Kindle must be losing clients at a fair rate of knots as it is almost impossible to contact them to update payment detailsi

My mother downloaded books to her Kindle using an Amazon gift card on February 9, 2015.

The books did not download, but the gift card was charged $38.96. Several phone calls, customer service reps, and hours spent on hold has not been able to reconcile the problem. We have been told we would be contacted between 24 - 48 hours, at least three times. We contacted them each time, and had to tell the same story over, be put on hold, and tell it to the next person.

So disappointed.

I have a Kindle Fire in the first year it had to be replaced 6 times the 6th one went about a month after the warranty expired. Needless to say I now have a Kindle Fire that I got less 7 months of use out of all 6. My wife had the same problem with hers. They did offer to replace them with a refurbished on at a reduced price. Which was $20 more then I could have bought one on Amazon.com. When running a search I found that they knew of the defect and would not issue a recall or do anything to fix the problem

I cannot buy Kindle products because my credit card has expired and I am unable add a new one despite following all the Amazon directions. I tried to leave a phone number but once again this failed. I have been trying to fix this situation for nearly two hours.

My kind has stopped working. They won't even look at it to see if it is possible to repair it - they don't even know what is wrong with it. Their answer - just buy a new one.

Hi Kindle,
I am distressed because I cannot get past page 1 of my ebook on my IPad mini.....Journey to Ixtlan because I keep getting a pop up about buying more Carlos Castaneda books.....

This is not good as I am on vacation and missing restful reading time!!!! I have tried putting several books on my wish list hoping that would get me past the pop up and into chapter 1. It has not worked yet.
Please, tell me what to do!!

After 48 min on the phone for my Kindle fire that has not been usable for ???? months still no fix. The kindle randomly types a y while you are typing so you cant even log on. Then after the long 48 mins of trouble shooting I was offered a discount for a new kindle!!! Why would I buy another kindle....this one was rarely used and malfuntioned. I dont recommend the kindle fire. Go elsewhere. It was a waste of money.

I have a Kindle Fire HDX. I have 2 different study Bibles on it. PRIOR to all of the "updates" I was able to navigate from one area/reference back to the list of references using the back arrow. This is crucial when using this sort of study book. Now the back arrow takes me to the home page each time. That's like looking up a list, touching the link you wish to read (of flipping pages of a paper book) and when utilizing the back arrow it takes me to the home page (which is like closing the entire book & having to look up the page for your reference list every time you flip to a topic). The upgrades, as they effect me, are the size of the letters/keys on the typing screen are ridiculously small, the 3 bars in upper left corner to access tables of contents are even shorter, making it more difficult to use this tool in operation.
It is completely and totally unacceptable that a reference book would not allow one to toggle from a link back to the page of links one was referencing!! I have this Bible in paper form-it's quite large-I bought the Kindle version because I've had surgery on both hands & find it difficult to hold a thick or heavy book. The specific books I'm referencing are the NIV Celebrate Recovery Bible and the Life Application study Bible in the NLT version. I am extremely frustrated as I was able to use the study tools by using the back arrow before the "upgrades" which are downgrades to me. Please evaluate this and determine if there can be a solution. I refuse to believe that I am the only one experiencing this issue. Thank you, Bible nurse

I am so frustrated trying to find out what kindle i own....you keep showing pictures on the website support but how the heck do i know what model it is. I really want to know if it can be charged in Thailand? that is the one thing i cannot find out...

I use amazon only for kindle books. The freight charges to Australia make physical purchases way too expensive given the other on line market places available. I now have no choice but to transfer my account to the Aust Amazon branch but this means I lose the outstanding balance on my gift card. This stinks. The platitude about using ‘manage content etc’ to switch back is useless. After doing this my order is ‘being processed’ and has been so for the last half hour. I’m extremely angry about this. It shows Amazon’s callous disregard for its customers. Very dissatisfied.

