My $150.00 check to Citi Cards was posted om my bank account as $1,500.00. Beginning June 6th I had several conversations with agents that told me: under investigation, I would receive a $1,3500.00credit directly to my bank accounrt, investigation in process, I would receive a check by mail, put on hold indefinetely.
I have not received a credit, nor a check. All Citi does is lie and waist people's time.

I have been banking with Citibank in the late sixties plus I was an employee for almost 20 years, in New York and the Doral. I have to say I am very disappointed with the service that is extended to customers at your Branch at 120th Street and 137th Avenue. In the past I have been there and for some reason they do not recognize my checking account number. I also went there to cash some EE bonds had no idea what they were so the manager had to show how it was done.
I was there on 6/9/23 to renew one of my CD's and waited over an hour. When I asked for the manager, I was told he was out. There was one female who had a female customer and they were having a good time. In fact the customer took off her shoes and had her feet in the chair. What I should have done is take a picture. Finally when she left and I was next, when I got in her office, I sat on the other chair.
The only person who represented Citibank in a professional manner was Brady Morejon who was monitoring the customers sign in sheet as he tried to help.
Thank God I have online banking and I went paperless. Years ago that brach was a Citibank where you get good customer service but now it's like a circus.

I have been a Citi customer for a very long time. I will likely cancel my account after this experience so this doesn't occur again unless Citi makes me whole. Also, I don't want another Citi customer to have this horrific experience.

I applied for a card and got an email saying if I hadn't received my card by a certain date to call a customer service number. 5 days after that date I had no card so I called and was connected to an automated computer system that absolutely WOULD NOT let me talk to an actual representative, no matter how many times I said "operator" or pressed 0. As a result the card I had supposedly been mailed was cancelled and a request for a new card generated. At the end there was an option for help with anything else which got me connected to an actual person. Turned out the card wasn't mailed when the email came and it was actually mailed the day before I called, and now had been cancelled before I even got it due to a request for a new one. If the damn system had just let me talk to somebody that could have been avoided. Clearly they are not interested in giving customer service. I absolutely REFUSE to talk to computers. That is a horrible business practice by Citi. Had I known I would have had such a hard time contacting an actual person when I needed to call them for something, I never would have applied for a card in the first place.

I never received my credit card, nor bill, from Citi Bank... so I was only able to use it once. That purchase was an online Home Depot transaction. (It was a promotional offer. $25 off initial purchase if you applied/got approved for the the card. So I applied for the card, got approved, and made that one-time online purchase.) The only thing I ever received from them was an overdue bill notice via email. The email gave a phone number to call for questions regarding the notice. But when I REPEATEDLY called, the automated prompt asked for either a credit card number or last 4 digits of your social security number to continue. I punched in my social security number, but got a response stating my account had been cancelled... and was promptly disconnected.

I got a card Diamond preferred so I can do some quick balance transfers ! I have credit score of 830 and business cards from BOA , Amex and Wells Fargo . I wanted to get something fast as one of the 0% rates was about to expire on my existing BOA card!
Never again will I get citi card - their customer service are absolute trash on steroids!
I had to wait for a card for 21 days - before I could make balance transfers (because apparently citi card is so special I needed a physical card for BT ) - after getting the card I proceeded to login and verified my card in the app! Then nightmare began - I couldn't transfer as they have some password which I didn't even know about ! Yet I logged in without any password just fine on the iPhone app!
So I had to call several of the looney representatives with zero English speaking skills give me a run around for 7 hours straight! Apologizing while repeating the same nonsense over and over and over
You see, citi card is sooooo special and "secure" they will not verify your identity . Apparently social security , adress, phone number, date of birth isn't good enough for them ! They wouldn't verify me by text to my cell phone because according to the lunatics my phone number wasn't valid for some reason they wouldn't explain - the same phone number I use for work - my cell , is not good enough for citi card "representatives" yet was good enough to log into the app to activate the card ! And was good enough for all other credit cards I applied for and used for 30 years until citi fiasco
After literally hours of them not being able to verify me they said they will send a letter -(seriously a Letter by snail mail) to verify me! After I waited 21 days for their speedy delivery credit card to arrive! )


After I told them to go and fish as I never in my life had to deal with such insanity with any card I ever applied for, they told me : I can't cancel this card without getting verified !

I wonder if the "representatives" running the lunatic asylum aka citi have ever read catch 22

I will make sure other users know about this fiasco and stay away from these frozen vegetables in the customer service citi department

I shredded the new citi card I waited 21 days for with pleasure and got a discover card seconds later!

I have just had the worst experiences with a Citibank representative. Rude, lacking knowledge and did nothing to resolve a problem. I am so done with Cotibank and the lack of service.

Who has a land line these days? I am a single person living on my own with only one cell phone. Apparently, Citi bank cannot verify me with my card info, checking account number, security word, address, or even my ss#. I need to have a second phone number where they can verify me. This is the first month I started the account with them. And I already been through this twice. First time, an Agent verified me by calling to the number that's on my file ( my cellphone) from different number. This time, they said they cannot do that. I have to wait for the mail to arrive to do anything with my card. SERIOUSLY!!! ???

