Turbo Tax really sucks. My wife and I attempted to use it. When we had our return don and tried to submit it an error warning popped up it said our names didn't match.WTF!!! We ended up using H&R Block online and had success with it.

When I had a difficult question the rep said he needed to put me on hold... and he hung up on me... ok mistakes happen but the exact same thing happened last year... I feel the customer service reps just don't want to deal with difficult questions so they just accidental ha g up on you, knowing you will have to call back and speak with someone else! Not going to use them ever again...

I have got connected to customer care rep today after waiting 10 minutes. After that he said one moment please and never turned back even after waiting for more than 52 minutes. It is waste of time and mobile minutes.

Tried several times to complete the 2021 1040SR form. Information given on tax issues was too confusing and did not pertain to my situation. However, the questions kept coming up. Also logging in, a code would be sent to my phone but when I tried to enter it on signing in would state expired.

last year turbo tax made a 2000 dollar mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by WestSideKen

Free? NOT! I finished my entire taxes and somewhere along the way, I got $39 tacked on to file. It's impossible to determine why, and the only way to check is to completely start over.

I've encountered three customer service agents attempting to resolve an issue with duplicate accounts. In each case, the agent has poor diction and unprofessional presentation, as well as poor connection and lots of background noise--all that makes communication very frustrating.

I discontinue the use of TurboTax when I got married in 2012. Seven years later, I noticed a debit to my bank account. I went back through the years and to my surprise found that I was being charged $70 per year even though I was not registering or using the software. I was out $470. I don't know how long it took, but I did get ahold of someone and asked them to cancel my subscription and refund the money for services I didn't use. They said they could only refund up to 3 years, so I'm out $280.

I was expecting the account to be closed and the subscription cancelled having talked and requested it. That didn't happen. I found another $70 debited from my account. This time I considered it a fraudulent charge. In fact, there were 5 new charges to the account since I discontinued it the second time and only three were refunded. Another $210 for a total loss of $490 TurboTax took from my account.

Ok people make mistakes in accounting. It happens ... twice without fully correcting the issue. Now my issue is that Intuit is extremely hard to get ahold of to correct the mistakes. It's also really hard to log into and recover your account so that you can shut down your account. GO FIGURE! The problem isn't taken care of, and instead, I will need to shut down my bank account.

I have been waiting I hour and 49 minutes Making two calls and speaking to three people in order to have them process a $25 state filing fee. They did not know how to help and it was extremely frustrating. Staff is not well trained and there did

It is very disconcerting how I trusted Intuit's TurboTax to do taxes for my family and Turbotax resulted in allocation of much more wages than my wife and I had at the NJ state level when she was working in New York while residing in NJ. The allocation of wages had to be done manually for each state and could easily be overlooked and incorrect. We were surprised TurboTax never fixed this bug. It even has been written about extensively online. When I contacted executive leadership, they had me speak with what they called a TurboTax expert at Intuit who didn't deny what I encountered. These errors were costly to my family and Intuit has made it crystal clear it is my problem and not theirs, their final position is they will do nothing regarding all the money they caused me to lose because of their buggy software.

I spent an hour trying unsuccessfully to find the screen on which one can enter the license code, using TurboTax help and Google. Returned the disk to the store; not going to use TurboTax again.

I purchased online tax prep products from TurboTax, and after downloading the first product it automatically restarted my computer. The second product completely disappeared before I could open the download. Even though I was charged for both products, my TurboTax account has no history. The automated online help referred me to a customer service number for a live person, but the auto answering service keeps telling me that I have to pay $35 to talk to a live person. Bar none, one of the crappiest customer service experiences and the online website design isn't very intuitive at all. So I'm out $159.98 and can't get someone to give me access to my product - one of which by the way didn't even include a access key. Will not be recommending Turbo Tax to anyone. Should have stuck HR Block.

I'm a long time TurboTax customer. In recent years, I have used TurboTax products via the T. Rowe Price Personal Services discount. This year, the product I used required a $10.00 extra charge for TRP investors. The sales tax charged was 9.5% or $0.95. My address is Issaquah, WA which does indeed have a 9.5% sales tax, but I live outside the city limits in unincorporated King County which has a sales tax of 8.6%. This situation is not unusual for a state that combines the flat state sales tax rate with varying local sales tax rates. Calculating sales tax based on address city alone will always create errors for such a state. To be accurate, the STREET and city must be used. The 9 cent overcharge is not of concern to me, but it is concerning that a company in the tax return business does not know this or simply doesn't care. Will be passing this info along the T. Rowe Price also.

I have been a customer for many years. this year out of a small rebate of $306.00 you took out $180.86 of fees the dollar and cents were not disclosed till after purchase you set up scam company used as third party to charge fees, over charged me more for your service then first told to me on site then said in a document after printing returns that $34.99 scam bank fee, over charged turbo tax fee $99.98 for 140ez, add products service i never added 44.99,with no way to contact you leaving a $184.04 return and only receiving 180.68 you are thieves lost a good customer will tell friends and family to calling bbb to report to.

TurboTax made an error by putting my tuition amounts into incorrect boxes! I've checked it mane times and have screenshots to prove it. I've only noticed it after filing the return and saving a pdf for my records. I called the customer service but was told "I understand how you feel but unfortunately we can't do anything"!!! I wanted to make a complaint but it's impossible to find a way of emailing them. I WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN!!!

Called three times never returned calls. Then got to end not free charged me $24.99 & $34.99 for both efiles I think at the end they now you want to opt out of that that's why they don't return calls Told my family not to bother with this. False advertising not free

I was charged $72 using the free and state forms. It made me complete everything and at the end it switched over to the deluxe package. Very deceptive and will NEVER use turbotax again. I'm going with Taxact.

I have been filing with Turbotax for years. This year was the first year I had to call customer service to resolve the issue. For starters, the representative sounded drunk or high - at one point, I literally heard him stretching and yawning, slurring his words and mumbling to himself. Secondly, the people who answer the phone know nothing about taxes or Turbotax - they type your question into their computer and request help from people who actually know. The person I talked to just literally read the answers back to me... with no understanding. Lastly, our conversation concluded with him making "guesses" about that the answers from the person meant and what I could expect when my filing was accepted!!! Are you kidding me? And, of course, there is not way to email a rating or feedback of any kind. The software is definitely passable - but the customer service is deplorable. So if you need help, don't use Turbotax.
