Disconnected our service due to continued raising rates. Was told I had to pay the full amount of my bill when I disconnected 4 days into their cycle. Paid the bill and now I get a letter informing me I have a credit balance of $9.14. Contacted them today to find out how they reimburse credit balances... Spent 50 minutes on hold only to have unfriendly sounding representatives.
50 minutes on hold is not acceptable TDS.... have some "secret shopper" call your service line and listen to your representatives tone of voice. I imagine if I was looking to connect service I would have not been on hold that long.
No wonder people are opting out of your company.

I disconnected my service after over 40yrs and they would not prorate my bill. Bad customer service in my opinion.

Have had tds internet for 2 months now and have had the worst internet service. I woukd be ashamed to sell a service that a company clearly cannot provide without major problem. Today is 4/16/2023 and I have had to restart my modem ar least 25 times today and for the last 3 hours no internet no TV no laptop. Please don't be someone's misery by taking on new customers until you get your huge internet problem solved.

Would not recommend TDS was on the phone three time and got cut off three times with no call back so had to explain myself over and over again. Issue wasn't resolved. Every year my amount I pay goes up. The amount I pay is more than my power bill.

TDS sucks more than the average business.. They could care less about the customer. Ask them to cancel service and the don't. Then they want u to pay for that crappy service u haven't used in months. I hope they go bankrupt.

I rate TDS a zero! My TV and Wi-Fi bill was almost twice the amount as quoted! I canceled TV and tried to keep my Wi-Fi! That bill was also more than what I was quoted! Never again will I go with TDS!

TDS has horrible customer service-I was on the phone for 1.5 hrs during which I was transferred twice-the first person I spoke with transfered me to repair, they transfered me to sales, asked for a mailbox with recorded message-I have no idea what the mailbox is. The installer was pleasant but trying to get anything accomplished with a call to customer service is impossible. I was told I could keep same service as I had previously with Bend Broadband before TDS took over. I was told by the first person I spoke to that I could not go back to that service. This is extremely frustrating to waste almost 2 hours on hold most of the time when musac played and get nowhere when I was able to talk with someone. I will get out from under TDS as soon as possible!!!

TDS service is unreliable, and coupled with slow field repair service. The company customer service shows no empathy for customers are run their business out of their home0 and rely on the nternet. What is worse is their fiber is like old dial-up

On the 6th of February my service was disrupted I had a bill of 295.00 I paid the bill through my bank account which cleared the bank the next day, I can show where it posted to my account. After speaking with several supervisors my service will be off for ten days until they are sure my payment won't be returned which it can't be after posting to my account. But I can go in and pay the same bill with my debit card and my service will be restored the same day. The bill has been paid they absolutely refuse to restore service.after speaking with another supervisor this morning 2/10/23 I ask was there someone higher up I could speak with now. She said she would pass it along and it could be 24 to 48 hours before they would respond. Another supervisor I spoke with Tuesday the 7th said the earliest my service could be restored would be the 10th . According to the supervisor I spoke with this morning that was a lie she had been the 15 years and he needed better training.my problem is my bill is paid can show proof where it posted on my account and they still refuse service, but I can pay the same bill again with a debit card and service will be restored today. My next bill is due the 14th I do not have any outstanding bill period

Only need i ternet service. Td by customer service that the price would not change. Internet suddenly very slow and they refuse to troubleshoot would onlyoffer to ship new modem in 3 to 5 days. Not worth the price I pay and always not helpful. Just angry now. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

Very disappointed in my experience with TDS. Definitely not the same company we signed up with years ago.

We need to drop other products from our bundle as we now only need internet. They quoted us virtually the same price. They want $126 plus fees and taxes for 1 GB service. Both AT&T and Xfinity are around $75 - $80 for same. Not to mention TDS keeps sending me mailers advertising $70-$89 for same service. I've called 3 times and they refuse to budge on price and say good prices are for new customers only. So basically they'd rather lose existing customers and focus on new ones. How stupid is that?

I would not recommend TDS to anyone. Service is ok, but customer service is horrible.

TDS is horribly expensive for what you receive,spotty service that will go out regularly and even though there are tons of complaints every time, they have "no reported outages" and thier "systems are normal". What a joke. I seriously can't wait for another company to enter my area so I can switch. Google fiber is coming, and they offer twice the speed for a few dollars less than what tds charges. I've never been so excited to ditch an internet provider. TDS SUCKS!

Ever since my internet company got switched from Bend Broadband to TDS Telecom I have had the worst experience the customer service is terrible half of the employees don't even sound like they know how to do their job it takes them several hours to get the internet up and running whereas Bend Broadband only took 10 minutes and they overcharge it for everything including pointless stupid things just so that they can get money then that Broadband it didn't overcharge it for the things that they do

TDS is a horrible company. I had been paying my bill faithfully every month for the original amount asked. I ran into a debilitating painful condition and for a few months I was only able to keep up with the bare minimum of survival tasks. I could not scrutinize every routine piece of mail I received. I assumed everything was fine, but discovered that they had raised my rate about 60%. Not only was the new price now unaffordable to me, and disproportionate to inflation, but they had added late fees. I called to cancel and explained that I could not afford the price increase and the extra charges. I had already paid for the entire month at the time of cancellation and I offered that they could keep my payment and cancel immediately, but they were completely unaccommodating and rigid, demanding that I pay the disproportionate price increase and the late fees as well. My compromise was more than reasonable, but even when I moved up the chain in my communication, they insisted on their unreasonable terms. One manager offered to take off the late fees, but not the price increases. This was not acceptable or possible for me. The next bill had $150 added on for "Unreturn Tel Equip." I returned the modem in person, and spoke to an employee, who doubled down on the company's rigidity. The employee showed no regret or empathy and was quite cold. She seemed quite accustomed to dealing with dissatisfied customers, and I assume that she behaved as she was trained to act. TDS is a company that works on the principle of greed, and not customer care. I DO NOT recommend them. Find another provider if at all possible.

