I am a very frequent shopper of Homegoods and have held a TJ Max/ Homegoods credit card for probably over 15 years now. I often bring my client here to shop, when they give me a budget and i staged their homes for sale with many pieces from your store. They often spend anywhere from $1000-$1500 shopping with me multiple times to find decorative items to help their houses sell faster. I am a local real estate Broker / Owner in Vernon CT right down the street from your store. Personally we own homes in Vernon, CT, Cape Cod, MA and now in Naples FL. I purchased a few large decorator items at Your Hyannis, MA store last week and was planning on taking them to FL next week. Today I happened to pop in the same store in Hyannis again and found 2 large white ginger jars that were not there last week that would look perfect next to the other pieces I found and wanted to bring them down to our new Florida house. I put them in my cart but when I got to the front I realized I didn't have my TJ/ Homegoods card and asked a sales associate it shed hold them for me and asked what time you closed tonight. That was around 2:30 this afternoon. She put my cart with the 2 ginger jars up front to the side of the registers ( where you always put held items) and she put a sticky with my name Kim on it. I thanked her and told her I'd be back before the store closed and asked her what time that was. She said 9:30. So at 7:00 tonight in the rain I had a driver drive me back into Hyannis to pick them up, since I don't drive in the dark anymore. I got to your store (while the driver waited in the car) and ran in quickly to pay and pick them up. Upon turning the corner at the front, there was no cart with my name or jars in it. I asked the cashier where my cart was and she had no idea. She said maybe someone put them back out on the shelves. I said but I asked for them to be held and said I'd be back in tonight to pick them up. By now I was frustrated and upset. The cashier tried ti help me find them on the shelves ( but I knew they would be gone since as a decorator and real estate broker I'm well aware of how quickly things get scooped up there. Now I asked for the manager, who wasn't there, but instead a lady named Katy said they could be any where but I knew they were gone since we searched the decorative shelves - which is where u found them earlier. I said why did this happen? She said well she couldn't help it and she was in another shift and if she's not told, then things sometimes go back. I told her I had them in hold with my name up front and was coming back in with my credit card before closing. She seemed to say that it wasn't her fault and I waa furious at this point. No one seemed to want to take responsibility and I now was with a driver waiting out front in the rain and leaving without the 2 ginger jars that were suppose to be held for me.
When I got home I went online, trying to find them in hopes I could and perhaps pay for them to be sent to our FL house. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything that was even close to these 2 jars. I'd still like to purchase them if someone would be kind enough to find them for me in another store.
Unfortunately what happened tonight was unacceptable and as a business owner I was very upset at what happened- Horrible customer service!!' Please feel free to contact me at 860-836-3003.
I spoke with Kathy ( a coordinator) at your Homegoods store #172
I will also be doing a survey from another receipt that I see on the bottom of one of my receipts too ( regarding a drawing I believe) which I've never entered. I really would like those ginger jars and feel that someone in your company should be able to find them for me.
Please reach out to me... if you really even care about my feedback or customer service - which is what my business is built in for 36 years.

A man driving a Home Goods van tailgated me and then pulled up beside me and started yelling at me for not going fast enough. It was heavy traffic and he seemed upset I was obeying the laws.

I guess one more negative rating compared to the very few positive rating will not mean anything the corporate your size. Just remember it takes little peons like myself to pay your electric bills or employees salaries. The policy you've always presented to me was if something came from one of your sister stores and you carried the same item you would issue store credit and mark it for your store. Not at Carbondale Illinois. They weren't aware and i felt like I'd commuted a sin when asking. They took back one item that came from there store and issued a $16.99 store credit. The item was $16.99. So I asked what about the tax. She said she couldn't give it back. So this store may be paying their electric bill out of the sales taxes not returned to customers. I was one of your largest fans and used you merchandise in most of the vintage campers we remodel. Not anymore. Ross will now be getting all my business.

Hi ,

I went to Home Goods, Westford, Cornerstone Piazza, MA. I had misallocated receipt and wanted to return $21 worth of purchase . Store assistant and manager will only want to return by scanning my driver license, which I was not comfortable(privacy theft) . Asked them to search the purchase with the credit card . They refused saying system won't allow it . Assistant manager they said we can't do anything . I told him I purchase $1000 per month and you want store my id for $30. I told him, this is not great customer experience . He said I don't. care I don't own the store . I'm surprise that you run customer facing store but you treat your regular customer so terribly.

I came back with my $21 goods , which I will throw away as your manager and asst manager said they don't care .

Quite disappointed . This incidence happened at 8:15 pm on Aug 27th 8:15 pm. You have rude staff , who don't care about customers and policies doesn't favor return . Giants like Macys and Costco can find your purchase through credit card . This folks, didn't even wanted to try .

