We went to return an item within the 14 days and were told we could only exchange. This was after we specifically asked whether or not we could return when we purchased the item and were told yes. This is very poor customer service and we won't purchase anything from this store again. I will be sure to spread the word about this to others I know so they don't have to experience the same.

I returned two items I didn't need. I had the receipt and items were both unopened with tags still on. If folks are complaining here about refunds my guess is the error was in their part and not the stores. Grow up folks!

I ended up very upset and a bad headache. We where told we would be able to get Killer Clown guns and plaques available at Spirit Holloween store off hwy 151 in San Antonio Texas. But after seeing management and employees grab all the Killer Clown items and taking them for themselves it was very upsetting. The girl wearing short shorts to show off her Nightmare Before Christmas tats up her tigh was bragging about how She's so happy how there able to grab all the great items for themselves first. They can't say they where holding the items for customers because they where paying for them. So very upsetting and disappointing to see this girls wearing short shorts with all kinds of tattoos and bragging. Customers should be able to go and buy this items in store not depend on online ordering. We waited for hours just to see employees grab the items we waited for hours and ended up told they didn't get the items, I would have believed it if I hadn't witnessed otherwise.

LIE about their return policy.! These costumes are expensive. You can't try them on so when you get home to and they don't fit and you bring it back, you can't return it even exchange. Rude customer service and could care less but hey thanks for making me waste $30.00s on a hat cheap shirt eye mask and cheap money bag. I will never shop here again. Couldn't even exchange. Horrible experience! . Just wanted my money back.

This place is not okay. I was a worker and was screamed infront of all the customers by the district manager. They had me covering 3 places in the store at 1 time. Then when the district manger thought she saw someone steal it was in me because I wasn't there. The store is a joke and is not a good place to work at all. Your hours are never secure and they treat you like your nothing even when you do everything.

I contacted the spirit of Halloween help line, and after a brief hold period I was connected with a CSR. This CSR name was Wyatt, this young man was polite patient and incredibly helpful, to the level of contacting the store closest to me and verifying they had the costume I wanted available he also informed me about the instacart app to make any future inquiries easier. At the end of the call I thanked him for his Superior help and he informed me this was his first day. I hope Wyatt doesn't encounter too many Karen's or Richard's during this Halloween season. He was a monumental help and represented the spirit of Halloween company very well, that a boy !!!

me and my daughter were in Springfield Oregon location and this employee with pink hair didn't like how thin her mask was and said she had to switch which is fine but I said it states face covering and her face is covered she said ya but use common sense I found Tue way she spoke to us was extremely inappropriate and rude we then got asked to leave because I said (common sense are you serious?) it says face covering she had that she doesn't know but my daughter has severe asthma and can't breathe in tasks but she didnt ask just was so rude

Horrible place! Will not return even though I asked if it didnt fit if it could be returned. Took back the next day and was told no. Will never shop here and will also make sure everyone I know will not be shopping there. Thanks for nothing!

the store at slaughter and manchaca a female employee asked me where i bought my eyeglasses says she lost them in store and followed me and my wife into heb next door harrassing me and my wife about my glasses called a family member of hers to to come harrass me and my wife while we were shopping and while this was happening she had her spirit store uniform on

These people are the worse in the world, My daughter created an order online by mistake and used my PayPal account, I called they dont answer, I tried to. Hat with them live no answer,send them 7 emails to try and cancel the order no response trying to explain I dont have the money to cover the ridiculous ammount of money spend, no answer they just shipped the items, to make things even worse they dont accept returns wtf kind of crap is that, its straight robery

This posted return policy is a lie. I had items that I didn't end up needing. Tried to return the same day. They said I would have to exchange it for something else. They stated they do NOT take returns after Oct 18th. Even though I had just bought items that day. Never opened

Ordered 2 coneheads online last week, only received one in the mail today. No way to get to "customer service" by calling their phone number. They are supposed to call me back. Their online recording says go online to live chat, the option doesn't work (today 10/25/19). Needless to say my credit card was charged for 2 items. These could not be found in the store. Very disappointed but waiting to see if anyone responds to me.

hello, I have been trying to call for hours. I received the wrong product. I ordered the full Billy mask from the movie SAW ... order number 600440397..... I received a childs witches costume. I Needed that mask for Saturday evening. Now I have everything for the costume except the mask. Now I have to go hunt around in stores to find it or do something else... thank you for messing this up. I want a full refund for the mask that I did not get.. It said no returns after October 18th but this error is on your end not mine. So I will be expecting a full refund. Thank you for making a simple thing screwed up. Please credit my bank account that the mask was paid for.

Awful. Completely awful. Bought a cheap wig from there that doesn't even fit. It says I can return within 14 days. Went there a couple days after October 18th and they said no returns, I can only exchange. WTH?? The most ridiculous policy I've ever heard of in my entire life. Never shopping here again. Warning everyone to beware.

Last evening, (9/27/2019) I went into the store and a young, white, male was texting on his mobile phone and walking around the store wearing a sports jersey. He was a poor example of a professional employee. Another young, black girl was "hiding" by the dressing rooms and fidgeting with her nostrils/nose...maybe picking it? Neither employee was aware of me being there. They were not welcoming and there was no customer service. Someone easily could have shoplifted from the store. Ignorant and stupid employees. In addition, the register was in the back of the store and the store was not set up properly. It was cramped and displayed totally wrong. Furthermore, Spirit Halloween Store should close down for good.

I ordered a animatronic in May or June and got an email stating that if I still wanted it that it would be shipped 08/01/2019. Preorder number is 01384734 a 7.1 Ft Nightmare Harvester Animatronic. I have written at least twice since the first of the month without any kind of an answer. I have been doing business with Spirits of Halloween for about five years now. Is this how you treat your VIP customers? We want this item with the discount that we were getting.

Bought a costume for my wife and myself on 19 October. Neither one fit. Went back the next day to return them and exchange for the correct sizes. None in our sizes were available. Asked for a refund. No signage posted to indicate their 17 October return cutoff date.
Told rudely that all sales are final. I will never shop there again.

I ordered something from Spencer's gifts and it was damaged. A few days later I received an email from Spirit Halloween stating that they are charging me again for the same item plus an extra $13 for shipping. The phone numbers are not accepting calls, there is no live chat and no responses using email.

So my sister and I bought wigs at a store located in mall by our house, well we got home ans tried the wigs on and they didn't fit and looked really weird. We had place we needed to go so we couldn't take them back that day. The next day we brought them back and we were "helped" by the rudest and "sly" customer service rep at the same store. She took the wigs out, stuck her face in them and said they smell used, went to get 2 "random" wigs from the racks, which we saw her going through the wigs and not grabbing the obvious resale wigs that didn't have proper packaging for 5minutes, came back and said "they don't smell like this," proceeded to shove the wigs in our faces saying "see these ones smell like plastic, these smell used," which wasn't true, because the wigs we had purchased smelled strongly of plastic and had only been tried on for 10 minutes if that. My sister and I left, went to a different Spirit Halloween to return the wigs and the girl helping us there was like "trying wigs on is fine, we know they don't work for everyone" and proceeded to give us our refund. I like Spirit Halloween, but after dealing with the very rude employee who was obviously lacking in guest services training, and shoving supposedly new wigs in peoples faces, I don't know if I'll shop at one again. It really does only take one terrible employee to kill your brand for people.