Equifax is reporting on my name a Citi account of which I'm supposably an authorized user, I tried to resolve with Citi, each representative transfers me to a different departmen, I have to start over the whole story and then being told that I'm being transferred.... Very frustrating!

I opened a citi business account and after 5 months they send me a letter stating my account was reviewed and being closed due to fraud activity. That was in October. I have made a total of 27 phone calls, been to two different branches 16 times, trying to get an answer why the account was closed only to find that one of my clients had added my business address in one of the check and it did not match my profile, it was my P.O. Box number.I was told multiple times thst the remaining funds in my account is at the branch only to be told that the remaining funds are not available to me because the check was fraud. 7 months later the "back office" finally determined that it was an error. Was told that the funds will be sent by check in the mail. I have heard every excuse about the return of my funds which is several hundred dollars. Three weeks have since passed, and imagine the excuse, the "back office" is really backed up. And still waiting for an apology from them regarding closing the account. The phone customer service is really bad, cannot understand them, and they keep repeating the same thing like it's written in front of them. And if they get upset with you asking questions they just hang up, had 6 of those happen.

Biggest scam bank in the United States. Over charge fees, locks accounts with no notice of anything for issues, zero customer service skills, absolutely no knowledge of their systems or how to do their jobs.

I had a small $4.95 fraudulent charge on my Sears Citibank Mastercard which I reported immediately. They failed to act on it for about a week and when I called the Sears Citibank again at phone at 1-800-669-8488 I could not believe how pathetic the service (or lack thereof) was. The first woman I spoke with was rude, barely spoke English, and told me I need to be patient. After a few more days ... no action and after waiting on hold for what seemed like forever, an arrogant gentleman answered and spoke down to me and essentially chewed me out for not undersanding how they work. After reading all the horrible reviews, I decided it wasn't worth it so I paid the bill and cancelled the card.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I kept being transferred without any warning and then finally hung up on. I just want to pay my bill... so now I'll accrue late fees based on their poor service.

citibank customer service is HORRIBLE! you cannot get through to a live body at all. period. you'll just cycle over and over until the digital voice dismisses you. good luck if you have an emergency. we're dumping them after 20+ years.

Bad , service , balance transfer info not valid ..they say 1 to 3 bus days its a week or more..

Called citibank because I am having issues. i lost my pt job and almost $500 per month. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I had to go on a dmp. The dmp organized a lower monthly payment and negotiated a lower interest rate. Citi agreed to it. The payment was made ONE day after the agreement and citi tacked on a 45 dollar late fee. I called them and the representative, M.A._____ was not helpful, would not remove the late fee, said "it was not their issue", and to "take it up with your company". Every time I tried to explain, I was cut off. I hate this company!

I carried their cards for 19 years. Just recently their customer service was repeatedly beyond terrible and I closed my account.

I have been a card member since 1992. I missed one payment due to hospitalization. I called and asked for my late few to be waived which they did, however they neglected to tell me my account was locked. Had I been stranded on the road and needed to use my card I would have been in dire straits. I would NOT recommend this credit card company to anyone. I am closing my account after being a loyal customer since 1992. I would discourage anyone from getting a Citibank credit card or any Citibank account!

Rotten, dishonest corporate practices and culture. Beware, they have no ethics and will do everything they can to scam you out of your money. Chat bot, customer rep, call center, all a terrible joke. After 30 years I will never use them ever again. They default your payments towards your 0% apr so they can maximize interest charging on your new purchases. So you think you're paying your new purchases in full and they are dishonestly putting that payment towards your promotional balance leaving maximum balance to incur interest. They also have non-existent telephone support. Chat rep (after you fight with the bot for over 10 minutes) is rude and don't care. Probably very badly paid. Seems the whole company is morally corrupt.

I just spent 45 minutes trying to speak to fraud cases. Moved to three different people who were impossible to understand. As unhelpful as can be. Then the last woman I spoke to hung up on me. I have an account since 1991.
I'm terribly disappointed!!

Just to feedback my BAD Experience with Citibank credit card application.
I was referred to apply for this card which the referral sent me the referral number for the promo of $150. Hence I went thru the application which I thought there will be an input for the referral number where there isn't , Have made many calls to Citi but many excuses that the promo wasn't valid cos the reraral didn't sent the link to me. Ive cancel the card and when I ask whether am I able re apply for the card for the promo the agent said yes. Amazing how these people work. The best part the banks website has no portal for customer feedback only enquiry.

This bank is an awful choice. I applied for a Citibank credit card and without any valid explanation was declined. When I called them to find out why I found their customer service to br very poor. For starters you'll get some outsourced call centre not on Australia, so get ready to have trouble with understanding the accents. Unfortunately, it will get worse from there as they will not attempt to help you with your inquiry unless the required responses fit within the approved company spiels. You may as well talk to a computer. Behind the platitudes like,"I completely understand sir...", and "Of course as a customer you have your rights to disclosure..." none of it is genuine and based on their responses, the care factor is zero. In my case, all information regarding why my application has been rejected, is deemed as confidential. So I was left scratching my head wondering why? I attempted to push my inquiry further, and I was met with a barrage of defensive and arrogant responses from the supervisor.