My complaint is with the manager Carol at the Marshall's/HomeGoods combo in Vero Beach,Fl. What I witnessed was a very disgusting and shocking behavior from Carol. She belittle, bullied, very rude and this sets an unhealthy environment to her employees and to others like me a customer. She micromanage and doesn't support her team which is so sad because the employees are helpful and extremely stressed out that you can see it in their faces. What I saw she came out of her closed office and goes outside to smoke then come in and yells at her employees like they are some kind of trash. I guessed she has done it too many years that she forgot to be compassionate, caring, a team leader that sets an example to others and being supportive by bring around. Anyone can be a manager in a closed door but it takes a real manager that becomes part of a team! And one that cares too because it motivates your employees & it becomes a healthy environment for them to show up to work!

Went shopping in Manalapan New Jersey to the HomeGoods only good thing about the store was the presentation and the staff that I had encountered. I was having a great experience until I heard the store manager talk to his staff! He was very disrespectful, scarcastic and very demeaning to them. I would never shop in that store as long as he is the manager there. The staff was courteous, kind and very attentive to all of the customers needs but I was taken aback by the store managers attitude toward his staff

Yesterday I went shopping with my 16 year old son and 21 year old daughter. I was browsing in furniture while my children walked around smelling candles and looking at household goods while they waited on me. One of your employees an older Hispanic woman in all black followed them around the entire visit. Not once did she engage with them or ask if they needed anything just followed them very obviously the entire trip as if they were going to steal cheap candles. My children were racially profiled by your staff for no reason. They weren't wearing baggy clothes or carrying any bags. So very obviously not going to steal. I am the GM of a business in that plaza and will be sharing my experience with my staff and the staff in the surrounding stores as well as the customers. I will no longer be shopping in your store but that woman needs to be addressed.

Home goods in Bromall PA is a total joke! They would not return my item with a receipt since it was over 30 days. Would not even give a store credit. I'm been shopping at HG for years and always returned with no issue after the 30 days. Even without a receipt at times. So.......Glen Mills HG had np returning my $29 item and issuing a credit. Makes no sense! All the stores should be excepting returns the same way. Manager is a joke

I have a horrible experience at the woodlands store. I found a floral arrangement marked in 29.99. when I get to the front the Laura the cashier decided it wasn't the price. And she and Mariam decided the price was 250. By her decision. And they didn't sell it. I reported to the main office and they decided no to answer. IT HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER

I recently shopped at Homegoods located at pelham manor. I personally have never experienced such racial profiling. A cashier by the name of Marie was questioning me on the contents of my shopping cart. I felt offended and judged. She make me ne feel very uncomfortable. I will not be returning to this location due to how I was treated and disrespected.

I called the Home Goods Pearland Tx store and the associate hung up on me while I was talking. I just had a simple follow up question and that was unnecessarily disrespectful and unprofessional. She is not great with customer service.

Watched a store manger in Camarillo ignore a customer after something broke. Yvetta I believe was her name as another employee asked if she need assistance. She yelled at her to get a broom as she keep walking. Customer service was not the store policy if the mangers are ignoring you. Very unprofessional

A friend and I were shopping at the homegoods in Rehoboth de on April 5 and we were very unhappy with how the store looked. It was disgusting. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept in forever. The bathrooms were so disgusting we had to walk out. There was poop all over the toilet and I mean ALL over it, there was poop on the floor, the sinks looked like they hadn't been cleaned ever. The floors had so much toilet paper, paper towels and dirt and sand on it. There was no soap or paper towels. Sad thing is we were there last year and the lady who was doing it did it so well and was very pleasant. That store needs help or needs her back either way something has to be done.

Came to look for a gift and stumbled upon a nice candle set. I asked the first Lady if it had a sale because it was Valentine's Day themed which was last month and on the clearance shelf. The lady said she didn't have a scanner and said there's no sale without even attempting to check. So I went to the register to ask and if she can check the price. The girl wearing a green shirt that said "empathy" (the irony) with short straight shoulder length brown hair maybe 27+ said she can't check the price. Like how can you not check the price? You're at the register and I'm sure if anything you could void it after checking the price. Just pure laziness. If you can't do a simple scan then retail isn't for you. Potential sale lost. Loved this store and shop here every other weekend because I'm an interior designer. This was at 17822 La Cantera parkway

Good evening,

I am a long time customer of Homegoods , TJ MAXX and Marshalls as well as a cardholder. To make this as brief as possible I as well as several customers that I have seen hands on have had an issue with an employee in your Vero Beach , Florida location which is a homegoods : Marshalls combo store. Her name is Anita and works in the home section , to my knowledge she is a coordinator of that area . She is not only rude to customers but also to the people who work below her , they are intimidated to the point that they don't even want to help customers when she is there. Ther recently underwent management changes and the manager Vinny is very nice but I believe unaware of her actions as he's extremely busy. I have now had to travel almost an hour to ship nevaie of the discomfort level she has caused . I'm sure I'm not the only one. On my last visit an elderly lady asked her for an item , her response what we have is out if you don't see it it's not there. This is not typical for HG behavior and I hope someone will get this and talk to her. Thank you for your time in reading this and I am sure this will be addressed.
Your very loyal customer!!