SO, if your internet or tv is messed up, they make u wait all day for them to show, but if your phone is, THEY "FIX" IT W. OUT U BEING THERE, OR EVEN VERIFYING U LIVE THERE!!! my sis txtd me, wondering what the message " this phone number is not vacant" means, and I got " can't be completed... check #...". called tds, the service agent looked and looked and said she couldn't see anything on her end (!) and if I could call back from his house. we cld try some troubleshooting then, which was fine, I was free, and working close by (I'm not always!). I stopped by, and apparently he had a work tag on his doorknob Friday (its Monday) that "his lines have been fixed and his new # is... WELL ITS NOT THE # ITS BEEN FOR THE LAST 45 YEARS!?!" he's been working on this since Friday!!! the FIRST guy told him he COULD GO DOWN TO THE LOCAL OFFICE TO TALK TO SOMEONE!! THEY CLOSED ALL THE OFFICES LIKE 15 OR SO YEARS AGO!! THEY TOLD ME THE SAME THING WHEN I GOT A NEW APARTMENT WAY BACK THEN AND I NEEDED A PHONE BOOK! BC PEOPLE. DONT LEAVE THOSE FOR THE NEXT TENANTS!! I GOT AN EXTRA OLD ONE FROM THE NICE GUY AT THE LOCAL POST OFFICE!!! they have ALWAYS been SO BAD at knowing what is going on or what to do, I feel like the only reason they r still around is bc they have somewhat of a monopoly, and no one has bought them out (& god-willing fixed it?!)
sorry for the long rant, but they do really, REALLY SUCK!!!
one last thing, when my dad was trying to talk to just about anyone there, he said. that the calls kept getting dropped!!!
I actually reverse white paged the new # and it was on my way home, so I stopped. the people who live there now said the man w that name lived there a bunch of yrs ago, and has since passed (and I know the house and that guy had lived there a long long time, and these guys are the 2nd or 3rd owners later. figured couldn't hurt trying a new angle considering I thought I had a pretty good chance of solving the puzzle before they did. that's not really saying much...

Horrible customer service. Disconnected my service 7/22/2022. Was told my refund of 100.50 would be issued 10/22. Called today 10/28 and was told it would be mid November before I could expect my refund. Don't do business with these idiots unless you love headaches!!

Don't sign up for TDS! Internet service was abysmal, prices sky high compared to better Spectrum service, and customer service awful. TDS was good in the past but in the dumpster now. I had TDS internet and TV services for years. They bumped up my charges so I tried to negotiate a lower rate closer to Spectrum rates, but TDS wouldn't budge much. So I cancelled and got cheaper and better Spectrum services. It took me hours to cancel TDS services. TDS refused to prorate the charges and required me to pay $21 to ship their equipment to another state. The customer service was terrible, prices abysmal, internet slow.

My tv is out. Apparently it is my internet. I will say the tech support I spoke with was very nice.
I do not understand why I pay $200 a month for my service and no one can come out and check it until Monday (And this is Saturday). I will not have internet, tv and my alarm system will not be working!
This is very frustrating!!!

Called TDS to cancel a 2nd line that was not needed, made sure to let the agent know that the home phone number was vital to the health and well being of an elderly parent and that line could not be touched. They cancelled the wrong line keep you on hold and don't answer but sure do disconnect. This is so TDS and so unacceptable, time for an attorney

TDS terrible all around. It took 2 months for them to fully install our internet. After missing 4 days of work to be there for them to install. 3 different times they came out while I had to take work off to meet them and when they got there, they said it was just to see what they had to do to install. 3 times!! Finally on their 4th visit it was installed. Well after 7 months we had to move out. I called to cancel services and was told that we would have to pay an 1800.00 early termination fee. I asked if there was anything they could do with that fee and was told absolutely not, I signed a contract and it's my fault for signing it. They told me that the contract price was heavily discounted. So, I asked if there was an option for a non-contract monthly price. I was told yes, I then asked why I was not offered the non-contract price and forced to sign onto the contract, and they said we don't tell the customer and I should have asked them about a non-contract price. So basically, please do not sign a contract with them! They will extort your hard-earned money. I spoke to the highest up person, and she was no help either. I was told she knows its sucks and it's not right but too bad you signed the contract. If there were transparent on the fees and would offer the non-contract price it would have made things a lot easier instead, they do not care about the customer, and you will have to pay for services that you don't even have. Absolutely disgusted

Possibly the worst company I've ever had to deal with. Be prepared to spend hours on hold as you spend days to try to get problems (ones caused by TDS itself!) resolved. A typical call is to first wade thru a silly automated system, listen to long, useless messages, then wait 15 minutes for some actual person to answer. Said person can then not solve anything and will pass you up a level. Expect another 30 minute hold. After explaining the problem again, wait 30 minutes more as the person 'checks the issue' Then get told it has to go up another level. Wait 45 minutes this time, repeat the problem all over again, then wait 30 minutes for 'research', then get told, "oh, yes, our problem, sorry, just ignore that bill". Really? This is typical of every single dealing I've had with TDS, be it billing, technical, whatever.
