I'm still waiting for Money gram to refun me my money

The recording says that if your money order has been cashed I can still get a refun, I'm patiently waiting






The money order was $192.30

I had sent in the form indicating that my purse was stolen and the moneyr was was in there. I filled out the form and sent you a copy of receiopt, there was plenty eanought time were the money order could not be cashed. When I called your office a CSR indicate that it had not been cased but was in the process, well that is telling me she shoudl have done something. I WANT MY MONEY IF NOT WE ARE GOING TO COURT. IWAS TOLD BY SEVERAL DIFFERENT CSR THAT I WOULD GET MY MONEY BACK

I have been sending money with moneygram for a long time. all of a sudden tried to send my sister in law 40 dollars and was told was under review, tried twice the same thing. I called and after a few minutes hold was then transfered to moneygram in Nicaruaga to some person there who said my sister in law was a problem with moneygram. she is 60 years old and does not send or receive money from moneygram except for what I send. Nicaruaga could care less, didn't want me to speak to a supervisor and I pushed the issue they gave me I assume just another rececption person. She said that the problem was with me, and that I had a problem and that I could no longer send money! would not give a reason at all. I have never been arrested nor a criminal, I also am a former police officer. I am just a little angry at this stupidity. I will call corporate and if I don't get any help I am going to find out if its because I am a conservative. I have a suspicious feeling this is politically motivated. anyone else out there with this problem and discrimination let me know by posting here.

I have been using moneygram online to send my son money 2-3 times a month, usually $25 or $30. I was told a couple of months ago that I could no longer send online, that I would have to go into a store. When I called MG to find out why I was told by three different people that all they know was it was for security reasons, really? What do they think I'm doing? Laundrying less than $100 a month? Now when I go into a store to send it, they block it every single time, I have to call and answer stupid questions for them to release my money..I've asked them why it's being blocked every time and what do you know, they can't answer that either..I would not recommend anyone to use moneygram..my transactions are state to state, not international.

Customer Service is joke! Refused to answer any questions and if they did, it was nigh on impossible to understand the reply. Hung up on ME on three consecutive phone calls. Save yourself a lot of heartburn, go elsewhere. By the way, this is the first time I have ever written a review.

If it would not have been for the non excisting customer service by a Mrs Esmeralda, I would probably never have stepped into a bank and ask to do a transfer of money.

Not only is it a LOT cheaper, there is also more control and REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Since my last feedback here, the lady in question refuses to give me an answer to my question and not the standard answers, every case being particular.

I had many bad experiences with Western Union and thought I'd switch to MoneyGram. I can see from the start, their customer Service is a hot mess. Call centers in the Philippines do not understand that in the U.S. we have a saying, "The customer is always right". They take your money, make it impossible for you to contact them and then you wait and pray only to be denied. How do these companies stay in business? I can't wait to see these monopolies toppled with reputable American run companies.

Every time I have attempted to send money,it has been a problem. After calling and answering numerous "security" questions, being advised the transaction complete and funds available, confirmation email and number, funds withdrawn from my account moneygram will not release funds to recipient who has valid I'd. I spoke to 5 different people, the escalation department and still nothing. I request cancellation which will take 3 to 5 days,this whole process is unreasonable and the consuming and ridiculous. I asked for a manager was advised he did not have a manager, no phone number or address for complaints, WOW!! Needless to say, I will never use them again and I will be sure to tell everyone I know. Bad way to do business.

MoneyGram offer of free 3 min call is a SHAM. everytime I send money the email I receive gives me a number that tells me time expired. Then it takes 3 5 calls to get a working number. JUST DONT offer the FREE call

Costumer service, talking about the peopple on the phone, is good, we try to help but we are very limited. We don't really know the reasons why of the reviews, we don't even know what this "department" ask the costumers, and we can ONLY transfer the call to them and this is hard for us, even when costumers requests supervisor we have to transfer to the same place. I have heard peopple waiting over the phone go more than 10 hours and I have heard peopple crying on the phone but, what to do ? This is my job, we all have needs and after we hang up nobody remember us, or our fake names.
CostumerS sometimes call us "stupid", or they often say they want to talk with "real americans", God... real Americans have you like this ! By holding your money.
I'm very sorry for all the stories I've read and good luck for the ones that still waiting.

I really have no issues with transactions and customer service. I think they are good. I'm sure they are just doing what they been told to do.



My main concern is~

Lately when I try to login to the moneygram website, it won't log me in and a message pop out saying "too many tempted or We are unable to change your password at this time. Please try again later or call for assistance."



Too many logon attempt? I just logon.



When I call that number, the person who answered the phone is asking to many questions like, my email address, social security number, birthdate, county I live in, city where I live, last people that I send money to, place where social security was issued, phone number and more? And then the person said that they are trying to access my public record. My public record shouldnt show my personal informations.



I'm not sure why moneygram staff need all my personal informations and they have to access my public record just to reset a password?



I don't think people's personal informations like social security and the place where it obtained will show publicly.



Whenever I go to any moneygram locations, no one is asking those personal informations and no one is accessing my public record.



My question is, When the moneygram staff asking their customers for their personal informations, are they accessing the customers consumer's report without the customer's consent?

Worst Ever!! They had my money for 24 hours been waiting on the phone for 10 hours with no response!!! Files a complaint and request three time on internet and no response. ahmNever will use them again. Contacted my bank for refund.