I have been unable to download books I have purchased. I have been calling customer service since 12/1 to fix it. I have never received the "engineer" call I have been promised. Instead, the techs have wiped out ALL my books and I am stuck with books purchased and NO WAY to get what I have bought. Kindle is rude. Kindle is holding back merchandise I have purchased. This is like a theft! I call and call, and I get NO WHERE! This is a shock because we own two kindles and have LOVED kindle for years. This is the worst experience. All my books are gone, and my device is useless, and IF I AM LUCKY an engineer MAY call me by 12/31, an ENTIRE month later.

i have a kindle that is 2 1/2 years old, it stopped charging, after numerous attempt to talk to different people at kindle, and them admitting to the problem with these units, they still would not replace this and wanted me to pay for a new one, i am completely and utterly disgusted and will not purchase a new one, i cant beleive that they can do this to a customer who has purchased 3 kindles and spends money with them on a continous basis.

I am so sick of being blown off by help support when I try to get assistance to get bugs worked out. I have 2 kindle fire he's, one was received last November as a present. Well, by this November it didn't,so I applied for a new one, still being under warranty. The second one came and is in worst condition than my first one. The half of the keyboard is not visible so you can't use it at all. I was told that it was a new kindle, but the box says is refurbished. I was told it was a packing error and the kindle is new. After many times of calls, I have two kindle that barely work. NOW, I WANT TO TALK TO THE SUPERVISOR IN CHARGE WHO IS ALWAYS OUT WHEN YOU WANT TO REACH THEM! PERSONALLY, I WILL NEVER BUY FROM AMAZON AGAIN. THEY TOLD ME My COMPUTER WAS HACKED AND IT WILL COST ME 300.00 IMMEDIATELY TO FIX IT. WHEN I SAiD I HAD NO MONEY HE INSISTED I USE A Credit card. I received Kindle HD last Xmas (2013) and it continues to Lockup. The 1st time, not knowing, I chose back to factory settings, which LOST all the books I purchased. I never got them back. A receipt should be emailed upon purchase. I purchased 3 books last night, listened for a few minutes and today I cannot access the book.
There seems to be a total disconnect between Kindle books & Kindle Audio. When used 24 HR Help - Kindle can not help me. I get transferred to the Audio side. They fix the problem, but should not have to go through these hoops every time a audio version is purchased. I would also like to have the 1st sets of books reinstalled on my Kindle.

I see many others have the same problem as me. I got my Kindle Fire for Christmas in 2012. I think the original wad relaxed under warranty about 3 times because of the charging port gluing or. After the first year the warranty wad or and couldn't be replaced anymore. It is 2 years old now and the charging port had gone out now for good.

My husband purchased me a Kindle and after a year I was not able to charge it. We purchased a rapid charger for the Kindle and it still would not charge. We took it in for repair and we were told it could not be fixed. I could charge it if I taped the cord in the charging port and pulled on it tightly, but that only worked for a few months before it wouldn't charge at all.

I thought I just got a bad Kindle. My daughter wanted a Kindle Fire for Christmas, so I bought her one 2012. Needless to say her charging port has stopped working. We pay good money for these Kindles. Now Amazon is advertising them on TV for $99.00. I shared this with my husband and he said they're probably selling them at a lower price because they realize they are an inferior product and are disposable. Only purchase if you are willing to throw it away when it stops charging. My daughter asked Best Buy if they could repair her Kindle and she was told no. Disappointed Kindle owners.

I bought one Kendall Fire and the charging port went out. Amazon sent me a replacement and now the charging port on it went out.. Amazon has told me my only option is to buy a new Kendall with a small discount. Seems like a brilliant business plan to make sure the orders keep coming in. Spoke to several customer service agents who all tried to tell me that this was not a known problem, that is until I pointed out that many customers on their own website had made the exact same complaint.. At which point the Supervisor I was speaking me to informed me that It did not effect him either way if I ordered a new Kendall or stopped using the products. After this I will stop using amazon, there are just to many other options.. BUYERS BE WARNED this is not the product you want. I will be posting this on all of the review sites so that maybe I will save some people the trouble that so many have encountered

All I wanted to do was get started. I'm not computer literate. Could not get it hooked to internet. Need to register can't register need to be hooked to Wi-Fi. Person just kept talking in computer language, not lay-mans terms. Finally said forget it. I'm returning to company as help is useless so kindle is useless.

Could you please DO something about the second account attached to my email address. The one that has no books in it. It is causing me endless trouble. I cannot purchase items I need. My previous appeals have just being ignored. PLEASE ASSIST
