!!! PLEASE HELP!

I registered for OCA for java, and they were supposed to mail me regarding the payment details, they din't mail. Further, I mailed them also saying 'That I din't receive the mail', they replied once asking me which course I wanted, and then again no contact. I even tried calling them, but no one picks up in the customer care.. really annoyed

Oracle need to use over two months to handle a severity 1 case and can allow their support to leave their customer without any reply over 20 days up to now. Even the case has been reproduced easily at their side, the speed for creating the bug fix is extremely slow as well.
The service is the worst that I never seen at the other vendor.

Oracle Java has got to be the absolute worst software company I have ever had to deal with. Something as simple as downloading a patch update is extremely frustrating. Product after product after product after product advertisement is pushed into your face and if you're not paying close attention and miss just one "I Decline", you'll be cleaning adware off you system for a week. Why didn't they opt for company policies and a business model with integrity instead of being underhanded and deceitful!!

I've just spent at least 30 minutes on Oracle's web site trying to figure out where to download security updates for Solaris. You'd think this day in age there would be some automated way for the system to download and display updates, just like pretty much every other OS available. OMG I have to rely on google as Oracle's site is impossible to find the right information. I dread calling support due to previous experience dealing with those folks.

Oracle's support is worse than the cable companies. I can't believe the money they charge for their monopoly to provide substandard service. Sev 3 tickets aren't attended to, and Sev 2 tickets aren't much better....phone calls to 'upgrade' the severity are now part of the standard process to deal with less knowledgeable reps than myself.

General support line connects you to an extremely rude agent who uses dismissive tone of voice to direct you to a website that does not work and then hangs up on you. Outrageous!

Extremely slow cumbersome support system. They take FOREVER to call back and have yet to offer one credible solution to my issue. Just keep getting transfered around to another person since the current person has no knowledge of that particular product.

The system shuts down every day for 2 and a half hours. Breaks down at least twice a week. No short cut to data entries, six tabs to click and long pauses for each. Oracle has to be the most primative system out there. Too slow. IMO,time is money and if I'm losing time waiting for the next click, I'm losing money. Multiply that by 100 employees.

Now it seems Oracle has gone beyond its standard, Oracle support is getting bad to worse. If I'm approached I can provide full detail, Service opend 24 hrs are not being responded.Very bad experience now.

I have tried to download and upgrade Java several times, each time getting an unwanted toolbar and pop-ups that can only be irradicated by back-dating my system. After three tries I give up. Whenever I see anything Java, which still pop-ups everyday I reject it, but still it's always bothering me.

I am amazed that a company which creates reports on the importance of customer service can be so bad at it. As an example, I have searched their US and UK web sites and can only find email addresses linked to sales and etc - not one mention of a site for general concerns about the company and its policies.

With regard to reachability (below), we need a zero category for 'impossible'.

The words Oracle and customer service simply don't belong in the same sentence. Oracle's service in all departments is the worst I have ever experienced. The accounting deparmtent can't get invoicing correct, they prefer not to respond to email and resolving any financialissue can take YEARS (yes, years.) The incompetence and level of indifference of the accounting department is extraordinary.
As for service requests: they remain unread and/or unresponded to; they are closed out by Oracle even though the issue hasn't been resolved; when the SR is read, the support person will require additional information even though that SPECIFIC information is within the SR. It is incredibly frustrating and time wasting trying to work with Oracle.
When our contract expires, we will change to any other company and if anyone asks my opinion about Oracle, my advice is "DON'T GO THERE, YOU WILL REGRET IT."

Support -NOT!!! These people are TERRIBLE. They really don't care about customers at all once they've sold them the "bill-of-goods" products. When a ticket is opened, they ignore it; when you call; they politely brush you off and the ticket sits there; when the issue gets escalated (if you can get it escalted - grrrr), it sits there! We are new customers, but I am seriously going to suggest that we look for another vendor with software, AND SUPPORT, that fits our needs better!

The ingredients for making your life miserable as a supporter for users in your company: Oracle Support

- Sloooowwwww to come up with resolutions
- Non-responsive; even to urgent issues and after escalation
- Juggling with tickets (resetting severity, closing old tickets to open new ones for the same) to perform better in terms of SLA requirements
- Not willing to adjust anything to facilitate their customer's needs
- Lying (!) about situations to make you act according to their will

I have had it with them.

Finally I learned why people are making negative comments about this company.

The support is extremely lazy, and inefficient. You must pray hard to god that you should never have support issues with Oracle, especially, if you are in-charge of production systems in a transaction website.

They have no clue, or time-limit to resolve an issue, and also sometime, who are responsible to answer such queries. Their support website is in a mess, and it doesn't work automatically, unless somebody from support should intervene. Simply you need to wait, wait, wait, wait, wait........ and......wait. One day in the future, your problem will be solved by the support.

All the best future Oracle Customers..!!!

Oracle support services, simply have no concept of customer service.

Each time we try to place on order with them I can guarantee that we will get a response from them saying we need to change something or re-issue a PO for one reason or another.

There is no continuity. We seem to get a different but completely incompetent operative each time we communicate with them.

It is so annoying that when you're trying to spend money with them, they make you do all the work.

I believe this is purely down to their arrogant semi-monopolistic position in their market.

As you can probably tell. Oracle have made me very angry today!

Oracle customer service = abysmal. Definately the worst company I have ever dealt with, in my 22 year buying career.

I have been trying to purchase a simple Oracle product for 1 month, and I can't even get the sales department to return my calls. I don't understand how this company makes money if they make it so difficult to buy their products. I guess I am not large enough of a customer to warrant their time.

We had to buy Primavera P6 as a requirement for a Federal project we are working on. A first, the reseller (Catalyst) made conflicting recommendations on which version to purchase.

We were offered a free and immediate download link so that we could evaluate and start working with the recommended product. This did not work and then we found out that Oracle refuses to provide ANY support in this scenario. I would think this scenario would be the one that you would have your best people on, showing the potential clients how great your company and support is. NOT TRUE - Oracle will not suport you until you buy.

Then the reseller recommended a different version and stated that we would have to buy the software for $3,600 if we wanted any support. These are hostage tactics - "buy it or else!" Again, this is for a government project and a requirement of our contract, so we completed all paperwork necessary. It has been more than a week since credit card has been charged and we are still waiting for customer service identification numbers so that we can get support for the installation of the software.

This has been a ridiculous process. Neither the reseller nor Oracle can confirm where we are in the process.

We never thought the purchase and installation of the software would be a critical line item within our schedule. Hands down, this has been the worst experience we have ever had with a software company. We recommend you exercise ANY other option you can before dealing with Oracle.

Maybe Larry Ellison should moor his sailboat somewhere for the winter and return to focus on where his company is slipping.

Oracle's applications are seriously not well tested before they market. Just because these guys own a major chunk of the market with their database crap, they want to bring every kind of application that would use their database.

You search anything on the support portal, all other results totally irrelevant appear except for the actual one you are looking for.

No other company can beat oracle in software bugs and poor documentation. After buying such an expensive software we are gifted with the bugs which actually help oracle. They think that the customers are the tester's for their products.