I am sending money to someone that is very ill and needs this money to buy medication. MoneyGram is holding up this money for further review. MoneyGram has been holding this money since May 11th and today is May 14th. I'm told it needs further review however they will not answer there phone for me to give them further review. This man is going to die if he does not get this money for his medications. This company is a greedy rotten company. I believe they are holding this money to collect interest.

Please I will never ever send money through MG again. This is ridiculous that they take your money and hold it for hours while you are on hold trying to talk to them to verify your funds. My son was on hold for over 4 hours. My son sent me money this morning and when I try to retrieve the money there was no transaction found. I called Money Gram at got a rep in a few minutes asked him why is the funds on hold he couldn't give me any information my son needed to call them to verify the funds. I tried to 3way son on the line the rep at first said that was okay once I 3way my son the rep than said that my son needed to call MG from his own phone number. Son than called MG and was on hold for over 4 f_ _ _ _ing hours.. Waiting over 4 hours to verify your transaction is ludicrous and MG need to be out of business for sure. After 3 hours of my son holding I then called MG back at 1-800-926-9400 I was on hold for 15 mins, A man answered I told him my issue he transferred me to the legal department which I was on hold for a total of 54 mins before the legal department answered. I spoke to Mr. Clovis at that time I asked for a supervisor he wanted to know why, I explain to him my issue with the hold time and to verify funds that I needed today but the funds needed to be verified. Clovis said that my son needed to call I told Clovis he's been on hold for over 4 hours now waiting for someone to pickup could he call my son from or do he have a direct number. Clovis told me NO they cannot call out nor do they have extension. At this time I was frustrated and Mad As Hell this is a shame what MG is doing to people with their money and people need their money immediately if I wanted to wait I would have told him to mail me a check. Clovis told me to have my son to call another number was told to call this is suppose to be their direct number. While I was on the line with Clovis I was texting my son and gave him the number that Clovis gave to me, son said that is the number he dialed the one that he has been on hold for over 4 hours. MG you can do better than this or you need to GO OUT OF BUSINESS. You cannot expect to treat people badly and get good result from it. I understand that you need to verify some legal issue with fraud. However, everyone is not fraudulent nor criminals you need to hire enough staff to handle your call volume. Hell you can even hire people to work from home in the US which will cut down your Payroll Cost. However something must be done or you will be going out of business.. You are making money for each transaction that is being sent so where is The Customer Service, making people wait on hold for over 4 hours is not Good Customer Service and people do have better things to do than to wait on hold for hours trying to verify their money that was sent legally. The funds were going US to US not out of the country. If I pay for a service I should be given the service that was paid and that was money being MoneyGram from one US Citizen to another US Citizen within the United States of America.

Due to the amount of Thr transaction that was accepted. Money ram is holding my money...
To this time I have spent over 2 hours on hold..

This is disgusting customer service . ... If they cannot send my damn money just return it and I will wire it.
I will never ever use money gram again. They assume to much , and Believe quoting you tell them to co firm your reason Accor sending v money to family in countries they Re watching ..my nephew was beaten and robbed and beaten in Lagos Nigeria. All his identity Papers, passport Visa. ... Without a Passport you. Can not receive Moneygram in a foreign country. Sone asked one of his employees tif he would pick up his money with him .......so immediately I was being scammed... They would. Or listen to any reason,....they are idiots.. It was. My money.. I can understand a warning regarding scammers.

I am trying to complain about customer service and this doesn't help. I an already 5 minutes on the phone and nothing.

XCPS420030 this is my ticket number if anyone wants to actualy provide cusomer service. A very bad experience indeed and will tell everyone who wants to know.

I am very disappointed by Moneygram customer service, if you can call it that. Since april 28th I have been waiting on a simple answer and now the people there just don't want to answer any more.I feel insulted by the silence, like thinking I am a disturbance in their lives and will go away if they stop answering. Customer service is what business is all about.

Our daughter is visiting another state snd needed money sent for diapets so we did transaction online and was told to call for further info Well some damn foreigner answers and asked a ton of questions and was extremely rude and even asked what the money is for "I said diapers" he basically said I was lying wtf it's 20.00 it's my money oh I'm so mad

Performed a simple wire transfer. Received an email stating more information was needed. Wanted to if the email address was mine or not (I used my husbands email - we use each others interchangeably). I explained that I chose to use his. They read me the riot act for this. My husband asked to speak with them and then they reacted doubly worse by insisting that he couldn't talk to them and by doing so, violated the terms. My husband explained he just wanted to help understand what missing information was being asked for, but instead, the clueless CSR kept repeating some babbling nonsense about not allowing the use of my husbands information (as if they were in the house with me when I did this). What a load of crap. Will make a BBB complaint in the morning.

Couldn't get passed the security questions!!! Asking me what my address was from 25 yrs ago or one of my potential majors, or the age of my niece - how does Moneygram have this information? So insane!

I just went to Walmart to send some money to my Son out of state, and was surprised to find out that it is required to give a physical address instead of a P O Box. Which is where I get my mail, it is not right and very un-American to ask for a home address as a sender unless you plan to visit someone. I feel very uncomfortable giving that kind of personal private information to anyone. I've read the information that you have on this website, and quite frankly it is only there to cover your backside. There is too many businesses like this one that have way too much personal private information on too many people. If I don't care about it, I certainly cannot expect any one else to and that is precisely why I have used this forum to voice my opinion.