HomeGoods in Boston had 2 bathrooms that they let the public use(before COVID) One year later, I needed to use the restroom & now they say it's just for employees. So customers can't use the bathroom?! What if there was an emergency, which I read from a previous customer. I called corporate and they spoke with the manager(he said there was just 1 bathroom(which is NOT true, there is 2, asking can I use the one on a bottom floor, the manager said No. I find this to be very cruel. They are owned by Tjmax(which allows customer use). I read a woman with a emergency medical condition was refused. This may seem small to others, but this IS Showing how they Feel about their customers. I use to love HomeGoods, but their management are rude. I hope it changes, if Not for me, the Senior Citizens or Disabled. The CEO(ERNIE HERMANN) Needs to know this!!!

One of the hinges broke because of faulty pressed wood. In front of people this manager made me feel humiliated. I asked to return it to my and he proceeded to point out everything wrong and offered 29.99 for product that was 140 - probably 139.99 . No longer shopping at home goods because of how I was treated. Condescending.

I was in the Palm Bay FL Home Goods stores yesterday February 19 and was surprised to see two customers in the store with their dogs in the cart. I asked an employee with two other employees with her if any of them were the manager none were I voiced my opinion on why they allow dogs in the store they said they are a animal friendly store and allow dogs, cats or other animals in the store. Tell me why you need your animal with you unless it's a service animal in the store, animals don't belong in the store, I don't want to purchase towels, blankets or anything and put it in a cart that an animal was in and get hair or anything else on my purchases. What if someone is highly allergic to animal hair this just doesn't seem like a very good idea. I shop a lot at home goods my homes I've lived in have 80% of my home goods in my home but if this is your new policy I will not shop here anymore, I have nothing against animals but they belong at home, whether it's home goods Home Depot or any other store that allows this, it has gotten out of control and should be stopped, I know I will get a lot of nasty remarks about this but I'm entitled to my opinion about this issue, I have to take my children to the store because they can't stay home by themselves but animals can so please leave them at home and let us all enjoy are shopping

I wanted to return 2 items to home goods on Cactus in Phoenix, Az. I had the receipt and the tags were on the items. The manager refused to return them because they were out of season. WHAT! I am associate at TJ MAXX and our return policy is quite clear that we will return item with and receipt and tags no matter the length of time with a gift card. Lease clarify.

Larry Z the manager at Home Gooda in Syosset needs to find a job that doesn't deal with people. I had a paid for pickup that he called me to come pick up. When I arrived the piece was broken. It was not that way when I purchased it. He told me I had to get on the line that was wrapped around the store in order to process my refund. I explained to him that I had to borrow a truck and made a special trip. The truck was too large to park in the parking lot and I was parked in front. He basically told me too bad. He had zero customer service. The fact that the piece was damaged in his store and I went out of my way to pick it up and borrow a truck, he told me it was too bad to get on line if I wanted my refund. I will never shop in that or any other home goods ever again. It's despicable the way he handled this situation.

Hello, during covid especially Don't you think that keeping store clean is a necessity... piles of dust is everywhere.

I bought a bench from home goods and unfortunately did not keep the recipe because I loved the bench so much. Just a month after purchasing it, the bench broke and when I called to ask if they would be willing to work with me the manager said to bring it in and they would do everything they could to help. So I brought the bench in and the manger there that day would not even try and work with me...even thought the bench had a code on the bottom of it. I find it very....very frustrating that one manger was willing to work with me and then once showing up a different manager would not even give me the time of day. Especially after the fact home goods product broke on me. This defiantly question if I would shop with home goods again.

I had a bad experience at HomeGoods on 1155 Mt Vernon Highway. Dunwoody, Georgia 30338 this evening around 6:15 pm. I was waiting in the line to check out and there was only one sales assistant helping a woman who had loads of items. She kept changing her mind and asking to check the prices again. The assistant called a manager whose name is Abid. He kept talking to the lady about the prices. I asked him if he could get someone else to the 2nd register since I am a middle aged woman with knee problems. I couldn't be standing there for a long period of time while they were debating about the prices. The sales associate called someone to help but no one showed up for a long time. I asked again if anybody could come to help. Abid yelled at me to wait my turn. He kept going on and on being rude and disrespectful. I was humiliated and the people behind me because at that point there were many people waiting in the line were horrified at the way he treated me. I never had anybody talk to me in a rude way like the way he did. That is not acceptable to treat people that way. I am done with HomeGoods.
